I bought a yorkie girl from Betty Pedram. ( Betty's teacup yorkies )

She was cute little thing but after few weeks, she started having a seizure.
I brought her to the vet and found out she has liver problems and collapsed trachea.
My vet told me she wouldn't be able to live long.

I contacted Betty Pedram about this matter.
All she said was if the dog dies within a year, she will give us replacement puppy.
Should I be expecting my dog to die early so I can get another puppy?
I found it so sickening.

My dog had multiple seizures and now, I can't even be out for a long time because I am so scared of her having a seizure when no one is around. I adore her so much and it is so heart breaking to see her suffering.

If you are considering about buying a puppy from Betty, I strongly suggest you not to.
Buying her puppy will most likely to cause you expensive vet bills and broken heart.

Karen Smith can you tell us which puppy you bought from Betty's Yorkies? The name that Betty used to sell her? I have been following Betty's Yorkies and her dogs and know most of their names. Can you give us a few more details about the transaction?

Please also understand, that there is no such thing as a "Tea-cup Yorkie" They are simply runts bred with runts, and sell them at a higher price. Any reputable breeder would never use that term to sell a Yorkie, "teac-cups" do happen, but a reputable breeder does not breed for them. Because of their small size there are often many medical issues - and it is common in "teac-cups". If you see any breeders using the terms "Tea-Cup" "Micro" Or "Precious Baby Doll" RUN FAR AWAY. Often their dams used are incredibly small - under 4 pounds - and that is CRUEL. Please keep yourselves educated before buying any particular type of breed. YorkieTalk.com is a great forum to learn from. I am so sorry for your situation - I hope it takes a turn for the better.

Betty is a disgraceful human being! Selling these dogs at over-inflated prices and buying from Korean puppy mills! There aren't enough puppy mills on this continent for you? I need a new project. Think I'll just see if I can find out anything about you through Rev Canada.

i sure wish i had found this site before i ever became involved with Betty. my poor little yorkie girl died just a few months after i received her (and she had a cold when she came) from seizures. she had the best vet in the world and never stood a chance. IT IS NOT STATED ON HER SITE THAT THESE POOR BABIES COME FROM KOREA (UNLESS SHE JUST PUT IT THERE) AND I WOULD HAVE NEVER PAID THE KIND OF MONEY I PAID FOR A SICK DOG FROM A PUPPY MILL IN KOREA. SHE PROMISED ME ANOTHER DOG BUT AFTER SHE GOT MEAN AND HATEFUL AND UGLY I TOLD HER I DIDNT WANT ANOTHER ONE OF HER SICK DOGS. SHE CAN LAUGH ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK. SHE TOLD ME SHE HAD NEVER HAD ANOTHER DOG DIE. WELL, THAT WAS LIE #47. DONT GET TAKEN IN BY THIS OPERATION. NOT WORTH THE HEARTACHE. NOW BETTTY DO YOU REMEMBER ME?

Our shihtzu passed away at the vet today ... she was received with the mange ... skin allergies ... she grew adult teeth with all her baby teeth in tact ... I have sent her the vet bills ... received a call from the owner who was a guy ... they promised to do something and no response ... today she was taken to the vet and passed away ... I have all of the paper work from the vet since day 1... the dog weighed over 8 pounds full grown ... we are completely heartbroken ... it’s funny Betty denies ever having health problems but I see so many reviews about sick dogs ... it’s insane to me...

All these nasty complaints are completely false
I bought 3 teacup pups from Betty's teacup yorkies and I have to say I couldn't be happier
They are the most adorable and healthiest dogs I have bought and I have referred so many of my family and friends to Betty, who have also purchased these tiny munchkins and have no complaint what so ever
Did you really re vaccinate your pup, any person in there right mind knows that you do not re vaccinate a pup right after you get her.
On top of that you gave full dosage and all the shots the same day geeezzz!
You should stay far away from dogs

There's no such thing as a 'tea cup' dog Betty. As a reputable breeder, which you think you are, I can't believe you're using this term. You're in it for the money, plain and simple..it's obvious. No dog is worth that much. "Tiny vet specialist"? Really? There's NO SUCH THING! It made me laugh to read that! You can hide behind these terms, but your reputation is tarnished.

I would like to know why Betty doesn't post photos of the sires and dames of these pups she is selling. If she is a reputable breeder, she is the first I've seen who doesn't give more information as to where they come from... I see several red flags here.

Yes I agree because I called this week asking questions about the parents of a puppy I saw on her website that I wanted and she doesn't give a straight answer...she is very shady. I have been warned about breeders that don't want to show you the parents of a puppy! AND how young are they being taken from their parents?and from WHERE that she cannot have you see them...there are sick people out there that don't care at all about animals but only for the money they can make on them!

** DANGER ZONE BEWARE ***
first of i would like to say that betty/Joanne pedram is NOT a breeder! she is a puppy broker who buys and resales korean puppy mill dogs.
i have had my experience with this professional scam artist and know first hand how deceiving she can be, DO NOT LET HER FOOL YOU ! she is not who you think she is nor who i thought she was.
i purchased an adorable pom, when i finally got her she was extremely sick and had recurring hypoglycemia attacks. i took her to our vet and had him run many tests, to my shock he told us that she had liver shunt and heart mermer. my baby died at 6th MONTHS OLD! i purchased her from betty's teacup yourkies! i dont want a replacement from her, i dont want another heart ache! had i known my dog was from korea i never would have delt with her. i hope this helps someone elce to not end up woth the pain and dissapointment that i have had to deal with.

Hey

Changed my name everyone knows my name is Joanne, Betty is my middle name.
First of all Hypoglycemia is common in all tines, Having them go Hypo is Neglect not from me but from your care. Running test for a liver shunt on a tiny puppy of 6 months is a RED flag that you don't know what your doing, also a Heart Mermer i don't believe it as all my dogs are checked by a vet if she did have a heart mermer then contact me we will be glad to hear from you showing us all the proof. If this really happened to your puppy you would have contacted me about either her going HYPO or you running test. If you where a good owner and cared for your puppy you would have touched base with me. Anyone can write a bad review so I'm not sure who you are.

P.S if you would have got a puppy from me I'm sure you would have contacted me when the puppy wasn't doing well.
RED FLAG!

Clients who have dealt with me or any of my employees know that we value our customers and do everything to please them.

Also when a client purchases a puppy from us we provided them with a STEP BY STEP guide on how to care for a puppy of this size.

A dog going hypo more then once is a big red flag of how neglectful you are.
a dog this size will not go hypo as long as it is fed !

We just got our Yorkie from Betty's TeaCups 5 days ago. He is exactly as advertised and promised. He was delivered on time without incident. We knew when looking for a Yorkie that we wanted an exceptional small one. This is our 4th Yorkie and we are well acquainted with the breed. This time we wanted a tiny one. We knew this would mean paying a premium for our puppy. Although we paid a premium price, we got a premium dog. Within 12 hours of his arrival we had him to our personal vet for a check and she came back with an all clear (with the exception of a minor case of sniffles from transit). He is adorable, sociable and the cuddliest yorkie we've had. He is now 5 months old and weighs only 20 Ounces. He is charted to be under 2 pounds fully grown. Betty's TeaCups got us exactly what we wanted and we are thrilled.

When looking for our breeder, we carefully reviewed every single breeder/broker in North America. We literally spent months doing our homework. They all have complaints. Its up to you, the consumer, to do your due diligence and determine whether those complaints are justified or founded. Check their grammar. Check the rationality of their comments. There are a lot of internet nuts out there with nothing better to do than pick fights from a keyboard. It's your job to sort the nuts from the legitimate complaints. Take the time, like we did, and find someone you are comfortable with. Check the Better Business Bureau and other consumer protection agencies. Check for litigation against the company and/or principals. In the end Betty's TeaCups gave us exactly what we wanted and gladly paid a premium for. We have no regrets and have an adorable, sociable pup that came exactly as advertised. A big thanks to Joanne for this exceptional addition to our family.

This is all BS. Betty or Joanne does not talk like a real breeder she talks like a scam artist writing in all caps and screaming and blaming her customers and acting like tiny dogs have their own special vets. A vet wouldn't give a small dog all those vaccinations in the same day or revaccinate if the dog has records and no owner should call a so-called breeder every time they go to a vet -- this Betty woman sounds like a horrible scam artist just how she is communicating in this forum!

Its obvious from reading the complaints on this board that firstly, the people who are writing this "jargon" are highly uneducated about caring for small breed animals. They sound like sociopaths. They find it easier to blame others for problems or actions and probably go through life doing the same. They wildly exaggerate things to the point of absurdity. They hate to lose any argument or fight and will viciously defend their web of lies, even to the point of logical absurdity. They are never wrong. Even if shown proof that they were wrong, they will refuse to apologize and instead go on the attack. They are delusional and literally believe that what they say becomes truth. I think the only thing Betty needs to do is screen her clients a little better and avoid the "nutty" ones.

Have a nice day! :)

Very Sad that a person who is not a competent breeder is selling below par dogs. There is no such thing as a "tea cup". Please read the breed standards for the breed and then find a competent breeder who can show you parents, health certs and results on the parents for issues known to be prevalent in the breed. Even the progeny of top quality show dogs don't sell for the kind of money she is charging. Anytime you breed an animal for a "giant" or "ultra small" you start asking for health issues. No surprise these dogs are having heart, liver, or other neurological issues.

People may not agree, but if you go to a person that actually shows dogs, they keep the breed to the standard, the way the dog was bred for, sometimes thousands of years ago. They care about theirdogs and puppies, most, not all spend lots of money for health testing and if the dogs dont pass the tests they dont breed them. Buy from someone who has done this for generations. People that start making the breed smaller, making the breed larger, or mixing the breeds, certainly are doing in for money and dont give a dam about what happens to the animal once they get th money and it is in a new home. The goverment needs to make a smart law. In Pa. alone the puppy mill breeders are allowed 500 breeding females, if they each have 5 puppies thats 2500 puppies from ONE breeder and there are over 100 breeders with thatmany dogs in the area. Yes you can go to shelter but that just gives homes to the puppy mill peoples rejects so they can keep breeding . NO BREEDER should be allowed any more than 10 litters a year. That would drop down puppy births by 10, 000, 000. On the other side, the dog food comanies would loose money, the pet indudtry would loose money, humane societirs and rescues would loose money. Corn producers will loose money from the corn and grain they sell to make dog food, the companies that make dog clothes will loose money. So because of this, they will never lower the number people can breed. Our goverment is like the rest of the United States, WE ARE ONLY ABOUT THE MONEY. People that can just walk up to a mother dog in a cage, reach in, see a sick pup and throw them in their "dead dog ditch", not even try to get it any real care because that takes away from their profit. If you breed from 10-30 litters a year, they must pay $100, 000. to go to imploy people from every state to have law inforcement to check on these people and inforce the laws. Breeders who have 30+ should pay $100, 000 plus $10, 000 per dog over 30. That ALL mixed breed dogs must be fixed by 6 months of ageEvery dpup must be microchipped before they go anyplace other than the place of birth. All to be registered in a data bank, then when the dogs arive at any rescue, the breeder gets the bill.. We cant put a number limit on the number of children people are haveing, but they can put a limit on the number of puppies to be put to death. Just think all the people that will get real jobs now and help the economy.

Betty... time for you to volunteer at the Humane Society! Your selling these poor souls for profit and from Korean! . Shame on you .We have enough unwanted animals in shelters. Do you donate any monies to your local Human Society? It would be nice if you rescued animals from shelters and put them in loving homes. I am truly ashamed of my fellow Canadian who can do this and be able to sleep at night. According to Native American legend, when a human dies, there is a Bridge he or she must cross in order to enter Heaven. At the head of this Bridge waits every animal that the individual encountered during his or her lifetime. Based upon what they know of this person, the animals will decide which humans may cross the Bridge and which will be turned away. Something for you to think about Betty!

I bought a cute little Pom from bettys Yorkies in December. $8000.00. Known at Bisty on her website. When she arrived she looked NOTHING like the photoshopped picture. Not even a couple months letter my poor puppy was diagnosed with a genetical joint disease. All Betty had to say was ship the dog back for new one. So you can replace her with another sick dog Betty? She claims her negative reviews are from "jeaous" people. I have no reason to be jealous of a business I don't work in. My dog has $10, 000.00 worth of surgery and rehabilitation and she can barley walk! She's 6 months old! I wanted my dream dog, and companionship. I wake up everyday and feel bad for my puppy who struggles to even greet me good morning. All her puppies are from a korean puppy mill and she' thinks she reputable because she sold to Paris Hilton. Betty you are a disgrace of a human being.

This is SUCH a scam for STUPID UNEDUCATED IDIOTS. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A TEACUP OF ANY BREED. JUST IRRESPONSIBLY BRED DOGS NOT MEETING BREED STANDARD BY MONEY HUNGRY IDIOTS. LIVER SHUNTS ARE HEREDITARY AND COME FROM BAD BREEDING AND A BLOOD TEST IS THE WAY TO DIAGNOSE THEM THEY ARE NOT A RED FLAG OF THE OWNER NOT KNOWING WHAT THEY ARE DOING IT IS A MAJOR RED FLAG THAT THE BREEDER HAS NO CLUE WHAT THEY ARE DOING. HYPO IS NOT THE NORM AND IS ALSO FROM BREEDING DOGS THAT ARE NOT THE BREED STANDARD. EDUCATE YOURSELF YOU STUPID SAD IGNORANT PEOPLE.

I also bought a dog from Betty, approx. 2 years ago and I'm sad to report that she recently has been having seizures and just yesterday had the worst one to date, we almost lost her. I was naïve and stupid when I bought my dog, I didn't do any research, I just found tea-cup yorkies on the internet, called to go visit and fell in love with my baby. I didn't actually even know she was from Korea until I had paid and was picking her up from their apartment in downtown Calgary when I received the paperwork from Betty or whatever her name is now. I take full responsibility for not doing my homework and contributing to this horrible woman being in the business of breeding and selling sick puppies, but it needs to stop. If you read this post please please do not buy one of her puppies, please do what I didn't. It breaks my heart to see my puppy going through this, today we started her on seizure medication and I only hope that makes a difference as I cant imagine losing her now. This is a real post, I have all the original adoption papers from Betty's yorkies and original pictures ect, do not discount this account of my dealings with this "breeder/broker", lets put her out of business.

This "breeder" who is actually just a broker is clearly in the business for the cash. Period. Tea-cup is also a term for Runt. Anyone who knows anything about Animal Husbandry knows the smaller than standard size off-spring is not the desirable outcome of breeding. The "runt" in a purebred litter especially will be prone to more life altering health issues than the others. If it lives at all. This is another reason she does not sell them until 3 months of age. She needs to make sure they live that long at least. Past the critical weaning age and moving to food. There is no specialty vetranarian for runts. That point is laughable and confirms she has no knowledge of caring for animals. A responsible breeder of any animal would never breed the smallest, sickliest animal of a litter to another one just to produce even smaller and more sickly offspring!
It sounds to me like she makes these things up as she goes as to cover her own ###. I believe she may be a patholigical liar as well as a very skilled scammer to very stupid rich people. Paris Hilton being a very good example of one!
I sincerely hope for everyone's sake, and the puppy mill babies she pedals, she is run out of business!

I'm in the same situation, buy in September a dog Betty, after much told me to send him a day before the agreed date of delivery the person in charge of delivering notice would not travel the dog, she never notice anything, then insisting and several messages at last her husband said the dog ria to the vet because he lacked papers, again the same story, texts and texts until they said the dog could not be sold because he was sick, I already would get one of equal quality, as of today from a week ago'm hoping the photos of the new dog to see if we want it, we've sent several texts and are ignored in them I ask me send a puppy that according to his page is available, I do not get answer, I believe and I will be neutral to what harms are not dogs but their lack of attention to people like us who are the ones who pay thousands of dollars for her cubs, she can be more attentive when there are problems with the dogs and keep the informed buyer in my opinion is a person who can not meet their clients, it is understood that a dog can pass something but honestly I do not quite believe him anything he says, because for more than two months ago are pure absurd excuses and does not send any dog

Betty as a "breeder" you should know your place You are not a vet and you are not a CVT. Stick to what you know and do not attempt to give medical advise on these poor animals that you make profit off of. As CVT I can tell you there is NO such specialist as a "tiny" specialist . Your dogs are basically runts and their is not a Doctor besides maybe a criticalist working in an ER that can be an expert on such dogs. Your gas VS. IV comment really shows your lack of understanding for the biology of animals you sell. Your comments about "They do not have the knowledge or experience to know that tinies are a whole different species than that of larger sized dogs." Vets go to school for 7+ years my dear. How could someone sell these dogs at overprice, knowing they will have problems, a neighbour of mine has a Teacup Yorkie and strongly suggests not to buy one from her, they looked at all of the options possible and with a result of buying it from a different breeder for a much lower price, she now has a "tiny" healthy dog! I wouldn't recommend getting a Teacup puppy from Betty and STRONGLY advise you all to look at your other options available.

I purchased a Maltese from a reputable show dog breeder and when I was on the phone with her the very first thing she said was "I don't sell tea cups, I don't breed dogs that are smaller than they should be for reasons of their health."

Excuse me people who are complaining. I got a teacup pom 2 years ago and she's living a happy life. Her name is Paisley and she is all healthy, so please keep your hate comments away because you have no evidence. Some of you haven't even got a dog from here and your complaing?!
Others don't care about there teacups and just complain? If you were ever to work in a job and your selling pups and people don't like it? You hear all the bad rumors about your store? P.S Paris Hilton got 1 or 2 dogs from Bettyyorkies and she ain't complaining?! So why are you? So please stop annoying Bettysyorkies and mind your own business.

I know this post of yours is very old, but there is no such thing as a teacup. It is a buzz word, used to jack up prices for sickly animals. Even though your pom might not have health issues right now, there is a high possibility that it will later on in life. I own a rescued "teacup". I also own healthy, breed standard small dogs. As these ill bred tiny animals get older, the luxating patella gets worse and they have significant pain from this. She sources these animals from Korea, where there is virtually no rules or regulations, where your dogs mom and dad live a life of horror in a massive puppy mill. Is that justified? Is all the suffering going on in these puppy mills worth it to have a tiny adorable pet? A pet that, eventually, will have joint pain and suffer from luxating patella? She even speaks of this on her website, though she tries to downplay it. I am not trying to attack anyone, when I got my first dog, I fell in love with the adorable tiny dogs. However, I researched until I understood the pain and suffering that exists in order for these adorable animals to exist. I understood that, eventually, I may have to face serious financial and emotional pain as my tiny dog got older and began showing and suffering symptoms related to irresponsible breeding practices. I am grateful for all the information available on the internet, had I not done my research I would of not fully understood the massive issues involved with people who sell these "teacup" animals. The first, and biggest red flag should be the price tag, because if you look into breeders who are involved in showing dogs and breeding to better the breed, they are breeders who do genetic testing to ensure that they are breeding an animal that will better the breed, they win top showing titles, and they sell their puppies for so much less money than people like Betty. That made me pause, because with these people you are getting dogs from champion bloodlines, dogs that you know have excellent pedigree's, and even though I have no interest in showing a dog, the comfort that comes with being able to receive TONS of paperwork and information about the puppies parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, etc, to be able to see the parents of the puppy and know that they come from good, strong bloodlines, that is far more valuable and yet, costs thousands of dollars less than the dogs you see on Betty's page.

To conclude, these dogs are bought and taken from puppy mills in Korea, their parents live a horrible life locked in cages and are forced to breed over and over and over again. These puppies come from sad, awful conditions and she purchases them for dirt cheap. She fluffs them up, and inflates the price, labels them "teacup", in order to lure in a specific demographic of customers. She is preying upon people who she views naive and rich enough to fall for the scam, people who believe that if it costs more, it must be better quality.

I implore anyone who has fallen in love with these teacup dogs to do actual, deep research. I understand that many may have the reaction that I did initially, I read about the horrible parts and thought, "I still want to buy it because if it did come from such a horrible place, I want to save it" or "They won't stop doing this because I don't buy one dog. I want to take care of this dog". I remember feeling the same way. Now, I am a "mommy" to a tiny dog that someone purchased without doing research. They didn't understand the work involved, they didn't understand that this dog isn't an ornament, but an animal. I raise her now with my two other dogs, one from a champion pedigree. Let me explain what you get when you go to a reputable breeder, you get to meet your puppies FAMILY, its mom and dad, its sisters and brothers, you get to look at its lineage, you get to see paperwork that shows that your puppy comes from a long line of healthy dogs. You get a healthy animal that is much less likely to suffer serious health problems, an animal that has much less limitations. You get an adorable animal that WILL turn heads and elicit choruses of "awwww"'s and you get it all for MUCH LESS MONEY! Is my dog bigger than 2lb full grown? YES. But he is supposed to be, and he is adorable and lovely. When I have my "teacup" rescue(who is 2lb full grown) and my other dogs with me, one from a champion bloodline and the other a normal sized chihuahua rescue, I get squeals of "aww how adorable" for all three of them. They are amazing creatures, they are adorable and small. Each of my dogs comes from radically different situations, and I love each of them with all of my heart. The only downside I have, is knowing that my tiny one is going to have the day come where it hurts her to walk, where she randomly will yelp out in pain for moving the wrong way. On Betty's website, she states that these tinies will have luxating patella, and downplays the severity of it. Any HUMAN who has seen someone living with joint pain knows that even if the person is active and seems okay, they often go through a lot of pain and pain causes physical and mental stress and exhaustion. That pain will happen to most of these tinies, but they can't pop an advil or an aleve, AND dogs often do not express that they are in pain unless it becomes unbearable. Bu tthat does not mean it is not in pain. Pain that would of been easily avoided if the people who created the animal cared deeply about its quality of life, instead of the amount of admiration it will get for being tiny. These dogs can't jump around and play like they should because their size makes it dangerous for them--they get tired out very quickly, they can get injured very easily. A dog isn't meant to live its life being held or in a purse. Reading Betty's website, and you will see that she informs you of this too, but again minimizes the reality. She tells you that your dog shouldn't jump around or play or walk too long because it can become hypoglycemic and is very dangerous. The risk you are taking for having your heart broken is very high, eventually, if not now, down the road, these dogs health will decline and they will have to pay the price for the decisions of humans looking to make money .

This is long, I doubt many will read, but I am not trying to attack anyone. I want people to understand the reality of the situation. Puppies are adorable and I understand the appeal of owning an animal that will look like a tiny puppy forever, but that is not how nature works. These dogs are being created by taking the sick, runts and breeding them, taking the runts from the next batch and breeding them, and so on, so you are getting an animal with a lineage of sick animals bred with sick animals over and over. The result may look adorable, however the animal is suffering or will eventually suffer consequences that result from generations of poor breeding.

This 10000% without a doubt Betty herself. The way she speaks is juvenile. She’s a complete psychopath. After a poor young woman held her new puppy as it’s heart stopped in her arms after A WEEK of picking it up from the airport Betty had the audacity to lash out at her, start texting her aggressively and inappropriately and even said that after a few days with the young woman the dog looks like chubaka from Star Trek...who says that after someone just lost their dog and had to deal with the trauma of the entire situation trying to safe it’s life. She KNEW that dog was dying that’s the only reason she kept checking in. She also used every piece of information she could get from the pet mom just to spin it back on her and try to blame her for being negligent or making any potential mistake. The autopsy revealed it was genetic but Betty still tried her best to blame the young traumatized woman can you imagine going through all that reasonably feeling every emotion including guilt and doubt and then have someone try to pin it on you? She’s a complete sociopath psychopath. I also know people who have bought from her and the dogs were very sick. This woman is terrible, what’s worse is people have been talking about putting a case together for years. This needs to be done and attention needs to be brought to this matter. All her company’s dream dogs and Bella pup tea cup whatever she’s done

To clarify I read the story with my husband and we agreed that we felt she was purposely reaching out so she could save face afterwards and legally look like she had done everything she could and “cared”. The last thing these people do is care. They’re money driven torturers. People who run scams know what their doing and how to continue to get away with it that’s why they set up situations to look like they really cared or make sure to have the receipts on text message. They will always make it look like they were good and try to catch you making a mistake or blame it on you. The way she texts her clients and speaks even on these complaint boards is very telling of not only her character but her undeniable GUILT.

After getting a friend request on Facebook from someone calling themselves "Anne Brown" and seeing her profile, and cover photo had Paris Hilton on it...I smelled something fishy. After looking up the photo I find this Betty/Joanne person.
I'm informing people on this thread because I happen to be a Pomeranian breeder. I know this woman buys dogs and resells them. She's out of her damn mind if she thinks she's can now start scamming the reputable dog community.
Beware of Anne Brown, more than likely it's Betty/Joanne.

Absolutely disgusted with Joanne/Betty. I have 3 Pomeranians and the 2 I got from a reputable AKC registered breeder have absolutely no health concerns. Gabbana, my one from Joanne had issues the week we got her. Multiple seizures (not due to our neglect or low blood sugar) and hip/knee issues. She is very careful to never let on until you already have the dog that she is not the actual breeder but that they come from South Korea. Likely traumatized along the way. Although she is a sweet, lovable dog, I'm so disappointed in someone using dogs this way. I have told everyone I know buying small dogs to stay away from this crook.

A follow-up to my previous comments: Let me recap - Things went well, communication was great. Then I wired them money to their bank. I was wary, believe me. When payment went through, That is when things went sour. I did not hear anything from them for two weeks. I followed-up with multiples texts and calls. At one point I think he (her husband, perhaps) was annoyed at my calls. He or her told me via text they were away for two weeks. Nice of them to let me know I was not getting my puppy right away. Probably three weeks after the transaction I received my dog (not a puppy), a week after I posted my experience. I have nothing to gain from this, I am simply being honest about what I have experienced buying a dog from Betty's Yorkie's. After all of the non-responsive texts and calls, they finally sent me my dog. Before I received the dog, I had asked for pictures several times. They told me they would be sending me one (when they felt like communicating back to me). I never got them and I got tired of hounding, at this point I just wanted my dog. When I saw my dog, he looked nothing like the photo I saw. What they posted was a puppy photo of him. Granted, they did tell me the dog was almost a year old. But they also told me my dog was 4 pounds. The dog was almost 7 pounds. My dream, to get a little 4 pound dog. My reality, well you know...My dog, a black Pekinese, is now the love of my life. No health issues other than his nostrils were too pinched so he had surgery to open them up a bit so he can breathe better. He is very happy right now with two other fur siblings (not purchased through Betty). So if you ask, would I buy another puppy from Betty's Yorkie's, the answer would be hell no. That was a big gamble I am not willing to take again. And the comment from Molly Plays was completely uncalled for. If anything, your comment was harassment. This is an outlet for people to get their experiences out. So if you had a good experience with Betty, GREAT for you! You had a happy ending, some others did not. And the comment about Paris Hilton? Really? She is a millionaire who is well connected with the media, of course she is going to get the VIP treatment from Betty. She hand delivered the puppies to her. She would be screwed if she delivered sick puppies to Paris!
Out of curiously though, I would like to know how much she pays the South Korean puppy brokers for these puppies. They come from Gyeonggi Province, South Korea.

-Good luck to you, wishing your puppies good health.
