Mixed Experience at Store: Great Staff, Poor Customer Service for Exchanges
I had a pretty good time at this store, but I gotta say, my experience trying to exchange my dress for a different size was a bit of a bummer. Let me tell you what happened. So, I found this dress that I was totally in love with, and the staff were super friendly and helpful in helping me find it. But when I got it, it was just a little bit too small. No big deal, right? I called them up to order a size up, but they told me the dress had been discontinued and they couldn't get me another size. I was pretty disappointed, but I figured I'd just return it and find something else.
Fast forward a couple of months, and I see the dress on their website again, available in all sizes. I called them up again, hoping to get an exception so I could exchange it, but they told me they couldn't do it. They wouldn't even let me talk to a manager who might be able to help me out. I felt pretty frustrated and upset, especially since I had talked to them before and they had told me it wasn't possible to get another size.
If you're in a similar situation, I'd recommend asking for the name of the person you're talking to on the customer service line. They'll only give you their first name and last initial, but it's better than nothing. It might also be helpful to talk to multiple people if you're having trouble returning something within the window. And if all else fails, try emailing them to create a paper trail.
Overall, I have to say that my experience with their customer service wasn't great. They didn't seem very flexible or willing to work with me, and it left a bad taste in my mouth. It's a shame, because I really did love the dress and the store in general. But I guess sometimes things just don't work out the way you want them to.
BHLDN: A Bride's Worst Nightmare - Terrible Service, Wonky Fit, and Overpriced Dresses
I gotta say, BHLDN is not my jam. I'm getting hitched in May and I started looking for my rehearsal dinner dress way back in January. I found a dress I loved, but it wasn't available when I tried to buy it. So I settled for another dress, but it fit all wonky (and I can usually rock any dress style). Then, wouldn't you know it, the first dress I wanted was back online just two days later. I hightailed it to the store and swapped it out, but they had to order it and said it wouldn't be available until April 17th. I checked back and the date got pushed to April 29th. Then, in May, it still hadn't shipped! I called customer service and they said it wouldn't ship until June 9th. I was so over it and asked to cancel my order, but they said I could only get store credit because they credited my exchange as a gift card instead of my credit card. Ugh. So now I'm stuck getting a dress from this place. I called customer service again and talked to Lily, who was supposed to be a supervisor but was super rude and unprofessional. She kept saying "there's nothing I can do" and talking over me. I've been dealing with this since January and now my wedding is just weeks away. And to top it off, I have to wait 3-5 business days to make another order because I have to wait for my e-gift card. The dress I want only has two sizes left and it's $500! Who spends that kind of dough on a dress with this kind of service?! No wonder there are way more bad reviews than good. And don't even get me started on the fabric - it's like something you'd find at Express but four times the price. BHLDN is a bride's worst nightmare and not worth the insane cost.
BHLDN Review: Terrible International Shipping & Customer Support
Man, I wish I had read these reviews before I went ahead and placed my order with BHLDN. My experience was pretty much the same as everyone else's: a company that claims to ship internationally but has no idea how to do that successfully and the WORST customer support I've ever encountered.
I live in the UAE and have been struggling to find a dress for my wedding. When I found BHLDN, I was so excited! They had beautiful dresses and they had them in my size! I had one great virtual consultation and then proceeded to place my order. For some reason, the online order wouldn't process, so I was told to ring customer service (International calling...ugh).
The lady on the phone struggled with my accent (I'm from NZ), but eventually, we were able to get the address down and the order went through no problem! Or so I thought...
A few days later, I checked my shipping status to see that there was an issue - a missing commercial invoice, a pretty important document for international shipping. I didn't think much of it as I assumed UPS would contact BHLDN as it's their error. A week later, I received an email stating that the dress had been returned. So then began the never-ending calls and emails to BHLDN's 'SUPPORT' team. No one could give me answers, but they suggested I try calling UPS to find out the problem... another international call.
What I came to realize is that the lady on the phone (remember her? She couldn't understand my accent) put down Abu Dhabi, AZ as the address. Now, I'm no expert in American geography, but I'm pretty sure Abu Dhabi is NOT in Arizona! So essentially, there was no commercial invoice because the address taken down was Domestic, not international... FML.
At least they're giving me a full refund - shipping costs included. However, it has been a horrific experience dealing with their USELESS support team. I mean, come on, BHLDN, get your act together!
BHLDN Review: Frustrating Return Experience and Poor Customer Service
I gotta say, my experience with BHLDN was a bit of a rollercoaster ride. I ordered two sizes of a dress, but unfortunately, neither of them fit me quite right. I returned the smaller one within the 30-day window, but didn't receive an email about the refund. To make matters worse, when I returned the larger dress, I received an email saying it had already been processed for a return, but then three months later, I received it back in a box, with a request for more information before it could be returned. I was pretty confused, so I reached out to customer service.
Unfortunately, things didn't get much better from there. They told me that I wouldn't be receiving a refund for the larger dress because the warehouse had decided it had been worn, washed, or damaged in some way. I was pretty upset, because I knew for a fact that there was no damage on the dress - I had only tried it on and sent it back. When I called customer service to explain the mix-up, the representative I spoke to was pretty rude and dismissive. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and while the supervisor was nicer, he still told me that the warehouse makes those decisions.
I wasn't about to let it go, though. I knew that nothing was wrong with either of the dresses I sent back, and I wasn't going to stand for being treated unfairly. I asked to see the photos of the supposed damage, since the dresses still had the tags on them when they left my house. The supervisor said he would look into it, so now I'm just waiting to hear back from him.
All in all, I have to say that while the dresses themselves were nice, my return experience was pretty frustrating. I understand that mistakes happen, but I wish that BHLDN's customer service had been more understanding and helpful. Here's hoping that they can sort out the mix-up and make things right.
Horrible Customer Service and Poor Quality: My Experience with BHLDN
I went to a BHLDN store in New York City to find a wedding outfit. I tried on a two-piece outfit that I thought was the only thing I liked. I ordered both the Havana top and the Bellamy skirt because they had a 30-day return policy. I received a box in the mail a week later, but it only had the Havana top, even though I was charged the full $1,500 for both items. I had to call customer service and wait on hold for 10 minutes before getting a woman on the line who had a bad connection and was very rude. She said she would correct the situation and send me another skirt, but it took another week to receive it.
When I tried on the outfit again, I didn't like it and returned both items through a UPS facility. I received a refund for the top after 2-3 weeks, but I still haven't received a refund for the skirt, almost another month later. I emailed their customer service and was told I'd have to wait 72 hours for a reply. When I got a reply, they said it could take at least another week. After about 1.5 weeks, I still hadn't seen my credit, so I called again. Another woman was fairly rude and told me they put through a claim, and I'd have to wait another 72 hours for a response. This is ridiculous, and the customer service for this company is horrible. I would NOT recommend making any purchases here.
In addition to the poor customer service, the construction and fit of the two pieces I ordered were horrible. The skirt was too small, even though they measured me and told me to order up. The lace top was also a bad fit, with a lot of excess fabric under the underarms that I don't think a seamstress would be able to take in without disrupting the lace/scallop pattern and edging. I regret ever ordering from BHLDN. They're holding $1,000 of my money hostage now while I try to plan my wedding.
BHLDN Review: Frustrating Experience with Customer Service and Stock Management
I recently had an experience with BHLDN that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I had ordered a bridesmaid dress for a wedding in June, but unfortunately it was backordered until March 26th. As my fellow bridesmaids received their dresses, I continued to wait patiently for mine, but was confused when I saw multiple "processing" charges on my bank account. Despite having enough funds, the charges never seemed to go through.
After a week, I received an email from BHLDN requesting that I contact them within 7 days or my order would be cancelled. They claimed that they were unable to get authorization from my bank, which I found odd as I had never experienced this issue before. I immediately called customer service and was told that there was no indication on their end that my order was anything but active. The representative offered to take my card information again to reprocess the charge and assured me that the dress was getting ready to ship out soon.
However, a week later, I still had not received my dress. When I called customer service again, I was informed that the dress had missed the cut off for stock and was now backordered until May 15th. At this point, I was starting to lose hope of ever receiving my dress. To my dismay, a week ago, I received an email stating that my order had been cancelled.
When I called to inquire about the cancellation, I was told that they had attempted to charge my account multiple times over the past three months, with one successful charge that was ready to ship, but subsequent charges were declined. This made little sense to me, and I was understandably upset. When I attempted to reorder the dress with a different card, I was informed that it was now backordered until June 1st.
Overall, my experience with BHLDN was frustrating and disappointing. I would caution others against ordering from this company, as their customer service and stock management left much to be desired.
BHLDN Review: Great Store, Great Dress, Terrible Customer Service - Beware of Hidden Fees!
I gotta say, I had a pretty good experience with BHLDN. The dress was great, the store was great, and the shopping experience was great. But let me tell you, their customer service is totally useless!
So, me and my daughter went to the Chicago store and she couldn't decide between two dresses. The consultant suggested that we order both dresses, get them home, and then decide. She kept saying that there would be no cost to us to return one of the dresses.
The dresses came and my daughter picked the one she wanted. We packed up the other dress for return. The dress was only worn for a couple of minutes, the tags were intact, and it was neatly packed in the original shipping box with bubble wrap on each side.
A couple of weeks later, I got an email saying that instead of the entire $850 credit, I was only being credited $775. I started emailing and calling and have never gotten satisfactory answers.
The first email I sent, I asked why $75 was being deducted. I was told that it was a restocking fee. I kept asking what that was and always got none answers like "oh, that's just what we call a restocking fee." No one ever looked into that.
Then I was told that the website said they charge a $75 restocking fee, but it actually said there may be a fee. After many, many emails and phone calls, they just kept telling me that they couldn't do anything about it but never once did I get an explanation.
Then I was told that the dress must have been damaged, but I said that was impossible from the way it was packed. During a phone call, a rep told me that an inquiry was being sent to the returns department to find out why a restocking fee was charged and would take a couple of days.
Well, 5 business days later I still hadn't heard anything and sent another email asking why the decision was made to charge $75. Then yesterday I got an email saying that the $75 restock fee can not be refunded.
Customer service just gives the run around over and over again. One of the reasons we picked this store was because we were told dresses can be returned at no cost. Yes, I want the $75 credit but even more so I want proof of why they charged it, not just being told basically that's what they do.
I will warn all future shoppers to not purchase unless you absolutely want the dress. Don't believe it when you're told it won't cost you a thing, and don't expect any answers from customer service.
BHLDN Review: Terrible Customer Service and Shipping Delays - Buyers Beware
I'm pretty peeved right now, but I feel like I need to share my experience with BHLDN so that other people know what they're getting into. I ordered a dress from their website on October 20th, and their site said that orders are processed in 1-2 days. I got an email with tracking info on October 27th, but the tracking still hasn't updated. It's pretty clear that my package never left their warehouse. I reached out to customer service to see what was going on, since it had been nine days since I placed my order and it still hadn't shipped. The rep emailed me back quickly and told me that it takes 5-7 days to ship with standard shipping. She didn't acknowledge that it had been ten days since I placed my order, which made me think that she didn't even look it up. I told her that it had been ten days and that we were past their promised time. I just needed the dress for this weekend, so I asked her to cancel it so that my money wouldn't be tied up. She told me that I couldn't cancel because it had already shipped. But there's been no movement on the USPS website for three days, so I asked her to cancel it again. We went back and forth like this for a while, so I wrote about it on their Facebook page hoping for a resolution. No such luck - they just repeated their shipping times to me (but added two days, so now it's a 7-10 day ship time). I asked to cancel again, since it had now been four days since it shipped and there was still no movement. Again, I was told that I couldn't cancel.
I called customer service and spoke to someone who couldn't help me, so I asked for a supervisor. I spoke to Jeff, who was pretty jolly but didn't seem to care about my problem. I was beyond frustrated at this point - this whole process should never have happened. If there was a delay, they should have notified me. Jeff told me that he couldn't cancel my order and give me my money back because he couldn't file a claim with USPS yet. I asked him why that was my problem, and told him to figure it out on his end and send me a new dress. He said they couldn't do that, but I could purchase another one. He explained that they ship over 15,000 packages a day and it was the customer's responsibility to track it, since they don't have enough employees to monitor each order. We went back and forth like this for a while, until he finally "expedited my cancellation request" so that I could be refunded. Thanks for your help, Jeff. Oh, and thanks for trying to cut me off and explain that USPS takes days to scan packages. That's BS - a federal entity like USPS surely covers their bases when picking up goods. Try again.
Well, now you have 14,999 customers (and possibly less if people keep having experiences like mine). When you're in sales, you should never pass the buck onto the customer when something goes wrong on your end. You should offer alternatives if there are any issues, and most importantly, you should communicate with your customers if there are delays with their orders so that you can accommodate them or they can take their business elsewhere. Why am I teaching your reps basic sales and customer service skills? What a mess. Buyers beware.
BHLDN Houston: Great In-Store Experience, Terrible Customer Service
I gotta say, I never thought I'd be writing a review for anything, but my experience at BHLDN has left me feeling like I need to share my story. So, I made the trek from Austin to Houston with my sisters to find The Dress. The in-store experience was great, and I found my dream dress on double sale! Talk about a score. My fiancé wanted to pay for the dress, so we did an in-store phone transaction with the woman checking me out. All seemed well when I left, and I even got an order confirmation and a note card congratulating me on finding "the one."
But then, weeks went by and still no dress. I knew it was back-ordered, so I was expecting a bit of a wait. But after a month, I decided to call BHLDN Houston to check on my order. That's when I found out that my order had been CANCELED! Why, you ask? Well, apparently, they canceled the order because the name on the order (mine) didn't match the card that was used to pay for it (my fiancé's). Customer service claimed they sent me an email notifying me about the cancellation, but I never got it. I checked every mailbox and found nothing but the ORDER CONFIRMATION from the day I bought the dress. And to make matters worse, no one bothered to call me to let me know what was going on. I was left in the dark, feeling frustrated and disappointed.
The young lady from the Houston store told me I could place another order and that she would honor the sale price I paid (thank goodness), but then she dropped the bombshell: they no longer had my size (size 4)! What?! I was devastated. That was THE DRESS, and now, because of their horrible customer service, I wasn't going to have it. I'd have to start the process all over again. She suggested I get the size 6 and make alterations, but this dress was covered in beads! Alterations on a dress like this would be a challenge. I didn't know what to say to her other than cry that now this was my problem.
I called my sister, who happens to be a district manager for a high-end retail company, and told her what was going on. She got on the phone with BHLDN customer service and gave them a piece of her mind. She told them how she makes things right for her customers every day and that they needed to do the same or she'd blast them on social media. After the conversation, they offered us the dress for little to nothing in a size 6. I received the dress and will need to make adjustments to make it perfect, but it should work. If not, I'll just resell it myself.
At the end of the day, it's just a dress, but I couldn't believe how they tried to make this my problem and have me pay for another dress that wasn't even my size. These people deal with brides every day! I can't believe they don't go above and beyond to accommodate their customers and give brides one less thing to stress about. The price I ended up getting the dress for makes up for it sort of. Now, I have wiggle room to get it expensively altered to fit just perfectly.
Appalling Customer Service: My Experience with BHLDN
I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience with BHLDN. I ordered a bridesmaid dress in store back in October 2022, but didn't receive it until the end of November because it was backordered. When I finally took the dress to get altered last week (February 2023), I realized that BHLDN had sent me the wrong style and size. So, I called customer service to try and fix the problem.
At first, the customer service rep was helpful and asked if they had the correct dress in stock. I told her I needed it overnighted, and she put me on hold for 10 minutes to check stock. While I was on hold, she placed an order for a dress without confirming any information with me. When she came back on the phone, I told her I had moved and needed to change the address. That's when her attitude changed and she got upset with me, asking why I hadn't told her earlier. I explained that she had left me on hold to check stock, and she said I had mentioned overnighting a dress. She then told me the only thing that could be done was to cancel the exchange and for me to order a new dress. She even tried to collect payment for the dress and said a new dress wouldn't be sent until I paid or sent back the incorrect item. But that's illegal, according to the FTC.
So, I tried to work with a different customer service rep who said they would issue me an E-gift card to order a new dress. He said I would have it in my email within the hour, but I waited 14 hours and still received nothing. I called back the next day and was told the E-gift card was processing and should be in my email within 2 hours. I waited another 8 hours with no luck. I called again on Friday afternoon and was told the second rep had issued a classic, plastic gift card to my old, incorrect address instead of an E-gift card. They said I would receive the correct E-gift card within 24 hours, but when I called back on Saturday, I was told their gift card person wasn't in the office on weekends and I would receive it by lunch on Monday.
I decided to call the original BHLDN store where I purchased the dress, and the women working there were appalled with the outcome so far. They told me to come into the store, and they would try to return the dress onto a card for me to help me purchase the correct dress. But that proved to be impossible in store because the dress was already noted as "returned to a gift card," even though I had no gift card. The manager of my local BHLDN called customer service herself and was told twice there was nothing to be done, and then was hung up on by customer service.
In the end, I had to purchase a new dress (which cost me over $400 in total) and wait to hopefully be reimbursed once I received the gift card. It wasn't until I elevated the issue to their home office that I finally received the gift card, five days after it was originally promised. Honestly, it was the most appalling customer service I have ever experienced. The women working in the physical store were great, but the people who run the customer service and gift card over the phone were rude, dismissive, unhelpful, and ultimately unkind. I would definitely recommend avoiding this brand and their customer service if you can.

BHLDN Review: Terrible Customer Service and Return Policy
My experience with BHLDN was absolutely terrible. I was a bridesmaid for a BHLDN bride and I will never use them myself. I have talked others out of using them due to their terrible customer service. I was told to order two sizes of a dress because the measurements online didn't seem right and the dress was running big for some people. So, I ordered two versions and was told I could return whichever didn't fit within 30 days. Well, the dresses turned out to be on backorder and came several weeks apart. I ended up liking the second dress better but they wouldn't let me return the first dress since it fell out of the 30 day window. They said I could have store credit. I do not need store credit, obviously! I sent 6 or 7 emails, none were returned. I called and asked to speak to a supervisor and I was told I couldn't speak to a supervisor until they got my dress back! Hell no, I'm not sending you a dress that you are only giving me store credit for! I'd rather sell it for whatever pennies I can get since I will never ever shop with BHLDN again! Insanely disappointed. Customer service could not be worse. Beware!
I was really excited to order from BHLDN, but my experience was a total disaster. I ordered two dresses for a wedding I was going to be a bridesmaid in. The website said that the dresses ran big, so I ordered two sizes just to be safe. When the dresses finally arrived, they were on backorder and came weeks apart. I ended up liking the second dress better, but when I tried to return the first dress, I was told that I couldn't because it was outside of the 30-day return window. I was so frustrated! I sent several emails to customer service, but never got a response. When I called, I was told that I couldn't speak to a supervisor until they received the dress back. That was ridiculous! I didn't want store credit, I wanted my money back. I will never shop at BHLDN again and I've told all of my friends to avoid them too. Their customer service is terrible and they don't care about their customers.
Terrible Customer Service and Bullying Tactics: My Experience with BHLDN, Anthropologie, and Free People
I gotta say, I had a pretty bad experience with BHLDN. Three years ago, I ordered a couple of dresses for my daughter's wedding and it was a total disaster. The dresses cost me around $800 and when I returned them, it took a whopping TWELVE weeks to get my refund. I mean, come on, that's just ridiculous! I tried emailing them multiple times and even had proof that they received the dresses back, but they just kept saying they were "backed up" and couldn't process the refund. It was a real headache.
To make matters worse, when I wrote a bad review on their website, they sent me an email threatening to ban me from purchasing anything on their site if I didn't take it down. Like, seriously? That's not how you treat customers. I obviously didn't remove the review, but it's just crazy that they would even try to bully me like that.
Anyway, I've tried to order a few things from Anthropologie for my daughter's birthdays since then, but every time my orders get rejected. And just today, I tried to order something from Free People and my order got cancelled because there was a "hold" on my account. It's been THREE YEARS since I wrote that review and they're still holding a grudge? That's just not right.
Honestly, I think this is a terrible way to run a business. Instead of trying to fix their mistakes and make things right with their customers, they just try to bully them into not posting bad reviews. It's not fair and it's not right. I wouldn't recommend ordering from BHLDN, Anthropologie, or Free People online. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.
BHLDN's Poor Service and Lack of Transparency
I recently purchased a dress from BHLDN's website that was on sale for $220. Unfortunately, when I tried it on, it didn't fit quite right, so I decided to return it. However, I was surprised to find out that in order to get my money back, I had to wait 2-3 weeks. When I finally received the credit, I noticed that BHLDN had deducted $75 from my refund, and the only explanation given was "Smart Label Fee."
Naturally, I was confused and frustrated, so I decided to reach out to customer service for an explanation. They told me that the dress wasn't returned in its original condition, but they couldn't provide any specifics about what was wrong with it. I had to wait another 48 hours for BHLDN to email me back, and they finally told me that the dress needed cleaning or repair before it could be restocked.
I called BHLDN to try and get more information, but all they could tell me was that they found a hair on the dress. I was shocked that a single hair could cause so much trouble, especially since I had only had the dress for three days. Unfortunately, BHLDN couldn't provide any proof of the hair, so I was left feeling frustrated and disappointed.
Overall, I was very unhappy with the service I received from BHLDN. Waiting 2-3 weeks for a refund is already a long time, but the fact that they deducted $75 without a clear explanation was very frustrating. It took them almost a week to figure out what was wrong with the dress, and even then, their explanations were vague and unhelpful.
Given my experience, I don't think I'll be shopping at BHLDN again for my wedding or any future weddings I attend. The poor service and lack of transparency just aren't worth the hassle.

Mixed Feelings: A Review of BHLDN's Wedding Dresses and Accessories
So, I gotta say, BHLDN is a bit of a mixed bag. On the one hand, they've got some really cute dresses and accessories for weddings and special occasions. But on the other hand, they can be a bit frustrating to deal with.
One thing to keep in mind is that some of their styles and sizes sell out pretty quickly, and then they're gone for good. So if you're a bridesmaid trying to find a dress that fits your body type and the available options are limited, it can be a bit of a headache. And if you're not comfortable with a particular neckline or cut, you might be out of luck.
Another issue we ran into was with alterations. We were told that a size 14 dress could be altered down to a size 10, but that's not exactly a guarantee. And when you're already spending a couple hundred bucks on a dress, the idea of spending even more on alterations can be a bit daunting.
To make matters worse, the customer service wasn't exactly stellar. We tried ordering something to try on at home, but when we went to return it, they claimed they never received it. Not exactly confidence-inspiring.
All that said, BHLDN does have some really lovely dresses and accessories, and if you're lucky enough to find something that works for you, it can be a great experience. But if you're looking for a stress-free shopping experience, you might want to look elsewhere.
Disappointing Experience with BHLDN: Wrong Item Twice and Long Wait for Correct Item
I was really excited to find the perfect top for my wedding dress on BHLDN's website. They had it in stock in the color and size I needed, so I placed my order right away. However, when the item arrived, I was disappointed to find that it was the wrong color. I had ordered the almond color, but was sent an ivory/nude color instead.
I called BHLDN's customer service to exchange the item, and they were very helpful. They told me that the item was listed as out of stock until May on their website, but they assured me that I would receive the correct color in a week or so. They also told me to hang onto the wrong item until the new one arrived.
After a week went by, I still hadn't received any tracking information for the exchange. I called BHLDN again, and they gave me the wrong exchange number. However, they were able to find my order and told me that it was on the way. I was worried because the website still said that the color and size I needed wasn't shipping until May, but the customer service representative checked with her supervisor and told me that I would receive the right item.
Unfortunately, when the item arrived, it was the wrong color again. I was frustrated and called BHLDN again. This time, the representative told me that I would have to wait until May to receive the correct item. I didn't want to wait four more months, so I asked for a refund instead. The representative was able to process the refund for me, but I'm worried because other reviews have said that it took a long time to receive their refunds.
Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with BHLDN. While their customer service representatives were helpful, I was frustrated that I received the wrong item twice and that I had to wait so long to receive the correct item. I'm now looking elsewhere for my wedding dress.
BHLDN's Poor Customer Service and Back Order Issues: A Warning to Future Brides
I went to BHLDN to find the perfect wedding dress, and I was lucky enough to find it! The lady who helped me was really nice and told me that there were only four dresses of this style left, so I knew I had to order it right away. I placed my order, and I was so excited to receive my dress. However, two days later, I received an email saying that my dress was on back order and wouldn't be shipped out for another month. I was really disappointed because my wedding was coming up soon.
I decided to call customer support to see if there was anything they could do to help me. They told me that the size up in the dress was available to order, so I cancelled my first order and ordered the size up. I was relieved that I would still be able to get my dress in time for my wedding. However, two days later, I received another email saying that the dress was on back order again and wouldn't be shipped out for another month. I was really frustrated at this point because I had already cancelled my first order and ordered the size up.
I decided to wait the whole month for my dress, and when the day came to have it shipped, I called customer service to make sure everything was on track. To my surprise, they told me that the shipping date had been pushed back again without any notification. I was really upset because I had been waiting for so long and they had told me that they had the dress in stock. BHLDN just kept leading me on, and I didn't know what to do.
It has now been 40 days on back order, and customer service just told me that I should probably find a backup dress. I am really disappointed in BHLDN because they didn't keep me informed about the status of my order, and they kept pushing back the shipping date without any explanation. I don't understand why they would do this to their customers. I would advise anyone who is interested in dress shopping to avoid BHLDN.
BHLDN Review: Poor Quality Dress and Unacceptable Return Policy
I recently made a purchase from BHLDN in mid-January and unfortunately had to return the dress on January 31st. The material of the dress was cheap and everything seemed to stick to it, which was not ideal for my wedding day. I made sure to carefully roll the dress to remove any little hairs before returning it. However, to my surprise, I received the dress back on March 8th (6 weeks after I sent it back) with a letter stating that they will not accept the dress due to a few hairs being stuck to it. I was shocked and disappointed as I had taken great care to ensure the dress was in perfect condition before returning it.
To make matters worse, I was unable to return the dress to the store as it had been over 30 days since my purchase. However, BHLDN had the dress for 6 weeks and did not mention anything about the hair until I received the dress back. I even called during that time and was told that they received the dress and it was going through the process, which takes 2-3 weeks, not 6 weeks. I was also told that I would receive an email and my refund soon, but that did not happen.
I was planning on ordering a more expensive dress and bridesmaid dresses for my wedding from BHLDN, but after this experience, I will not be ordering anything from them. As a bride, planning a wedding is already stressful enough, and I thought getting the dress would be a fun part of the process. Unfortunately, this was not the case with BHLDN.
On a positive note, I did have a wonderful experience with my stylist Andrea in the Westport store. It's a shame that the company's policies and procedures do not match the level of customer service provided by their employees. I would advise other brides to stay away from BHLDN and look for other options.
BHLDN Review: Poor Customer Service and Communication, Dress Never Arrived
So, I gotta say, my experience at BHLDN was not great. The customer service was kinda meh, like they were in a hurry to get me out of there. But I found the dress I wanted and ordered it in the store, thinking it would be a piece of cake. But nope, I waited for two whole months and the dress never showed up! They said it was on back order, but when I called to check, they said it would ship in a day or two. But it didn't. So I called again and they said the dress was damaged and they couldn't sell it to me. They offered me a discount on something else, but when I looked online, my first choice dress was magically in stock. I called again and got a different person who said they would overnight ship it to me. I gave them my credit card again and placed the order again. And you guessed it, it never came. I was freaking out, but luckily I found a beautiful dress at a local shop in Seattle that was on sale and I could take it home that day. I called BHLDN to cancel the order, which hadn't even shipped yet, so that was no biggie. But seriously, the whole experience was a hot mess. Their communication in store and on the phone was not what you want when you're shopping for a wedding dress.
BHLDN Wedding Party Dress Review: A Nightmare Experience with Backorders and Cancellations
Listen up, folks! I gotta tell you about my experience with BHLDN and their wedding party dresses. Let me tell you, it was a real doozy. So, I'm one of four bridesmaids and we all ordered our dresses a whopping 6 months ago. But, let me tell you, it was not smooth sailing from there.
Three out of the four of us had some real issues with getting our dresses. One of us got a dress with some real shoddy stitching, and two of us (including yours truly) kept getting notifications that our dresses were on backorder. I mean, come on, BHLDN, get it together!
So, finally, my first backorder date rolls around and I call up customer service to see what's going on. And what do they tell me? That my dress is on backorder again! I mean, seriously? So, I wait a couple more weeks for the second backorder date to arrive, and what do they tell me this time? That the dress is completely out of stock! Can you believe it?
Now, I'm a bridesmaid, so I can't just show up in any old thing. I gotta match the others, you know? So, I ask if there's anything they can do to get me the dress I ordered. And what do they say? That they can arrange it. So, I wait a couple more weeks, and what do I get? A cancellation notice! I mean, come on, BHLDN, this is getting ridiculous!
So, I call up customer service again, and they tell me the dress is on backorder AGAIN. I mean, are you kidding me? This time, I ask to speak to a supervisor, and let me tell you, it was like pulling teeth to get any real answers out of them. The whole time, they kept telling me it was on backorder, but I know how these sites work. Cancellation notices don't just get sent out for no reason! Finally, they admit that the dress is completely out of stock, and I have no choice but to pick another one.
But here's the kicker, folks. The wedding is at the end of this year, and all of their dresses are on backorder! I mean, can you believe it? So, let me give you a word of advice. If you're thinking about ordering from BHLDN for your wedding party, don't do it! Save yourself and your bridesmaids the headache and go somewhere else. And if you're really set on their designs, try Poshmark. Trust me, this was a rough experience, and not one I would ever choose to go through again.
BHLDN Review: Poor Sizing, Design, and Customer Service - Better Options Out There
I gotta say, my experience with BHLDN was not great. I ordered a dress online, following the guidelines they provided, but when it arrived, it was a total disaster. The design was poor and the measurements were completely off. To make matters worse, I had to pay $166 in import fees and then pay to ship it back. It was a total bummer, especially since I was planning and paying for my wedding.
I decided to give them another chance and went to an in-store fitting. The girl who did my fitting was young and didn't seem as experienced as some of the other ladies. She told me that BHLDN's sizes are closest to street size, but then placed me in the size 14-16 range. That seemed off to me since I typically wear 4-6 pants and 8 in dresses. I'm not trying to be sizist, but it just didn't make sense. She also didn't seem to know how to pin or clip properly for alterations. Needless to say, I didn't find my dress there.
Instead, I went to a smaller, local boutique shop that had an amazing array of quality and eco-conscious dresses. The ladies there were amazing and I ended up finding a dress that I absolutely love. It was a size 8 with room for alterations, and yeah, it cost more, but it was worth it.
Overall, BHLDN needs to improve their staff training and experience, provide more accurate sizing descriptions online, and have a better return policy with free shipping like most reputable online retailers. Their customer service also needs improvement, and they should return funds to customer payment accounts in a more timely manner.
Customer service
I wanted to ask a simple question and had a terrible time with BHLDN. First of all I went to their website and found a phone number and when I called they did not pick up. After about 5 calls someone finally answered and I was out on hold and then disconnected.
Then they said that I need to send them a message via email and they will reply as soon as possible. It took me over 10 messages to get a response in which they said that I can contact them via phone. Are you joking or what? These people are the worst ever!
