Small Business Rejection
Shopzilla recently informed our company (which adverstised on their site) that our products were not a good fit with the Shozilla Merchant program. Keep in mind that Amazon, which lists categorically similar items, are allowed to continue advertising with no problem. How fair is it that they can call they website a shopping comparison site when they refusing adversing for small businesses?
Shopzilla, you should be ashamed of yourself.

Internet survey scam
I was ripped off by a company called TeaCuppa who refused to refund a broken porcelain cup they sent me, so I wanted to write a bad review on Bizrate which is hyperlinked on their website. I was unable to so I contacted Bizrate/Shopzilla. Shopzilla/Bizrate informed me they were redoing their online survey forms. They said that they would email me a two-part survey that I could fill out and send to them, and my unfavorable review on TeaCuppa would appear on Bizrate reviews attached to the Teacuppa website. After filling out the first half of the Bizrate/Shopzilla online survey that they emailed. I was FORCED TO BUY MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS THAT I WAS NOT IN ANY WAY INTERESTED IN BUYING! There was no way for me complete the first half of the survey without BUYING THESE USELESS MAGAZINES. I ended up not submitting the survey, but I want the public to be aware of the obvious scams and dishonesty that companies such a TeaCuppa, Bizrate.com and Shopzilla represent. They are ripping off customers when they can get away with it.
I a receiving a load of crap commercials from you and your associates and I cannot eliminate them from my system using the "unsubscribe " box. How do get rid of your garbage?

Both bizrate and shopzilla are nothing but scam companies, they sell your info and then you wonder where all the ###ing junkmail is coming from. I emailed them one time and it all stopped. Two weeks later it started again, and now when I email them they don't respond.
It appears that there has been a misunderstanding about the survey process. The magazine offer would not have appeared until after this customer hit the "submit" button on the first part of the survey. The magazines are an optional "Thank You" for taking the survey. Customers can refuse it by closing the offer window at any time.
Many customers enjoy this offer. It allows them to receive the magazines they love, complements of bizrate with an additional one-time processing fee of $2 each. It is also risk-free in that they may cancel anytime within 1 year for a refund by calling [protected].
We sincerely apologize for any confusion regarding this issue. If there are any questions, please refer them to help@bizrate.com. We will be happy to assist.
Overcharged for magazines
I was suppose to get 4 free magazines( for filling out a survey for shopping at Inksmile.com) for S&H of 2.00 each, but my credit card was charged 43.oo, 57.00, 22.00, & 26.00. Juanita Fuller ([protected]@aol.com)

did the same to me recently-December 24 and 27th 2011. My bank account overdrawn $134.15 due to the Bizrate/Synapse scam. they are in it togehter. The Attorney General needs to get involved. See my story at ataleofcaution.
Dear Juanita,
Thank you for your response. We're sorry to hear that you are having problems with the magazine offer. Bizrate provides the magazines in tandem with our partner, Synapse Connect. It is an optional "Thank You" for taking a survey about an online merchant.
Synapse is always happy to help with any issues that may arise. They can be reached on their dedicated bizrate hot-line at [protected].

False Representation
Bizrate baited me by saying I would get $100.00 if I filled out their survey. After I filled out this survey, I was switched to an offer to subscribe to four magazines "for free." But they weren't free. They were $2.00 each. And THEY WERE AUTOMATICALLY RENEWING, (at much higher prices.) I know from past experience that it is almost impossible to get thi...

The company TWX 36 WWJK operating on behalf(according to them)BizRate-Took it upon themselves to order 4 magazines for me. Go into my bankaccount. Takeout funds to cover same. Then tell me it would 72 hours to refund these funds. I told a supervisor Ashley Brown to cancel 2 magazines that they were getting ready to charge me for. At no time did they say that the items were ordered by me. Only that this was something offered. I consider this stealing. The phone number for TWX is [protected] be prepared to go thru a machine. Just keep hitting the O button to get a person. Iam livid about the highhanded manner in which these crooks acted.

Hi Good Day, Jewbaka I am Jerome of Pin Point Price found at www.pinpointprice.com we are also a comparison shopping engine that advertise a variety of product in over 1200 categories, however some produce may be considered as harsh, adult oriented, weapons, counterfeit and the list goes on. However most of your products if not all will go through a number of checks to see that the product is fit to be listed on their site and these tests are not limited to the previously stated. unlike Amazon sites like Shopzilla and Pinpointprice.com work with other affiliate sites where hey list your products which often times have strict policies on what products can be advertised in their network and if these requirements are not met then there can be some serious repercussions. So please don't blame shopzilla for disapproving your product listing ads.
If you would like you could submit your product feed at Pin Point Price, and see how much of your products get approved. We only send you qualified traffic and we have great customer service. Please take a look at our frequently asked questions & our merchant program.
