Bizrate baited me by saying I would get $100.00 if I filled out their survey. After I filled out this survey, I was switched to an offer to subscribe to four magazines "for free." But they weren't free. They were $2.00 each. And THEY WERE AUTOMATICALLY RENEWING, (at much higher prices.) I know from past experience that it is almost impossible to get this type of arrangement cancelled. Bizrate is highly unethical and I will think several times before I buy through them again.

Dear Thoroughly,
We're sorry to hear that you disliked our $100 magazine promotion. This offer was optional and our way of thanking you for taking the time to fill out your bizrate sponsored customer satisfaction survey. The terms of the offer were stated upfront in the introduction before you began your review, and again before you submitted your review. We do not automatically enroll you into a program. If you chose to take the offer, you can cancel your subscriptions at any time during the introductory 1 year period (or any time thereafter) by contacting our partner, Synapse Connect at [protected].
Many survey respondents value this promotion. However, we apologize for any inconvenience.
If you have any further questions, or need assistance with canceling magazines, please feel free to send an email to help@bizrate.com.

bizrate/synapse in collusion for years. have been doing this scam for yearsa. scammed me december 2011. am filing a claim and a criminal conplaint.
I just did a survey as well and was told four free magazines. I have checked several different websites to see if it was legit and it was not. Each magazine they would charge you and all year as well. Ignore bizrate as much as you can. They have many scam that you will not find unless you sit there and read the whole (agree to terms and condition's) page. ADVICE TO ALL... RESEARCH EVERY STORE OR ANYTHING BEFORE YOU ORDER ANYTHING EVEN (WITHOUT) YOU CREDIT CARD BECAUSE THEY CAN SEND YOU A BILL IN THE MAIL! HAPPENS TO A LOT OF PEOPLE.

I am from Melbourne Australia. I took the survey after purchasing from StrawberryNet.com. A window popped up promising a $100 value gift just for taking the survey. It was offered from Bizrate surveys in conjunction with Magazine Outlet. It was only after taking the survey that I realised the magazines promised through Magazine Outlet was only available to U.S residents. I am surprised that quality brands such as Vanity Fair, Harpers Bazaar, Marie Claire and Women's Health ( the four gifts I had chosen), would be involved with something like this. Very dissapointing and no joy for Australians.

I am thorough upset with 'Bizrate'. I cannot search the web because of the pop up from you. I do not do surveys. Stop this from coming to my computer. I did not ask for your services.
Signed,
Thoroughly disturbed
Screw you Bizrate and your illegal scams!
Complain and turn them over to the credit card fraud department. Complain to the magazines. Make them responsible. Nothing is EVER free.
