poor service
BMW dealers pride themselves on their great service. I drove from out of town ... in the snow and my flat tire monitor lit up. Called the dealership and they told me they do not have service for BMWs on Saturdays. Since it was a snowstorm and I was far from home, I asked if I could have my tires checked. They laughed and hung up. Very poor service. I gue...

The driver side window of my vehicle was broken and my portable GPS unit was stolen.
I brought the car to Field's BMW to have the window replaced. The following day I realized what the rattling was inside the door - they had not cleaned out the glass shards inside the door! Every time you shut the driver door on this $40k automobile, the glass shards rattle around.
Absolutely terrible technical work provided by Field's BMW. I was charged almost $600 for replacement of this window (twice as much as other quotes). It also Field's nearly 90 minutes to check in my car, get me in a loaner and get me on my way. Now who knows how long it will take me next week to get this resolved. If it can at all be avoided, I will not go back to Field's and would recommend that you do not either.
customer service
November 2008 - I would like to share with you the terrible experience I had with BMW Waterloo. In April of 2008 we purchased a brand new Mini Coopr S and we are in love with our car. We went to purchase new winter tires to make sure we and our car are safe through the winter. Our experience with BMW - Mini Waterloo was terrible.
We started by requesting a price quote for the tires as well as the specs of the tires for our car so we could price shop a bit. We were told only one kind of tire was recommended for the Mini and we received a quote for 16" tires (our car has 17"). The price was high so we decided we would shop around. The service person also did not include all the details we asked for. When we pointed out we have a Mini Cooper S with 17" he had to go back and get a new quote. Two WEEKS later he got back to us with a new quote, obviously even higher for the bigger tire, and still did not include all the information we had repeated asked for.
A few weeks later we received an email from a very ambitious sales person about winter tires. This email was about a different brand of tire (so all of a sudden we can use a different brand?) that was on 'sale'. No sales or anything were mentioned in our orginal conversations. So at this point we have received incomplete, inaccurate, and overpriced information.
Our experience got worse; who would have thought it could have! When we attempted to book the appointment to have the tires put on the booking agent was ignorant to our needs (warm transfer anyone?) and rude to us. By this point I had had it and asked to speak with the service manager. I was not allowed to speak with the service manager! I was not even told (s)he was busy and would contact me back - nothing! I told them we would not be going ahead with the winter tires, but they have still charged my credit card!
We will not be dealing with a car dealership that does not know its own product, customers, or how to deal with customers. We would recommend you avoid this dealership as well. It is too bad, the Mini is a great car.
I agree, BMW Waterloo is a horrible place. I recently purchased a vehicle there and the salesman was arrogant, rude and pushy. I told him I wanted to wait on to make a decision on purchasing the vehicle and he held the keys to my car that I currently had and told me he would not let me go until I did the deal.
Could not believe it, I hope they go out of business.
You should run a smaller diameter wheel with a more narrow, higher profile tire in the winter - so 16-inch wheels and tires would be the right choice.
poor professionalism
So after 3 weeks of being without my car, I got a call this morning that my car was finally ready. Naturally I was very excited. First I went to return the rental. This took me an hour.
I made my way to BMW, to find that they are charging me another 534 for a part they "forgot" to bill my insurance, but they will fax them and my insurance will send me a check without a doubt. I also noticed two dents in my car that were supposed to be repaired, but were only partially fixed. They were still there, but not as bad. I would like you guys to know that I am not just another dumb female consumer. This is how the situation proceeded to go down:
Naturally, I called my adjuster with concern to both of these issues. First he told me, that he told the people in the auto body that he will not pay for anything unless they he comes and look at the car. Knowing this, they falsely told me he would pay the 534, but in reality I would find out that I am stuck paying it when my insurance refuses to reimburse me. I felt that they owed me a loner car. I returned the rental, and they told me car was done. It had dents in it, and they did not comply with what my adjuster had told them. The managers response was this:
"It's not my fault you spent an hour returning your rental, and I don't owe you a loner car because you were not going to take your car anyway because you don't want to pay the 534."
Ok, so this is what I have to say. Yes it is your fault I spent an hour returning my car today, because I wouldn't have returned it today and wasted my morning when I had other things to do. Yes you do owe me a loner car because you anticipated that I would be so excited to get my car back I would over look the dents you left in it. By not examining my car, or simply by accepting them. Yes you owe me a loner car because you knew that my insurance would not pay me the 534 without looking at my car first, and flat out lied to me.
The degree of professionalism in that place was a disgrace. Not only should he have provided me with a loner car, but he had the nerve to say he will never take Geico cars again right in front of me. He cried over the 534 stating that my adjuster has photos and should pay. Does it puzzle you that through all of this he seemed to completely look over the fact that he was going to charge me 6500 dollars for a car that still had dents in it? All he cared about was the 534 and he was not giving me a loner car because of it. Given the price I paid for my car new, I would expect better service as a BMW owner, and a as a potential buyer another new BMW somewhere down the line.
I am sorry, but I do not find it unreasonable that an insurance company wouldn't want to lay out money without seeing what they charged for first. We all know how honest auto bodies are. I think they were completely justified in their request.
Needless to say, I went back to get another rental car that I am supposed to pay tax on even though I was promised back my car in 15 work days. BMW of Greenwich is a shady establishment, with bad professionalism that does a half ### job on auto repairs. They lie to you about reimbursement promises, and want to send you home in a car that is still damaged. I will never go there again.

On 2/20/12 I went to BMW to have my car service due to a leak. When I first encountered the service representative, Frank Worrell I informed him that I had a service warranty. He states that would not be a problem. After diagnosis of the problem, Mr Worrell states he would have to contact the warranty company for approval. Mr Worrell returned a short time later to inform the warranty company is not making payment due to the leak is a seal. When I received by invoice for the repairs a water pump was changed. The indication of a water pump was not relied to the warranty company and this is why I was not able to recover the amount of money for the water pump that is covered under the warranty. After several days of going back and forth with Mr Worrell and getting no where, I completed a BMW survey and resulted with a call back from Mr Spence. Mr. Spence DID NOTHING. He states there was a request to have the water pump replaced and this was the cause of the leak. THAT IS NOT WHAT OCCURRED and this is why the warranty company continue to deny the payment of the water pump.
So meanwhile, I am out of $1370.00 which could have been covered by the warranty company IF BMW representive would have informed the warranty company the correct diagnosis of the problem instead of attempting to shift the blame.
terrible everything
We took the car in because it the alarm system needed to be reset and the car would not start. They said that the electrical needed rewiring because rodents had eaten the wires? Strange i have no rodents in the garage plus they installed some computer part the bill was $1400.00. Took the car home and it overheated it had no coolant. We took it to a test only for a smog check and the computer is not communicating. i called several times for a copy of the bill and they did not send it. I left several messages for the consultant and the service manager and nobody called back. I took my car to my BMW trusted mechanic and said that the electrical wiring has a problem. I am afraid to bring the car back to these people. Do not bring your vehicle to Center BMW Van Nuys.

I write to acknowledge the receipt of your latest mail to this organization.I wish to inform you that your legal representative, attorney Godfrey N. Jack of Zenith chambers, will procure all the necessary court affidavits, that would enable him endorse by proxy, on your behalf, all documents of the Bavaria Motor Works (BMW) International Promo, that would enable the immediate release and telegraphic wire transfer of your won star prize of 1, 000, 000.00 million British Pounds sterling into your nominated bank account in your country, and the release of your 2008 model of BMW 5 series.
The only person who have won the BMW Automobile promo in United State Of Americe is Paul David Wellstone the former United States Senator from Minnesota in the year 2000.You are the second winner since the year 2000.Although Paul David Wellstone is late now as he died in a plane crash on 25 October 2002 at the age of 58. I am given you this link where you can read about him and how he won the bmw automobile promo in the year 2000. bad service
This is just another incident that convinced me to sell my BMW, change the F1 team i support and vow to tell every person I know about the pathetic service i have received from BMW in South Africa.
In short, I purchased my car from a dealer in July 2006, submitted all applications for the car to e transferred into my name including the Motor Plan. The car has since been for a service and to replace brake pads (two separate occasions). This morning the car was booked in (still covered under motor plan) for a few niggly issues to be fixed. The service person i dealt with at Auric Auto in Claremont named Colin, could just as well have stayed at home as I think he would have been more productive there. All of a sudden my Motor Plan is not in my name (how is this possible) and no effort was made to try and rectify the problem. I was told by Colin (because why should he be the one following up) to call Auto Atlantic in Cape Town to ask why they serviced my car, and changed the brake pads, as he could not see why they would do that. I managed to do his job, and call them, only to be referred back to Auric Auto to ask them the same questions. When I called Auric Auto, after being placed on hold for 7 minutes, I was then cut off. Called again, repeated the whole process, a lady answered saying "hello" (what happened to may I help you) after I asked to speak to Colin was told "just hold on" (what happened to "no problem, please hold the line) and then she proceeded by cutting me off again! 3rd call (now I have spent at least 37 minutes trying to get answers from BMW, I went through the same procedure, with the same answers with the same people, still not being able to speak to Colin (as i would assume now it was his tea time and I have spent my whole morning trying to get hold of him to he deserved a tea break) I demanded to speak to a manager...and would you believe it, was not available!
So, I duly lost my cool and collected my car, without BMW asking ANY questions or, if they can assist me to resolve the mess... How is that for service! Needless to say, I am still waiting for a reply from someone that is willing to help me.
Tik, Tok, Tik, Tok...
I had really bad service experience in McKenna BMW. And when I complaint to the sells manager, he said "Go ahead post more bad reviews in yelp because we don't care. And let your friends help you to post more real bad review. And make sure you spell right." Then I asked his name and said I will do it. He told me his name is "Dallas". But I checked their website when i got home. I found his real name is Stu Green... What an pussy...
Do your self a favour and deal with SMG and ask for Michele Phypher - what a star

I'm also done with BMW due to the terrible useless service of Auric Auto. I nor any of my family members will ever buy a BMW again. They have great engines, but are badly built cars and heavens forbid you have any problems with your electronics. Auric Auto is useless.

I'm unhappy too, and thinking of selling my Mini because of the bad service.
What is a good replacement, though?
It seems a pity to have to get rid of a good car just because of pad service at the repair garage.
defective door handle
As a (formerly) devout bmw lover, i have always had an appreciation for these seemingly high-quality cars. Not anymore. In the summer of 2007, the drivers' side door handle to my X5 broke off. In December, I took it to the dealership to be repaired and, since then, have been in a battle with BMW over whose responsibility it is to incur the damages. The leased car was still under warranty and I was even told by an on-site mechanic that it would be covered under warranty. First, i was told that the reason they were not going to take responsibility for the defect was because the door handle was frozen and had broken off. first of all, this had happened in the summer. secondly, even if it was frozen, shouldn't any car manufacturer employ standards on their vehicles that they sell, not only in Toronto, but in colder climates like Montreal to handle issues such as freezing?
After that was refuted, the next reason was because the handle had been subject to vandalism, yet, neither the car door nor the handle had any visible scratches or indication whatsoever of vandalism.
i took the handle (which remained in my possession), to a third-party engineer, who wrote up a letter to explain his findings ([sic]"poor design and cheap and shoddy material selection, which, together caused fatigue stress that culminated in fracture failure", and [sic]"defiance of basic logic and engineering principles in the design of the door handle"), and sent it to BMW. BMW is refusing to co-operate and, after going as high up in the company as I could, I was shifted to customer service that claims that they are able, through careful consideration of a two-dimensional photograph by their warranty department, to determine the cause of the defect as being that the handle was forced.
Their responses are always by telephone and despite my emails, they have never written back to me. I have already paid for the service and was hoping that BMW would employ basic public relations techniques and enhance their customer service reputation by recognizing the issue and taking responsibility.
This issue is ongoing...
Parts overcharging
BMW of Fremont is over charging on there parts compared to any other BMW Dealership in Bay Area. Example will be a Quart of oil any other BMW in 40 mile radius will cost you $6.00 a quart, Fremont BMW will cost you $9.00 a quart also there own auto group in BMW of Mountainview Ca. which is just 15 mile away will just cost you $6.00 a quart, so is this a...

business complaint
I was contacted via e- mail. As a group from
BMW & SINO Car Company notified me of winning this car. This party had the nerve to contact me ask.
Require me to go to Western Union to conduct money fee's as though I am a home base business employee. It is an insult that I can’t view my computer and elect to my own affairs without parties like this making contact. I reported this matter to the authorities, and to this date nothing has Bern done to stop this person from aggravating me, and causing harm to my creditability. As no party after I reported this party believe that I am angry enough to press charges for this person arrest.

do not want the credit card!
My name is Jesse Trumpore and I received this card in the mail saying that my balance is $250.00 when I didn't even activate the card. I found out that I had to pay the $250.00 so I did not activate it. I am trying to call the Customer Service Line and they keep disconnecting me, there is nothing that says to speak to a rep. I want this card taken off my credit and I want the card canceled. I would appreciate it if someone would email me and let me know what is going on. This is not fair and its ridiculous that I have to pay $250.00 before i get a $300.00 credit limit. I do not want the card.
Thank you,
Jesse Trumpore.

oil level problem within new 07 1 series bmw
I bought an 07 plate 116i SE BMW Reg No: SB07 MFJ in April 07 and with only 3000 miles on the clock the oil warning light came on. On checking the on board computer system the oil was at minimum and upon reading me manual I discovered I had to take my vehicle to he dealership immediately. I was told at the Harry Fairbain dealership in Glasgow southside that all cars need topped up between services I find this alarming as I have just traded in a two and a half year old BMW 1 series which did not require the oil to be topped up and was always showing the maximum level. I would be grateful if this could be looked into and someone could please respond to me ASAP incase there is a fault with this vehicle.
My telephone number is [protected] - Mrs L Roarty.
I am getting ready to take my 06 BMW325I in to the shop. I have twenty five thousands mile and this is the second time the Engine oil light has come on. THe first time they told me it just need capping off. I was able to get7500 miles between the problem, but no car should drain itself of oil at twenty five thousand mile.

potential life threat
I have a 2002 BMW 330i convertible. Yesterday (7/20/2007) I was driving on an expressway in Baltimore, Md when my car stalled. The highway was extremely busy and my husband and I are lucky we did not get killed. There were several lights (error lights) lit up, eml, check engine soon, brakes and one more like a triangle. I called the nearest BMW dealer and was told to bring the car or tow the car to them. After I shut off the ignition and restarted the car, I could drive about 25 mph to the dealer.
After putting the car on a computer they told me it was a problem involving the wiring harness and the throttle body and it would cost $ 1700.00 to repair. After having many cars in my life time, I questioned why I had never heard of this repair before and why was it so expensive. My car was out of warranty last year. I left the car, got a loaner from the BMW dealer and went home. I got on the internet and found so many people had the same problem with their BMW that I called BMW directly. They did not assume the responsibility, but said they would talk to the dealer and get back to us. In 8 minutes I got a call from the dealer saying that BMW would be paying the $ 1000.00 for the parts, but we would still have to pay for the labor ($ 700.00) and now we could not have a "loaner car". You may say, this is a good thing, but from the TBS (technical bulletin) that BMW had given their dealer in 2003, they should have paid for the entire problem, not just the parts. Why was this not a recall? Why wasn't I notified there was a potential problem? Do a certain amount of people have to die from something like this before there is a recall?
I am incensed at this whole deception. What else is wrong with my car that I do not know about? Does anyone have a suggestion relative to this problem?
Thank you for letting me vent my anger!
very poor service!
Today was the last day of my lease. I called Chase Financial several months prior to find out exactly what I needed to do with the car to prepare it for lease-end. I was informed that any BMW dealership could handle the lease return, so rather than choose the dealership I bought the car (~160 miles roundtrip), I chose the closest one, which was Escondido BMW, which was still 84 miles roundtrip.
My two small children were with me, and when I arrived on the lot, I pleasantly stated I was here to return the car--that the lease was up today, and that Chase Financial instructed me to bring the car into the dealership, fill out some paperwork, and that they (Chase Financial) would then pick the car up from BMW.
The sales managers I spoke with (Michael McCabe and Mike Lewis) immediately became defensive in tone and said that I couldn't bring the car to their dealership, and that I had to go to the one in Irvine, where I bought the car. Things escalated and it got to the point where I felt threatened, and I started to fear for my children's safety, because these two individuals were saying things like "you don't deserve to own a BMW", and literally THREW their business cards at me when I told them I was going to complain to BMW of North America for their lack of customer service. They then proceeded to lock me and my children on their lot, behind a gate. It was at that time my children began to cry. I was starting to panic, wondering what was going to happen to me and my children. Luckily, my brother was coming to pick us up, and he had arrived just in time. I am scared to think what might have happened. They finally unlocked the gate and let my children and me out, and then threatened to call the police for leaving the car (I was returning) on the lot, since it was private property.
I just do not know what to do about this whole situation. Please someone help me. My husband and I do not know where to turn.
I went to look at a BMW 335XI, I asked about any known issues and they mentioned there is a noisy pulley they would fix and a few scratches they would buff out. They let me take it for a test drive during the course of the test drive the engine lost power and the warning light came on, fortunately i did not take it on the highway and in a few moments the power came back and the warning light disappeared. I drove straight back and they mentioned the error light should have stayed on and its nothing to worry about?!
In good fait I agreed to a credit application trusting they would resolve both the noisy pulley and check the computer for this error and put this right.
The credit was processed and terms acceptable, i went back and noticed the pulley sound was still there but quieter (I guess they just greased it instead of replacing it), the scratches were still there, they were very insistent on purchasing a warranty. They also mentioned their mechanic found nothing on the error i described and yet a google search on this error describes a manfunctioning fuel pump for which there is a BMW recall. I walked away from this vehicle and would not purchase from Autozone.
I also asked who performs thier Certified Pre-Owned status and who performs this - thier reply is it is an ex BMW mechanic who is employed by them. How can this be a neutral and fair Certified Pre-Owned status. This should be by an independent BMW or other mechanic with no association to the seller whatsoever.
They also said if the warranty company fail to meet the claim they would take care of it, when i asked if they would put it in writing, they replied no.
They sell dangerous vehicles, they are extremely dishonest, when purchasing something where your safety is at risk i would be more cautious against all dealers from now on, even if they are convincing as Peter (Iranian guy) on the first meeting.
My advice to anyone is:
1) Go for a test drive
2) Have an independent check performed on the vehicle after a test drive so error codes that occur during the test drive are not erased
3) Make sure that the seller agrees to fix everything found as a part of the advertised /agreed purchase price
4) Wait for repairs to be completed with proof
5) Only then apply for credit as each application hurts your rating
6) Buy a diagnostic scanner like CarMD
I'm sure they have sold good vehicles but the way they attempted to defraud me when they realised they had a lemon i will be using some common sense before purchasing a vehicle.
PS
I bought a brand new 2017 bmw 330i in january 2017 and have had nothing but problems with it—and none of these are covered by the extended warranty I purchased. My problems began within 4 months, with the "run-flat" tires—which I later found out last an average of only 30, 000 miles. Unfortunately for me, my tires have never made it that far—after 5000 miles I had my car in three times within a 2 week period and had to replace them twice, at a cost of $700 per trip. I have replaced these tires a minimum of five times in five years (And my car only has 56, 000 miles on it). Then there was the electrical system, which caused the battery to go dead when I was on winter vacations lasting more than one week. The most recent experience—today—is with the door locks which have had a fuse short out. Again, not covered by the extended warranty, and i'm out $775 once I get back in to pick up my car. To bmw: I loved my first one, and feel completely ripped off on this second one. There won't be a third.
Sir,
To bring your kind attention towards my worst experience with one of your so called authorised dealer deutsche motoren pvt ltd (moti nagar)
As in nov 2017 I had planned to buy a bmw 530d so when contacted your dealer deutsche motoren pvt ltd their rep. arnob bose committed me a discount on the car and as the color chose by me was not available with them at that point of time they promised me to arrange the car till jan 2017, took a cheque for the booking amount and made a booking for the 525d and insisted that I should rather buy as he wants to acheive his sales target of the month for which I refused and he had cancelled that 525 booking which I have never made and then issued me a new 530d booking amount reciept which I insisted on.
Then in jan 2017 I asked the status of my car but didnt got any satisfied reply as they told its not in the prod and will get in march 2017
Since then I visited their showroom in feb and he showed me in their records that booking amount along with the discount was deposited in my name on account of 530d
Which was supposed to be manufactured on 11 march and now when I approached them with all the papers for processing they refused for any commitments being made by them and discount mentioned at the time of booking the car.
From nov I have been waiting for a particular color of car and had booked it and now when the car has to be delivered they have refused for all the comitments just because I m being told that from 1st april bmw will raise the prices and they will sell to somebody else at a higher price this just shows the image of a company I have given cheque on behalf of bmw india not on the name of any sales person arnob bose I m very much surprised with this kind of treatment I m getting from ur dealer as it is just pre sales I m facing this kind of behaviour what will happen after sales.
Nobody can trust the bmw anymore if your dealers are cheating people and collecting booking amount just to increase their sales these are very cheap business startegies coz it truly downgrade the reputation of the company
Even contacted to gm amarjeet regarding this matter but didnt got any satisfactory result as they say they can cancel my booking anytime, just tell me I have been waiting from last 6 months for the car and now at the time of delivery such thing was not expected which was very much dissapointing as there are many other brands in the market but never heard of this kind of a thing happened and to my astonishment I wonder dont these people get the adequate sales or they have started to fool people coz its cheating rather would suggest you should cancel their dealership as they are just downgrading the image and reputation of bmw
I have both the receipts of 525 which was intentionally made by him and was cancelled later on and my 530d along with paper on which he has mentioned the discount in his own handwriting
I have spent over $7000.00 at this dealers service department over the past 3 years on my bmw m5. On my last visit I did a walk around to see if there was any damage to the car. I could see none. Upon returning home. I jacked the car up to change wheels and noticed the front spoiler was damaged. It was not noticeable unless I got down on my knees and looked under the front spoiler. I called "dave hansen" service manager. I now call him mr. Insult. He began to tell me how stupid his customers are when they drive up inclined drive ways and scrape the front of their cars and don't know it. The he walked around my m5 pointing out how my car has a rock chip here and there and how it has 70k miles on it. His last words of insult were. "we are not going to pay for that to be fixed, do you understand " ! What I understand is, my business was 7 grand. My future business is worth nothing to him. The repair was so small the body shop included it in the repaint of the front bumper. They are the only bmw dealership in the state. This is why dave hansen has this take it or leave it attitude.
i bought a car that i believe is a lemon from bmw, it broke too many times and recently here in jacksonville, florida it stalled and i had Brian (service manager) sit in it to see the service engine light is on and the car was shaking not driving more than 20 mph, its a 335i, then i gave the car to him and it was taken in by my b/f just two weeks before and they falsely imput wrong information about what happened because they documented that we didnt want to wait and its not true we wanted the car diagnosed and we were told that the computer was reset but today i was told that nothing has been done because we didnt want to wait, its a lie, he waited for 5 hours. they are not taking accountability and responsibility for this car. they woud not give me a loaner and i didnt feel that they cared about what i had to say. i pay $700 a month for this car and it was very expensive and it has nothing but problems, ive complained about the navigation turning on/off since i bought the car for last two years and i have records and about the char comming out and this is the second time its dying on me. please help. loss of money, i cant go to work, i lost clients, i lost time, i cried today and im paying $700 for a car that i believe is a lemon.
I did my due diligence while negotiating a purchase of an m3 with vob bmw.
Vob agreed to all of my terms and I with theirs.
When I took delivery I noticed three issues I wanted resolved.
1. A gasoline smell in the car.
2. A broken cover in the trunk covering the amp
3. Tool case missing.
I was told all would be honored (I have emails to this affect).
The gasoline smell ended up being a broken gas line, which I had repaired at a local station - it was closer to home than vob and with gas leaking I didn't want to chance driving the car. I was told I would be reimbursed... I have not.
The cover has not been fixed or a new one sent to me as promised.
The tools have not been replaced.
Since taking delivery the car broke down several times and vob would not provide a tow. I was told to get it to the dealership; however I could not keep the car running.
I got a rental, which I paid for, a total of four days. And I got the car to a local import shop.
It turned out to be a damaged/modified air intake tube. This threw off the mass air sensor causing the car to stall.
To date I have not been reimbursed for my expenses and phone calls and emails have not been answered.
I bought a 2017 bmw 328i in 2017. The bmw was certified pre-owned from the dealer w/less than 30, 000 miles on it. This was my first luxury car and I was so excited. Not to long after I bought the car the belt was squealing, I had to make an appointment and get it replaced. Soon after that the car would stall on me when I came to a stop, when I called about getting this fixed I was told that they couldn't get my car in for about a week and they didn't have any loaner vehicles, so I had to share a car w/my son... Soon after this the locks completely stopped working... The only door that would open was the driver side, I have children so everyone had to go in and out the drivers side, until I could get it into the dealer... After this I noticed the car was idling low and sputtering. The air conditioning handles broke off and I could no longer control which way the air blew. By now i'm sick of this cars problems, although I loved how it drove that didn't outweigh having to drive 35-40 min to the dealer were you had to have an appointment. I recently traded it in. I know all cars have problems here and there but it just seemed to be one thing after another.
Very positive.
I really do think alot of bmw dealerships are not taking control of the cars they are selling, i do have an issue where i was suppose to purchase a certified bmw, after having issues with the car i found out the care was not certified. i was also told there was only 1 owner after pulling the car fax the car had 3 different owners. i was told no accidents, the had an accident. The car had a transmission problem which i was told by the service manager the transmission was fine, when actually the transmission had a leak. I am in the process of obtaining a lawyer to get this issue resolved.
hey larrycousin, i have exactly the same clicking annoyinggggggggggggggggggggg sound on my 3 series 2.0 petrol coupe 2017 reg, and also other problems inlcuding shuddering and shaking at 1500rpm, at times engine won't even start. It has only done 40k miles yet BMW won't help at all. mother f****************************
multiple vehicle problems
My BMW X5 has now once again been at Leohaese Centurion for more than a month, with the original problem. This vehicle has spent almost 4 month at the dealership, and I have been totally inconvenienced and unable to perform my work and other duties effectively because of this.
I do not want this vehicle back due to all the problem I have had with it, and as per my original dealings with J. Due Plessis, I would like this vehicle exchanged for a similar one, as he agreed. As per the letter bellow this vehicle is not at all in the same condition I purchased it, including a accident due to bad repairs from your work shop, which could have caused my death.
I am also not at all happy about driving a BMW 118 loan vehicle, which does not allow me to participate in my sport and other activities due to no tow bar and the size of the vehicle, which does affect my work.
extremely bad treatment by bmw dealerships and representatives
Dear Complaints Board, I would like to express my extreme disappointment in the way I have been treated by BMW dealerships and representatives. In 2003 I purchased a BMW Z4 2.5. This car was brand new and had the BMW name. I assumed that this automobile that had a reputation for quality and workmanship would be a reliable piece of transportation...

that glass can be a pain in the ### to vacuum out. sometimes little pieces of glass get caught where you can't see them and loosen after a few days. i'm sure they will gladly remove them. sometimes this helps for me...imagine your a haitian trapped under a building for 6 days. also, your legs and arms are broken and your bleeding to death. your trying to hold on for your kids, but you know that even if someone saves you, there is no hospitals or emt's or pain meds when you get out. then you think dying wouldn't be so bad because even before the earthquake, you just waited in like for weeks to get a job at a linen factory to make $6/week (upper 20% income bracket) and 1 in 20 of your friends have aids and you might too but you can't get tested because you don't have any money. ...but i feel sorry for you too..
