rear coil spring failure
I can't believe that the rear coil springs of the X3 are subject to premature failure. My local mechanic showed me the bottom of a broken spring from a customer with a 2004 X3 with only 83, 000 miles. On a visit to the local BMW dealer, a service rep when asked said something like "sure does happen with BMWs and it's due to the road salt in the northeast"...

We purchased an X5 from United BMW last year. It was a Certified Pre-Owned BMW. When we were talking to the salesman about purchasing the car he told us it had a 100, 000 mile warranty. After 50, 000 we would pay a $50 copay for maintance and repairs but that it covered everything but tires. Knowing how much it cost to repair a BMW we wanted to make sure it's covered. I wanted to make sure that any repairs would be covered. We also asked the pre-owned sales manager who again confirmed it covered everything.
I have taken the car in for repairs (oil changes and brakes). Now I took it in and I was informed that I need a transmission pan, radiator hose (coolant leak), thrushrod bushing on front brakes, intake hose for the trottle body totaling $1000.00. And BIG surprise it's not covered by my warranty. However, the brakes, oil change, belts and power steering leak have been repaired using the warranty. There are a couple of things I don't understand. How do they decide which is covered and which isn't ?
I had a Ford Expedition that in all honesty I never kept up with the maintance. In 7 years I never replaced a belt, never replaced a hose, never had any leaks ---- aren't BMW's suppose to be a higher end, better quality car. I can assure you the next car I buy will NEVER again be a BMW. I also think it's so sad that BMW has to LIE in order to sell cars. They don't have enough confidence in their cars to sell them because they are "that good".
I will pass the information along to everyone and I will NEVER recommend a BMW to anyone, especially from United BMW.

freezing front doors
I own 2001 BMW X5 which was purchased in November 2007 as a used vehicle. I have been experiencing a serious problem with my front doors freezing in the winter. This is my 3rd winter that my 2001 x5 door locks are frozen in sub zero temperature. In cold weather the doors freeze up not allowing access in or out of the vehicle. I have had to crawl through the rear doors to get in/out of the vehicle. This has happened numerous times and creates a real hazard as you cannot exit the vehicle quickly.
Also the latch freezes and will not allow the door to close so the door can fly open while driving. I have done some reading on internet and this is a recurring problem for many drivers. I think this is a serious safety issue when an accident does occur (hard to escape). I am shocked that this dangerous problem has not been addressed by BMW.
I would like to have this investigated by Transport Canada. Anybody in Canada experiencing same problem...please respond and e-mail Transport Canada. They need more people addressing this issue.

I bought a used 2006 Honda from this dealership and paid all the necessary taxes, registration, fees etc. They have managed to screw up my DMV registration. Long story short, I've been driving around with May 2009 stickers and this company iw still "working on it". I have all the papers to prove my registration, but because of their incompetence, I risk being pulled over for expired registration.

I bought a 2009 bmw from david aviles at russel bmw and it's been the worst customer service experience i've ever had.In fact, i've had a much better customer service experience buying ford's.
The warning signs started when I realized I knew more about the car I was buying than david. When i'd ask david a question about the vehicle rather than telling me he didn't know the answer and would need to research question and get back to me, he would just provide an incorrect answer.
You'd think someone with so much self proclaimed knowledge and experience would have the process of selling a car mastered, but it was anything but that. If you are buying a bmw from david, be prepared to make it a part time job. If you have a question, don't expect a return phone call, it's your job to call until you catch him. Need the vehicle pickup date, you'll have to call repeatedly. Missing something you paid for during the sale such as the ipod connector, accessories or the tags, you guessed it you'll have to call until you corner him.
Once the sale is complete and russel bmw has your money, it only gets worse. Russel bmw will forget you bought a car from them and are a customer. If you think my experience is unusual see the better business bureau website at http://www.Bbb.Org/greater-maryland/business-reviews/auto-dealers-new-cars/russel-automotive-group-in-catonsville-md-23015460 they rated the russel automative group an f which as a customer is no surprise.
I regret purchasing my bmw from russel bmw and wished I would have bought my car elsewhere.

bmw costumer service
In July of 2009 we were happy to get a new car - BMW X5. Yet, it was giving us a head ache from day ONE. Some kind of weird sign would come up on a dashboard. After going back and forth with the dealership we brought the car for a check up (keep in mind that car is brand new) My husband made an appointment at 9 am on Thursday August 13, 2009 . He was told to come back in couple of hours. Yet, they were so busy that they never even looked at the car that day. Next day he received a phone call saying that his brand new car has problems with exhaust and will not be fixed until Tuesday. He was also denied any kind of a loaner vehicle. He was so shocked that he forgot to ask if we could come and pick up our personal belongings from the car. When he called back no one answered so he left a message for William Wallace who still did not call us back (3 days later). When I called BMW Central office I did not get any help either. I was just told that it is not their policy to provide a replacement cars . So it is their policy to collect money for malfunctioning vehicles but it is not their policy to help their customers. Even though, John [protected] ext 8746), from customer service was well spoken and nice he really did not help us one bit. Our weekend was ruined, we had to pay a fortune for car service and we still were stuck paying insurance and car payment . I will NEVER in my life look at another BMW with respect! I guess a week without car is not sufficient problem for them but it is for us! I will make sure I will tell every single person I know what kind of costumer service BMW has and that high price doesn't guaranty good quality… I wish we could return this car I get our infinity back.
Answer to 535XI:
It was a brand new ( not even a month old X5 ) and we did not have to pay for the repairs but we still had to pay for insurance and loan payments for a non functional car.
At the end of the day we took our car to another dealership and we eventually got a loaner! and Thank God for that because we used that loaner for at least 3 weeks ( closer to a full month) because dealership had to special order the parts. So that is how BMW makes cars... They breakdown after a week of driving ... Plus when we asked to get this car towed from one dealership to another ( because we were informed that it was unsafe to drive) BMW customer service refused to help up... They said " it is your choice to drive an unsafe car" ... I was speechless. We are now back to Infinity and couldn't be happier.

Dear all:
On Saturday june 12th, during the trip on the freeway from Milan to Verona, my car marks that there is tyre rupture . Therefore, after the estimation of the damage, and since my car a BMW serie 1, is equipped with the "Pirelli run-flat tyres", with a certain autonomy, I went to the BMW dealer located in Verona at via Torricelli. At 9, 30 a.m. I found the center attendance closed and the center sales opened. Kindly, I was suggested to go to another center of assistance opened, 20 km far from Verona (Fimauto Bussolengo), where I was treated with a kind of " sufficience", for the fact that it was Saturday and because probably I did not have to come there…. (sic!). After expecting my turn (it was 10.30 a.m. and I had a very important appointment at 13, 00) the only employee, responsible for car acceptance attended me after approximately 20 minutes. He said that there is no a wheel like that because it is of "low quality and out of order" . So, I asked for another car and the answer was "I don't have one". Therefore, he suggested to go to another place located in the industrial are of Bussolengo (I never been there before….), not considering the adjacent Norauto center…. . At my arrival, the tyre changer was closed (11, 00 a.m., sic!). Back to Bussolengo I found Norauto (not a BMW center) opened. It was 12 a.m. After 1 hour the tyre changer at Norauto did the job. Clearly, I lose my appointment to which I held very much….
It is never possible that millionaire advertising campaigns are made for BMW products and the assistance service is so insufficient? . I do not belong to this "lucky" group of people that do not want to work on saturdays, since I work at the emergency room.
I hope that this effort will be useful for the next customer needing BMW assistance...
Sincerely:
If you truly bought a brand new X5 then why did it cost you any money to get it repaired BMW has a 4 year 50, 000 mile warranty/mantenance plan on all their vehicles they even replace you windshield wipers at no charge during this period of time also they provide loaner cars as long as you bought the car from that dealership. Sounds like you bought an old X5 from some shady dealership and got burned. I guess its true that you get what you pay for.
We faced the same problem with the X5. I dont know what of car is this. FUll of problems from day one. one or the other things stops working. Worse when you follow the dealers they dont even give you original parts and the experience is pathetic. I feel even a small car manufacturer provides a better service than BMW. My verdict is the same - BMW has no clue of sustaining the customers with their sales growing high and as a devastated BMW owner i'll make sure that noone in my circle ever buys this.

When you are going to the BMW DEALERSHIP, you are not dealing with BMW, but people who work for that franchisee. I am disappointed that your new BMW had a problem but I think you could get prompt service from the dealership that I go to and they give out new BMW loaner vehicles to use while your care is serviced/repaired.
terrible service
After having a 3 series BMW for 8 years, which I purchased brand new from BMW of Nashville in 2001, I can tell you that this is the worst service around. Maybe, just maybe if you get an extended warranty when you buy the car there you will be ok, but even then I've read many complaints on that especially if you get a pre-owned car. For 8 years of service, not once did I get a loaner car, which is supposed to be part of the deal, and instead of being treated well, I was treated like a second class citizen. If you are not under warranty, absolutely forget about having your car serviced there, just go to another mechanic specializing in BMW's because the dealer will charge you double the price. They have not stood behind their work either - new brakes for example that weren't right from the start and should have been replaced - on a follow-up visit I ended up having to fix brakes and they didn't cover it. To further add to the insult my car which is still a great car and has plenty of miles left to it - they appraised there for 2500 for a trade-in- which was so insulting and preposterous that all I could do was obviously decline. They seemed to really just be interested in getting me in a new car. I'm happy to never purchase a car there again, which is unfortunate because if I had received better service I would probably buy another BMW. I've heard amazing things about Infinity and their customer service, and they always have loaner cars - so my next purchase may very well be that car instead. Until then, I'm going to someone else for service and better treatment because I still have plenty of miles left on my car.

Incident
My BMX X3 Indicator came on that said I needed service (oil change, etc)within 1700 miles. I took the car in within the service period and they told me that because my car would be out of warrenty before the 1700 miles was up, (warrenty will be up in 1, 000) miles, they it would cost me $550 to have the service completed. The other warrenty service that I wanted done (engine was missing) they said that they would not do until I had the oil serviced. I called BMW corp and they contacted the dealer and advised me the deal was refusing to service my car and there was nothing they could do. Even though I have a warrenty that was purchased from BMW of Nashville when I bought the car, they are refusing to honor the service unless I pay them $550.
Damage Resulting
The cost to me could be thousands of dollars, which is why I purchased the warrenty in the first place. The warrenty appears to be a scam that is left up the the dealer to decide and BMW corp is blaming it on the dealer and will not step in and honor the extended warrenty I purchased from them.
if you read the warranty info before you purchased it, (A. you would know how to spell warranty and (B. you would have known this ahead of time. those warranties are not from BMW or any other car manufacturer. (factory warranties are usually really good) they are just aftermarket warranties like you see on t.v. commercials. they are total b.s. sales people and finance people get spiffs for selling them. some of the warr. companies are ok and will pay for many repairs per the contract. if you really want a warranty on your car, research a lot of them, incl. here, and pick the best one. or better yet, just put the same amount/month in a savings account and use that for repairs. don't buy anything just because a sales person says to.
defective car new
I had a horrific experience with my brand new 330XI in 2003 I experienced much difficulty getting the car to shift beyond first gear(automatic transmission YET!) when car was 2 months old..After many trips (7 which were 40 miles round trip )to dealership of purchase service dept...was given reports of no problem with test drive nor computer generated scan! Yet this vehicle continued to become more dysfunctional as weather changed & outside temp dropping. BMW of North America and dealership, continued to string me along despite many attempts to remedy the situation. By Jan'04 car was 4 months old and barely drivable..Took 5 hours to get home from 20 miles away during a snowstorm as car barely budged. I, by then was disgusted, frustrated & had lost considerable income finally I found out from another BMW dealership it was flagged in a service bulletin sent out by BMW of NA, and should not have been sold as those in that batch produced with mine had very serious stepmatic transmission problems. These problems would not have a remedy"fix kit" until late May possibly June'04! What would I drive until then? I would not find out the true nature of the car's problem had I was not given true answers by dealership of purchase nor BMW of NA! I am a Realtor and my cars performance affects my job performance..no go, no show==no dough!I retained an atty as no one would help remedy the situation despite futile attemps to seek remedy from all the above for over 5 months! With retained atty (for fee of $1500)we negotiated I would trade my dysfunctional 2003 in for same model with same amenities for a new 2004 by then my car had depreciated by $8, 900(despite low mileage 400) but a "good will" credit would be issued to the dealership of trade in by BMW Corp...I traded car goodwill was never issued to me or dealership~ I was held responsible for the $8, 900 discrepancy and was never reimbursed. In addition I had never been compensated for my atty fees, loss time, loss of income, the aggrevation etc...The BMW dealership I traded the 2003 to reported to me the fix kit did not become available until june'04 Really! What was I supposed to have driven had I not traded as per the lies of BMW CORP? Attorney fees would supercede remedy amount and would prove a crap shoot! That car sat on dealership lot undrivable from first week of Feb- mid June2004 (5 months)and it was so damaged the fix kit was not sufficient. As a result they wholesaled it at an auction as they could not certify it as a Preowned. More than likely it would prove to be a liability with problems! I will never do business with BMW ~THEY KNEW THEY COULD AND SO THEY DID! I would like to know how many other owners of that batch of cars have shared my experience if not how was their situation handled-Thank you

window regulators
Our 1998 bmw 528i has had all the window regulators go bad at least once. The drive window is on its fourth regulator. This is a chronic problem that other bmw models also are having. A friend of mine has had his x5 driver side window regulator fail 4 times. I would not be writing this if bmw had a continuous improvement program to correct these design problems. The moon roof regulator also has this same problem, it was replaced under warranty twice and I had to pay for it once. I have decided not to fix it a fourth time.
It is even hard to find an aftermarket replacement that is not the same design. Bmw needs to support their vehicles after the warranties runs out. The problem in my opinion, is the plastic pulleys, the cables pull right off.
The sad part is I am discouraging friend from buying bmw because of this problem.

The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Even the cheapest cars on the planet don't have this pos design! If your in yhe water, and the window won't go down, this is a safety issue!. If a thug or rapist comes to the car, and the window won't go up, this is a safety issue! In winter, and the window won't go up, this is a safety issue.BMW MADE THIS TRASH AND SHOULD MAKE A NEW DESIGN WITH LIFETIME
Guarantees!... pure garbage!
I've been through 2 window regulators in less than a month. How can BMW label their vehicles The Ultimate Driving machine. Normal wear and tear on any vehicle is expected. But to have parts fail repeatedly after just a few weeks is utterly ridiculous.
Own a 2003 BMW 325i under 100k miles, and all four window mechanisms have needed to be replaced and the drivers side has needed it 2 times already. I do lower my window every morning to swipe into work but lets be real a BMW should not have these issues.
I, too, have replaced 4 regulators and a fifth one is out now, too. I have a 2002 330i that I bought in '04. Has anyone tried to sue BMW? I am thinking of doing so in small claims court. I am tried of sheling out an extra $350 every six months for a window. There has to be a way to make BMW responsible for an obvious design flaw such as this.
I have a 2007 328i with 50K miles and I'm being told that both back window regulators need to be replaced on windows that rarely (I can count on 1 hand how many times) get used. I can (reluctantly) see how maybe the driver side or front passenger windows could need to be replaced because of normal wear (that's what I was told - NORMAL WEAR!). I have also had many different brands in my 50 something years and never had more things go wrong with a vehicle.
I have driven for 50 years and have owned a number of brands of cars, but I have NEVER encountered a problem with what BMW calls their window regulators. My X-3 has 60, 000 miles on it and I have now replaced both rear window regulators!
When I picked it up last week from BMW Naples, FL, I noticed that now the two front panels are making grumbling noises - so back to the dealership this morning to be told by their Service Consultant that this is a sign that the front two doors are now also about to break. He said he could tell that the "belts are separating". I do not use any of the windows a lot and never, in any brand of car, have I ever encountered such a SHODDY mechanism!
I have a E-60, E-39 and a Mini Cooper (by bmw) I can start my own window regulators repair shop, I change them so many TIMES... Last time I will by a BMW, Thinking of go back to GM...
I have a 2004 BMW325i and have now replaced two window regulators in 2 months! This makes 3 windows in a year and a half. This to me is shoddy work. Seems every time is right after warranty ends.
yup, bmw window regulators suck. i've worked on bmw's for 10 years. there is no recall because recalls are for safety and emissions only...for all car companies. all cars have weak points as they are all designed differently. why do people think cars should last forever and everything should be warrantied forever. it's just a machine... YOUR MACHINE! and machines need to be repaired from time to time. also, when you bought it, it had a 50, 000 mile warranty which is better than most other companies. i just don't understand why bmw owners think it's bmw's responsibility to fix they're cars. if you like the car, then replace the window regulators when they break. if you don't like it, buy a different car. and you know what? that car will probably have something else that breaks a lot. because its just a machine.
Same problem here. Right passenger window regulator went bad and took it to dealer. They explained that the more you use the window, the better the regulator works(?). Anyway, having no reason to rolldown the rear windows, they offered to replace the first one gratis...since I was only 200 miles outside my warranty. Two weeks later, the left passenger window was rolled down accidentally, and got stuck. Now they want me to pay for it. Why is there no recall on this part?

My wife and I purchased a used 2006 audi a3 from germain bmw in the summer of 2008. We live in michigan, and found the car online in naples, florida.
After confirming the vehicle's condition with pictures and making a deposit, we flew down to the dealer on a weekend and planned on driving thru the night to get back home. Upon arrival, we noticed the vehicle had body damage to the passenger side. This must have been a recent accident. Germain bmw offered to fix it, however we did not have time as we needed to drive the vehicle home to be back in time for work. Germain bmw assured us we could have the vehicle fixed in michigan and they would reimburse us for all the body repair cost. They suggested that we take it to the same shop that our local audi dealer uses, and supplied us with a signed 'i owe you' note stating they would pay for the necessary repairs.
After returning home, we received one quote from the audi repair shop which was $2000. This seemed high, so out of courtesy, we received another quote from the local bmw body repair shop which was approximately $1800. We supplied the detailed quotes to germain bmw.
This is when the problem started. Germain bmw dismissed the quotes and stated that the price should not be more than $200. Yes, I said it - $200! Keep in mind that the car has a large shallow dent, a crease in the sheet metal and the paint is scraped thru to the primer.
At this point, I took the car to 2 more 'budget' repair shops. I did not want to take our audi to such shops, but wanted to get additional quotes in hopes germain would come to their senses and realize the true cost. After all, what incentive do I have for all this? The prices were $1400 +. After going back and forth a few times, germain bmw was no help, and offered us $400 for an $1800 repair!
We were insulted and denied their offer. They even had the gull to say it could be repaired via a paintless dent repair. I'm no expert on the subject, but how can paintless dent repair fix the paint!?! Again, out of courtesy, I took the car to a paintless dent repair facility to see if it was possible to fix it. They just laughed, but more importantly assured me that it needed paint work/blending and bodywork to get rid of the crease.
We now have 4 quotes from local repair facilities and additionally, 1 paintless dent repair review. Note: germain has never done a detailed look at what it would cost to repair - just a quick look at the car on the morning we pointed out the damage. Germain refuses to converse with any of the body shops to discuss the necessary work and are overall extremely unaccommodating.
Think twice before dealing with such a company - or better yet, do not take a risk with your hard earned money. I hope this has been helpful to anyone considering buying a car from germain bmw. Find your car elsewhere. Have a great day!

I have a bmw 3.16 İ sedan automobil which I have purchased in 2005 from kosifler bostanci turkey.
Below you can find full details of my auto
Type : 3.16 İ sedan
Model : 2005
Engine no : a35oh314
No : wbaey11015fj52180
Owner name : bilun akderi
At the moment my car is at 58000 km
(I am the 1st owner of this car)
All the maintenance and services of my car handled by kosifler.
Last saturday (March 28th 2009) , I sit down in my car, I turned the key but my car dİd not start working. Immediately I have called bmw and they sent me a mobile maintenance team. When they arrived and check the car, they said that it should me moved to the car service in kosifler and it should be check. At the moment it seems to be a broken crankshaft. And when I asked him what may be the reason; he told me that this is not related with the driver, it is factory fault.
And on the same day, theytook my car with a tower to kosifler bostanci auto service. Since it was holiday, they could not say anything.
But during the whole holiday, I made a search about the possible reasons of this breakdown. And regret to say that this is an & lsquo;illness of bmw’. And this is completely the fault of factory. And I have been informed that bmw is aware of his fault and collected some of these cars from the market.
But this is my unfortune that I paid thousands of euros to a defective car.
Today (30/03/09) I got a phone call from the service advİser (Namely mr. Feramus dogan) and he informed me that crankshaft has been broken, and there is damage on cylinders and total claim is eur 3214 plus labour fees.
My car is at 58.000 km.
And this malfunction is not related to driver fault. This is completely to production fault.
Hereby I would like to inform you that I will never pay such a repairment fee because of bmw production fault. You have sold me defective car.
At the moment my car is at kosifler car service in bostanci.
They are asking me that money (Eur 3214 plus labour fees. ) for repairment. But since this malfunction is caused by factory production fault, this maintenance should be made under bmw car guarantee.
Otherwise I will apply to all possible legal ways and I will file a case against bmw.
You do not have a right to sell us defective cars.
We are buying bmw cars to be on the safe side.
So I will appreciate if you make an investigation thru kosifler auto bostanci tr (www.Kosifler.com. Tr)
I will not take my car from there. Also due to this malfunction now I do not have a car, this also effected my business life and you do not have the right to leave me without a car.
Looking forward to hear your prompt reply.
All my legals rights reserved.

The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I totally understand, I bought a Bmw 320 td in which my crankshaft broke which cost me over 2000 bucks to get fixed! I would like to know how your legal case is going with Bmw and is it possible to get compensation for this manufacturing defect .
Its really not fair how Bmw is doing this because we bought the car due to Bmw's so called reliable name and statues!
poor customer service
Would you buy a brand new car that came with no quality assurance what so ever? If you are buying a BMW in Canada, you might just have done that... I am driving a two years old BMW that for the past two years can only gives me the worst kind of rough transmission shifting un-imaginable. Taking it to BMW Canada can only add to the frustration. Their customer service staff are trained to give out hollow promises like "Customers' satisfaction is the ultimate goal" or that they "won't stop until (I am) absolutely satisfied with the outcome". What they only have done, was gave out solutions that had limited and non-permanent results. They even told me that the fixing it over and over again is the only remedy available for me because according to their assessment, I was never in any danger. I didn't see them when I had my near misses. How about the "Ultimate Driving Machine"? It's not a guarantee, not even a promise, as my BMW was all along "performing as designed" and "within the manufacturer's standard". And that they can only do what the head office in Germany told them to do. "Ultimate Customer Experience"? You bet! I would never ever forget! You want to use the CANADIAN MOTOR VEHICLE ARBITRATION PLAN (www.camvap.ca) to take some responsibility to your hard earned money? Sorry, BMW doesn't believe its customers deserve any easy third party arbitrator that would spoil their agenda. BMW Canada is NOT a participant of CAMVAP because it’s not compatible with their business model. If you are reading this, make an informed decision. If you are reading this too late, good luck and I am here with you!
I have bought a BMW 650 model 2014, 0 milage from Vancouver. The car itself is amazing, but the service provided is terrible. During the 2 years that i have had this car, whenever I need annual services or if it has any issues I'll go to the BMW branch on Burrard, and its sad to say that not even once have they provided me an even somewhat decent service. All they do is fix the technical program in the car not anything else so after a few days I will have the exact same problem as I have had before I took it to get 'serviced'. The most recent time I've been there which was during this month, I had to leave two messages before getting an response and then when I took the car on time they spoke very rudely and after calling twice during five days to check up on my car I have still not received any callback. Unfortunately after these experiences i will never buy a BMW from Canada again.
Made the biggest mistake of my life leased a 328SI bmw 2013. 4 year lease. Customer service has been nothing but S*** to say the least. manager at langley location is an arrogant tool. He doesn't care if you are customer or who he is talking to. Has no respect for anyone.
1) took car in for servicing first time. Got dropped off at willowbrook mall. was told 1.5 hours later our shuttle will come grab you and ur car should be done. 2.5 hours later i called beacuse i was to start work at 730pm. We will send shuttle they say. so total 3 hours i'm back at the shop. See a guy walking by and shoving sandwich in his mouth, receptionist asks if my car is ready..which one is it he asks her. "oh we havent even started on this car yet." Outstanding service. GOt 20+++ bs excuses why. I was so angry. Talked to some heather chick was useless. They didn't care. gave me my car. Didn't wash it, said " iwas in a hurry so didn't vacumm it either." Even if so, "they only do drivers side and passenger side that's it." Great customer service.
2) Car had to go in again, but hey we will come get your car. Great book a date and time. COnfirmed my address with two diff people. Told them i have an appt at 130pm for chiropractor. No worries they tell me we are BMW the best friggin customer service kind of ppl ever! NOT!
Get a call at 1250pm. Hi miss i am outside your house. I look down from my patio and say where? And if i own a house please bring the documentation because i'll take the house over my condo. They went to someone elses house. I missed my appointment. Got charged $65.00 from chiro's office. CANT TYPE WORD I WANT! But again they don't care.
Wait wait...when they returned my car they washed it this time and gave me a water bottle with a bmw label on it.
I called BMW langley. spoke to Darryl who was fantastic. agreed they dropped the ball and was very apologetic abou same. I talked to the manager Ali not sure what is his last name is starts with a J. WOW what a pri**! arrogant, unprofessional a**. Did not care about any of the above. asked me what i want him to do "fire his staff." He was not sorry, not apologetic and it was almost like it was the norm for him to get these calls and just treat ppl like we are nobodies but when seling they are your best friend. Disgusted by this man!
3)This year i took my car in to boundary location. I called night before saying i am doing a night shift. Can i drop it off after night shift. I dont need a loaner car because i'm going home to sleep. No problem, they say, come in, drop keys, we will drop you home and your car.
Thought diff location might get better service not thinking it's still BMW. I get there at 745am. here is a buzzer have a seat, they will be with you in 20minutes. after a 12 hour shift wowzers. I said i spoke to someone last night can i just get a ride which is 2 blocks away from the dealershi[ p home.
Had to wait 30min for shuttle. Guy dealing with me said sorry we can't drop your car off. You have to wake up 3 hours later and come get it. I said i was doing you guys a favor by not taking the loaner car bc i was going to sleep anyways. Can't you just drop it off. Nope argued with me for another 10min. An hour later i got a ride home from this nice lady. She began to tell me that they are a**holes, treat their staff like crap, they work short staff all the time and get paid nothing. she asked me to write about my concerns to BMW canada. LOL. She said that was unacceptable how they spoke to you and you are not the only one. they talk to everyone like that. The recpetionist at bmw got out of her chair to tell the sales guy that we have to drop her off and pick her up and told me not to worry that i will get my car brought to me while he argued. DOUCE!
4) I wanted to get out of my 4 year lease. I called Bmw canada and got a 2 month rookie sales person on the phone.
Drove out to langley in traffic 2hours sat with him for 3 hours. Angry and pissed iwth my entire day wasted on garbage.
So have 21 months remaining on lease. BMW has left me with such a disgusting foul taste in my mouth with their outstanding service that i want to get out of this partially bc of that and secondly due to financial stress.
they tried to cell me a 2011 honda civic ex, 85, 000km, $2000 accident claim, rusted rims, scuffed rims for balloon financing for $378 a month payments, ding me $5070 for negative equity from the lease plus i will after 5 year financing the car pay them $5000 more so in total for a 2011 honda civic basic model $27, 500 taxes in for a 2011 model. I almost fell for it. Was so annoyed, angry and just wanted lower payments and they knew i wanted out. Over and over it wasn't making sense to me i told the sales guy. asked them to lower price of honda. we are discounting this for you because you are our customer he kept saying...give ma a friggin break bmw doesn't do anything for their customers it's all about them and their job and mking MONEY from people.
the rookie typed out a contract stating "i am not forced into this contract, i contacted bmw to ask them to get me out of my lease and i asked for the honda civic and understand this agreement." I crossed it all out and said no i did not ask for the civic and no i dont understand it. It's illegal to get anyone to sign a typed out document saying i agree and won't coomplain about whatever bc im getting into it on my own.
I did start signing the papers and correcting the odometer reading that they up'd by 5, 000 o n my car for some strange reason and crossing out extra hidden charges. Added other fees in there that they didn't tell me about. I got up, asked for my keys and THE PRIC* came out the manager. He said "I know you and i talked to you before." Not stating that we screwed up with your car many times and what can i do to help you with this process or make it easier or explain it so you can have a better understanding. He was rude! very rude!
Such an a**! I called him a pric* and told him i didnt want to deal with him. He turned around and said "i'm not seling you the car." lol. I asked for my keyes back. Had to wait 20 min for that bc they already took the plates off and had to ge the guy to put them back on.
Brought the bmw back home. I am so glad that i didnt get caught up in a 5 year plan with them again and pay $27000 for a 2011 honda civic with rusted/scuffed wheels/rims that had 84, 000km on it and 5 years later pay them $5000 more on top of that. NO thanks.
I'm just in a very tight place financially and made a very poor decision leasing this car for the first time in my life.
Feel better after br inging it home. $600 a month for 21 more months $12, 600 over $27, 000 plus $5000 not thanks BMW i will NOT give you any m ore of my money!
YOu give s**service! I am not shocked to read all the posts on their service. These people are brutal when it comes to customer service...esp this arrogant manager of theirs.
or maybe it's me that my expectations are so hight i was told by one guy. For a luxury car company i should not except this.
Honda gives amazing service

BMW TAKES THE CAKE WHEN IT COMES TO CUSTOMER SERVICE
0.1/10 worst customer service i have ever experienced in my life.
Digusted with BMW . icing on the cake. They were badmouthing the staff they got rid of. said we are trying to better our service and we got rid of the bad weeds i was told. Krystal in finance being one. I was not shocked at all from this comment about them talking about they ex staff this way. esp from a 2 month rookie sales person.
On Oct 14 get a letter regarding a recall for airbag from BMW. After fixing an appointment with the local dealer for Dec 4, get a call on Dec 2 saying "sorry, we don't have the part, we will call you as soon as we get it". Jan 22, 2014 call BMW Canada Customer Service to inquire o the status. Rep cheekily says "It is not BMW's problem, it is a third party part supplier!". Then refuses to transfer to a supervisor - claims he's the manager. If it is a recall, shouldn't you prioritize it. Over 3 months and BMW still doesn't have any idea of when the part will arrive!
having bought an x6 figuring buying a luxury car of that caliber one would not have to worry about problems, little did i know what i got myself into, where to begin, after 4 days of having the car i had to call bmw canbec in montreal to advise them that i had no heat from the heaters, was told to buy a trickle charger to charge the battery, that was the least of my problems, i had 30 pages of work orders in the 2 years i kept the car, from engine problems to transmission to sun roof never closing, to tail gate opening on its own, i had put 22k on the car when i brought the car back in the last time they keptr the car 2 months before they finally fixed it, on calling bmw canada their response to me was, did they give you a courtesy car, sure an x1, while i am paying for an x6, the last visit to Canbec BMW was the last time, contacted consumers protection, along with the bbb, sent letters to BMW CANADA, and BMW NORTH AMERICA in Newjersy,
after lengthy conversations with BMW CANADA an arangement was made for me to give back the car, through a voluntary release and surrender form that they BMW CANADA provided, once signed i figured the matter to be over and done with, now i should mention that this all happened back in February of 2014, now we are in the month of November 2014, and little to my surprise, i was in the middle of purchasing a range rover, when i was told that my credit is no good, BMW CANADA not only took my car back, but they stiffed me on my credit bureau, for a loss of 14000$ that they sold the car at auction, beware you are never going to win even if you are 1000% right all that matters to BMW CANADA is the bottom line $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, we are only a # to them what they tend to forget is that without us #'s they are not where they are today, BMW--- BUS METRO WALK-----
First and last bmw. There are too many issues to address in this forum, however in brief, if you bought a Lemmon, you will experience some of the finest dealership " lip service" imaginable. The depths of deceit is award winning! Lame excuses personified. Then, to add to your level of frustration, contact bmw Na customer (dis)service in an effort to rectify the issues. . Apparently they invented the practice of stonewalling. Finally, if you get though to bmw head office you will quickly recognize the term "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree"! Take all your previous frustrations and multiply them by ten. These executives(?) really are a shamefully arrogant and an exceedingly condescending, dishonest lot.
In summation, if you have never owned a bmw, and have reasonable expectations of quality, reliability and integrity, DON'T WALK, RUN!
BMW has poor customer service. I purchased the extended warranty from TC BMW for my MINI Cooper which covers up to 70 k km. When the car hit 50k km, it started breaking down every other month and every single time the item is not covered by warranty . I bought the most expensive extended coverage and it was advertised as bumper-to-bumper coverage. Later on, when I started facing problems, the dealership started telling me this is a 3rd party coverage and they are not liable. I tried to call BMW Canada for help, but got poor customer service from this rep named Kate, who claims that there's no escalation point and she would be the first and last manager I would be able to talk to. She talked to me as if I am not a BMW customer and told me there's nothing she can do for me because the BMW dealer has sold me a third party coverage. Her attitude was bad as well. I would have never expected such attitude from a luxurious car company. I am never buying a BMW again in my life.
I have purchased X3 xDrive35i in August 2013. Since then we did about 5K km on it. The number of troubles I had with this car is insane comparing to the amount I paid for it. Yes, it is "free" for me, the service is good, they provide the replacement car etc. But my time, my wife's stress when the car dies on the road - how much does it cost? Currently my car is stuck at the dealership for 2 weeks because they need a part that is backordered from Germany. And I have got an X1 loaner which is simply too small for my family. And after they get it back to life there is another problem to take care - the rattling sunroof, the noise it makes when it is cold is very unpleasant. And this is a known problem, many people suffer from it. Hey, BMW, YOUR CAR IS A LEMON and I am hiring a lawyer to deal with it, not a technician.
I purchased a used 740 I from performance BMW in St. Catharine's after a couple of months I started having major problems with the car, dynamic drive inactive, engine light, seatbelt light, airbag light all on. I have been stuck on the side of the road numerous times as the car won't go into gear, I took these issues to the salesman who sold me the car. He wasn't willing to help on the repairs, but instead tried to sell me another car which I found out when I got home and checked on the Internet was marked up by $ 8, 000 he basically lied to me about the price on the vehicle to offset the trade in. As a Realtor I find this dishonesty should not be allowed in the sales of cars as it would never be accepted in the sale of a home. Not only have I been sold a bad car but the customer servivce has been the worst I have ever had to deal with, I don't understand how they get away with this. Stay clear of performance, after the sale they don't know you.
I got new X3. it was not too much wrong the the first 7 month. But just for change a tire, it has been take about 2 weeks. I haven't got the tire replaced yet. I have been the services department twice. The first they just fill up the tire can tell me if it lose pressure, you just come back. they 3 days later, i call them back because of the flat tire warning show up. I book an appointment, in order to have the tire changed another 3 days later. During the Appointment, they spend a lot of to find the leak spot. Then they said they a kind of fixed the leak, but there is no that kind of the tire. I did faxed in my tire protection documents after the stupid appointment. Now it has been 4 days, i need to fill up the tire everyday. You don't believe it ! so am i ! I called them, but no one call me back about the next coming appointment. Come on, just a tire replace, do you need whole month?
I bought a 2012 BMW X6 brand new. From the first sign of cold weather the car has stalled every morning since. I have had the car in the shop for 8 months and needless to say we are pissed. We have gone through 7 rental cars and all our patience. BMW has now called and told us we will be reimbursed 4700.00 dollars, of which I have told them to shove it as that is a complete insult of an offer seeing as the car has depreciated more in that time. The "executive" that made the decision to give us the sum instead of a replacement doesnt even have the balls to call us himself. I asked to speak to him and I was told executives dont speak to customers. This just tells you how grounded those square heads really are. Friends, Family and Neighbors have agreed they will never purchase a BMW ever again seeing the service we have received.
rude bmw salesman
Hello I have to tell whoever will listen that a certain salesman at BMW of Northhouston is paying escorts for sex on his lunchbreaks. I know this because I know an escort that he has been seeing on a regular basis. He is very rude and arrogant to her. She hates him but needs the money. All I know about him is that he has an accentlike arnold shwartzneger and thinks he is great. He treats my friend like trash but has the cash. BMW you should really know who you are hiring . This guy is ###

tire failure
My 650 coupe has been into the dealership 12 x in 16 months. Run flat tires, low profile tires pot holes. End of story 8 replacement tires, 3 rims and hours spent in the dealership. Beware low profile tires on the 650. All my friends have had similar problems. I have spent days at the dealer waiting for my car. I would never buy a bmw again
you shouldn't run over so many pot holes. you'd think you would learn after the first one.

Its unfortunate that consumers are spending top dollar for BMW cars and warranties to cover repairs, only to have the BMW service department determine what is covered by warranty and what isn't. I have a BMW 550 and recently had a A/C assembly go out on me, I took it in to the BMW service department and was told the cost for repairs is $1, 250 + tax. When I requested the repair be made under the warranty I was told warranty doesn't pay for damaged parts. So how is the part damaged I wasn't in an accident and only BMW serviced the vehicle. I was told an object came into the car hit the coil and reflected into the A/C assembly causing damage. How far fetched is that! for an object to hit the radiator coil and not penetrate it but has enough velocity to damage the high pressure hose of an A/C assembly. Like I said its unfortunate because I really like the 550 and hate to trade it for something else. I will find another way to remedy the problem.
