Rental car service
I had a car reserved with my friend as the driver. Her flight was canceled, and when we got to our destination, I went and explained the situation. The rental company would not let us take the car so we rented another one. I emailed booking, and after the generic email, I did receive a response that said the rules are only a refund if you cancel 24 hours before. I sent them the screenshot from the app that said the flight was canceled and I have asked for a manager. Crickets is all I have gotten after several attempts. I will NEVER use this company again and I am spreading the word to everyone I know who travels to stay away! I lost about $643 dollars with them.

Full coverage reimbursement
I was assured last week that I would be compensated by September 28 (today) for the $1094.82 I spent in March for a windshield repair after having purchased full coverage. So far, the money has not arrived in my bank account.
I have sent repeated emails, all required supporting documents, and my bank information. I usually receive automated responses that my case is "being investigated." When I received an email assuring me that the money would be in my account today, I was hopeful.
It is now noon on September 28, and there is no sign of a deposit in progress.
How can I get a resolution? I am beyond frustrated.
Desired outcome: Refund the money today, as promised.
Car hire
Our flight to Limoges from Manchester on 28 August was cancelled suddenly, so we had to reschedule our flights to the 30 August. So our car hire at Limoges could not be picked up. This was booked through economy booking.com
I emailed them as soon as I could, but just keep getting standard responses. The following day we emailed them again without success. So we had to ring enterprise at Limoges airport and rebook the car, but as it was not booked through them we had to pay again. So we are out of pocket by 650€ please can you do anything to help

Refund for not delivering services
On the 11th of January 2023 I was supposed to rent a car through Booking Group for a price of 550 Euros, I made my booking with more than one month of advance. When i arrived at the airport the rental company didn't want to rent out the car with an excuse (probably they didn't have any car available). I immediately called the customer service that could not help and asked me to apply for a refund.
So i went to SIxt and i got another car, obviously more expensive since was booked on the day.
Once I applied for the refund, I was assigned the complaint number B21047531 and I just received emails asking me to wait for them to gather a phantomatic support documentation and I am not receiving the money back. A joke. Stay away, from these scammers.

Inability To Recover Accident Excess Paid Despite Having Paid For Full Coverage Insurance

PICK UP MALAGA AIRPORT 4TH SEPTEMBER 2022 ( UNTIL 18TH SEPTEMBER 2022 )
My contract with Economy Car Rentals full coverage insurance required me to submit my claim no later than 90 days after the end of the rental to the Headquarters of Economy Car Rentals. I now have the documentation required although I only got my credit card statement on 17th October to prove the excess payment. However I have trying since then to find the Headquarters address of Economy Car Rentals with no success.
Today I picked up a link to Full Coverage Request at Bookings.com, but it requires a 9 digit booking number and I have only an 8 digit one. So that route was closed to me
Also I note that the Full coverage request made a 60% deduction if more than 14 days after rental period, which again conflicts with my contract timing of 90 days.
Desired outcome: REPAYMENT OF 760 Euro or £667.66
Auto Rental with last second hidden charges/fees
On Sept 6th I've made an auto reservation, not being aware that bookinggroup.com is NOT booking.com. Nevertheless, I've cancelled my reservation within 3 minutes, but the vendor is charging me a cancellation fee which I did not select, choose or saw. Main reason for the immediate cancellation, is because the initial total amount for the rental was almost $51+ but at the end of the reservation completion the total amount was over $89.00, very very deceiving. I've requested a full refund, but have not received a satisfactory response.
Please assist if you can. Any additional charges/fees should be disclosed up front, not in the end. My full refund should be $89.12 and not $52.27. I appreciate your assistance.

I rented a car from Thrifty using booking group. Booking № B88385222
a 273$ car rental turned into 373 USD because they did not mention all the
surcharges that would occur from Thrifty. Inter city fee and pick up drop off charges.
Would have been cheaper to go to Thrifty directly.
Its just a hidden fees scam company. Stay away.

I booked for car reservation on 6/14/2021 for pick up at Thrifty car rental at Chicago Airport on 7/1/2021. The confirmation booking number is B86014635. The credit card I used for the booking was my wife's credit card. On 6/15/2021 I received at Email stating that the payment failed for booking and that the credit card used was blocked by the bank. I assumed that the booking failed because the booking was in my name and the credit card was in my wife's name. So my wife and I decided to do another booking in her name. Her booking number is B51936537 charged on the same credit card. On 6/16/2021 I received ant Email from Ecomomy booking .com starting that the booking in my name was confirmed charging me $288.67. Not sure how the credit card payment was successfully completed when the credit card was blocked and I did not initiate that payment. so I decided to cancel that reservation (B86014635), knowing that my wife and I have two reservations. Later on that evening 6/16/2021 I received a cancellation Email from Economybooking .com that the credit card was going to be charged $90.84 and a refund $197.83 in to the card within 7 days. I an requesting for a full refund of $288.67 back in to the card because I did not complete the payment for that booking (B86014635), plus the payment failed because the card was blocked.

Credit card charges on a service not accepted by partner company
This is the awful experience I had while using the booking group services (https://www.bookinggroup.com):
I rented a car to inter rent through booking group web site, which should be picked up at barajas airport in madrid. I also booked a full insurance offered by booking group on line, which they charged to my credit card immediately while the rental was processed.
When going to the airport to pick up the car, inter rent did not accept the insurance sold to me by booking group and offered to me the opportunity of getting another insurance which was much more expensive, up to the point that the rental tariff was not competitive at all, so I canceled the reservation.
Booking group tells me that they are not refunding the insurance I paid to them despite it was not accepted by their partners and the rental never took place.
Be aware of booking group fraudulent practices.

Booking buddies / booking group is a bad company do not rent from them.
I rented a car from them and I actually prepaid for the rental which was stupid on my part but anyhow I thought I was saving money and now it has been several days and they have not refunded my money I cancelled rental a short time after I booked the rental because I was needing a car during the repair of my vehicle. I got call car was all set so I immediately sent a request to cancel the rental... I did not use the car and asked for any refunds needed they have not gave me my money they have not communicated with me only a computer generated response so i'm so mad they will not give me my money back and i'm disputing it via my credit card company... Ty that probably will get my money back so it will take a while to get the money back but at least I have some recourse.

This company is just a broker and have no care what so ever as to what unscrupulous company they are booking you with and just brush their hands of any issues you have/had.
Our paperwork told us we would be met in the airport foyet by the rental company but after waiting and searching, no one showed, we enquired at the airport desk, who told us the rental company had an office across the main road outside, so we struggled across with all our suitcases to find no one in the office either.
The contact number we had on our form, no one answered, after trying many numbers written on the little shack of an office door, eventually one of the numbers answered and we were told he was on his way.
On arrival he said he would upgrade us for free for our trouble, (the condition of the upgrade made us dread to think of the condition of the car we were going to have)
In the shack of an office, the company started adding all sorts of payments on top, which added to an extra 268.47 gbp on top of the price we were given, we could not cancel our rental as we had appartments booked all over the country that we needed transport to get to, so we were over a barrel
The cars issues soon became apparent, when it rained, the windscreen wipers were next to useless, the seats had springs poking up, the car was filthy and tatty
The rental company was ADDCAR so definitley avoid them too
on our return, around 20th September, i e mailed Booking group immediately with our complaint and its taken them all this time, to let us know that basically they brush their hands of it all, they are NOT interested at all and are not prepared to even try to get some of our money back, my advise AVOID!
We´ve used many rental companies over the years in many countries, this was by far our worse experience

It was my biggest mistake to make car rental with this cheater booking.Com site ... They sent me a booking confirmation to rent a car at chisinau airport at moldova and charged me and withdrawn form my credit card 32.67 eur (37.58 usd) they sent me: ''confirmation of your car rental booking b51805076''.. So far everything looks normal.. When i reached to agent named interrent and present the voucher at chisinau airpot, they said me: we have not received any notice and we do not have any cars to give you... So i had to rent the car from another company at very high rate.. I have e-mai̇led bookinggroup and requested them to repay the prepayment that they have withdrawn from my credit card(32.67 eur equvqlent of (37.58 usd).. Instead they have sent me an invoice of 37.58 usd proving the way they cheated on me.. (invoice number:bg-b51805076)

I have used this company to book a rental car in Portugal and hidden fees were applied including out of hours fee that were charged because they made us wait to be attended as there were other people in front of us. Yup, you read that right, they charged us because they were attending other people and we were waiting in the queue
The pickup time was booked for 19:30 and return at 7am. As described on the voucher underneath the remaining amount to be paid: "Above balance is accurate if no extra services agreed locally, apart from pre-booked items already included." there should not be any extra charges regarding pick up/return times. However, the company have charged us for the return time saying it is out of hours. They have also charged us out of hours for the pickup time.
Our flight arrived slightly earlier than scheduled, it arrived at 19:12 and we were the waiting zone at 19:20 waiting for the shuttle service as described on the voucher. The shuttle service took 20 minutes+ to arrive and when it arrived there were many people waiting that we could not get on the van as there were no more spaces. We had to wait another 20 minutes or so for it to return. Once we managed to get to the office there was a queue of customers in front of us and we had to wait around 40 minutes to be attended. Then, rather than apologise for making us wait and waste our holiday time, they charged us out of hours for picking the car up late (it was 9pm when we finally managed to get the car). Various emails were sent with no replies at all.

I had a tyre exploded on the highway and Avis debited me some 320 Euros
When presenting Bookinggroup with Avis invoice they refused to pay. They tried to give me a hard time by asking me to submit all kinds of details instead of honouring their commitment and insurance policy.
This is what they emailed me:

We have to receive from Your side:
• Copy of your driving license (both sides),
• Bank statement in which are indicated all charges processed by the rental company(where your name and credit card number can be seen),
• Photo or video evidence of the damage.
• Document which confirms your travel period (plane ticket or hotel voucher),
• Rental agreement
• Detailed description of the accident and its causes.
• Witness or police report.
• Full number of used bank card ****-****-****-4965 to confirm refund.
From our side, we have requested the necessary documents from the supplier.
After receiving all documents from your side and partners request will be sent to our Insurance Department for further consideration of your request. Insurance Department will estimate the amount to be reimbursed, taking into account all conditions of insurance, types of damage, as well as the amount that was debited by the Rental Company.
They just want you to be fed up and give up your claim.

Avoid. Never got my hire car nor any refund for a rental paid fully in advance. We were in croatia on holiday in august and had booked car hire through bookinggroup.com for the second week of our holiday. I had requested a nine seater vehicle and had arranged to collect the vehicle from dubrovnik airport and had provided 9h00 as the estimated time that we would need the car. I also provided my mobile phone number to bookinggroup.com, who subsequently sent me a car hire voucher showing that the car would be provided by green motion care hire whose “opening hours” at dubrovnik airport were 7h00-22h00. It took longer to get to the airport than expected and I arrived at the airport around 10h30 but could not find a car hire desk for green motion. I then walked to the car hire site on the edge of the airport grounds and could also not find green motion car hire at this site. I then phoned green motion using the number provided on the car hire voucher (At around 10h40) and was told that their driver had delivered the car to the airport at 9h00 but had since left (With the car) as I had not arrived at the scheduled time and they had not been provided with my mobile phone number. I was also told that it was now impossible for them to provide me with a car and I should make alternative plans, but that I could expect a full refund. It was very difficult to then find an alternative car and we were only able to find a seven seater, which was a considerable inconvenience for our large group and which also cost eur500 more than the car we had booked and fully paid for in advance. We were also never told that we had to be at the airport at 9h00 sharp and were expecting the more normal situation where you collect the car from the car hire desk at the airport and from a car hire operator who has a permanent base at the airport; which was also what appeared to be the case based on the car hire voucher that was provided. I have since made several attempts to contact bookinggroup.com. I have phoned them several times but have never got beyond a long phone queue. I have also emailed them several times and each time get a reply saying that they will answer in max. 10 business days, but have never had an answer. Although I note that they were quick to respond to emails at the time that the booking and payment were being finalised.
Car Rental in Costa Rica
I reserved a car to be picked up at the rental car company ACE in Alajuala, San Jose Airport. The ACE Company told me, that that booking is not in their system so they could not provide me with a car. Even on the next day it was not possible. So I had to book a very expensive car from another company spontaneaously to get one at all.
I called and wrote to the customer service to refund the prepaid amount that was due at time of booking. After 4 weeks of investigation and plenty of emails later, they pointed on their non-refund policy, because they can not be taken in charge for any local mistakes that are made by the rental companies. Well...this is fraud.
NEVER USE www.bookinggroup.com - they will steal your money.

I booked a car via bookinggroup.com in Madrid. When I arrived at the car rental they didn't find me in their system. The employee didn't even know about bookinggroup.com.
Have had to get a lot more expansive car and have never seen my pre-paid money back. The customer service was no "service" at all. They just told me they won't refund!

Insurance claim for the damage
The worst possible company to go for...They have no means to contact them...only a email which is hardly looked into...When the sole purpose of claims is not looked into, then there is no point buying insurance from these people.They have no concerns & Imagine if i had to call these guys for HOPE in an emergency...VERY BAD & and a BIG NO from my side...very Disappointed.
They charged me for the cancellation
I booked car through the website www.bookinggroup.com and paid the deposit, but after couple of hours I cancelled my order, ‘coz the company had only bad reviews. After several weeks I noticed that they haven’t refunded as well as they charged me for the cancellation. I called them and argued, but they refused to return cancellation fee, ‘coz it was mentioned on the terms and conditions. I tried to find this info, but it was hidden somewhere on the website. Not recommended company. Post your reviews about it.

8 months later after the events which had occurred to me, the company E-autoprokat has remembered about me (my previous review stimulated their reaction ). Suddenly I was called by the manager Oksana. She couldn’t control her excitement, and words were full of empathy. Much has been told: that she was committed to the company’s reputation, that the company was her pride and the company's pain was her pain.
I was moved deeply.
A sequel followed, from which it was clear that there were companies who did not care about their customers (but it was not my case, of course), but there were caring, there were those that can accept their mistakes, and there ... Etc.
I almost cried.
In the end I have been informed that three days prior to this call ALMOST ALL debt amount has already been transferred me. No losses compensation, but the debt itself. And I, in turn, must remove the description of the case in the internet.
I’ve promised I would think after I get the money.
A week passed. No money appeared. Then they sent a scan picture with a check for the return of the half of the amount and dated 5 days later the call date. After another 3 days half of the money came to my bank account. Apparently, the second half of the money was considered as a donation from a grateful client. And this despite the fact that I wrote, and decleared that I needed all of my money, not a "partial refund".
