mail in rebate
I subscribed to Media com the beginning of this year. I was supposed to get a $75.00 rebate. I sent in all the information they asked for and I am still waiting on the rebate. It says I have met the requirements but I am pending final review. It has been 3 months! How long does a review take?

scam
I signed up for internet, well thought I did. I was talked to death and giving all this false information. I'm still waiting on my email with the details on it. While I was talking I had a feeling something wasn't right so I gave false information just in case. I will be reporting you all and getting my lawyer involved. This is ridiculous. I'll never get the modems I see.
xfinity comcast blast bundle package.
I ordered this through comcast and received a call from bridgevine.com phishing for personal information and telling me I must make a deposit of $50.00 to $100.00 to keep my cable/internet service. The rep. also ask for my full social security number to do a credit check on me. I refused and hung up and called Comcast customer service and with no surprise it's a scam through bridgevine.com. The scam phone number they called from is [protected]. Oh, and I've been with comcast since 2006.

Is Bridgevine Legit?
Bridgevine earns a trustworthiness rating of 91%
Highly recommended, but caution will not hurt.
We found clear and detailed contact information for Bridgevine. The company provides a physical address, 2 phone numbers, and 2 emails, as well as 3 social media accounts. This demonstrates a commitment to customer service and transparency, which is a positive sign for building trust with customers.
However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:
- We detected that bridgevine.com is missing an SSL certificate, which is a cause for concern. Without an SSL certificate, the website may not be taking adequate steps to protect users' sensitive information. This can increase the risk of intercepted data being used for malicious purposes.
- Bridgevine protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.
- The website belonging to Bridgevine has a low number of visitors, which could be a red flag for users. However, it's important to conduct additional research to fully evaluate the website's legitimacy and trustworthiness.
bridgevine via spectrum never sent the prepaid visa card that was promised
Bridgevine via Spectrum never sent the prepaid visa card that was promised.
I am sure other Spectrum had or will be experiencing this issue such as a couple of my friends. I signed up with Spectrum for their triple play service and was promised to get a $75 prepaid visa cash card. After satisfied the service requirement, I claimed the the $75 prepaid card via Spectrum website. Received an email from Bridgevine that it will ship the $75 prepaid card to me. Never received it. Spoke with a couple of Spectrum Representative and they told me to follow up with Bridgevine as Spectrum does not see any issue because I satisfied the requirement of having active service for 90 days and claimed the reward. Spectrum Rep also informed me that Bridgevine is able to see their system. Made many attempts to contact Bridgevine during business hours (9am-5pm EST because the phone number is for an office in Georgia), but no one ever pickup the phone. Left voicemails and sent email. Still have not receive my $75 prepaid cash card. It seem they signup some contract with the companies to do rebates but Bridgevine never honor the rebates. Will contact BBB and local representative to see what can be done to stop company like Bridgevine from ripping off customers.
Could not delete this post, otherwise I would delete it.
Please ignore the previous post. Bridgevine Rep got back to me and resolved the issue.
price for service from comcast not what was sold by bridgevine
I ordered Comcast internet service through Bridgevine through their online site today for $34.99 for six months. I received an order confirmation that confirmed the total charges from Bridgevine for the advertised promotion price of $34.99. The invoice clearly states that there are no charges for equipment and professional installation.
Several hours later, I received an email confirmation from Comcast that now has a recurring monthly lease fee of $7.00 for the modem, and $25.00 for installation. Not a great deal of money, but I hate being scammed!
Called Comcast, and after holding for a rep for nearly an hour, was informed that the charges would be $68.33 as stated by the Comcast invoice, and not the $34.99 total as stated by the Bridgevine invoice.
I then proceeded to call Bridgevine and was told "the web site is still under construction", and they can not do anything about the bogus site.
Bridgevine is clearly a scam. I am also now very concerned since I foolishly provided my DOB and SS#.
Comcast is duplicitous in this as well. Comcast surely knows full well that this authorized reseller is engaged in fraud, yet they continue to accept and process orders from Bridgevine. I will be including a copy of complaint along other information I've found regarding Bridgvine to the Office of the President of Comcast.

cannot find rebate form
They promised free cable modem and free wireless router for ordering comcast internet service. I ordered the modem and router last week, but there is no rebate form in the shipment, and I cannot find the rebate form on their website.
Is this cheating?
rebate
Do not trust offerwire!
As you will see on this site, there are 40 complaints of fraud & not honoring rebates!
I too trusted offerwire, I had them sign me up for a triple play package with time warner 12/11.
This promotion was to give me $150 rebate. I did everything they told me to do & more!
It's now been over 7 month since I made my order, 6 calls, 3 emails & now I get no response!
This is even after they tell me a supervisor (bernedette bertrand) will call me within 24-72hrs, it's now been over 5 days since that lie! When I check with time warner, i'm told there was no reason that my rebate was denied & I should have received it!
Like I said "do not trust offerwire"!

I ordered Comcast starter bundle through Bridgevine for 74.99. I called the number [protected] per bridgevine confirmation mail for installation. mail in rebate cheating
While Placing an order they promised for Mail In Rebate Modem. I tried them many times but they said I am going to get in 4~8 weeks. Now they are saying it is already expired. This is the way they are cheating the people without giving what they promised while doing an order.

Offerwire provides buying incetives for companies like Charter Communications, Comcast, Netflex and many others. They provide incentives (rebates) as a reward to subscribing to services or purchasing products. If you see Offerwire or bridgevine anything - RUN!
I made the mistake of ordering Comcast service through Offerwire in January 16, 2011. I realized that it is a pure fraud by Jan 20th.. Called them several times [protected] !
to camcel the order.. No luck! $125 are lost .. No refund, no rebate, I canceled my credit card right away! Planning to report www.fbi.gov/scams-safety/fraud

this company is fraud
I ordered my cable TV and internet service through a company called Comcastspecial.com (a Bridgevine affiliate). they offered $150 rebates for "Double Play" and $49.95 for modem and $50 for the router. Sounds like a good deal. The rebate forms state it takes about 8-10 weeks to process.
In fact, after I submitted the rebates in March, half year passed, they are still not paying. Rebates changed to "Invalid".
I called a "third party" rebate processor for them "rebateHQ.com". Everytime, they asked me to check back after 10 business days. After more than another month, I called Offerwire.com directly. They confirmed all my paperworks were submitted correctly.
I called today, they told me my order with them is not valid. They are scam. Comcast should be ashamed doing business with this company.
I have some suggestions:
1. Can someone gether more signature to file a class complain to sue them for puntive damage. Obviously from posts here and other websites, you can tell there are plenty of victim of their fraud.
2. File complains with the local BBB.
http://www.seflorida.bbb.org/
3. Post your experiences online to let more and more people know;
4. Never give up, fight until you get your money or Bridgevine goes bankrupt.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
What's worse is it's apparently expired now, how unfair is that? Now I can really never get my gift card!
I understand what you're going through. I just called their customer service due to the same problem and she had a real attitude problem, telling me that I was in the wrong, that I did not do what I was supposed to do. I would never recommend this company to my own worst enemy.

their rebates are scam
As a lot of other complains, I ordered Comcast services from an online site, Comcastspecial.com. They offered to me some rebates. The company handles the rebates is called "OfferWire", it is created by a FL company called "Bridgevine". After almost half year (instead of the 8-10 weeks the form said), I got a postcard saying my rebates are "invalid". When I tried to call them, I was put on hold for long time. "Please call us back after 10 business days". When I called back after more than 2 weeks, they told me, the review request was submited only a couple of days ago, "please call us back after 10 business days". I waited patiently for another two weeks, after being put on hold for more than 10 minutes, I was told again "please call back after a week or so".
My questions are:
1. Why Comcast associates with such a scam company (OfferWire, or Bridgevine.com)? Or, is Comcast a part of the scam?
2. What kind of help we can get from either from our legal system or from the some consumer protection organiztions (BBB for example)?
3. Next time, when you order services from whoever, please ask whether the rebates are going to be handled by Offerwire. If the answer is yes, don't order the services unless you don't care whether you could receive the rebates.
Please call Comcast, we are not happy they are associated with this scam company

stonewalling rebate applications
Offerwire = Awful Liars
This company signs you up for service with Comcast. It sells you a cable modem and a wireless router and offers you a rebate if you send them several items of information, proofs of purchase, and documentation, including a copy of 2 months of your Comcast bill.
Even if you pay Comcast for two months and send Offerwire a copy of the bill, it claims it cannot "Honor" the rebate because it does not have a copy of the bill. Failure to honor the rebate offer is a great choice of words because it is obvious this company has no intent to operate in an ethical fashion. Instead, it will stonewall you until the offer expires.
Stay Away from Offerwire and Bridgevine. These companies are just scam artists. They have no intention of honoring their rebate offers. The sooner they are out of business, the better it is for the general public. Shame on Comcast for partnering with these unscrupulous losers.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Offerwire scam - affiliate of Charter Communications
I filled their forms correctly, submitted all the supporting documents on time...still no sight of rebate. They have no intention of paying, status says "pending final review by offerwire". This after several emails back and forth for a month and 3 months after signing up with Charter.
This is beginning to reflect on Charter's credibility, in fact Charter may even be complicit in this.
Take your paper work and drop a copy in City Attorney's office. Don't let Offerwire, Bridgevine get away with this.

I have the same problem. After 5 months they now say my rebate is invalid. Reason: installation/initiation date out of rebate offer date (totally false the service was ordered right away).
Scammers. And I think Comcast is in it keeping Offerwire/Bridgevine as front.
Offwire is ridiculous. I just recently received my modem and jumped on the internet to get right on my rebate. To make a long story short I have yet to completely figure it out...that's what sent me here. Looking for some answers because their customer service is an automated machine - so helpful, NOT! If you want a headache and you have plenty of time sure, go ahead and order cable and get your free modem that is such a hassle to recover the rebate. BTW, the rebate comes on a card and they charge you $15.00 to ship the modem. After all this I've realized that I already have a modem at home. Damn.
Follow Up: Issue Resolved. Check received today.
Well I waited and sure enough I got two notices from each of the rebates (Modem and wireless Router) saying that they refused my rebate because I did not have an order number. Long story short, I sent every piece of paperwork I received from them, plus I called the rebate number before I sent it out to ask specifically "which is the order number?" because there were so many numbers between Bridgevine, Offerwire and Comcast. His response was he didn't know and to just send everything. So I did and I was still refused.
Fortunately I found an email address on another complaint board that someone else posted saying this person took care of his issue. I contacted this person about comcasts refusal even before I was refused the rebate and explained the whole situation and was told to wait and see what my next bill was with comcast, and to wait for the rebates. She said they were received and being processed. OK sounds good right? Then I get my rebate refusal letters.
So I emailed this person back with a very detailed and threatening letter stating that I can see I was scammed and that I was going to start a law suit against them and comcast. That I fulfilled everything asked of me and more. That I believed they were playing a numbers game knowing most people won't go the the trouble of law suites etc. But that I was fully prepared to take this to the end at whatever expense because now it was not about the money, but about principle.
The follow up emailed informed me that they were sending a check out then, with an additional amount to cover the difference between the promised $19.95 per month and the amount Comcast was actually charging me.
I received the check today and I am going to assume it will clear the bank without issue.
I appreciate the additional amount which I am going to consider payment for the hours of research, phone calls, emails, online chats etc. that I had to go through to get this simple issue resolved. This does not in any way change my feeling about the business practices of this company. If they want to save their name and reputation. It will need to be done with good old fashion customer service and much better communications with customers as well as with all of their affiliates. Customer service is something this company is sorely lacking because of poor management, or intentional avoidance.
I am dealing with similar issues with them. I have not sent in my rebate forms yet, they will be sent out today. However, Comcast is refusing to honor the $19.99 a month promotional rate that offerwire gave me. I have email confirmation that I showed to Comcast and they still refuse to honor this deal saying they do not offer that rate. I have spent over 3 hours on the phone with Comcast, spent time in their online chat with an analysis, been to their office and tried to contact offerwire with no luck. The number I was given has been disconnected. I got the number from the rebate department who claims they have nothing to do with offerwire. Everyone wants to pass the buck.
So my advise is unless you want to spend endless hours filling out forms, talking on the phone and emailing DO NOT USE OFFERWIRE!
I will post back when I either get my rebate, or not.

equipment rebate scam
Beware! Don"t do any business with bridgeviner or time warner. Time are desperate but these people are a bunch of crooks and time warner is no better because they allow this scam to take place.
I looked on line to get internet service from time warner. I called the number but in reality I was calling bridgevine. They never said they were not time warner. They explained that they were going to charge $114 for the equipment but there was going to be a $100 rebate. I have been waiting since may and it's now august. I have submitted all the paperwork requested but the promotion has been denied many times.
The way it works is like this:you get the cost of the equipment charged to your credit card by bridgevine but to get the rebate you have to submit an invoice for the purchase that you've never received and will never get. (from bridgevine)
So if you have already been scammed by these creepy and dark, blood sucking creatures, call your credit card company and ask to open an investigation immediately. You have 60 days from the date of the charges. It's too late for me I found out today. Good luck!

Time Warner does not require the modem to be purchased, there is a small monthly charge for rental tucked into their normal billing. I know this only because I have found myself in your same position. OfferWire (aka Bridgevine) mis-represented the $50 modem purchase (prior to rebate) as REQUIRED by Time Warner to purchase high-speed internet. This is completely untrue per Time Warner they supply the modems. I am currently refuting the charge on my credit card (the credit card THEY SAID was required by Time Warner to secure credit - I was told point-blank it would NOT be charged, the modem would be billed). What can be done to stop such a frudulent company?
shady tactics/fine print tactic
Front page of offer says one thing, "Features" says two different things! and if you go ahead with this. you will be routed to comcast and will actually get hooked on to a third offer that has nothing to do with the rates mentioned here. See attached image!
Comcast guys are helpless and they have to bear all the customer's ire because of these [censored] like braodbandnational/bridgevine and comcastoffers.com...ultimately comcast folks will try to get a cheap rate for you (as much as possible without swindling you) and thats what you'll end up with...i havent even touched the rebate part yet coz its been plentifully covered by other folks who got swindled...this is exactly the kind of "fine-print" marketing that the government is targetting to get rid of...hope it works!

rebate-$40
I purchased a D-Link Wireless Router in January 2009, BV Order#108730. I have submitted required proof of purchase 4 times and have yet to receive my $40 rebate. Also, the router was defective and I had to go through numerous hours and testing on the phone before I could get a Return # for it to be replaced. I now finally have a working router, but it's almost 6 months since I purchased it from Bridgevine and have yet to receive my rebate. It was ordered online. I have submitted the e-mail with the confirmation and above order #, the packing slip, a copy of my Visa statement where it was charged, and the $40 Mail-In Rebate Form. The last time I mailed the information was June 2, 2009. I have tried to track my rebate status and Bridgevine has no record of it. I do not intend to submit it again, but I do intend to contact the Better Business Bureau if I don't receive my rebate of $40 very soon.

not honoring rebate
I ordered cable services for Comcast online. I was promised a rebate for ordering the triple deal. When I submitted my first month bill as instructed, I received an email first, then a postcard stating that my Comcast rebate was invalid because the receipt submitted was dated prior to the qualifying offer. This is not true, however I am diheartened after reading the numerous other complaints on your site. Not sure if submitting this complaint will do any good, but it may save someone else from being defraud.

When I signed up for Comcast through Bridgevine, they had told me it would take a while for the rebate to arrive. I am a patient man and I know they say they are busy but after 3 months I contacted them to find out where it was. They then told me that I had 90 days and was so I had missed my time to file.
This filing thing is stupid, they have all my information but it would be too easy for them to send out the rebate. They make people file so that mistakes can be made and deadlines can be missed and then they do not have to pay out.
I lost a $275 rebate and a free router.
AVOID BRIDGEVINE or record all your conversations with them because their story changes once you sign up with them.

rebate fraud
I wish I had read some of these testimonials about this company before I ordered cable service from them. They promoted a $50 rebate offer but then make the conditions of actually getting it totally impossible to fulfill. I ordered the service in late January, had the cable installed sometime in February (took forever/Time Warner stinks too), I am supposed to have the rebate form postmarked 3/31/09, but service has to be on for 60 days first. Anyone see a problem with this? After that they will rush the rebate out in 10-16 weeks for processing. Give me a break...when is this company going out of business? Soon I hope.
I am always skeptical of rebates but this one is a patent scam. My cable service is also much more expensive than the offered price...due to equipment rental fees. Dishonest business should not be allowed to flourish. Bridgevine is a joke and should be shut down. Unlike Google's motto "Don't be Evil, " I think Bridgevine's is "Lets lie, cheat, and steal and hope no one notices."

fraudulant practices
I ordered cable through with an offer of a rebate of $125.00. when I received the rebate form, it stated that it expired 3/3/09. I did not contact bridgevine until 2 weeks after that date and they never told me that it was too late. They told me how to get form and just told me that I needed to have it installed prior to 3/31/09. which I did. I was supposed to mail the first bill in with the form, however, when I received the form I then learned that it had expired. After going on line to check on bridgevine, I. found numerous complaints about the same thing or similar

I agree wholeheartedly. Bridgevine engages in business that borders on fraud and criminal bait-and-switch. All efforts to get it resolved are a dead end, usually requiring you to start all over - and end up with nothing.
I moved to Ojai mid-June, and took advantage of an opportunity to get Cable and Internet via Time Warner. I saw an ad that promised rebates, including the cost of a wireless router and $100 rebate on service. I had to get the service through Bridgevine (or OfferWire) - which I did, and it had to be done before the end of June, and it was. The only other aspect was you needed to have 2 months service before filing for the rebate. So I waited, and then sent in all the appropriate paperwork and receipts.
A full month later, I received a post card saying "we could not honor your request due to the following reasons" - "Installation and Activation of your service was nolt within the specified time of the rebate."
This was a baldfaced lie, and I have the paperwork to prove it. I phoned to complain, and a "supervisor" said that she had been missing some information, but now that I gave it to her, it would be OK. Several weeks later, I received another pair of post cards, "invalidating" my rebates for the same phony reason. I called again, spoke to yet another supervisor. She said that Time Warner didn't get back to them. -- Time Warner didn't get back to them?! And I'm supposed to believe this? I have copies of the receipts! What do they need Time Warner for anyway?
Well, now it's gone to one of these phony "I work for Bridgevine" people who want to help me. Except it's just one more person who is non-responsive and a liar.
I plan to complain directly to Time Warner, since they indirectly enable or authorize Bridgevine. Maybe if enough people complain, Bridgevine will have to find an honest way to make money.
Until then, I can't urge you strongly enough: Stay away from them. Their offer sounds too good to be true because it isn't true.
M Janover
I ordered Qwest DSL May5, 2009, received a thank you letter from Qwest on May 08, 2099. I installed the DSL on May 08, 2009. Sherry McVane contacted me and told me how to print out the Offerwire Rebate form, which I did, and gathered all the necessary info that was required, and it was posted in the 90 days of the service (received 7/07/09) order date. The rebate only valid with with the purchase of Qwest residential service on or after, offer expires 5/31/2009 and redemptions must be postedmarked within 90 days of service date. Service must be activated before 6/30/2009 to qaulify. This is what was on the rebate form.
So, what happened to the rebate? I received a post card from Bridegevine, stating that installation and activation of my service was not within the specfied time. Now, I suppose to resubmit this card and and validating information to them be 9/9/09. GREAT! I got back from vacation and to find this after the date of 9/9/09. So now what do I do?
All the correct info was sent the first time, and in my opinion was't processed correctly. I should have expected this, as after ordering the DSL I contacted Bridgevine, several times and was told the order was canceled. I f that is so, then who sent the installation kit and modem.
I really think that there should be somewhere we can go to have this matter settled and quickly. I also think that representatives give out confusing information, and are not in my experience very custer service oreinted. There were several that I thought were jsut plane rude!
IF there is help out there to solve this matter, I'm all ears!
