Unnecessary tree cutting
Early July a crew was working on a pole behind the house next door on the opposite side of the lane. For no apparent reason a large amount was cut from a tree, branches left blocking the garage, no informing me of the cutting (found the next day), no cleanup and cut branches left in the tree and continuing to drop from the tree (the most recent Nov 7). Numerous phone calls and promises that I would be contacted and have not heard from them.
I would like an explanation of why branches nowhere near the work site were moved, why I was not informed (I was home and the crew saw me in and out of my house) and why the mess was not cleaned up (2.5 large yard bins of material).
Illegal hydro lines
the home owner George Uzelac at 11147 Brooks Rd, Deroche has installed 3 hydro poles by hand in very rocky terrain. They are less then 3 feet in depth and located in a creek overflow area. The poles broke in our last ice storm for the same reason. The poles are braced with 2x4s. Lines were not installed by electrician and a permit was not pulled. Highly recommend looking at it before connecting the line to the hydro service pole. Technical Safety BC contacted.

Desired outcome: removal of lines due to safety concerns and fire hazard
Power disconnected without notice for non payment of bill in spite of trying to pay on line.
I was recently disconnected from Hydro for not paying my bill. I tryed to arrange for paying on line. Obviously, that only applied to new charges. I think at least I should have been contacted by phone before being disconnected. I wanted to pay my bill, and would have gladly paid before being disconnected. I paid by credit card, and was re-connected, but with a fee.
Desired outcome: Would appreciate not having to pay the fee, but at least would like to see that Hydro changes the policy of disconneftig without notice

customer service
BC Hydro is billing me incorrectly for addresses occupied by tenants.
BC website is not working.
BC customer service is very slow and the agents are poorly trained.
Although I have owned 540 Rithet Street in victoria for 30 years,
BC hydro refuses to talk with me about errors in my profile and their errors in billing.
I phoned and spoke to someone who said the business area could look after my needs better. The business area could not get past the fact that they had my property manager's email instead of mine.
I could not wait another hour for BC Hydro to answer the phone again.
Desired outcome: stop making billing errors, fix your website, fix my profile
Contractors replacing poles
On march 23 contractors of bc hydro showed up in our alley. There was no notice provided. This resulted in no power for the day. During their work they cut or damaged the Adam line to my home. They didn't talk with me about it. They did not repair it. Instead they looped the wire and taped it.
I called bc hydro who apologized but did nothing. I have now bee without service for Adam for a week. With everyone pointing fingers. This is a cluster and extremely frustrating as the telecom company keeps saying it must be my modem. And on and on.
electricity/utility service
BC Hydro has terrible customer service (and utility services...I have had at least 4 unexplained outages in the past year - that I know of). Every time I have contacted them regarding an issue, after waiting on hold for 20-30 minutes..the staff are incredibly apathetic and genuinely seem to not give a [censored]. They have a monopoly and they certainly act like it. I really hope we can all get off their grid and/or some competition comes to knock them off the high horse that they seem to think they're riding on - a horse paid for in customer dollars that is.
customer crisis fund
I have just been reading up on this customer crisis fund and am wondering how this company is allowed to kust charge their customers whatever they want for people who can not pay their bill...I never signed up for this extra charge on my bill as I struggle enough to pay my own bills...I have been in crisis with them and lived 5 months without hydro whole I tried to come up with the money after a separation. ..this is unfair and a violation of my rights I am looking into further legal action and I will NOT pay this extra charge they added on my bill. .I will pay my bill but will forever leave that charge on there there's no way I'm paying that..any they just do this because there is no other hydro company so what are we to do..something MUST be done
continuous power outages february 1st.
After several outages my oven in the electric range did not work. After troubleshooting the repairman has come to the conclusion that the control board may have had a high voltage or cycles that may have damaged the control board and is considering ordering a control board for my oven or having me purchase a new electric range. I feel this is your responsibility to provide me with a solution to this problem.

no billing
Spent over 6 months trying to get a bill. Usually received a bill every 2 months. This stopped after January payment. Have contacted BC Hydro repeatedly and no one answered the question of Where is the bill? June 1 received the bill with 6 months of service billed. Poor customer service.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
