nasty treatment
Clerk didn't give me the proper change back. When I confronted the clerk she got the manager by my request however the manager PAM was so nasty. She refuse to help me at all. She even was yelling and saying good/bye when everything was on the receipt. This business get away with rudeness because they are privately owned just nasty!
will not cover warranty
Same complaint as others... Bp shingles do not live up to their warranty... Have been fighting for our warranty since july 2014, and found out today that they will not cover our warranty as we did not replace our garage roof shingles with the same product... Dah... Why would we replace 25 year warranty shingles from bp that only lasted 11 years with the same #-for-shingles... That is just stupid.. So I am going to take action... discrimination/rudeness
My son who is a 21 year old union laborer went into this station to cash his check after work. He is a clean cut, clean shaven young man and had proper ID with his address matching the address on his check. The Middle Eastern man in the store told my son he could not cash his check and when my son asked why he was told "you look like trash"

defective bp organic shingles
There is a class action lawsuit but BP has no intention of reimbursing the clients. No matter how many photos you send, and the shingles are clearly lifting and not even 1/2 way through their 25 year warranty, BP will find an excuse not to reimburse me. It is now going to a third party/dispute/tribunal process for them to come out and make a final decision. Every photo I sent (146 total) was unacceptable, them they said the attic wasn't up to code (which it is). Any and all excuses have been tried.

Had my in car phone charger stolen so thought I would buy one of those new 8 in 1 multi connections to charge my Nokia phone. Purchased for 30$ and opened packet and tried it in my car before leaving. It didn't work yet on the pack said it had the proper connection for Nokia phones. My complaint is about the BP Gas station on the corner of Metropolitan and Vandervoort Avenue in Brooklyn, NY.
The customer service there today was just horrible. I am a regular customer and usually very familiar and friendly with the staff on the premises. However, earlier this morning I purchased $45 worth of Lotto Tickets. I didnt bother to check to make sure the tickets are complete because they are usually very coordinated with everything they do there.
However, upon getting to work and giving the staff the lotto tickets, I realized that I was $5 short of my tickets. I had to go back to inform them that I have missing tickets. Maybe it wasnt printed out with the rest. Maybe it was trashed by mistake because I was also never given the lotto receipt of my purchase. Maybe the guy just didnt print it. They werent trying to help me figure these problems effectively.
One of the guys on staff said he will go and check the camera. But what does the camera reveal besides showing he gave me tickets? It doesnt show the qty of tickets given or the exact amount of tickets that were printed during my transaction.
During this 10:30am shift, that is when the guy began attacking me saying they are not thieves. I purchased another $5 worth of tickets and told the guys I didnt want to talk about it because I was upset and didnt want anything to escalate. However, your BP worker continued to scream at me and embarrass me within the store. He kept screaming at me saying they dont have my tickets and they are not thieves instead of trying to figure out how the $5 worth of tickets can be missing.
The other worker there told him to just forget about seeing that I wasnt trying to escalate a fight, but that particular worker wanted to antagonize me. When I told him I didnt want to hear it or talk about it anymore, he screamed at me stating, "Well I am still talking!" Although I wanted to just grab all the gum & candy on the counter to slap him with it, that is when I called him an ### and walked out of your store!
I have never been soo humiliated in my life! I have never experienced such horrible customer service in retail or anywhere else to be precise! If this is how your representatives are trained, many of your stations will shut down very easily! There is no customer who deserves to be treated the way I was treated this morning!
I surely hope you appeal to the staff that works at the Metropolitan & Vandervoort BP Gas Station.
OK... Most people check the tickets before they leave.
That said, If they were that rude then I would suggest you never go to them again.
Either way, I find it hard to believe that you did not raise your voice and he just started yelling at you.

I have been buying 1 Gallon water bottles for the entire summer sometimes 6+ a day for me and my employees for the last 2 years. Today, when I went inside there was a new employee, I took the bottle and he scanned before the other person was asking him not to, When it scanned it was $1.71 per bottle when I paid $2.13 a bottle for over 2 years because they never scanned it. I know its only $0.42 a bottle but the fact that there are theives working there is driving me crazy. I never liked BP after the spill but now theres no way I am ever going back to shop at any BP in my life. If I run out of gas infront of BP I will push my car to another station rather than dealing with thieves. I will tell every customer I have what BP lets its franchisees to do. BP, You should be ashamed of yourself.

contaminated gas
I am a friend of a disabled woman whose car was affected by the bad BP gas. BP has hired a company by the name of Sedgwick to take care of the claims. The disabled woman contacted BP only to lied to . The disabled woman got all documentation into Sedgwick that was needed then was told that just one more thing was needed and when she provided that one thing then Sedgwick told her that they still needed more. I am here to say as witness that this is all a joke to the poor people that got the bad gas. I don't think that BP will write one check to help the people that lost their cars. The disabled woman that I know, her car was totaled because ot the gas. The cars engine and fuel pump went bad and she had to junk it for a couple hundred dollars. Although this disabled woman proved that her car was damaged Sedgwick told her that they will now have to locate the car and inspect it. As I have said it is all a joke. There are people that are taking there cars to local mechanics only to have BP not pay the claim and their cars are still sitting at the mechanics shop after all this time.. An oil spill is one thing but a car is another and is the second most valuable thing that a person buys throughout their lives other than a home. And for BP to do people like this is unthinkable. I personally will not ever buy gs from BP and I truly believe that once they inspect my disabled friends car that BP (Sedgwick) will not pay her. Not because the claim is not true but because they will again lie and say that they found something else wrong which lead to the damage. my disabled friend even went as far as submitting a receipt for June 2012 that shows absolutely nothing was wrong with the car. It s all a big fat joke.
No the friend being disabled has to do with BP not allowing the reasonable accommodations under the law that would replace her now ruined car.
Today 9/11/11 I stoped to get gas seeing the price sign that showed $3.62. That was a good price untill I stared to fuel up and notice the price was $3.70 so instead of fueling up I stop pumping gas. Went inside and complainted. What a rip off !

Yeah, I think your right, I have purchased BP gas for years in Indiana, which is 5 min from my house, I too got a bad batch, and after spending close to 2, 000 dollars, and I still have some issues, with my car, I heard of the bad gas, I knew it was the gas, becasue my car which normally never gave me a problem begin to shake and stop, would not start, or would start and cut off, at will. I contacted the claim service, and was told, to send in all my documents, which I did, my car was fixed by me, because I need a car for work and school. I sent my receipts, from the shop I had my car fixed at, my title and all other documents requested, then I was told that I was choosen for verification, ok, so I waited, Oh and I was told that I would receive something in the mail, that I still have not gotten to this day. Finally I requested this document be faxed over to me. I was then told "Oh your file was given back to me, so I just need to verify with the mechinic" OK so the mechinic told me " I've talked with the lady, and everything is ok, well not so fast, this women then told me " Oh we need so much more from the Mechinic, we need to know his w2 number, and we need to see how much money he spent on your parts, because he could have spent less then what he charged you. and Then we would have to ask him for this money back? WHAT MONEY BACK, YOU DID NOT PAY ANY MONEY I DID. Further the mechnic bookkeeper has the records for tax time which is starting now. so he has to wait on him to get them back to him, oh and he happened to be on vacation, not to mentioned she waited til Nov 30 to ask for these documents. further, the mechinic has been paid for the work he did, so do you actually think he is concerned with my getting the receipts for parts? I think this is screw the consumer royally. I saw what I was charged for parts, and It was not that expensive. I did not have a problem with the cost of parts, labor maybe. but that was his fee. I dont think I will see a dime of my money. and I think your right, I'm thinking of filing a class action suite against BP myself. And they have lost a life long BP gas buyer.
rampart shingles
The roof was done 10 years ago, the shingles are already curling. The rampart shingles we choose was Midnight blue. After contacting my roofing contractor, he recommended that I open up a claim.
I notice a couple a weeks ago that I had pieces of shingles on my BBQ, was wondering why thats why I called my roofing contractor.

So on Sunday morning, 13/05/2012 @ 09h25, I went to BP, Mitchell's Plain in AZ Berman Drive to fill my tank. My request was for R200 worth of unleaded petrol. The attendant did as I asked and then I handed him my garage card to pay for my purchase. To my surprise I got 3 notifications on my cell phone for funds being debited on my account, however the attendant only came back with 1 slip. I immediately went to the "person in charge" who politely told me that that they have a problem with the paper in their machine and swiped it thrice in order for them to generate a receipt for me to sign. I was very upset as you can imagine as it was Mother's day and I planned on taking my family out for lunch, however this was now impossible as I was short by R400. When I asked the "person in charge" to give me my R400 back, as I showed him the notifications on my cell phone he told me to come back with a bank statement.
I am now inconvenienced by having to go to my bank to collect a bank statement, pay for the statement, pay the service fee for the funds that went through my account and use money to get to the bank? How is that fair to me as a customer?

i started working for bp gas station on 12-28-11 the first few days were great but i noticed there was a lot of gossip between the workers, i stayed out of it and did what i was suppose to do, the way i was told to do it. 4 days into the job i got a call from the manager saying "it wasn't gonna work out, and to turn my uniform in and get my check the following day" i was in shock because i had no idea what i did wrong. later that day my friend went up to the gas station think she would see me, and of course i wasn't there and ask why. the workers sat there and told her that i got fired because i was a "lazy piece of ### worker" and so on. i don't think its any of their business why or how i got fired and really shouldn't be talking about it. it was very unprofessional in my eyes.
thank you for your comment and input on the situation. i was in shock for awhile just because i have never been fired for no reason, but it is someone to laugh at. two days later i got hired for a managers position at a fast food restaurant, its kinda sad that they are more professional then the gas station.

went into the station and the attendant was very rude. sign on the pump said that you had to prepay. he said that it would not be necessaryt because i was using my credit card to pay. i told him that it involved and discount card tied in with a food store and he told me to just slide it. it did npot work so i wnet back in and he told me to go out and do it again and it would work. i proceeded to do it again and it pumped the gas but didn't take my discount card. went in to complain and he got nasty with me and told me there was nothing he could do to rectify the situation. i paid l $20 more for the gas then i should have and he wouldn't do anything to rectify it.
dirty store floors and bathrooms
Very dirty floors and bathrooms for years at this location.I finally stopped coming but this was a very convenient location.I finally started going to Exxon Mobil AS THE PLACES AT THOSE STATIONS ARE MUCH BRIGHTER AT NIGHT and cleaner in appearance.I was on a trip last year also in 2010 to Omaha, Nebraska And pulled in to BP station as I like the gasolines at route 50 and I-80 before you head east bound into Omaha, Nebraska and I complained to the lady that bathrooms were very dirty around toilet and walls and floors area and floor was sticky and she inspected it and really complained that this was not that bad, yet it was very dirty in appearance.This was BP at route 50 and I-80 location.This was on the west side of Omaha, Nebraska.
