I was charged for Dri Bromalite in the amount of $69.99 for which I did not give consent to. I cannot get in touch with the company as no one answers the phone number my bank provided me with.
If you read the small print on the website when you signed up, it tells you that if you don't call within a certain time period they will charge you and send another order. Did you try [protected]?

I am agreeing, this looks like a scam. When you are signing up for the free trial, you need to really pay attention. At one point during the sign up phase, the page comes up and a box is already checked that you would like to purchase an extra product in addition to your free supply request, so you will need to uncheck that box before continuing. Then if you read the fine print at the bottom you will find that you are signing up for a monthly shipment unless you call within 14 days to cancel it. They make a point to spell out the 69.95 (sixty nine dollars and ninety five cents ) so it doesn't pop out at you, which I think is very shady. Reading further reveals that you are also subscribing to a monthly magazine for an extra fee of nineteen nintey five per month (again spelled out instead of in numerical form) unless you call a different number to cancel that as well. Like mentioned in the above comments, the number they list for you to call and cancel is just a line to put you endlessly on hold.
This has SCAM written all over it!

I experienced this, too. I called the [protected] number and was told that the amount would be credited back to my account within 7 to 14 business days. I will report back if this doesn't happen.

I'm having the same problem with the phone number. What I did was call my bank and dispute the charges. I also put a stop payment on any further charges that they might try to charge to my account. This way I did not have to cancel my card.

Hi Everyone:
Unfortunately I fell for the same scam and only noticed the additional charges amounting to $200.00 on my credit card a few days ago.
I called my credit card company immediately and reported the fraud, they credited my card and canceled my card so that the charges could stop and also are investigating this merchant.
Shame on Parmalab for such a sneaky underhanded means of scamming the public. Like others, I tried their contact numbers and even their website, to air my complaints, not surprisingly, nothing was working!
As for the product, well if you can't trust the merchant, you sure as heck can't trust the product. I have stopped using it!
I've learned my lesson...caveat emptor!

I also signed up for a free trial of Bromalite, and unfortunately came across all of the complaints AFTER I placed my order. I'm planning on canceling my debit card on Monday morning, as it seems no one can reach a live person at the company's phone number. However, I did find the information below on how to cancel the subscription. The number provided is different than the one above, so maybe you guys can reach the company through this number. Hope this helps. Good luck.
"By agreeing to the terms of the Agreement, customer automatically receives 14-day trial to the Program. customer has 14 days to try the Program and decide whether to accept the Program full-time. Prior to the expiration of the 14-day trial period, customer may cancel its subscription by calling Bromalite’s toll-free number at [protected] or writing to Bromalite, 16192 Coastal Highway Lewes, DE 19958. Should customer fail to cancel its subscription, its Subscription with Bromalite will become active and customer will be billed $69.95 on the 16th day after its trial begins and every month thereafter. If customer’s payment is not submitted either by credit card or check within 30 days of the due date, customer’s Bromalite Supply will be suspended. If customer wishes to cancel and not be billed, customer must call [protected] or write to Bromalite, 16192 Coastal Highway Lewes, DE 19958. customer also agrees to monthly billing. customer expressly agrees to honor all charges and fees due. I also understand that I will enjoy a monthly membership to FitFactory where i can track my weight loss and get diet advice for a monthly fee of $19.95 per month billed on the fifteenth day unless I cancell by calling [protected]."

I also fell for the scam. The problem was that I really liked the product. I felt that it did what it promised to do. However when I went to the website to see how I could order the product and discovered how expensive it was and that they were going to automatically charge my card for future deliveries, I tried to call the numbers provided, to cancel any future orders and the Acai number gave a recorded message saying that the number was not an active number, and the bromalite number just rang and rang and no one ever answered. I ended up calling my bank and closing my debit card and blocking all further purchases.
Since I did like the product, I ended up going into a Hi-Health store and asked them if they had anything that was comparable to the Acai berry product. It turns out they they carry the product in their store and it was way less expensive than what was being charged on the Acai website. I can't believe that a company that has such an amazing product, feels the need to scam people in order to sell the product. It doesn't make any sense to me. But in my opinion it is the company that I wouldn't do business with, but the product itself, I will just make my purchases from reputable companies instead.

Yeah, I got suckered too. I called to cancel because I noticed that my free trial also ordered some "power tea" product. So I called to cancel my order and the representative said I would be refunded in 2 to 6 weeks.
Anyways, I cannot call it a scam because the fine print is there. It's just very misleading. That's not a good way to keep customers and/or grow a business.
I should have known better.
Count your losses and I suggest anyone who has purchased anything from this company cancel their credit card/debit card immediately.

I ordered a trial period product and recieved not one but two packages over 10 days later. The confirmation for the product indicated that the product would be shipped within 24 business hours, but this was not the case. In approximateley 15 days later from ordering online I recieved two charges on my account for 69.95. When I called to complain they said I could return one bottle for refund but not the other. When I indicated that I wasn't even able to trial the product they said the terms are listed as they couldn't do anything about them. So I basically got charged for something I didn't effectively get to try or say I did or did not like.

Report these people to your state attorney general. They make it nearly impossible to cancel the future billing for Bromalite and expect you to wait one to two billing cycles for a refund for a supposed FREE TRIAL. Don't forget they also signed you up automatically for FitFactory whether you asked them to or not and to CANCEL you have to call a DIFFERENT telelephone number that you can never get through to !

You cannot call it a scam. You need to read what the website says. You have so many days to cancel the full program or you'll be charged. Its not misleading, its not a scam. Its about taking the time to read things thoroughly. Ever heard of things too good to be true? Unfortunately, this is one of them.
Now not being able to cancel your order as they want you to do so you're not charged, is a scam. Report that. Not what is charged to your CC because you didn't take the time to read everything.

I have spent several hours on hold waiting for a responce. I called the fit factory number and got through to cancel that subscription. If I had read further, it was a continuing charge I never would have agreed. Always in a rush I guess. The fit factory would not give the address for bromalite. As soon as I questioned them about bromalite they repeated the same phone number.
Finally after waitng I got through to bromalite. They would not give me a confirmation number. The responce was the agents code number. Hopefully we will be rid of this company.

I also purchased this product and didn't realize that I was automatically signed up for monthly auto shipments until I got my 2nd bottle in the mail. If it wasn't for this post I would have no idea how to contact these scam artists. I called the number above and was on hold for about 40 minutes. I was about to hang up and dispute the charge to my credit card when they answered.
Just to let you know the product Colontox does the same thing. They advertise $1.00 trial bottle of their product but they have some other products checked on the order page so if don't catch it they send you addtional products you didn't order or want for full price. They provide a an 800 number but never answer, a recording just keeps saying the wait time on the call is 45 minutes or better. I tried to call them immediately after I ordered and spent several hours on the phone trying to reach them to stop the order and sent an email, they never contacted me. I finally called my bank and disputed the charge. A week later I got their merchandise and did a return to sender, did not order as my bank suggested.
What a bunch of sleazy scam artists.

I called the company and canceled my continuation of the product once it was shipped and no problem. Remember it's a trial, so ALWAYS Call once the product is shipped and cancel the automatic charge. I like the product and would like to order at my leisure not on an automatic basis, that is ludicrous!

I feel like such an idiot! I always tell my children to read all the fine print, and if it sounds too good to be true it most likely is! It took me most of the morning (3 hrs.) to cancel with the Bromalite co. (for Accai Power Tea and DRI* Bromalite cleanser). Then I had to call a different number to cancel this "Fit Factory" that i didn't even know i was signed up for... I can't get the charges reversed through my bank because the print was there. AAARRGGHHH! $215.00 it cost me for this mistake.! I wonder if Opra knows they are using her show on this product to advertise their scam! Shame on them! Or should i say shame on me for falling for it!

I CAN'T believe I missed the fine print. The company pisses me off b/c at every step, they try to mislead you. First, the "risk free advertisement" without any warning that you would be enrolled automatically into two different programs (Bromalite & then FitFactory). Second, when I called to cancel the Bromalite program, after waiting forever, the rep tried to tell me that I needed to call a different number (FitFactory) instead of helping me to cancel the Bromalite trial/program. I had to repeatedly tell her that I know that I also need to call FitFactory to cancel my inadvertant enrollment there but that I also wanted to go ahead and cancel my Bromalite. She tried to make it sound like I was not automatically enrolled into the Bromalite program but that I just needed to call to see whether I liked the program AFTER the product arrives.
Just be sure to ask them for a cancellation verification number as well as their name and Rep ID.
Good luck!

I too am having a hard time with this "company"..
I finally stopped my Credit Card, but afraid it was too late as almost $100 has been charged to my CC. I am having a hard time contacting the company, calling, calling...will start again today. They also sent me three bottles and I did not realize the ACI Berry was a part of this company and been charged for this one also. What a rip off and I feel so stupid for being taken!..somebody needs to put this company out of business and take them to court.

Ordered on-line offer for free trial period for only $4.95 shipping. Credit card charged $4.95 - never received anything. My next credit card statement showed the $4.95 charge and another $69.95 charge from this company. I immediately notified my credit card company of a dispute of these charges. Finally got someone on the phone at Bromalite who said they would credit the $69.95 back to my credit card but would not refund the $4.95 because it was "non-refundable" regardless of the fact that I did not receive the product they promised. This is a total scam - do not order from them.

Just to let you know, I was reading more about Bromalite and came across this site. I am glad I did. I contacted the [protected] number and waited about 8 mins and told the lady that I wanted to cancel my trial subscription. She promptly read me my information regarding my account and gave me a cancellation number. I was into my 13th day of my trial. She also told me that I had to personally contact Fit Factory directly [protected] to cancel with them. Was pleased with my call over all, but I will wait to see what happens.
Good Luck to all!

I have just read all of your e-mails and freaked out. So I called the number([protected]) I got a real live person who then extended my trial period 14 more days from today to try the product and cancel by Dec 7. She then lowered the price of the pills to $34.95 a month if I liked it. So I guess I will try and then cancel by the 7 of Dec. Good Luck Everyone

I received my products in the mail on Saturday, including the Bromalite and Acai products - I guess I fell for it, too. Glad I saw all of the complaints, I just cancelled my credit card and had them reissue a new one - pain in the a$%rse to contact all of the auto debit accounts, but at least I hope to avoid some of the fraud I've read about here. Good luck to all!

I read the fine print, ordered my free sample and then immediately called the two numbers to cancel bromalite and fitfactory. I was able to get right through, the Bromalite rep offered to drop the price in half if I didn't cancel! So if you like the product you might be able to get a deal.

I have never heard of this DRI Bromalite before now. I was checking my credit card statement, it said i owe $6.87 on one line, the next line it says i owe $68.24. I'm really pissed with this scam. My credit card company said i should charge them with fraud. I tried to call, but there was no answer. I called the [protected] and [protected]. No answer at either number.

Well I ordered the product on Nov. 17, 2008, to Canada. Still haven't received anything, was charged the shipping and handling. I sent a letter, and I phoned today and talked to a rep. She told me that she extended my trial offer because I was in canada, and I cancelled any future orders. Hopefully I will receive the one order, as I do wish to try it, and no more. I wish that I had done a little more research into this product and all of the complaints that are accompanied with the orders and the charges associated with it. BTY I did read the fine print and cancelled the fitfactory sub. right away. Hopefully its not a problem but she didn't give me a cancellation#.

Thanks for the heads up! I almost ordered and when I read the comments here and I went to their website I realized that they are just a scam. If it really worked they wouldn't have to try to rip people off with their fine print - the product would sell itself! It should be illegal to put in fine print that you are also ordering other things then what you think you are getting. Those of you who have been ripped off need to contact your credit card company immediately and get your money back that way. I got scammed like this a couple of months ago on Pedi-paws website and I got my money back once I called my credit card company.

Just got off the phone with Bromalite...30 minute wait. They charged me 4.95 for each the bromalite and acai slim, then 14 days later, 69.95 and 79.95 and 5 days after that another 69.95 and 79.95. AND, I have 2 charges for 19.95 ea for www.fit-fac.com...haven't gotten in touch with them yet! They would only reverse the last charges. The first they claim was in the fine print and that this was the customers fault for not reading. My rep, Denisha was very nice and you could tell she probably deals with this crap all day. The manager on the other hand was a true "you know what". It's unfortunate because I liked the product. But I choose not to do business with company's that don't run their business with Integrity.
So here is some info I have compiled to make this easier on others since they don't include phone #s or return addresses on there shipments. RED FLAG!
Bromalite/Acai berry - [protected] - hold time is long...hang in there
www.fit-fac.com - [protected]
When they tell you they will not refund your "trial order", you can ask what step to take next and the manager told me I would have to write the company at:
PO Box 2003
Riverton UT 84065
I have also contacted Discover to do an official investigation. It should be illegal for company's to do this to other's. Deception, how do they live with themselves. Lesson learned...NO MORE "FREE TRIALS" AND MOST LIKELY NO MORE INTERNET PURCHASES UNLESS DEALING WITH REPUTABLE VENDORS.

hi I'm in the UK and haven't managed to get hold of them - so far they haven't charged the $69 but it will be coming up soon but what they are doing is every week charging a small amount $4.95 (so far 3 charges are showing on my statement) but when i've tried cancelling the scheme through their "Verify your orders" site it says i don't have an account with them. If i dont' have an account why are they charging me? it doesn't make sense! I can't email them - no email address and their support email which i received after signing up for the free trial won't take replies. No phone number is working - i don't know what to do!

They refused me a refund. They said you have to cancel within 14 days of the order, NOT of receiving item.
I told them I had an allergic reaction and spent the last night in the hospital and that I have paper work. I told them I would post this on the site if I was not refunded. Needless to say, I did get a refund but I think people should be aware that this is potentially dangerous. I ended up very ill due to this stuff.
If you read the small print on the website when you signed up, it tells you that if you don't call within a certain time period they will charge you and send another order. Did you try [protected]?
I agree... The same thing just happened to me..What a scam the crap doesn't even work and I cant get in touch with the company! I have been on hold FOREVER! Im going to contact my states better buisness bureau.

Well now I'm very worried !.I guess I'm one of those''SUCKERS'! I am going to try and call...if that doesn't work, I will cancel my card. I'll be back to let u know. thx to those who shared!
MY ACCOUNT WAS CHARGE ON THE 11/13/8 WHEN I WAS TOLD IT WAS REFUNDED ON THE 11.09.08/M i SPOKE WITH A MAN NAMED BRYANT AT BROMLITE THAT TOLD ME I WAS LIEING AND I COULD NOT SPEAK WITH HIS SUPERVISOR THEY WERE BUSY. HE WENT ON TO TELL ME HE DIDNOT HAVE TIME FOR ME CALL THIS WAS MY FAULT . I HAD SPOKE WITH SYREETA ON 11/15/08 WITH TOLD ME I HAD TO SEND ACK THE TEA I WAS CHARGED FOR AND FAX OVER THE STATEMENT SHOWING I WAS CHARGED. I NEEDED A SUPERVISOR FOR SOME CLARILTY. BRYANT WENT ON TO TELL ME HE DID NOT CARE WHAT I DID WITH THE PRODUCT MY REFUND HAD ALREADY BEEN DONE. i ASKED THAT MY ORDER BOTH OF THEM BE CANCELED. I HAVE NO IDEA IF THAT HAS BEEN DONE OR NOT. I NOW SEE WHY PEOPLE DON'T ORDER ON THE INTERNET.
Good luck!
didn't receive goods waited ages. now got my bank statement and charged twice. tried to call international no but no one picks up. please close this vcompany down. i have now taken it up with my bank.
followed up managed to finally get through after wiating ages the sales lady hung up on me as i asked to speak to her manager . she said that my card was listed as stolen and that i had to take yup charges with my bank. how bizzare when i called her about the charges on my statemnt how can the card be stolen? and she insisted that the goods were not sent because th card was stolen then why did they biull me twice. i wnat this company to close. i threatened her with legal action and said that there are so many commplaints on the internet
same thing happen to me
I too am having a hard time with this "company"..
Well...they got me, I received the power tea ...which I had not ordered .charge of 49.99$ .I didn't read carefully . I am just one of the desperate looking for a miracle to ''LOSE WEIGHT''. Cancelled my credit card not to have future charges. This time I've learned my lesson...no more purchases on-line even.Thx again to all of u who shared their insight on this company.
THANKS FOR THE INFO. i AM AFFRAID TO ORDER DIRECT FROM THEM. iF ANYBODY WANT'S TO SELL ME THEIR EXTRA ACAI BERRY AND BROMOLITE I AM INTERESTED.
