I was charged for Dri Bromalite in the amount of $69.99 for which I did not give consent to. I cannot get in touch with the company as no one answers the phone number my bank provided me with.
This is a SCAM, you charged my credit card without my authorization. I went for the FREE TRIAL Offer SCAM. I will just pay postage for this Free trial offer and then if I like it or it helps me then I will reorder when I want to, not by this compnay automatically charging my credit card. I refuse to be a part of this type of SCAMMING THE AMERICAN PUBLIC/with your FREE TRIAL Offer. Please let me give coments to the company on my behalf. You say everyone is raving about this product, please let me give a coment for this Company. This is what is completely wrong with the web business and advertising. Legimate products and companies are destroyed but this cheap trick of scamming the public. I know that I will not even think about buying anything on line just because of this type of treatment. I will be contacting my Better Business Bureau with this type of fradulant SCAM.

That's not the case at all. Bromalite is constantly busy dealing with people who are trying to get a product for free and then complaining when they didn't read the terms and conditions. You can't blame a company that's trying to make money.
I do agree with you that it's a ripoff, but not a scam. If you people want to lose weight, diet and exercise, if you want to "cleanse your colon", go to a doctor.
You don't' have to follow those steps, Bromalite could care less if the call is being recorded, they are NOT responsible for refunding you your money, it's a courtesy! YOU signed a legal contract and it's NOT the customer service representitive's problem that you all don't read what you sign!

Why do people have to lie about no "checking the box"? The company CAN NOT process your credit card information WITHOUT your consent.
Just admit to your mistake and move on!
YOU DIDN'T read what you signed! We all know that you're just too embarrassed to admit that!

I agree. Everything is listed in the T&C's---its just obvious to read EVERYTHING that you are signing up for. Proactiv enrolls you in a monthy auto-ship (as stated in their T&C's), that catchy 'free credit report.com' tune you hear on TV all the time, yeah, thats not actually free at all (as stated in their T&C's). Nothing is free. Didnt your mothers teach you that? Accept your fail and move on. You will never win a lawsuit; but I'm sure your attorney thanks you ;)

I made the mistake in December of ordering a green tea diet supplement. When it arrived there was a bottle of Bromalite as well as the green tea. Last week I was looking at my credit card statement and there was not only a $69.95 charge from Bromalite but also a $29.95 charge from FitFactory.com (the charge for the green tea was on the card as well). I contacted the fitness site and they said it was authorized through Bromalite. I informed them I was calling the police so they said they would reverse the charge. I contacted my credit card about both charges and did file a police report. Yesterday yet another bottle of Bromalite arrived. I will be giving the address to the police and returning the product that was not ordered. I also will be contacting the credit card company yet again. What can consumers do to protect themselves against this kind of fraud? I know now that I shouldn't have ordered the green tea but it was just tea.

I am doing a fraudulent form against both of these companies and my credit card company has sent me a new credit card. Just call your credit card company and tell them that they used your credit card fraudulently and they will send you a form to fill out.

I ordered my free trial yesterday. I looked at my bank account today. They charged me the $4.95 shipping, which was ok. But there was a separate charge for $34.95. I immediately called the company and told them I wanted a complete refund of the entire $34.95 as I didn't order any tea as they claimed I did.
I decided a few minutes after hanging up with them that I would look at my order online and cancelled my free trial. I just had a feeling that I was going to be in for more trouble than it was worth. I had an online chat with "Jenny", who confirmed my account was cancelled. When asked her to confirm how much was being refunded to me, I couldn't get an answer. She told me to call the 866 number. I did that and got a live person to confirm that both charges and being credited; however, it can take up to 12 days.
Believe me, I will give them no more than 12 days. God help them if there are anymore charges on my account. I guess it's my own fault.

my wife went online saw the add on aol front page and fell hook line and sinker i came home and read all the small fine print and i realized that it was a scam .I then called them and tryed to cancel they said i would have to wait 24 hours till they got the info in there system they didnt wait 24 hours to take 40 dollars out of her account i tryed to caontact them that same night to try and get them to cancel they gave me run around here and there i asked where there headquarters were and they gave me an adress in lewes deleware. i contacted my local bbb and i found the number to the supposed corporate office i called that number and it was some sort of lawyers office and said the lawyer would be in littigation till september. go figure .. i then asked when i called in for the 15th time that and iasked them where they were located and they said they were in michagan and i asked for there adress and i told them i needed to know so i could send the attorney general there and they hung up on me .. i called 3 times nxt night finally there are supposed to cancel and give refund .. given the things i read on this website i dont anticiapte it coming ... i think that everyone who has a complaint should call aol corporate office and cnn to try to get them shut down and investigated. i already started to call and im going to continue untill they are taken out of business.

I had received my "free" Bromalite and there were no diet directions or length of treatment accompanying the bottle, so I googled it to get some info on the safety of Bromalite - that's when I read all of the comments and immediately called [protected]) Bromalite to cancel future shipments. They were courteous & provided a Confirmation No. I then called [protected]) "Fit Factor" to be sure to cancel that, also. They said they have no record of an auto subscription & to be assured that there will be no magazines coming my way (that remains to be seen). I am now trying to contact [protected]) Acai Berry, Advanced Wellness Research, to cancel them, but only get a busy signal. I will continue to call & let you know how that went.
I want to thank everyone for their comments. No literature or contact numbers came along with my "free" 30-day trials and therefore, had it not been for your feedback, I would be lost.
There truly is nothing "free"!
Good Luck!

I called to cancel the Bromalite 14-day trial and customer service did answer after about 25 min of been in hold...I spoke to Mary Lou who verified my info and assured me will process the cancellation. She gave me a confirmation #. I'm cancelling within the 14 day trial period and so far I have only received the $4.95 Shipping Charge, I asked if I could return the product but it seems that there is no return address. The rep told me that for security purposes they weren't able to provide a return address and that I could throw away the product or give it to someone else who wanted to try it. I have this bad feeling that I will be on the same situation as the people who have tried to cancel and they have kept on receiving charges for Bromalite. Does anyone has had a good cancellation experience with these people? I just want to know if they really going to process my cancellation request and I wont be getting billed later on.

I ordered a free sample ($4.95 for shipping) of Bromalite and the next month received a charge for $19.95 US ($25.22CDN) from FIT-FAC.COM in LasVegas, NV and $52.25 US 4(68.17 CDN) charge from Bromalite.
I have had the $19.95 removed from my charge, but have had a difficult time trying to reach Bromalite by phone [protected]. I have tried numerous times calling them, as well as trying to get another contact number as couldn't reach anyone ; getting no answer. Then today after 3 months I got hold of someone (male) who couldn't help me'. I questioned how they could charge for a product not ordered or received and said repeatedly, "mam, sorry I can't help you" . They questioned why I was so late in respnding? I tried calling but never got any answer!
When I received my "free sample" it came in an envelope with the bottle of Bromalite and absolutely nothing else with it. That is when it raised a warning bell. I quickly cancelled my card and still am trying to get a refund. I have worked with the fraud department of my credit card and have just recently been given a letter to try myself as they were not successful.
I am so frustrated and feel so stupid that I feel for such a deceitful ad. I should have known better. Now I just want to let others know -- BEWARE! This is a perfect example of companies to stay away from.

I too have had enough of this company to last a life time. I will be calling the Attorney General on this. I like many others was billed 69.95 11 days after recieving this product fyi to anyone who is blaming their self for not reading the fine print it was suppose to be a 14 day trail basis not 11 days and did you know that your trail period started the day you puchased the product even if you didn't have it. As for me I didn't recieve the product until 8 days later but my free trail started the day I purchased the product. So for those of you who are saying read the fine print It never once stated that the free trail period started the day you puchased it not when you recieved it How can you try something you don't have that in its self is a scam

This product was ordered by calling the toll free number advertised and requesting the 'free' sample. The product was tried and the crap doesn't even work and we found out that we were placed on an AUTO SHIP program where at least $69.95 worth of this product is sent to us once per month.
I called [protected] and got the auto ship canceled and the last shipment stopped and the money refunded.
What a scam!

I already went through the hoop dance calling [protected], and Chatted on line (have the chat log to include in Attorney General Complaint)
There is no 30-Day RISK FREE TRIAL, as Michelle wrote in my complaint (see Nance complaint)
They scammed us.
IMMEDIATELY report as fraud charge on credit card/bank. Ask to put "flag" on Bromalite, have another credit card issued. When I called my credit card company, their response was…”Oh yeahhhhh, we’ve heard about them!”. They’ve heard of Acai Burn and subsidiaries, too. With bank, talk to fraud protection personnel to “flag” these companies.
Look up and contact the state's attorney general office for consumer complaint form (in my case, the product shipped from Delaware...see below).
CONSUMER PROTECTION UNIT
DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE STATE OF DELAWARE 820 NORTH FRENCH STREET, 5TH FLOOR
WILMINGTON, DELAWARE 19801
Phone: [protected] or [protected]
Fax: [protected]
Email: consumer.protection @state.de.us
Cut and paste complaints you've seen on this web site and others as proof. If you can copy the terms/order form/web site details to submit as proof.
Write complaint to internet fraud:
www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx
Go on ANY consumer web site you can: /link removed/ www.consumercomplaints.com to report.
The Better Business Bureau cannot do anything, esp. if these scammers do not belong. Better action is filing complaint with Internet Fraud and Attorney General of the state where supplements were mailed.
It’s price gouging, unfair consumer practices, mail fraud (either NOT sending product or sending then charging outrageous amount, more than most legit Rx) and internet fraud, plus a host of other disclaimers. That’s even IF/THOUGH you did check the box, read the fine print. It’s like a virus and mutates.
STOP THEM NOW!

Hi group,
I found this site while researching "bromalite" and who they are as I, too, have some unauthorized charges... three of them to be exact, totalling $209.85. I must in the future jump on these questionable charges as soon as I see them! I just called [protected] and was told that I would be credited with two charges and that I am to return the unopened bottles for which they will also pay the shipping and handling (ha!). As for the third bottle, they will hold out returning my $69.95 until after a fraud investigation. I will of course include a letter restating this, with the package.
By reading an earlier post, I see where someone said they were able to cancel Acai-Slim at the same phone number... what's that about? My granddaughter did in fact order the free trial of the Acai-Slim with my permission, and she was using it, and I had no problem paying for it; however, if these people are connected, I will be cancelling that order as well. The package carries very little information as though they are attempting to hide something.
The address that I was given to return the product is P.O. Box 2003, Riverton, UT 84065. But, then I saw posted above the following address: Bromalite, 16192 Coastal Highway, Lewes, DE 19958. Needless to say, they will be receiving a copy of the letter I will include in the package return.
Anyway, thanks for reading. I will try to remember to report back here when I receive my credits.
I know! Caveat emptor! And, I forgot to get the woman's name and ID! Only because my noisy grandson was being himself while I was making the call.

I guess that I am late catching onto the scam because I had not reviwed my credit card statement, and just received a second products of both Bromalite and Acai Berry. As noted, ordered the free trial and received another bottle of both. After several phone calls (waiting and disconnected), I spoke with person in Phillipines who promised to have customer service return call. After no call, located another number for company and spoke with rep. Supposedly, company has refunded my c/credit for one product, and I am in the process of returning the second for a full refund. We will see.
FILE YOUR COMPLAIN WITH THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION, TOO! EASY ONLINE PROCESS.

Accepted offer along with Acaidiet for 30 day no risk free trial. Spent many minutes convicing there on line chatter I did not want to sign up for anything until I tried it. Billed immediately for S&H $4.95. Never received confirming email or product. Now they have place unauthorized charge to my checking account for additional $69.95. The phone number listed on the transactionjust tells me their hours and to go to verifymyorder.com which brings me to complaints forum. There doesn't seem to be a verify page. I no longer wish to try the product, I just want my money returned. Next complaint is the same regarding the Acaidiet

I ordered the product for a trial 30 day period was to pay only shipping of $4.95. When I received my statement from credit card company, I had been charged the $4.95 and then I was charged on same statement $69.95. When I contacted the company by phone, I was told that the $4.95 was for shipping and the $69.95 was auto charged in 15 days later. I was not advised of this transaction and I certainly did not agree to this charge. This company is a complete rip-off. I spoke with a representative and she informed me I would have to pay the $69.95, I was charged for this 15 days after the $4.95 charge and that was the agreement. I told I did not agree with this and this company was ridiculous and a total rip off!

Following in the wake of my extremely dissapointing and unsettling experience with the Acai-berry folks, I had another unexpected charge to my bank account in the amount of 76.50 for my "trial sample" of the Bromalite product. As I said in my last account of the Natures-Acai fiasco, I will continue to try to recover my money, and I am still hoping that there are enough pissed-off consumers to put these people on notice. This can not be tolerated. If I were a lawyer, I would be all over this! Anyone?

Terms & Conditions: (these terms/conditions only apply to the free trial) Start your trial now to receive a full month supply of Bromalite (retails for seventy four dollars). You will have 14 full days from today to evaluate and decide if you wish to keep the remaining 30 day supply and continue receiving Bromalite. If you enjoy Bromalite, simply do nothing. You will be billed the discounted price of only 69.95 at the end of your 14 day trial period for your initial supply. You will be billed 30 days from today for the same amount to replenish your supply of Bromalite and begin your monthly auto shipment unless cancelled (this is a savings off the retail price, and is available to you today). You will enjoy our auto ship program that will deliver your monthly supply of the Bromalite Diet. You are still receiving this trial one hundred percent risk free because if, for ANY reason, you decide that Bromalite is not for you, simply call [protected] and we will quickly assist you with canceling your Bromalite auto ship program as well as help you with a refund. No future commitments, no hassles. Cancel any time.
I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS CONSUMER TRANSACTION INVOLVES A NEGATIVE OPTION AND THAT I MAY BE LIABLE FOR PAYMENT OF FUTURE GOODS AND SERVICES, UNDER THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT, IF I FAIL TO NOTIFY THE SUPPLIER NOT TO SUPPLY THE GOODS OR SERVICES DESCRIBED.

Unfortunatley I am another victim that did not notice some of the fine print due to the fact that I saw it with recommendations from Dr Oz and the Oprah Winfrey show. I also was not aware that the 14 day trial starts as soon as you sign up which means if you don't receive your product by the end of the 14 days you really don't have a free trial. I also attempted to cancel this order and got a customer service operator who would have to have a representative call me back within 24- 48 hours. (HA HA) That did not happen. I then contacted DRI who is on the billing and spoke with their customer service and was assured that the cancellation was complete and the refund was submitted for my $74.85. I was told it would be 10 -15 days for the refund and have been looking for it. Today I receive another debit for $74.85 and no refund has been processed. I called the company again who now tells me that they never received the cancellation and that the first one would have to be submitted to the refund department. That will take another 10-15 days. This is very misleading in the way they advertise as well as run customer service with their only defense being that you ordered the product. I only hope that others will read these blogs and not be dupped as it seems many have.

My wife who is older, ordered Bromalite as from the internet. this was sugested by her health adviser at the YwCA the next day the adviser had gotten her credit card and found out the charges, told my wife to stop the order.
Called Bromalite and they refused to stop order, we sent unoped bottle back and they still charged us. $72.0o
and then sold our credit card to two other organisations who charged $39.00 and $29.00. these people could not speak English and that to was not able to stop charges.
Called Bromalite and their customer service told me I should have read small print, that was my fault, no reimbursment to anyone.

My Mom got scammed too! But they went & charged her 69.99 2wice ! It's a shame cause the product worked great. Just not worth the money. Then they sent her another item weeks later. She canceled her debit card also and the bank refunded one charge plus the over draft charge! Preying on old people is sad!

I read everything available, even fine print and terms and conditions. I followed everything to the letter. My only mistake was trusting in a company that should'nt have been trusted. Now I am losing eyesight in my left eye, because of Bromalite. I am out of money for a program that wasn't stated in their terms or website. If anymore money is taken out of my sons account, apparently the only alternative I have is to cancel and transfer to my other bank. I am directing this comment to Michelle of Customer Service.

I was scammed too. I think everyone should write a letter to the better business bureau so that they go out of business. They are making money off innocent consumers. Businesses exist with all their conditions explained in detail and not to defraud anyone but this company is out to get anyone who will bite. Please contact your better business bureau and even your representative so that no one else will be scammed like this.
They wouldn't even take back my unopened bottles.

On 3/9/09 I thought I was purchasing 30-day Digestive Supplement for $4.50. I received the bottle a couple of days later. I never opened the first bottle, and on 3/28/09 I received another bottle which I didn't order, and took it to the post office to be returned unopened. On 3/31/09 I received my Visa bill to learn that I was charged $69.95 for the original bottle I thought was $4.50. I called the company immediately, and was told about the "terms and conditions" which appeared in the very small, fine print at the bottom of the page. I was given a confirmation #01A46 and another #62327 that verified that I cancelled my subscription. There was another charge for $29.95 on my credit card; when I called that number, I was told it was for a fitness instructor that I had automatically been signed up for when I sent for the supplement. I was given a confirmation #CRA-[protected] stating that this service had been cancelled. This morning, I called my credit card company, only to learn that I had been charged an additional $69.95 on March 24, 2009. I requested that a new credit card number be issued to me immediately. I accept responsibility for not reading the terms and conditions fully, but feel that the company has used unfair business practices in advertising a product for $4.50 and in fine print, extracting over $100 for their product that, upon further investigation, is reported to be questionable to use. I never even opened the first bottle, and would appreciate any help you can give me in recuperating the second charge of $69.95 on my credit card. This type of advertising is deceitful, deceptive, and should be unlawful.

WELL, THEY DID REFUND ME THE MONEY AND ON THE SAME DAY THEY CHARGED ME AGAIN OVERDRAFTING MY ACCOUNT NOT ONCE BUT TWICE. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET IN TOUCH WITH SOMEONE TO GET MY 70 DOLLARS BACK THAT THEY OWE ME FOR THEIR MISTAKE. IF ANYONE KNOWS OF A PHONE NUMBER PLEASE EMAIL IT TO ME A TSPANOS@GMAIL.COM IF I DO NOT GET GOOD RESULTS FROM THIS I WILL BE SPEAKING WITH ONE OF MY ATTORNEY'S I NEVER GAVE THEM MY PERMISSION TO TAKE ANY MONIES OUT OF MY ACCOUNT AFTER I CANCELLED. I feel like an idiot too. I never ordered Bromalite and I have now been sent two bottles. I thought that the initial bottle was a special gift with purchase as I did purchase Acai Berry weight loss vitamins GNC). I have cancelled the Acai Berry and when I asked the customer service rep about the Bromalite, she acted like she had never heard of it. Has anyone been sucessfull in reaching Bromalite? Help!
Would like stop charges and additional charges but can" find any way to do it.
BROMALITE " PILL S" FREE TRIAL FOR ONLY SHIPPPING $4.95..OK...ON (1/23/2009) THEY CHARGED ME THE $4.95 ON 1/26/2009, OK... THIS IS A SCAM...
I HAVE TRIED TO CALL THIS PHONE NUMBER [protected] TO CANCEL THIS AND ALL I GET IS
THIS NUMBER IN NOT IN SERVICE...EVEN IF I PUT A ( 1 ) IN FRONT OF THE NUMBER
NOW AS OF *2/11/2009 I HAVE A PENDING CHARGE OF $69.95 FOR THESE PILLS...I CAN NOT TAKE THESE PILLS THEY MAKE ME FEEL SICK ALL DAY AND I HAVE ONLY TAKEN 1 A/DAY FOR 7 DAYS...
I WANT THIS CANCELLED... ON THIER BROWSER - THEY STATE THAT I WILL BE BILLED IN 30 DAYS FROM TODAY WHICH WAS (JAN 23, 2009) AND THEY BILLED ME ON FEB. 11, 2009, *AS I STATED ABOVE. 2/11 IS NOT 30DAYS FROM 1/23...CANCELL, CANCELL...
MARIE R. MARIEZR@SBCGLOBAL.NET
If the people read the fine print it tells them about the charge after the 14 days. and the fitness program. That's why I decided not to order the product, because i read the fine print.
yes it is a scam, the fine print says a quick refund, 7-14 days is not a quick refund and they also gave my credit card number to somebody else and got more charges on my account.they call it the buddy system! BEWARE TO NOT GO THERE!
What a scam!
just recieved a bottle of bromalite today 2/21/09 and thought what-? so i called [protected], the women said they will refund the money(credit back) and cancel all and any thing else, so i wait and see, i hope so, it was deceptive
I have read the complaints. I want my order stopped ASAP. I will get a lawyer involved.

Cut and paste complaints you've seen on this web site and others as proof. If you can copy the terms/order form/web site details to submit as proof.
Write complaint to internet fraud:

I told I did not agree with this and this company was ridiculous and a total rip off!
my name is charisse brown and i was charged for smoething and dont know way it cased my acct. to over draft im in in the army and i am tryin to give you a chance to correct the mistake befor i have them to do it thank you
This place is a SCAM! Do not order from them. They will charge your account for product that you did not authorize and bill you for product that you do not receive. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
call [protected]
and call your bank and HOT CARD you card tell the bank you card was lost and all charges will stop and they will give you another one with a new number
I want my money back! You all took 69.95 out of my account without me okaying it...
I am on hold with them right now. Same ###! I have their damn terms right here and nowhere does it give permission for this fit factory to take my money! I would be glad to pursue a laywer with you. I cancelled my online within the time frame but still got charged. They are telling me it was a glich in their computer. ###. She just got back on the phone and gave me another line of crap. All this on my cell phone minutes so I just excused her and told her she would be hearing from my laywer next.
I am directing this comment to Michelle of Customer Service.
i have been charged without my consent
