Your 2450 Government St Mobile, Al store has some of worst people working there and the supervisor or assistant in charge right now @ 5:00 pm is the time so you'll know the is worst of them all. I was getting my 1993 Oldsmobile checked for an alignment which they did do but the service and manner in which ways yours employees talked to me and another young...

When I took my car to Budget Brakes on 4/11/09 to have front brakes replaced, I was told I needed rear brakes 2 NEW calipers for the front brakes as well (1 caliper was broken, and the other was leaking), and that the calipers would have to be 'special ordered'. I paid them $260.00 cash for the calipers & told them I would be back to have the work done when I had the money to pay the balance of the work to be done ($284.00, which didn't include the back brakes-another $108.00 for that!). After I thought about it, I decided to go to another establishment for a second opinion. They told me IF I needed new calipers, they could have the parts at the store within 10 minutes. The second business looked at my car and told me that there was NO leakage, but that a piece on the other caliper needed to be replaced, NOT the while caliper itself. This business told me I also needed to replace the rear cylinders on both back brakes, which Budget Brakes did not tell me this. I was shown the work that needed to be done, given a quote, and gave them the okay to do the work. Now I have to go back to Budget Brakes to see about giving me my $260.00 back that I gave them as a deposit on the 2 calipers. I hope they don't try to tell me that they'll have to recoup a restock fee on these parts, considering I didn't need these parts to begin with! I will post another report shortly after I try to reclaim my $260.00 deposit.
Never again will I go there
I had my dad take my car in for a simple brake job (had a coupon for discounted work) which should also involve turning the rotors, after dad brought the car home he said there is something wrong with the car which meant taking my car back to the store on East Brainerd Road.
I took the car back to them a few days later and told them its still not right, even at 60+ MPH down the interstate, and they drove it around the block and (don't you love a bunch of liars) tell me that its not my brakes shaking, its my flat spotted tires doing that, today I took it to the shop that I normally have my work done and after explaining what was wrong with it the end result was that the rotors are out of round.
You might see the TV commercials saying stop at Budget Brakes for a good job, I will never let my car go back there again, you would be safer going to a name brand brake shop (or the small town auto repair shop) and pay a little extra to have the brakes done or have a bunch of idiots lie in front of your face to where you will never come back ever again.
I went to Budget Brakes on south parkway in huntsviile Alabama. They installled new pads on rear of car. I returned after one month and ask them to check rear pads for noise. They explained it was because of all the rain huntsville been having lately. I said ok and left. The noise continues today and I return 3 times with nothing done each time. I got the payment record out and they still said that the rain causes brake noise. This location of Budget Brakes are very unbelievable professionals.
