Dear Budget/ Avis Car Rental,
My husband and I had a terrible experience with Budget at the BWI airport recently and would like to file a claim.
1) We arrived at BWI to pick up our prepaid car and waited over an hour in line before a car was assigned to us.
2) We received a Kia and drove to the hotel. The next morning we were unable to get into the car and it had to be towed back the airport.
3) We were unable to rent another car until the towed car made it back to the airport.
4) In the meantime, my daughter called the Budget customer service line and was told at least 3 times that once we returned to BWI we would not need to stand in line and to just go the front of the line.
5) We did as instructed and were met with rude customer service people who told us that we needed to go to the back of the line and that they only had trucks available for rental.
6) We stood in line for 2 more hours making it a total of 3 hours of waiting time.
7) Consequently, we wasted the entire morning and missed our family function all together.
8) I want a refund for the wasted day and strongly suggest that these so called customer service front people be reprimanded.
9) I have been a Budget Rent A Car customer for many years but will never rent from you again.
