I rented a car on 9/24/[protected]/2022 at Ft Lauderdale airport location. Picked up car at 8 pm. I was given an electrical car which was not what I requested. Upon leaving airport about 5 minutes car stopped on side of I595 ramp with no charge no light no hazards no emergency equipment. I called roadside assistance every hour and was informed no tow truck was available. I continuously explained the dangerous situation I was in since ramp was about 10 stories high on a curve leading to I95 with cars zooming by at 75 mph. Rep also told me If I left car I would be liable. At 5am I was told by roadside assistance to get comfortable and nap because no tow was available til late morning. I called and paid to have car towed. Now I have a 400$ extra charge on my credit card for roadside assistance which never responded to scene.
Desired outcome: I would like fraudulent charge taken off my bill and be compensated for their incompetence of giving me an electrical car that was not charged.

My original estimate was for 494..88 , my final charge was 449.33 . It seems that I was not given a full credit for returning early. I difference of only 45.55 ? Please explain.

We are writing this letter to express our disappointment from the unacceptable service we received from your company, Budget. One would certainly expect a much better treatment given your prestigious status and your over advertised “We will consistently deliver a quality product, friendly service and great value that make customers confident that Budget is their best car rental choice".
On Thursday, August 25th, we rented a vehicle from your company, through our Costco Travel account. We were very happy and satisfied with our rental. The rental was to be picked up on September 28th at the Albany, New York Airport (Budget Confirmation Number: 15682437US1).
We live in Loxahatchee, Florida and our plane was supposed to leave at 5:50am on Wednesday, the 28th, the morning “Hurricane Ian” hit our area. We were forced to change our travel plans because of this hurricane, which I am sure you know by now devastated our state.
On Monday, September 26th, before the hurricane we reached out to our airlines, which had no problem in changing our tickets for exactly one week later, with no extra fees or costs. We also reached out to Budget, unfortunately they were not as accommodating. After waiting on the phone for approximately 15 minutes, we talked with your customer service. The only way they could help is by offering us the same car, but now the price was well over $500.00 (it might have even been over $560.00)! Customer Service transferred us to what they said was a special department, which after waiting for over ½ hour on hold we talked with a gentleman, by the name of (left blank intentionally) (#30312). He absolutely had no interested in helping. We could pay the extra money or simply cancel our car rental.
We are completely disappointed with Budget. We expected quality service and value from what we thought was a reputable company! We are sorry Budget took this unexpected “Act of God” (tragedy of this hurricane) and used this opportunity to Gouge / Swindle your customers. Shame on you!

Over charged fees
Stranded due to hurricane ian. No power or cell service. Hotel told us to leave. Airport closed. Drove from Marco island to Florida border to get a cell signal. Called budget. Was told to turn in car at nearest airport. Fees would be added based on how far we went. No help no options. Was late at night so we went home. Was charged nearly $400 to keep your car and my family safe. Profiting from a disaster is not a good look budget.

Rental from Norfolk , VA airport
Hello , I had reserved a larger SUV in advance to be picked up 9/20 to attend a wedding on outer banks , NC. I specifically needed an Suv since I was attending a wedding on 4x4 beach where you actually need an suv to travel. Upon arrival at budget counter in airport, there were no SUV’s available even though I received confirmation prior that I would have one. I had to take a minivan instead to at least get to outer banks area.
Upon arriving in outer banks, had no choice but to rent a Jeep locally there to be able to get to the various events. This cost me an additional 480.00 on top of the rental from Budget. Not the first time this has happened but this time cost me money, just not an inconvenience like last time.
I would like to be have some type of credit on the rental I did take which was not useable. Reservations were under Patricia Survilla

In reviewing my COSTCO agreement, it clearly states the above numbers. The only extra I verbally agreed to was the charge of $44.95 (8.99 per day for personal Accident Effects). I see that the clerk highlighted the Loss Damage Waiver for $30.40 per day instead (Total $152)
However when I returned the car,I was charged $851.90 or $152.00 more than I agreed to

On 9/21/22, I was charged for a LOSS Damage Waiver at $30.40. Per day. I verbally agreed to the Personal Accident and Effects at $8.99 per day. I think the clerk may have highlighted the wrong item since they are right next to each other on the sheet. I was charged $151.90 more than I should have been.

Truck/ no discount for veterans/ order car on line got a truck (Toyota Tacoma ) dirty
Went on -line (Budget rental) ordered a car mid size , car was not available when I landed in salt lake city, UT. The budget person I check in with was slow, seems like the Lady did not want to talk to about rental cars. I had to go sit down for about 30-40 mins. before I retuned to ask what is the wait time to get a car. A few minutes later I was called up to get my car. I did not have a choice or even get a car my choice was a van or a truck.
No discount for veterans or retired military personnel the lady said. AARP get one. Took the truck Toyota Tacoma , not until I GOT IN THE SUNLIGHT the truck was dirty and spotted from a very bad wash job. Dash was dirty.
When I dropped it off on the 27th of Sept at SLC airport I told the Manger their at the return rental cars. He didn't say a word. My only problem I should took pictures of the messy truck un clean.
The Lady at the front counter needs somebody to train her. Not polite, un concerned. She took my driver license and credit card. Not good service at all. As a American disabled veteran that was a experince.

Trying to bill me for repairs they knew the car needed before we got issued it to drive. They knew it and told us it was ok to drive that's the reason it was discounted. I couldn't argue because we accepted the low price however the roadside, we paid extra for was not available we have tons of records from trying to get assistance. This was months ago now. We got a receipt and told them what happened with the tire that was supposed to be ok just was missing the hub cap. That was a lie they knew it was bad. The place really needs someone to look at their facility and what they are doing. I didn't want to hurt the company buy blasting this out because this was a onetime deal, we have used budget a lot. Might need maybe others are getting scammed too in PR.

I called and rented a car from Budget as my insurance carrier's provider (enterprise) did not have any cars available - I called and cancelled the same reservation within 20 min of placing it on the phone - when I called to cancel the reservation I was hit with a $150 cancellation fee for a car I never saw nor wanted to rent - When I questioned this the representative in Rockford IL snidely stated well that's out policy that you agreed to - What a minute -I was never given a disclaimer or told that my cc was to pay for the entire rental - it was only to hold the rental until I go there. I agreed to noting - I was told they only needed a cc# to hold the car and reservation - and then I get the email after the fact -as a business professional I can tell you that this is NOT the way to do business. With service like this I will be telling all I know to NEVER do any business with Budget - I kindly await your response.

White Kia Forte that blew a tire and nobody helped me from Budget.
Flight MCO/CLE/MCO, in Cleveland I picked up at rental car for 9/16/22-9/19/22. On 9/18 around 3:30 pm while driving on the freeway. My car had this terrible noise I thought a tire blew. But, no. I put flashers on and got to my hotel. I called Budget Emergency Roadside number and was given a ticket number [protected]. Being told the car would be towed and I could get a ride to Budget from the tow man if I didn't mind, or they would send an Uber. Well, I am back home and the car is still at my hotel over 28 since my call. My nephew drove me to the Cleveland airport. The Westlake Police know the car was being left, the hotel knows the car is still there because I gave them the key. My ear is sore since I have put close to four hours on the phone calling people. I am not sure of the first person's name that took the call, but I have been on the phone with a robo call named Caroline, emergency road people named Brianna, Chess, Chelsea, also spoke with Amanda who only handles trucks, customer service Hazel and Alex, and as I type this I am on hold again because someone name John could not help me. It is Monday, September 19, 7:03 pm. I hung up now after 40 minutes because I really had no idea who I was holding for and I realize many offices at Budget close at 7:30pm. It is now 7:43pm. Furthermore, the key fob did not work. I figured that out a half hour after I got the car when I stopped for a Mr. Hero sandwich (something we don't have in FL) I couldn't even lock the car. I had my nephew checked the tires and under the car on Sunday and found a piece of rubber hanging from the front driver side tire. Also, is Fast Break no more, because it sure is not in Cleveland. One more thing, I was going to pay AAA out of my own pocket to get you your car but I was leaving 1.5 hours before they could arrive. They wouldn't do it without me being there.
Desired outcome: I want a refund me 9/18 and 9/19. I don't want to be charged for not filling up the tank. It was at 1/2 and I would have filled it up at the station about 200 yards from my hotel.
Car rental/ Deposit
I rented a car in Glasgow for two days from 2022-08-20 to 2022-08-21, the reservation number is [protected] (with also another reservation number in the car details which is 15094661BR1). The service was good, but I had made a 200 pounds deposit (credit card last 4 digits is 0922) for the booking that was supposed to be refunded after I returned the car, but that has not happend so far. It has been almost a month since I returned the car and I am feeling very frustrated because the company do not answer my calls, and they do not reply my emails (I have sent emails already 3 times over the last 3 weeks)

Rental insurance
Well I had the same thing done to me at the Lihue Airport in June 17th 2022. I declined the insurance cause my car auto insurance would cover anything. Then when I get back home I hade a charge of $466.74 charged on my debit card. I already prepaid the rental a year ago. Now was looking at the paperwork and they added the rental insurance anyways after I declined it and they said its our belief to add it anyways just I case your insurance declines to pay. This is stealing from me cause I never added it and declined it. Called the bank and after their investigation the sided with Budget even tho they stated they never requested any docume to from Budget. Will close my Wells Fargo account and go with anyone else but Wells Fargo. Would like to get refunded that money I never authorized. Budget said they would not refund it cause it was authorized and I told them I never did authorize any insurance add. The lady at the Budget rental counter when I called back the next day after we got home said that it is there policy to add it cause they don't trust auto insurance companies. Plus when I looked and my copy of rental agreement it was added but no signature or initials were next to decline insurance. They did it after I left and added it on their own.
Desired outcome: Refund of $466.74 no agreements to take less only want the full $466.74 and for it to be refunded immediately. If they can take it fast then they can refund it fast also

Before picking up the car I went to the Kingston office on Princess Av, to inform that I needed a 100% operational vehicle because it was to pass my driving test, the person at the counter offered me a Hyundai Venue with license plate FPY5670 and white color, she told me that they would wash it at that time, and it would be ready. When I went back to pick it up the person who attends was very spoiled and rude, she did not give any clear explanation about the costs of my reservation and especially the deposit she was asking for, when I asked her for more details she told me to pay because that was the way it was and she was upset because she had my card in the POS she canceled the transaction and threw the pen she had making altered movements with her hands, I had to ask him to speak to me with respect because I had not treated him badly, I just demanded to know about the charge I was going to pay, he replied that I should trust him because it was the right thing to do and that he knew his job. When he issued the receipt it was wrong, the amount to be returned to me after deducting the reservation payment from the $500 CAD, was a smaller amount, I realized he had made a mistake and told him so, he got upset, very rare for an expert person to make a mistake, he corrected the paper by hand with a pencil and reluctantly, he did not even offer an apology, of course, you can trust him like that, I told him. When I checked the car, the gas tank was not full and I was supposed to return it anyway, it had several marks of lack of paint and a bump on the driver's door that they were not registering in the document of constancy for the delivery, it was dirty with hairs of some pet and I made it known, they told me that if it was, I informed that I rented the car to pass the driving test and that everything should be operational, I tried the front and rear flashing lights, the brake and when I pressed the horn, it did not work, all a problem, I had already taken half an hour to receive the car and I had to pick up my children from school, I informed what was happening to the man at the counter and very quickly he walked away while I was talking to him, I had to leave and he did not care, he was very spoiled leaving me standing and he moved forward. He gave the keys to a new car to the man who does the cleaning and he was in charge of checking it with me, I asked the agent to register my return of the second car later because I was leaving the office late due to his responsibility and he told me no, that it was already in the system and he could not do anything, always with a bad attitude, I was talking to him and he was walking inside the office, my husband called his attention and told him to change it, but he said no. It is unbelievable that, in an international company like Budget, which is due to the choice of its customers, they have an employee who disrespects and treats others in a bad way, he just threw things at me and left, the delay was not my fault, the car was not in perfect working order, I pay for a suitable service not to be accepting something of lower quality and bad treatment, it should be noted that I had previously rented 1 week rental of another vehicle and did not have these problems, even rent 3 weeks with Enterprice and everything was impeccable, but I could not get available dates with them and I'm sure I will never hire in that same place. They should evaluate this person named Roy and ask him for an explanation, he abuses the trust that is not given to him and does his job unwillingly, better that he does not represent them. rental car not checked in when returned
Returned car to airport and left keys in car as instructed on muliple signs. Before normal hours so no attendant. My credit card continues to have charges added and after a call was told the car was not returned. My first question to the agent at the desk was does the car have a sat nav and his reply was no so we agreed to have a portable one that would connect to the car. after 1hr driving away from the airport I said this car has a built in sat nav. On August 29th we arrived back at the airport and spoke with a senior Budget agent who took a picture of our contract and said he would get the cost removed. Unexplained charges to credit card
On 8/10/22 my wife recently rented a car in Albany, NY while vacationing in that area. Two days before she returned the car on 8/16/22, she lost the fob needed to start the car. Budget did arrange for a tow for the car and rented a her another car. Just before returning the second car on 8/18/22, she found the missing fob for the first car. She turned that in to Budget before a new fob was made and they told her there would be no charge for replacing the missing fob or lost key charges. Now we have had an extra $539 charge put on credit card and just received a notice there will be another $445 charge within the next 20 days. There is no detail explaining why we are being billed these amounts. I tried calling Budget on 8/19/22 and was assured someone would get back to me about the charges in 3-5 business days. There has been no call back. The case number is [protected].
Desired outcome: I would like to receive written documentation of all charges. If there are duplicate charges, they should be removed. Any charges for a replacement fob should be removed as well as any charges for a lost key.
