Excellent Service and Quality Plantation Shutters from Budget Blinds in North Tucson/Oro Valley
I just gotta say, we got these real nice Plantation Shutters from Budget Blinds in North Tucson/Oro Valley and they did us right. Santana was all business, but in a good way, and she helped us out before and after the install. She kept us in the loop and let us know what was going on. Jeremy was the man when it came to ordering and installing. He got it done quick and the shutters look great! We tried to get him to just fix a little thing, but he wouldn't have it. He wanted it perfect, and that's what we got. We're definitely gonna use these guys again if we need anything else. Highly recommend!
Budget Blinds Review: Unreliable, Poor Customer Service, Not Recommended

Terrible Customer Service Experience with BudgetBlinds of Naples and Marco Island, FL
We recently made a purchase of plantation shutters from BudgetBlinds for our home. The total cost of the order was around $5,000 to $6,000. However, we realized that we needed one more shutter a few days after placing the order. We had to re-order and re-measure this shutter four times over the course of almost one year before they finally installed it yesterday. It was quite frustrating to have to wait for so long to get this one shutter installed.
After the installation, I approached the owner Tony and asked for some consideration or discount due to the constant delays and the long wait time. I just wanted something off this one shutter which cost $142. However, Tony's response was completely unexpected. He started screaming at me and even threatened to come over and rip the shutter out! I was taken aback by his behavior and was shocked at the level of customer service provided by BudgetBlinds.
I have never experienced such terrible customer service before. It was a complete disappointment and I would not recommend BudgetBlinds of Naples and Marco Island, FL to anyone. The whole experience was a nightmare and I would advise anyone looking for window treatments to stay away from this company.

I gotta say, I ain't too pleased with BudgetBlinds. Their customer service is just plain bad. I told the boss man straight up that I only needed to upgrade one measly window, but he didn't seem to care. He said he was too busy to answer any more of my questions, even though I just wanted to know if I could measure the window myself and order online. I mean, come on, how hard is it to answer a simple question like that? It's like they don't even want my business. And let me tell ya, first impressions are everything. If they can't even bother to give me the time of day now, why should I bother giving them my hard-earned cash later? The valences also look like wrinkled paper, which is not what I expected from a company that specializes in window treatments.
When I contacted the owner to express my disappointment, he did not apologize or offer to replace the shades immediately. Instead, he appeared annoyed and eventually agreed to replace them in an angry tone. However, he wanted to charge me more than the new fabric I chose because he claimed to have come to my house a few times. The first time was to take photos of the initial complaint, the second time was to take more photos, and the third time was for me to choose another fabric. I questioned him about the unfair pricing, which only made him angrier.
To make matters worse, when my neighbor witnessed this exchange and attempted to talk to the owner, he told her not to buy his shades and closed my front door in her face. I was shocked and appalled by his unprofessional behavior. He has now served me with a lien on my house for the balance, which is completely unacceptable.
Overall, I would not recommend BudgetBlinds to anyone. The poor quality of the product and unscrupulous behavior of the owner make it clear that this is not a company that values its customers.
Poor Customer Service and Installation: My Experience with BudgetBlinds
I bought some roller shades for my French door from BudgetBlinds back in June of 22. It's now November 10th and they still haven't gotten it right. The first time they tried to install them, one of the 3 shades had a scratched up bottom rail and one of them would go up about 3/4 of the way and then stop for a couple seconds before continuing on its way to the top. They said they would order a replacement. After waiting for it to arrive and installing it, we found out that it was the wrong color. It's still up because they had to order another one. Who knows how long it's going to take.
I also wanted some shades for my living room, but when they came back with the price, it was outrageous. When I asked about it, the rep, Demery, sent me an email stating that it was because my windows were over 50 inches wide and my kitchen window was only 40 inches. I called and tried to tell her that the windows were the same width, but she didn't seem to believe me. I would have thought that she would have come back out and remeasured, but no, she wanted me to take pictures with a tape measure and send them to her cell phone. I'm just one person with 2 hands, so how am I supposed to do that? I canceled the order and told her I would be waiting for the replacement for the French door. 6 months later and I'm still waiting.
For the record, this is the Moorestown, Collingswood offices and Demery Hana was the rep for the living room windows. Theresa McGoldrick handled the rest of the business. I was going to do my living room and bedrooms, but I will not be using BudgetBlinds again. Their customer service is terrible and they don't seem to care about getting things right.

I had an in-home consultation with BudgetBlinds on Thursday, July 29th, 2021. I decided to get blinds for three different rooms in my house and was told that I would receive a quote either on Friday or for sure on Monday. However, by Wednesday, August 4th, I had not heard anything from them. I decided to call the number on the business card that was given to me during the consultation. To my surprise, the person who answered the phone did not even recognize the name of the person I was trying to reach, Sheetal. I left a message with the woman I spoke to, letting her know that I was waiting for the quote. Unfortunately, I did not receive a call back.
Yesterday, I remembered that when I initially called BudgetBlinds to set up the consultation, I left a message and was contacted by Doreen at ***458. I decided to call her and explain what I had experienced and that I had not been able to get hold of Sheetal. Doreen told me that she would make sure to get the message to Sheetal to call me back. She also mentioned something about them having routing issues with their phones, which I did not understand how it impacted calling me with a quote, but I let it go. I asked Doreen when I could expect a call back, and she promised it would be the next morning, August 6th.
However, by 1:20 PM that afternoon, I had not received a call back. I decided to call Doreen back and remind her that she promised a call back that morning. She told me that she had told Sheetal about it, and Sheetal had told her not to call me back. Sheetal promised to call me herself. I asked Doreen why it was so difficult for me to get a quote, and she blamed it on the phone problem again. I told her that their customer service was atrocious. I am not sure if I will ever receive a response from them.
Overall, my experience with BudgetBlinds has been frustrating and disappointing. Their lack of communication and poor customer service has left me feeling dissatisfied. I hope that they can improve their services in the future.
Terrible Experience with Roman Shades: Valances Falling Off and Poor Customer Service
I bought some Roman Shades for my new crib back in 2018. I told Larry that I had already bought some Roman shades for my previous pad and the valances kept falling off because they were attached with velcro. I told him I didn't want that to happen again. He said that wouldn't happen with his blinds because the valances would be sewn on to the shade. I was like, "cool, sounds good to me."
The first time they came to install the shades in two of my bedrooms, they were only 12 inches long. No one had checked my order before coming for installation, so they had to remake two rooms of shades.
The next time they came to install, there were NO valances at all. I was like, "what the heck?" They said they would fix it.
When the installer came back, I thought he would be bringing shades made correctly. However, the fix turned out to be valances attached by velcro. I called Larry and he said, "That's what the company was willing to do." I told him I was not satisfied with that because I specifically said velcro was a NO when I bought these shades. He told me to "Don't get the hairs on your head standing up in a tither"! I was so mad! That is not what I paid for and I told him that. His response again was, "That's the fix that the company is doing!"
So now, every couple of weeks, I have to grab a stepstool and push the velcro back where it belongs. It's so annoying every time I walk by those rooms.
Also, I didn't get a copy of my purchase agreement. When I asked for it, they emailed me a spreadsheet without signatures or even a company logo. What kind of business is that?
I will never do business with this company again and I will tell everyone I know how awful they are.
Disappointing Experience with Budget Blinds North Houston: Poor Quality and Customer Service
We decided to give our business to Budget Blinds, specifically the North Houston franchisee owned by Mike and Michelle Davis. We trusted in the quality of Budget Blinds and wanted to support a small business. However, our experience with the plantation shutter installation was not what we expected.
Due to a manufacturing delay, the installation was delayed for a few weeks. We also had trouble scheduling a Friday installation for two weeks. Despite this, we insisted to Michelle that we were okay with the delay as long as the shutters were of good quality and inspected for any defects.
Unfortunately, we were not satisfied with the customer service and quality of the plantation shutters provided by Budget Blinds and Ameritex (the shutter manufacturer). When we called for defect support, Mike and Michelle did not show up to inspect the issue. We took the time to inspect every shutter in all the rooms and found many issues. The louvers were not closing tightly, there were big gaps in many of them, several were not opening and closing uniformly, and some had unusual loose movements where they were attached to the hidden control lever. We also found bubbles and terrible paint work on the louvers. The hidden tilt mechanism and the build of the shutters were poorly designed from the start.
We pointed out several defective louvers to Mike in person on the day of installation, but he gave unacceptable excuses instead of addressing them and committing to fix the issues. We have lost faith and confidence in the customer service of Budget Blinds and the product quality of Ameritex shutters after our bad experience. We have identified several defects in the last few weeks and are not satisfied with the shutters.
Product excellence and quality control were not met, and we feel that Budget Blinds corporate office has not been helpful in resolving the issue. We must note that there is a lady at the Budget Blinds corporate office named Theresa (TJ) Andrezze, who was a bully and did not serve to mediate and resolve the issue.
Overall, we are disappointed with our experience with Budget Blinds and would not recommend them to others.
Buyer Beware: My Disappointing Experience with Budget Blinds' Inspired Shades
I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience with Budget Blinds. I was looking to get some smart motorized shades installed in my apartment, and I thought I had found the perfect solution with Budget Blinds. Mari O'Connor, the sales rep for Sue and Trevor Pinto of Budget Blinds of Mid-Lower Manhattan, assured me that their affiliate brand, Inspired Shades, would work just as well as the more expensive Lutron brand. I was sold, and I paid $2500 for the Inspired Shades.
But when it came time for installation, things started to go wrong. The blinds didn't work through the remote or app, and the installers told me that they often have issues with Inspired Shades. They suggested that we should have gone with Lutron instead. To make matters worse, instead of providing the one remote that was promised at the time of purchase, each blind needed its own remote next to the blind to function.
The installers came back a second time and suggested that we place multiple receivers in plain sight around the apartment to try to get the blinds to work. I wasn't thrilled about having visible receivers all over my apartment, but I was willing to try it. Unfortunately, even with the receivers in plain sight, the installers still couldn't get all the blinds to work.
At this point, I was pretty frustrated. I had paid a lot of money for a product that wasn't working as advertised. I was offered the option to replace the Inspired Shades with Lutron, but I would only receive a $1995 credit towards the purchase, even though I had already paid $2500. I offered to pay the difference, but Mari declined and suggested that the installers come back a third time.
On the third visit, the installers placed a hub in plain sight on my kitchen counter and put two signal repeaters in outlets next to the blinds. One of the outlets was a single plug high voltage outlet that was designed for my air conditioning unit. The installers unplugged my air conditioning and placed a signal repeater in that outlet, rendering my air conditioning unit useless. To make matters worse, they still didn't set up a multi-channel remote.
Mari later claimed that the shades were "all functioning properly," but that was far from the truth. I was sold a product that was supposed to work with a single remote or through a phone app with a hidden hub, but what I got was a product that didn't work as advertised. I paid for a product that I didn't receive.
I tried to solve the problem by offering to pay for the difference between the Inspired Shades and Lutron, but that didn't work. I spent a lot of time trying to get the Inspired Shades to work, but it was all for nothing. When I tried to involve the corporate office, I was told that they couldn't help.
All in all, I would say that you should stay far away from Budget Blinds unless you're willing to risk the same treatment that I received. It's just not worth it.

Of course, with COVID, I didn't know these salespeople, so I asked them where their masks were and why they weren't wearing them.
Bill's response was very unprofessional. He simply said, "We're done here," and they left. I was very disappointed with their behavior and lack of concern for my safety during the pandemic.
Despite this negative experience, I decided to give BudgetBlinds another chance. I contacted their customer service department and explained what had happened. They were very apologetic and offered to send a different salesperson to my home.
