Complete scam!
Complete scam! I mailed in a bag of clothes (good quality, still trendy, and some even brand new) clothes and they claimed none of it was in style, and they claim they had to donate it all to charity (which they then resell again!) Do not use!
Be careful!
Be careful! The Buffalo Exchange buy program is a scam. My husband left 50 high-end items, all new with tags or in excellent condition, to sell. They were designer brands. Because of COVID, he dropped them off. First, they couldn't find my name in the computer, and then I had to contact them for an update, only to find out that ALL of my items were donated. I will never go there again! My items were stolen!
I went to Buffalo Exchange in Montrose Houston, and the manager came up to me and said, "Remember me?
I went to Buffalo Exchange in Montrose Houston, and the manager came up to me and said, "Remember me? I kicked you out, grab your stuff and leave." I had my mask on correctly, and I was just shopping, not doing anything else. When I asked for her name to file a complaint, she wouldn't give it to me. I left feeling bullied.
I sent about 20 items, it took them 4 weeks to get back to me just to tell me that they couldn't buy any of my clothes
I sent about 20 items, it took them 4 weeks to get back to me just to tell me that they couldn't buy any of my clothes. I only sent in trendy stuff with no tears or signs of wear. I thought I could sell it at Buffalo Exchange 'cause I didn't wanna bother selling it myself, but I wish I had.
I had a terrible experience with Buffalo Exchange, Ltd
I had a terrible experience with Buffalo Exchange, Ltd. I sent them a bag containing 29 items, all of which were well-known brands like AllSaints, Diesel, Nike, and Gap. I patiently waited for TWO months to hear back from them, only to be told that they were not interested in purchasing anything from me. To make matters worse, they claimed to have donated all of my clothing, which was worth over $3k. I wasn't expecting a lot, maybe around $100, as I had sold to them in person before. This situation is absolutely ridiculous. To add insult to injury, they are now ignoring my messages and not providing any answers.
I sent a bag full of clothes 6 weeks ago
I sent a bag full of clothes 6 weeks ago. The clothes had brand names like Loft or J Crew. Today, on 02/08, they replied saying they couldn't buy any of the items. It feels like a scam because the items I sent were definitely on their list to buy. It seems like this company keeps doing this, where people send them brand name clothes and they don't keep their promise.
I went to Buffalo Exchange today with 4 pairs of nice shoe heels
I went to Buffalo Exchange today with 4 pairs of nice shoe heels. I barely wore them. They wouldn't give me anything for them. They were rude from the beginning. They are very racist in the store, the one at -15th and Chestnut. One young black man, they decided to give him $43 or $86 store credit and he had nice things. I heard them decide to give the white guy $143 for his things. It was so obvious they cater to their white customers better.
What a scam!
What a scam! I sent three big bags of clothes (lululemon, anthropologie) that I would totally still wear or buy if they fit, and they only gave me $3.50. Next time, I'll just donate my clothes to a local non-profit. I've also tried consigning in person with BE, and it felt like the staff were trained to go through my clothes and make me feel super uncomfortable, like I was naked and being pointed at in a nightmare. Never going back.
I sent about 15 things to Buffalo Exchange
I sent about 15 things to Buffalo Exchange. Surprisingly, they only bought 2 things and gave me $18. It costs $14 to get your things back. I think they do this on purpose. Anyway, I opened my package and there were only 2 t-shirts inside. So, 11 or more things are missing, including 2 Supreme t-shirts and a pair of adidas sneakers. I guess the warehouse workers took my things. I've had better experiences in the store, but don't sell by mail, they're scammers.
I agree with the folks who are criticizing the buffalo exchange clothes mail-in program
I agree with the folks who are criticizing the buffalo exchange clothes mail-in program. When I got the notification that they accepted one bag and one dress and were giving $7, I quickly googled buffalo exchange scam. I shop there 'cause I think nobody needs to buy new clothes. I specifically picked clothes to send that I've seen there. I'm sure some of the clothes they didn't buy will end up in their stores. And there's no way to know. I'm so disappointed. I won't be going back.
I went to Buffalo Exchange twice, hoping to sell some items from my bag
I went to Buffalo Exchange twice, hoping to sell some items from my bag. However, both times they couldn't find anything they wanted, even though I had some ideas after my first visit. The woman who looked at my clothes barely glanced at each piece, not even for a second. When I asked her what she was looking for, she said she could immediately tell if it would work or not. I've read reviews suggesting that their choices might be racially motivated, but I can't say for sure. What I do know is that every time I go there, they don't seem interested in anything I have to sell. It seems like a scam to me.
No more visits to be!
No more visits to be! Always bring in high-end shoes and clothes. Today, I brought in never-worn new Adidas running shoes... brand new, let me write again... nope. I've been to BE maybe 6 or 7 times and nothing bought... ever. But the comical aspect to this is that the clothes are awful... unattractive and not stylish at all, in fact, dowdy. So, after looking at racks and racks of boring ordinary clothes, I was not disappointed again, not selling anything once again. Never again to BE and I'll be sure to spread the word... this store is not only pretentious in their buying modality but the clothes are just awful.
SCAM! They took a big box full of my stuff
SCAM! They took a big box full of my stuff. Lots of it had tags, is in season and ‘trendy’ but they said they can’t sell anything. I asked for my stuff back but the buyer got all defensive and mean, refusing to give me anything valuable. It’s so obviously a scam. I'd rather give to charity myself than support this bad FOR PROFIT business. They lie in their replies to all these complaints. Hey Buffalo Exchange, don’t treat your sellers like they're dumb! We see the truth. Your actions prove it. You steal from people with money problems and act like you're so good. BS!
I sent a big bag of clothes with fancy brand names, and some of them still had tags on
I sent a big bag of clothes with fancy brand names, and some of them still had tags on. They only offered me like $5 for the whole bag, which is way less than what it's worth. I wasn't expecting a fortune, but that seemed really unfair, so I reached out to them. They told me they couldn't sell my stuff because it wasn't "in style". But all of the items were pretty new and some even matched the descriptions they gave of what they wanted. They specifically mentioned neon-colored dresses, and I had two super bright neon dresses, one of them even had a tag on it. It feels like they're trying to trick people who won't speak up or who don't want to pay for shipping to get their stuff back. They keep the items and sell them if you don't pay for shipping, which is how they make their money. It should be against the law what they're doing!
I am extremely baffled and, excuse my language, pissed!
I am extremely baffled and, excuse my language, pissed! Because of the current situation that we are affected at the moment (COVID-19), I lost my job and thought: "Hmm, maybe if I sell some clothes that I don't need anymore, I can get some extra much-needed cash." I went on, filled the bag with clothes that even I haven't worn yet, some from very nice brands, and how much did they pay me? 3 FREAKING DOLLARS. THREE! This is some bs and if I have known it would've been like this, I would've just kept my clothes and sell them somewhere else. They're smart because you either just "donate" the clothes that they decided not to buy, or pay $15 to get all your clothes shipped back to you. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT sell your items with the "sell by mail" with the Buffalo Exchange. They are scammers and thieves. I'm honestly disgusted.

The store is sellin clothing items that they havent paid for
The store is sellin clothing items that they havent paid for. The store took my clothing items, I was offered a dollar amount that was to be paid via Venmo within 24 hours. I went to the store after 24 hours, at this point, I had not received payment. I went to the store to pick up my items that they did not want to purchase and to ask about my payment. In the store, I was not offered an alternative form of payment, but was told accounting was figuring out what happened to payment and that someone would contact me. Three hours later, I called the store to inquire about payment, I was told that they were unable to make payments via Venmo, that they could not give an alternate form of payment (which would normally be cash) because of COVID. When I asked for my clothing to be returned, I was told by the employee Edgar (who I was told was a manager) that the items could not be returned because they were already on the sales floor, that he needed to speak with his manager. Update: Manager Chris just called, told me again that items could not be returned because not only could clothing be on sales floor but sold. When I told her that that sounded like they were selling clothes that they had not paid for. I was then offered a check for the agreed upon amount, which I accepted.
