Bulk Apothecary: Terrible Customer Service & Problematic Orders
This company is a major disappointment. I'm not a regular review writer, but I feel like I need to share my experience with Bulk Apothecary. In summary, their customer service is terrible. When you call them, you get a sense that they don't care about their customers. They sound bored and indifferent, like they'd rather be doing anything else than talking to you.
Unfortunately, my orders from them have been problematic too. They always seem to mess something up and they never want to take responsibility for it. If they do acknowledge their mistake, they insist that you send back the product at your own expense. Shipping can be really expensive, so this is a big problem if you're on a tight budget.
Speaking of expensive shipping, their "expedited" service is a total ripoff. For $128.00, you can get your order within 24-72 hours, depending on when you placed it. But if you place your order after 2:00PM EST, you're out of luck. I don't know about you, but I find this policy ridiculous. If you're paying that much for faster shipping, you should be able to get it whenever you want.
Another thing that drives me crazy is their favorite phrase: "We can't guarantee". They say this all the time, but it's just an excuse for not providing good service. And don't even get me started on out-of-stock products. They'll let you order something that they don't have in stock and you might not even find out for weeks. When you call to ask about it, they act like you're bothering them.
I've even tried talking to their "supervisors" about these issues, but they're just as bad. They're really just glorified babysitters who don't offer solutions. They're not helpful at all and they have terrible attitudes. The only reason I keep ordering from them is because they have the best prices around, but I'm actively looking for another vendor who can do better.
False Advertising and Terrible Customer Service: My Experience with Bulk Apothecary
I am writing this review because I am really upset with my recent order from Bulk Apothecary. I have been ordering from them for a long time now and I have never had any problem until my last order. I ordered the same foaming base that I ordered last month for my scrubs, but this time I received a Stephenson melt and pour base which is a completely different product.
I contacted their customer service immediately to raise my concern about this and what I heard back from them was really disappointing. Instead of acknowledging their mistake, they kept trying to convince me that the packaging was changed and that it was the same product. They even told me that the photos on their site were misleading which is completely unacceptable. False advertising is not ok, no matter how you look at it.
The customer service I received was terrible. It was not what I expected from a company like Bulk Apothecary whose products I have been using for a long time. They did not even apologize for their mistake and didn't seem to care about my concerns. The only thing they said was "Sorry you're unhappy with your order, I assure you that it's the same product". They were completely unhelpful and did not offer me any compensation or solution to make me happy.
I was really disappointed with the way they handled my issue. I expect better service from a company that I spend my hard-earned money on. They should have offered me a complete refund for the product that was different from what I ordered and for the false advertising on their website. I should not have had to ask for a refund, it should have been automatic. Instead, they argued with me and made me send back the wrong product to get my refund which is not fair.
I am taking the time out of my busy day to write this review because I want others to know what kind of service they can expect from Bulk Apothecary. I am really disappointed with the quality of service they provided me. They need to improve their customer service if they want to keep their customers happy.
Unreliable Service and Declining Quality from Bulk Apothecary
Yo, I've been using Bulk Apothecary for my bulk supply orders since like 2014 and they used to be the bomb, but lately they've been slacking. Like I'll order something that says it's in stock and then when I get my shipment, BAM, the invoice says it's backordered. Like what the heck am I supposed to do with that? It's too late at that point, and it's really messing with my business, which has been skyrocketing lately. And the quality of the stuff I'm getting has seriously gone down too.
I've been getting the same stuff from them for 5 years now, but all of a sudden things are changing. And if something is out of stock, that's cool, but I need to know about it so I can plan ahead. I've got other suppliers I use that carry the same stuff, so it's not a big deal, but Bulk Apothecary needs to let me know ASAP. And when there is a problem, they always have some BS excuse that they throw at me trying to shut me up. Like come on dude, treat me like a person, not an idiot.
If you're gonna use Bulk Apothecary, just make sure you have a backup plan cause they've been dropping the ball a lot lately. I can't recommend Jedwards International and Bramble Berry enough though, these guys are the BOMB. Their customer service is top-notch and I've never had a problem with them.
Bulk Apothecary: A Pandemic Superhero for Soap Making and Body Care Supplies
I been reading some of the other reviews about Bulk Apothecary, and I gotta say it's pretty discouraging. Seems like there's a lot of people who only started shopping here during the pandemic and are just writing bad reviews because their orders got delayed. But as someone who's been shopping here for over 5 years, I can vouch for this company and say that they're one of the best out there for soap making and body care supplies.
Every order I've gotten from them has been completely accurate, even when I'm ordering a ton of different things. And considering how heavy their boxes can get, it's amazing they've never shown up damaged. I've even ordered from them during the peak of the pandemic shutdowns, from February to April 2020. Sure, the orders took a little longer, but that's to be expected when the whole world is shutting down. And Bulk Apothecary was really good about communicating with their customers during that time, sending out lots of emails about the supply chain problems and extra work they were doing to fill orders.
Honestly, if anything, I think Bulk Apothecary deserves some kind of award for being a "Pandemic Superhero." They're a small family business that kept making and shipping hand sanitizer gallons when no one else could. So what if their delivery times were longer than usual? Customers should be grateful that they were still operating at all.
One thing I would recommend for Bulk Apothecary is to create an account before you place your order. They're much better about communicating with customers when they have a good email address. You can even log into your account and track the progress of your order and shipping. And if you need help, they've got a chat option right on their website.
So overall, I just want to say that Bulk Apothecary is a really good company with a long track record of happy customers. Don't be fooled by the bad reviews from people who are only complaining because of pandemic-related issues. Check out Bulk Apothecary for yourself and see why they've been around for more than 25 years.
Beware of Bulk Apothecary: Terrible Products and Customer Service
I gotta tell ya folks, I am super unimpressed with Bulk Apothecary. Like, I can't give them less than one star, but I really wish I could. I ordered from them, and when my package arrived, several of the oils inside had leaked all over everything else. So I asked for a return or maybe an exchange, but they told me I had to take a picture of the inside of the bottle first. Like, what kind of weird hoops do they want me to jump through? And not only that, but the oils that were leaked didn't even smell right! They were way darker and stickier than they should have been, and I swear they were cut with some cheap-o vegetable oil or something. I think they might even have been old and gross. I was so frustrated with their crappy customer service that I had to fight with them just to get a refund! They were so unprofessional and rude about the whole thing that I finally had to dispute the charge with my credit card company just to get them to listen to me.
And let me tell you, it's not just me. Bulk Apothecary has a terrible reputation in the business and employment world. They have a rock-bottom rating with the Better Business Bureau and have been accused of all sorts of shady practices by former employees. They're even under investigation for fraud, which I think speaks volumes about how they treat their customers. They claim to be all about good customer service and treating people right, but honestly I think that's all just a bunch of crock.
So listen up folks, if you're thinking about ordering from Bulk Apothecary, just don't do it. Their products are crappy and their customer service is even worse. They don't care about their customers or their employees, they're just in it for the money. And if you order from them, you're just asking to get ripped off.
Unusable sanitizer, poor communication, and wasted money: My review of Bulk Apothecary
I placed an order on March 18, 2020 for 1G of 62% ethyl alcohol sanitizer from Bulk Apothecary's website. They charged my credit card, but the next day the site status indicated that my order was still pending. It didn't change for about a month, so I decided to send a civil inquiry on April 9th. Unfortunately, I did not receive a response.
I tried again on April 14th with another message and mentioned that if I didn't hear anything soon, I would have to dispute the charge on April 18th. Finally, on April 15th, I received a polite apology email from them indicating that they understood if I needed to cancel the order and to let them know.
Within 17 minutes of receiving the email, I responded that I wanted to cancel. However, on April 22nd, I received another email saying that it couldn't be cancelled because it had already shipped. That was one week after I had requested the cancellation.
According to the tracking info, they created the label on April 16th, shipped it on April 21st, and I received it on April 23rd. The problem was that the product smelled really bad, almost like it was not distilled properly.
I understand the importance of having hand sanitizer during times like these, but I wouldn't have ordered it if I knew it would smell that bad. It was unusable and a gallon of it cost $60, which was a waste of money. I had ordered the 62% ethyl alcohol version, which had no indication that it was going to smell that bad. Additionally, somewhere along the way, the site had mentioned that they had changed the product and that it was possible to receive either the original version or a different one.
Eventually, I decided to purchase 99% isopropyl alcohol from another place, which only took four days to receive and cost $30 per quart with free shipping. I learned that sometimes incompetence is more likely than malice when it comes to companies like this. Overall, based on my experience, I cannot recommend Bulk Apothecary to anyone.
Disappointing Experience: Bulk Apothecary Failed to Deliver on Service and Quality
Look, I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with my experience with Bulk Apothecary. I placed this massive order for some lemon essential oil and other organic oils, but it took over two whole months for me to get my hands on that lemon oil. And let me tell you, without that oil, my essential oil spray mix was just not complete. To make matters worse, when I finally got around to opening up all those big metal bottles of oils, turns out the organic orange oil was all wrong. It was clear instead of orange, and had a weird menthol-like smell. Not exactly what I had in mind.
So I'm thinking, okay, no big deal, I'll just return it, right? But no, turns out their return policy only lasts 30 days. So I'm stuck with this stuff. And it's not like they have any kind of reasonable delivery policy, either – three whole months? What a joke.
And don't even get me started on their customer service. I tried calling their toll-free number, but all it did was route me to an email address where no one ever seemed to respond. Eventually I did manage to get someone's attention, but all they could do was blame their slow service on "booming business." Um, okay, but you do know there's this little thing called high unemployment rates, right? You could stand to hire some more people!
It seems like there's a total disconnect between their inventory and processing departments, too. Like, how is it that I could order the exact same product 2 months later, but still not receive it? And don't even get me started on their so-called "best prices," because they can't even keep their stock of spray bottles in order.
Honestly, I don't understand why they're advertising great service when they can't seem to deliver on it. Soon enough, people will catch on and spread the word about Bulk Apothecary's terrible service.
Bulk Apothecary: Consistent Out-of-Stock Issues and Poor Customer Service Drives Customers Away
Bulk Apothecary is a great company, but it seems that the owners do not care about the business as much as they should. I pity the customer service representatives as they take the brunt of it. Customers are always mad when items are out of stock or worse, they order it, and it is not available anymore, and they receive no explanation whatsoever.
Being in the business industry for over two decades, I understand that running out of items can happen, but it's another thing when their site runs out, especially when they still offer case quantities. They reassured us that they were going to synchronize their online inventory with their physical inventory, but it still hasn't happened.
We stopped ordering from them and went to their competitors for the lack of stock issues. We gave them another try, however, and placed an order a couple of weeks ago with no issues. They were on time in shipping and packaging, as usual, and their rates were the most budget-friendly when items were in stock.
We ordered bottles, caps, potassium hydroxide, and orange essential oil (16oz), but after placing and paying for the order, we received an email a few hours later stating that they shipped our orders. We double-checked the items listed in the details and found out that they only shipped three out of our four items. The essential oil we needed was not listed anywhere, and they refunded our money without asking if we wanted to wait for it to become available.
When we called their customer service, they confirmed that the essential oil we ordered was out of stock. They even mentioned that it would take a few months before they could restock it, if ever. They have been saying the same thing for six months now, and we still haven't seen any promises get fulfilled.
These out-of-stock issues have caused us to lose money and forced us to order from other suppliers with additional shipping charges. They have lost our business yet again, just like last year, when we experienced multiple order issues.
Another thing to note is their handling of negative product reviews. We tried to leave a negative rating on an item we had issues with, but they never allowed it on their site, making it impossible for them to receive a 5-star rating overall.
In conclusion, their inconsistent handling of inventory, lack of communication, and poor customer service have driven our confidence and trust in them away. They would need to do a lot more than have company meetings to fix the whole ordeal and earn our trust again.
Bulk Apothecary: Unapologetic Thieves & Fake Promises
My experience with Bulk Apothecary (bulkapothecary.com) was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I placed my order, I had a bad feeling about the whole thing. My package, which was clearly marked as a pricey apothecary item, "went missing" from a USPS hub in the city. I tried very politely to get a refund, but I was met with lie after lie from a woman named Michelle who seemed like a liar and a thief. She gave me every excuse under the sun in an effort to force me to wait longer. Every time I demanded my rightful funds back, she shot out a different excuse.
Michelle also told me that they had started a claim with the USPS and that "we" had to wait for that to close before she could claim double insurance money on my package. I understand that things happen, but I saw the package as mine because I had had an issue with something smaller from them in the past. Other reviews have also mentioned this classic scam. Their boxes apparently get stolen a lot because they clearly mark them and drown everything in fragrance oils inside.
They insisted that I take "store credit," but it was all just text on a screen that I couldn't use. I just figured that out unfortunately. So, it seems like they've stolen more than this from me. They never refund any real money, and I wonder why. I assume that no financial company is ever made aware of any problem on their end for tax and USPS reasons.
They keep your funds, tell you that they are going to try and claim your lost package, but that never happens. Then they just tell you to reorder and repay tax and shipping that is ineligible for a refund. I'm upset because I was overcharged for shipping, and they stole my tax and demanded that I pay it again.
This company seems to lack empathy and morality. They just want double money by claiming your package. They are unapologetic thieves who make fake promises and demand that you jump through hoops only to give you pennies of their pretend "store credit."
One of the fragrance oils I received was completely wrong and spilled all over my package, giving me a migraine. I took a photo and sent it to them, but they demanded that I put it on a scale and do all sorts of things just so they wouldn't have to fully refund me the $2.
I highly suggest shopping elsewhere, perhaps at Now Essential Oils or Wholesale Supplies Plus.
This company is crap
This company is crap. You cannot take orders from all these people and then turn your phones off and send bogus e-mails about how you cannot give updates on specific orders. This company needs to be investigated for fraud. This is absolutely ridiculous especially now when everyone is trying to get hand sanitizer. I placed my order on March 22nd and I am still waiting and sending e-mails requesting some type of update. The company is not responding to my e-mails. I would give this company ZERO stars. You are HORRIBLE.
I was told sanitizer in stock, 2 week lead. After 2 weeks when I inquired about a refund when I hadn't seen any communication about my order, I was told they now don't do refunds, but good news, they had it ready to ship. It has now been sitting for a week with a shipping label. I will be filing a complaint with Ohio ComplaintsBoard.com. Lousy business practices and terrible customer service round out my dissatisfaction with this company!
They are now selling "Germ Attack" hand sanitizer. This product has a miserable fragrance. I have tried to leave a review on their website, but it won't allow new reviews. Don't buy this sanitizer. It's garbage.
I went to purchase cotton face masks from this vendor. The prices were excellent. I only needed five. I was surprised to see a nearly 20 dollar shipping cost. Not ok, so I closed out the window. I was then contacted by the vendor who added me to their mailing list without my permission. Unethical shipping cost and breaking the law by adding me to their mailing list. I had to go to the unnecessary effort to unsubscribe from their mailing list.
Placed order, received 6 weeks later. Sent back and I'm still waiting for my refund. I also sent proof that item was sent back.
There's no sense of integrity, customer service, responsibility, or even care in this company
There's no sense of integrity, customer service, responsibility, or even care in this company. I wish I would have read these reviews before. They advertise that they have everything in stock, but, after placing my order on 3/9 (over 21 days ago), there have been no update, no tracking number or shipping info. They keep on giving me the run around and making up stories about my order is waiting to be shipped. All I'm asking at this point is for them to cancel my order and reimburse my card. I'm no longer interested in doing business with a company who is less than honest with its customers.
Received 1 gallon of gel sanitizer. It smelled like vomit. Never purchase again. No returns. $70 wasted.
Shady business practices, we put in an order and then learned through social media they changed the formula but didn't list the changes on their website. So tried to cancel the order 2 days later and since they stated it would be a 3week lead time figured it wouldn't be a problem to cancel the order. After we sent the request to cancel on April 30th. Today May 4th they expedited it then sent an email claiming it was to late since it shipped. Yet people who ordered a month before me were still waiting to get their orders. You can even read their Facebook comments people are livid. I will NEVER do business with this company again!
This company will not refund my money and I have a business to run and employees to protect. I have found a local company who has enough supply. I would never do business with this company again. There's no reason to keep a customer's money while they try to figure things out.
I placed an order for bulk hand sanitizer on March 23,2020. My order was shipped in the 2 week time frame I received at the time of order. However when I went to track my product, I received the message that product was damaged in delivery and destroyed by shipper. I immediately reached out to Bulk Apothecary asking what the next step was, and when they would be replacing my order. I received an email back that due to high demand they could not re-ship my order and would refund my money within 2 to 3 days. Not only did I not receive my order, but it is now May 5th and I have still not received my order. In a time when the world needs to join together and do what is right, I have no indication that this company had any intention to do so. Not only have I not received any product, I am currently out the money I paid as well.

We placed an order on 3/19 for a gallon of hand sanitizer for our clients and we still have no received the order or any response as to when we can expect to receive them. The customer service non-existent and they are not taking any calls and apparently emails either from customers. Their Facebook page is filled with comments with people in the same situation and there has been no response for them either. DO NOT ORDER from this company unless you want to give free money away. They should not be taking more orders yet are continuing to do so for their own personal profit. They also make FAKE shipping numbers. Shameful.
I wish I could give 0 stars for this company. We ordered a drum of MCT oil which requires LTL trucking services. Fine. We paid for the order with a CC, totaling to 1900+ dollars. Fine. We waited for an order confirmation. Never came. Waited 2 days to see any status updates on the website. Our order is still "awaiting shipment". Money was taken from my CC and processed immediately. Their phones are shut down right now due to "increased volume" so naturally we emailed them. No response. Emailed them 3 more times. No response. Finally, 2 weeks later, we receive a generic email blast that has nothing to do with my inquiries. I send them a reply asking again about my order status, and I receive no reply for the next week. Our company needed that drum by a certain date to make production lead time deadlines, and with this company not responding and having no other way of contacting them- we decided to call the bank, cancel the payment and moved on to another supplier. (who handled our sale within 2 hours and had it shipped the next day). I was going to let it go because I've been a customer with them since 2013, but finally today I received an email telling me that they don't even have the item in stock! They said they would reach out to me when they get a better idea of the ETA. What kind of shoddy operation is this? Needless to say, we moved all of our supplies we ordered from them to another company. It is quite obvious that this company is prioritizing their hand sanitizers over other orders, which only shows that they care about one thing, money. I refuse to do business with this company for any longer. All the past employee reviews on indeed.com or glassdoor.com, the reviews on ComplaintsBoard.com and google all point to one thing, and that's that this company is the absolute worst.
I ordered hand sanitizer on 3/9. My payment of $69.65 was processed that day. I was told to expect a 10-day delay in processing due to present circumstances regarding Covid-19. This seemed reasonable. I finally received notification that my order was shipped on 3/23 and was provided a UPS tracking number that listed status as "label created." There has been no change in this status in more than a month, as it is now 4/28. The company, Bulk Apothecary, does not respond to emails or phone calls. They continue to advertise their hand sanitizer on social media. Lesson learned, "buyer beware." Nothing to show for my $69.65.
This company, keeps lying to customers, saying they have items, when they don't, they keep taking money, leave customers with no communication, won't answer phone or emails. Other companies like them indicate when items are out of stock, they don't. They are thieves. Ohio attorney general needs to shut them down.

I placed an order for hand sanitizer on 3/20and the description said it was 10 day handling time before it would ship out. As of today, April 19 my order has still not shipped and they have not returned my email complaint. Order #________for $108.30. I need this order. My wife is a transplant recipient and has extremely suppressed immune system. And I see now that what we paid $44.95 gal is now $7.95 gal. This needs shipped immediately or refunded so I can purchase product elsewhere.
I ordered hand sanitizer on March 22 as it was in stock. It is now April 20th and they have still not shipped. No email ... Just says awaiting shipment. There are several bad reviews on Yelp echoing the same scenario. This company is a scam and taking advantage of the coronavirus situation. There needs to be a legal investigation into this company.

Thanks for nothing Bulk Apothecary.

I ordered from Bulk Apothecary on 3/19 with a 7 to 10 day lead time estimated on my order, on their website is says to reach out if you have no order confirmation after 48 hours via email, in which the reply came back with 10 business days. Currently it has been 15 business days, 21 days since my order and now they state it will be 14 business days lead time before they can ship and I can cancel now if I want (before all sales were final). When I look at my order now the SDS sheet and item ordered are a different item than what I had ordered (no notification or anything, different % of ingredients). On their website the lead time is up to 2 weeks and all sales are final. From a customer response perspective this business is in trouble, from a promise on delivery perspective I'm not sure how they have repeat customers.
NO MATTER HOW MANY DAYS BULK STATES ON THEIR WEBSITE REGARDING "SHIPPING DAYS OUT," THEY ARE LYING
NO MATTER HOW MANY DAYS BULK STATES ON THEIR WEBSITE REGARDING "SHIPPING DAYS OUT," THEY ARE LYING. (sorry for caps) They are raking in the cash, then updating their orders thereafter with delays that are even longer than what you were forewarned about--and ultimately settled for because of going through with the order. I ordered hand sanitizer with a "10-day out" for shipping...okay, fine. EIGHTEEN DAYS later, I received a follow-up (only after complaining) that orders were now out 12 to 17 days further out. I wrote again, essentially asking, "What does today's 17-day delay have to do with orders made 2 1/2 weeks prior?" They never responded. Obviously, "10-days out" was never true, to begin with. I'm now on my way to Paypal to cancel my order. (CAPPS NOW INTENDED) DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. IF YOU MUST, DO IT ONLY THROUGH PAYPAL; THEY WILL DEFEND YOU AND RETURN YOUR MONEY. I cannot even imagine what dealing with Bulk's return department would be like without the help of an ally like Paypal.
Ordered caps on 3/19 and said they are running 10-12 days behind
Ordered caps on 3/19 and said they are running 10-12 days behind. I inquired again and after 2 weeks they finally replied telling me they were behind due to sanitizer orders and I should see my caps the first or second week of April. End of the second week I asked numerous times the status of the caps being I have 7,000 bottles labeled and ready to fill with sanitizer we shut down our distillery to make 2 weeks later on the 14th they replied with the caps are still on back order and we have no idea when we are getting them. Not once did they tell me it was back ordered until I asked to pick them up. I would make the 2+ hour drive to get this out to the people! Now I have a community I have been updating because they know we shut down to produce. Had I known they were not in stock and on back order I would of made other arrangements and NOT waited a month with them telling me they were coming soon! The worst parts. They shut down their phone lines so you can not communicate with them unless you wait 10-12 days for an email response. Secondly, the caps are STILL available to purchase on their order page and no warning of not being in stock. Third, they still find the time to post items to get people to order on their Facebook page saying 10-12 days shipping when they can not stand behind it. During a pandemic you need to be truthful and tell people you do not have things!
I wish I could give 0 stars for this company

Misleading advertising and poor customer service from Bulk Apothecary
I was super hyped to shop for some great items at Bulk Apothecary. My first purchase was for some oil and boy, let me tell you, it was a great experience. Then I went all out and ordered a whopping 25 pounds of the incredible Shea Butter. Again, truly satisfied with the result. I was feeling really positive about being a new customer of theirs until I ordered some candles worth $60. They advertised this collection with a very strong woodsy scent and I was eagerly looking forward to lighting them up. But, as soon as I opened my package, I got hit with a big fat nothing! No woodsy scent whatsoever. The candles were nicely packaged with 3 wicks and a gorgeous top - ideal for labeling and selling - but what good is it if there is no aroma?
I immediately called their customer service hotline and Bridgette answered. At first, it seemed like I was going to get the support I needed. But as soon as I explained that the candles came with no scent, her attitude changed drastically. I mean, I am not one for confrontation, so it was quite unsettling for me. However, I told her straight-up that it wouldn’t be possible to label and sell a candle that has no scent. To which she responded, "well, you're in your 30-day timeframe for returns." Fair enough, I thought. Then, she took it to another level and said that they don't provide labels for returns and that I must pay for the shipping myself. At this point, I was flabbergasted. How on earth was it my fault that they sent me candles with absolutely no scent? But she kept repeating "it's just our policy", and I could feel my blood boil. It seemed that she had zero sympathy for me as a customer.
After putting some thought into it, I realized that if I went ahead with the return process, I would end up losing out on over $40, which was quite concerning. So, I made the decision to keep the candles and just use them for ambiance at an upcoming event - not the outcome I was hoping for when I initially ordered them.
I can't help but feel that Bulk Apothecary should not advertise what they clearly do not have. The whole experience left a sour taste in my mouth because of Bridgette’s nasty attitude. It is understandable that they have their policies, but they should also take responsibility for the defective product that they send out to their customers. All in all, while I had a great experience with the first two purchases, I think that I will be hesitant to buy candles from them again.
Disappointing Customer Service: My Experience with Bulk Apothecary
Yo, I gotta say, I've ordered some sick stuff from Bulk Apothecary (bulkapothecary.com) and I've been pretty hyped with the quality of what I got. But here's the thing, customer service is like the backbone of any dope business, ya feel me? Like, you can get good stuff anywhere now, so if you want to keep your homies coming back to you, you gotta treat them right.
I run my own business too, and I started getting a few of their ingredients for my own creations. First time I ordered, I paid for one-day shipping. But get this, it took a whole week for me to finally get my items, dawg. And then, when I go to pick it up, everything is messed up and spilled out. Like, I know some of this was cuz of Fed Ex, but when someone calls to complain, you gotta show some love and try to help, ya heard?
But nope, they didn't care about my struggles, yo. So now, I'm giving it another shot and I paid for two-day shipping this time. But, they ended up sending the items out later than they were supposed to, and four days later, I still haven't gotten anything. Like, what's up with that, bro? I checked the tracking and it says I gotta pick it up myself. But I paid for it to be delivered to me. And when I hit them up about it, they just gave me some lame excuse and there was no real solution. Like, they don't care at all and they're not willing to help a customer out. Bruh, if you ask me, that ain't no way to run a business.
So, I'm taking my business elsewhere, plain and simple. If you want quality stuff and good customer service, I suggest you do the same, fam.
Disappointing Experience with Bulk Apothecary's Order and Customer Service: A Review
Listen, I gotta tell you about my recent experience with Bulk Apothecary. So I put in a big ol' order for more than 250 bucks and guess what? They sent me two things I didn't even order and one of the bowls was messed up like no other. I sent them a bunch of emails and called them up, but they won't do anything unless I send back their screw-ups. They sent me FIVE POUNDS of corn starch instead of arrowroot powder, but now I gotta find the time to go 50 minutes out of my way just to send it back. And don't even get me started on their customer service. It's like talking to a brick wall. I wanted to talk to a manager but they ain't even getting back to me! It's like they work out of a garage or something. And let me tell you, a lot of the stuff I got was watery and just plain ole crappy. I'm super upset and disappointed. Like why can't they just send me what I ordered and paid for? And now I'm trying to upload some pictures, but it ain't even working. SMH.

Terrible Customer Service and Rancid Products: My Experience with Bulk Apothecary
Man, let me tell you about my experience with Bulk Apothecary. I ain't never seen such terrible customer service in my life! It all started when I ordered me some of that fancy butter they got on their website. When it arrived, I could smell it from a mile away – and let me tell you, it wasn't a good smell. That stuff was rancid, I mean really, really rancid. So, I called them up to ask for a refund and they emailed me a shipping label so I could send it back.
Now, I sent that stuff back unopened, but when I checked the foil top, it looked like it had been tampered with. I was pretty pissed off about that – I mean, I didn't want to touch that nasty butter, let alone use any of it! So, I got my refund, but it was $3 short. When I called to ask why, they told me some b.s. about how I'd used 3 ounces of it! Can you believe that? That stuff was so nasty, I wouldn't have touched it with a ten-foot pole.
Anyway, the customer service rep said that they couldn't override the refund because of what the "notes" said, but she offered me a coupon code for a future purchase. Yeah, right! Like I'd ever shop with those crooks again.
If you're thinking about buying from Bulk Apothecary, don't waste your time or money. Order from Amazon or Vitacost instead – at least with them, you get free shipping or free shipping with a $49 purchase. Trust me, you don't want to deal with this company – their low ratings speak for themselves!
Look, I know I might sound a bit angry, but I'm just really disappointed with the way Bulk Apothecary treated me. I mean, they tried to accuse me of being a thief, can you believe that? I ain't never going to buy from them again, and I suggest you don't either.
Unprofessional and Undependable: A Review of Bulk Apothecary's Hand Sanitizer Shipping
I placed an order on April 2nd on Bulk Apothecary's website for a gallon bottle of hand sanitizer. I was informed that due to the current situation, their shipping was behind by 10 days. However, it has now been 20 days and there has been no change in my order's status.
I've noticed that the company has removed their telephone number and is only responding via email with pre-written responses that do not help resolve the issue. According to their emails, the product may not be shipped until another month passes. Nonetheless, the company claims to have products in stock, but the staff is overwhelmed, and they can't fulfill the orders quickly enough.
As a customer, I would like to know why Bulk Apothecary continues to take orders despite knowing their inability to deliver them on time. Their website posted a 14-day shipping lead time, yet my experience and those of others on Yelp indicate that this is not the case. Other companies I've dealt with have stopped accepting orders until they get caught up with the ones already paid for. However, Bulk Apothecary does not appear to have this policy, and they keep taking orders despite their inability to meet delivery times.
In conclusion, I advise others to avoid this company. Though they appear to put on a good face, their internal practices are quite unprofessional and undependable.
Bulk Apothecary Review: Expensive Prices and Poor Shipping Makes for an Unpleasant Experience
bulk apothecary is like, omg, just ugh. they're so freakin expensive and their shipping is like, totally not cool man. i mean, i used them for a whole year but like, now they don't even care about us customers. like, for real. my last order was stuck in ohio for what felt like forever, like two whole weeks before i was like, "yo, what gives?" they reshipped it finally, but like, come on. and now my latest order was shipped with no signature and like, who even does that to new york city?! so, i called them up when i noticed it said it was delivered but like, it wasn't actually delivered to me. they're all like, "oh no, we need ups to investigate first before we can even think about reshipping or refunding you." like, what kind of customer service is that? i'm a longtime customer and paid good money for these products, the least they could do is take accountability for their mistake. but no, they're all about passing the buck. can you believe they didn't even click the "signature required" button when they shipped it out in the first place?!
i know i'm not alone in my feelings about this company. i looked them up on ohio bbb and saw they had like, over a hundred complaints. that's just not right. small businesses are cool and all, but not when they're greedy and don't even care about the customers who are keeping them in business. so, buyer beware, do not buy from bulk apothecary if you value your time, money, or sanity. cheers.
expensive? i just ordered a pound package of lecithin which cost about $3.00 for the product. anywhere else is charging $2-$3 an ounce. check with Amazon and see.
Bad Business: Overpriced, Low-Quality Hand Sanitizer with Slow Shipping and Sketchy Ingredients
Shipping times are pretty long, but we gotta remember the pandemic going on, ya know? But, like, it's not cool to say an item is "in stock" when it's not even available. Once I paid for the stuff, the estimated time when I was gonna get it got pushed back again and again until I was left in radio silence. Finally, after like six weeks when I was supposed to get the thing in two weeks, I got the hand sanitizer but, to be honest, it was worthless.
The hand sanitizer arrived in a well-packaged way, that's like the only good thing I can say about this. When I opened the gallon of the super expensive, fancy-sounding hand sanitizer, the smell coming out of it was like nothing I'd ever smelled before. It was grody! I mean, it was an overpowering stink of rotting vegetables that, like, no amount of essential oils could mask. There was a bunch of debris that looked like, IDK, plant matter floating around in the liquid, and it all looked super sketchy.
The company did offer me a refund, so I'll give them a couple of stars for that, but they only said I could send the sanitized-but-rotten junk back to them on my own dime or donate it to a hospital or something, and like, WTF man? That is not a real solution! It would have cost too much to send the thing back, and no hospital or school or whatever is gonna take some gross hand sanitizer.
I mean, I think maybe the company had good intentions, but they just didn't know how to deal when they suddenly had a whole bunch more business, or when they got greedy and started making stuff without quality control. The stuff they're pumping out could be actually dangerous for your health. Avoid them like the plague if you don't want to waste a lot of money and time waiting for some nasty stuff that will end up being poured down the drain anyway.
Stay Away from Bulk Apothecary's Hand Sanitizer: Review
I decided to place an order on Bulk Apothecary, hoping to get some much needed hand sanitizer during these hard times. Although the price seemed quite steep at over 50 dollars per gallon, I went ahead with the purchase. Unfortunately, due to the virus situation, the shipping was slower than usual and it took almost 2 months to receive my order. To my surprise, the hand sanitizer arrived with a revolting odor that resembled a mix of vomit, septic system fluid, and spoiled milk. I tried to contact the company through email, hoping for a solution, but received no response.
Feeling disgusted by the putrid scent and texture of the sanitizer, I decided to dispose of it. However, I had to be creative with my methods to ensure no one else would have to endure the same unpleasant experience. I buried one gallon of the hand sanitizer deep in the desert, while the other one I encased in a concrete pour for a bridge job.
It has been two weeks now and I have washed my hands hundreds of times but the stench from that one experience still remains on my hands. It's as if the scent has taken up permanent residence on my skin. If there is a bright side to this product, it would be the fact that you wouldn't need to worry about social distancing because no one would want to stand within 10 feet of you if you were using this sanitizer. I highly suggest you avoid this product, save yourself from the unpleasantness and the hefty price tag.
Bulk Apothecary's Dishonesty and Poor Customer Service Experience
First off, I placed my order back on July 29th. After getting excited to receive my pack, I was notified on August 1st via email that it was shipped, hooray! I picked priority mail and expected my package to arrive in 4 days tops, but it never did. I was quite disappointed and decided to check the tracking to see what was going on. Unfortunately, it turned out that my package was yet to be received by the USPS. Time passed and I still did not receive my order. I emailed customer service on August 8th and was told that my package was lost in the mail and that they’d reship it in a few days. Okay, I thought, not a big deal. I then asked for the new tracking info. The customer service rep told me that they'd ship it with the same tracking number. This seemed odd to me, but she insisted it was possible.
When I questioned this to the customer service rep, she got defensive and told me that she knew what she was talking about. It didn't make sense to me why they wouldn't be honest about the delay and instead claim that my items were already shipped when clearly they weren't. I even asked about getting a refund and was told that it wasn't possible. I felt like I wasted my money on priority mail since I still didn't have my package, and I wasn't informed about when it would arrive. It was the lack of honesty that really got to me. I've spent quite a bit of money with them in the past year and this was by far the worst customer service experience I've ever had.
In all honesty, the lady who answered my email doesn't seem to know how to do her job properly. She claimed to be a customer service supervisor, but I doubt her expertise in that area. If this is the kind of service that Bulk Apothecary provides, they might as well shut down their business, because this type of behavior will undoubtedly lose them a lot of customers.
Bulk Apothecary: Poor Customer Service and Lack of Transparency
Bulk Apothecary used to be my go-to website for purchasing ingredients for my business, but my most recent experience has left me extremely disappointed. I decided to place a large order last month, spending hundreds of dollars to ensure I had enough supplies for my upcoming production run. Unfortunately, the experience quickly turned sour when I received no shipping info after being charged immediately.
I reached out to customer service multiple times to inquire about my order's status, but each time I was given a different excuse for the delay. Despite being told my order would ship 'immediately' or 'tomorrow,' it never did. I was shocked to find out that they were entirely out of stock of the product I had ordered, yet they charged me anyway. It wasn't until I pressed for an update that I discovered they wouldn't have the product for weeks.
What's worse, Bulk Apothecary doesn't mark products over $150 as out of stock, which is absurd. Large orders, such as mine, are likely made by people running their own businesses. We depend on these ingredients to keep our production timeline on track for filling orders for our own customers. By not alerting us that the product we ordered was out of stock, Bulk Apothecary is making us look bad in front of our customers. They’ve taken our money and left us with no product to work with. This is unacceptable and makes it difficult for us to appear professional and reliable in the eyes of our customers.
After realizing I wasn’t going to receive my order anytime soon, I reluctantly canceled it and asked for a refund. It took a while, but eventually, I got my money back. Despite being a loyal customer for years, I won’t be returning to Bulk Apothecary. Their lack of transparency and poor customer service ruined my trust in them as a business, and I don't want to risk being let down again.
In my opinion, Bulk Apothecary should not be allowed to operate in this manner. Their misleading business practices are damaging to small businesses like mine and can have severe consequences for our reputation. I hope they'll take note of their shortcomings and do better in the future. Sadly, I can say that I will never buy from Bulk Apothecary again - a loss that's much greater than this one $400 order.
I placed an order for hand sanitizer with this company on March 16
I placed an order for hand sanitizer with this company on March 16. They stated on their website that they had plenty of product in stock and were working 24/7 to fulfill orders. I did note that they had a banner that said shipping would be ten (10) days, which I was okay with. I was supprised to receive notification from them on March 20, that the order was shipped on March 20, with a UPS tracking number. When I checked the status with UPS it simply said label printed. On March 26, I attempted to call their company which went immediately to a recorded message to contact them by email. I emailed the company since the status was still at label printed to check on the status and received a reply on March 27 top say that they were busy and had 10 business days to ship. On March 29, I got an email from them to rate their business on a product that has not even been shipped yet and I contacted them again by email on March 29. I received a reply apologizing for the automated reply and that my order would be shipped "very soon". Now it is April 7, and they continue to take orders everyday according to their website it is now a 21 day shipping wait. They do not answer the phone, and have not responsed to my email from today, April 7. I see from their Facebook page that this appears to be happening top many folks around the country. I also noticed one clain on their site that 4 gallons of the product was $127.00 with tax and shipping before the current crisis, and now $61.00 a gallon, with tax and shipping. I would like to receive the product that I ordered from them on March 16, but if they cannot ship it I would like a refund of my money. Their website also says no refunds on hand sanitizer, even though the cannot or will not deliver the product.

I ordered 40lbs of soap and received an email with a tracking number stating it was shipped. a few days later I checked again, and there was no information provided towards the movement of my order. I waited a few more days, then called their customer service number to which I was told she didn't know anything and couldn't give me an answers and placed me on hold to speak with her manager...that didn't occur until I called back and the SAME female placed me on hold again before transferring me to *** (manager). *** told me she didn't have any information and couldn't refund me my money because she has no answers. I am very dismayed, I do not have 188.88 to just give away because some company doesn't want to do their job. After repeatedly asking for a higher up supervisor or manager, I was told they were in meetings and had to leave a voicemail. I became very upset to which *** said she would send me a return label! THIS IS INSANE! All I want is my money back. I have a small business myself and NO ONE deserves to be treated this way.

I placed order that included pumice. Upon arrival of the package, the pumice bag was badly punctured and spilling everywhere in my home. I wanted to be reimbursed for the product as well as the handling/shipping fee. I never allowed to speak with anyone in authority and no one returned ANY of my many messages. I still have not gotten ANY reimbursement and customer satisfaction.
I am writing in regard to order #*** placed at bulkapothecary.com on March 22
I am writing in regard to order #*** placed at bulkapothecary.com on March 22. The order was for one gallon of sanitizer at a cost of $62.40 (which includes tax and shipping). At the time the order was placed, there was a banner on the site indicating that the product was in stock, but that there would be a 10 day delay, which I was ok with. The banner has since changed to indicate it will be more than 2 weeks. When I had not received the product last week, I reached out by e-mail more than once, because the phones are not answered. I received no response. There is no current way to get in touch with anyone at the company. On Facebook there are 1000+ comments regarding Bulk Apothecary on their site, and all have the same issue, with the majority being negative, and not a single response from Bulk Apothecary. It is in regard to lack of deliveries and lack of communication. If it was just a few comments, I would not mention it, but 1,000+ comments indicates a major problem. I have not received any confirmation that my order has shipped, nor received any tracking information. Comments on Facebook indicate that even when tracking numbers are supplied, that orders just sit there and are not sent. Bulk Apothecary states that they are shipping orders in the order they are received. However, Facebook comments indicate otherwise, as there are people still waiting for the same order as those who already received their order that was placed later. Bulk Apothecary claims they have stock, and they continue to take orders, although they are unable to fulfill the orders that they currently have. I understand that world events are affecting everyone, but the difference is that the majority of companies have stepped up their customer service, and are overcommunicating with their customers, while Bulk Apothecary has basically gone silent, and this is the only way to get a response.

I specifically asked a representative if I ordered an item could it be processed and shipped out so that I would receive it by Wed no later than Thu. I was told yes it was available and able to be done. I asked again.. not just shipped within a day or two after order is processed but order that day a Sun and have it processed and shipped so I would receive it by Wed Thu at latest. I was again told yes. Today is Wed and I had not received an email stating it had shipped. I went to the status link. It had not even processed. I contacted them. They informed me it would be 7-10 days to process. when I explained my conversation I was simply informed sorry nothing I can do. I told them this was not an acceptable solution as I had been out and out lied to by their company. I gave them the name, date and time of the person they spoke to.
I bought fragrance oil from Bulk Apothecary but was sent water instead. They advertised it as an oil but I got 25lbs of water. I was told I will not be issued a refund because it was on clearance. If I have gotten the oil that was advertised, I understand why I might not get a refund but I didn't get what was advertised. Please help me get my money back. I feel so pained to have paid for products from the US, pay the custom fees and duties and all I got was water.
I ordered 7200 caps for making sanitizer at our distillery on 3/19 on 3/31 I inquired when the order would be shipped and on 4/1 they replied
I ordered 7200 caps for making sanitizer at our distillery on 3/19 on 3/31 I inquired when the order would be shipped and on 4/1 they replied they were running behind due to sanitizer orders and I would see my shipment the first or second week of April. On April 7th and 13th I asked if I could come get the order as my community knows we shut down to produce sanitizer and we have over 7 thousand bottles labeled front and back and ready to fill. I am getting nearly 50 emails a day from first responders and community organizations asking if it is available yet. On April 14th nearly a month later they tell me they are on back order and do not know when they will even be getting any. Had I known they were on back order I surely would NOT of waited a month with a message they would be here in between to boot. Yet, these caps are still showing in stock and able to purchase on their web site! A month later I am scrambling to find caps form another supplier so all my money spent is not for nothing. They shut down their phone lines so you can not contact them. I was not that upset till I went on their Facebook page and saw they are still posting products for sale even though they seem to have an issue filling orders at the moment. Their automated phone message states when they are out of product they will let people know online that it is out of stock. I have a hard time believing that because I do not even want sanitizer I need caps for bottles we made and they didnt say it was out of stock. I have asked for my order to be cancelled and a refund given. I have not heard back yet but see people are not getting that part taken care of either. I realize they are swamped and it is uncharted territory but the cost of them flat our lying about my order for a month cost my community a lot of precious time to get this product to them and they really should stop posting items for sale and instead update stock available.

My family and I used Bulk Apothecary germ attack hand sanitizing spray immediately upon use we were bombarded with the smell of rot and ended up with severe headaches. I contacted the company asking for a refund. They told me the smell was normal. They called it a liquor-like smell. It did not smell anything like liquor it smelled like decay. Their solution was to donate this potentially problematic product and show them the donation receipts so they could send me a newer version of the same product which includes a lavender smell. They wanted us to donate this product to expose other people to this awful potentially unsafe spray. If the product was usable I would happily donate it. However due to it causing headaches and It's smelling like rot I do not feel comfortable doing so. We spent $120 on a product that smells like a rotting corpse and gave us headaches. I can't believe they asked us to donate this after we told them that it smells like rot and it causes headaches. This is incredibly shady and wrong.
I ordered two gallons of their hand sanitizer on 4/8. The first one I knew had a weak alcohol content, but I used it anyway, despite it smelling terrible. The second gallon was just opened in July, and it has no alcohol content, or extremely little. I get cuts on my hand at work all the time, and this hand sanitizer doesn't sting at all, despite the fact that every other hand sanitizer with 70%+ alcohol will sting when it hits a cut. I explained this to the business and they will not accept responsibility because the return window has passed.
I Ordered UNSCENTED Hand Sanitizer and my Order Reflects UNSCENTED. I Received SCENTED Hand Sanitizer that smells Putrid and Sickened both my Husband and Myself for several hours after using it. We are 69 and 71 years old and this was not a good thing to experience at our age and health condition. There are now Hundreds of On-line Reviews/Complaints indicating the Altered Product smells Horrid/Putrid and sickens others with Nausea, Headaches, Weakness, Gagging and other symptoms. We too experienced these symptoms for several hours. Bulk Apothecary did NOT advise that they were Changing/Altering their Hand Sanitizer and did NOT give me an option to Cancel, since it is NOT what I ordered. It is Impossible to Reach Bulk Apothecary. They have placed a Recording on their phone line indicating they are NOT Accepting Any Calls. I have called several times and continue to receive the Recording. I am seeking a Full Refund as the Product I Ordered is NOT the Product I Received and the Altered Hand Sanitizer physically sickens us.
Placed an order with Bulk Apothecary (www
Placed an order with Bulk Apothecary (www.bulkapothecary.com) on July 9th for a total of $1233.78. Contacted their live chat last week (today is 07/22) with a question of why my order still has not been shipped. I was told it will be on a delivery truck the following day. Contacted them yesterday again, noticing that the shipment status STILL displays as "Order Awaiting Shipment." Again, on live chat was given a runaround, without being provided with an estimated shipment date, reason for the unreasonably long delay, or any other details. My impression is that this company engages in selling items on their website that are OUT OF STOCK, and only engages in production or procuring of such items when the orders are received. That is short-selling, deceptive marketing practices, violation of consumer rights, and someone should take a closer look at their ledgers, online inventory being sold, and the ACTUAL INVENTORY IN THEIR WAREHOUSES. I think a few discrepancies would be found. Now, the above name company has over $1200 of my money, holding it hostage, earning interest on it, and I am stuck waiting for an imaginary tracking number when in reality they probably never had the ingredients which I ordered in a warehouse, and now are scrambling to get it produced, or purchased somewhere else to fulfill a 2-week outstanding order. Practices like these should stop and the online consumers MUST be aware of these issues before they place their orders at the www.bulkapothecary.com. I will strongly push for an investigation in regards to this company with their state and local officials since I do not find it fair or reasonable for a company such as Bulk Apothecary to operate their business in this matter. Class Action Suite pending, legal notice (please, contact me if you would experience similar treatment or circumstances). I am still waiting for my product to be shipped out (no tracking number yet.)

I purchased 3 one half gallons of hand sanitizer for my business and myself on 06/21 and was told the item would ship this week and I would receive it by Wednesday. I noticed on Wednesday, I had not received any tracking information and so decided to Live Chat with customer service and I was told that I would get a tracking number within 24 hours. I contacted them by phone because I needed this confirmed. I mean if they were out of stock that is all they had to say and I would either wait or go about my business. I was told that it would be shipped that Wednesday 06/24. I received an e-mail saying my item had shipped but when I went to look at tracking a couple hours later all it said was that it was labeled. Well, I wanted it until 06/26 and decided to look again. Nothing. I realized that they put my items in "tracking" to keep me from going somewhere else as I mentioned I would go to another vendor. I contacted them again through Live Chat and said I just needed an honest answer if they were out of stock and was told my item had shipped for me to wait 24-48 hours. I said it has been 24-48 hours. Then was told that could not assist me and wanted to esculate the matter to support. I asked for them to cancel my order and refund me. I was then told they could not refund because it was hand sanitizer. But it was never shipped and apparently it seems they are out of stock.
Ordered hand sanitizer from this company. Never received anything. Company will not reimburse or respond.
ONE of the numerous oils arrived with the lid not tightly closed, the oil leaked all over all the other the box and bottles
ONE of the numerous oils arrived with the lid not tightly closed, the oil leaked all over all the other the box and bottles. The oils arrived in plastic & aluminum bottles when it clearly stated Glass bottles. I contacted the business 9 times. I have 2 residence. The shipped date was much longer than stated at check out it arrived 2.5 weeks late. I opened several of the oils to check the quality since this was the first time buying from this company. The oils I checked smelled rancid. I check the color & found them to be the wrong color. I checked the consistency which was wrong. I know essential oils, Bulk's oils are rancid & diluted. I had to leave to go back to work & would not be at my Idaho home for another 45 to 60 days I called 9 times, explained my situation & I was told assured & reassured, with each phone call that Bulk Apothocary would accept my return & issue me a FULL refund once I was back at my Idaho residence & could return the oils. I stated I was not happy with the quality, smell & color of the oils, that they were shipped in plastic when it clearly stated the oils were in glass. I was promised repeatedly that once I returned the oil even being past the return date since I had contacted them immediately once the product arrived that I wanted a refund Bulk would give me a FULL refund. Bulk lied. I have not received a refund. I received a partial credit, the partial credit minus the cost of the oil that was not screwed & leaked all over making a huge mess. I told Bulk that I would not buy ANY more products from Bulk they are poor quality, are rancid & diluted. I do NOT want credit from Bulk. I want a full refund as promised numerous times to me by their lying customer DISservice employees. I want the FULL refund promised to me from customer service at Bulk. Not a credit. I won't buy their rancid diluted oils in plastic containers. Bulk Apothecary employees lie in phone calls, on their website. They falsy describe their products. Scammers!

I purchased a gallon of unscented hand sanitizer spray on 03/21
I purchased a gallon of unscented hand sanitizer spray on 03/21. The website stated at the time that the order would be shipped around 03/30. On 03/25, I received a blanket email saying orders were delayed and not to contact the company unless the order was at least 3 weeks old. On April 7, I received an email stating hand sanitizer gel was back in stock and so I ordered a gallon of that. At the 3 week mark for the first order, I sent an email requesting a status update and received no response. Periodically, blanket emails were sent out regarding how overloaded the company was with orders yet they continued to accept new orders which was incredibly frustrating as they were unable to ship my order in a timely fashion. I received the hand sanitizer spray after approximately 5 weeks and the gel after approximately 3 weeks. Unfortunately, after waiting all that time and after spending a sizable amount of money on the product, what I received was not unscented. Both gallons have a putrid smell. The sticker on the bottles say they are lightly scented with lavender but there is no lavender smell. It smells so horrible it burns my nose and gags me. Other people have smelled it and agree. I couldn't give this product away if I wanted to because it smells that bad. I have ordered hand sanitizer from 2 other companies that do not have this smell. In fact, I ordered it while I was waiting to receive my order from Bulk Apothecary and received product from both companies before I received any product from Bulk Apothecary. I feel that Bulk Apothecary got in over their heads and substituted an inferior product as a result of this overload. However, I paid a premium price for a premium product and that is not what I received, not was I informed the product was being changed. At the time I placed the orders, the website stated the orders were nonrefundable, which also feels deceptive since an alternate product was shipped to me. To date, both products are sitting on a shelf collecting dust because I cannot even unscrew the cap without gagging.

I purchased 6, 1-gal bottles of hand sanitizer for a total of 276.44 on March 22
I purchased 6, 1-gal bottles of hand sanitizer for a total of 276.44 on March 22. This was ordered for a home health care agency who provides in-home support for the frail and elderly. I was willing to pay a high price as the seller claimed they could have the product within 10 days. I have been unable to reach the company by phone as they are not answering calls. Their answering machine claims they still have plenty of inventory, and their website now seems to have a disclaimer that was not displayed at the time of purchase. When I email them, they're taking 2-3 days to reply. When I check on status online there is no tracking or shipment information. At first I had an expected ship date of 4/1. Then I was told via email they can't give an exact ship date and it could take 10-15 business days to ship. This past Friday evening, I received yet another excuse from them saying the following: "We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. We do not have an exact date, however, your order may ship out within the 3rd week of April. We have the inventory and we are producing and shipping around the clock, but due to the sheer volume of orders, it is currently taking up 2-3 weeks to ship orders. We are investing heavily in equipment and moving to 3 shifts, 7 days per week to ramp up the capacity to get more sanitizer to the market. We truly apologize for the inconvenience, we are however doing our best to be able to ship as soon as we can." It's 4/13, technically it is the 3rd week of the month. This company has resorted to saying that UPS is experiencing delays, as an effort to misdirect their customers' concerns. I'm not experiencing any other massively delayed shipments. Most of the recent complaints online are about shipments that have yet to ship from their distribution center (not regarding shipping times). They are denying that they ever gave an expected ship date according to their ComplaintsBoard.com responses. Also this company seems to--as a remedy to ComplaintsBoard.com complaints-- either blame the customer for not being patient, or ship the order as a resolution. This is extremely disappointing, and unprofessional.

First, I do understand that the COVID-19 has impacted this company tremendously and why I have been completely understanding with order delays,
First, I do understand that the COVID-19 has impacted this company tremendously and why I have been completely understanding with order delays, etc. I did not bother this company at all during the 1st shipment - only reviewed them with praise. And received exactly what was described - 1 gallon unscented hand sanitizer. Thank you! Then this company decided to change... I wanted to get a second gallon and when placing the order, noted that the packaging had changed - along with notes regarding the change: 1) this is the same product with a higher % (70%) of ethyl alcohol, and 2) there might be a possibility of receiving a different type of ethyl alcohol because of the shortages. So I emailed them and told them IF this formula is NOT what I previously ordered (and was extremely happy with) that I wanted to cancel the order. Well, no email reply and I received the shipment anyway. Knowing that they had placed a note on their website that any order of sanitizer could not be returned, I did nothing. Then I receive an email of a weekend-only sale offering 30% off - along with notes that 'the original formula is back', I decided to place an order before the end of the weekend to get the discount and followed it up immediately with an email explaining [again] that if this formula is NOT what I originally ordered (and was extremely happy with) that I wanted to cancel the order. Again, no reply. Followed up with the email again, and still NO REPLY. Within a week, I'm receiving this shipment - and it's NOT what I originally ordered, it's the same as the second shipment. So, this company has not only played games with advertising, the WON'T reply to email. Their phone has a message that states they can ONLY deal through email. I get the feeling of false advertising, bait-and-switch, or they just want to take advantage of people because they have so much inventory to get rid of.. Upon inquiring on returns, they replied within the hour... So, I know they just wanted to ship it so I couldn't return it. :( I feel this companies' procedures and customer service are biased toward taking advantage of the consumer and de-emphasize their customer service based on revenue generation potentials, with an excuse of the impacts of COVID-19.

Hand sanitizer was purchased from Bulkapothecary.com
Hand sanitizer was purchased from Bulkapothecary.com. The site mentioned that it was "UNSCENTED" sanitizer. What was received contains a foul smell that triggers my allergies, asthma and migraines. The product is not unscented and obviously contains chemicals. Additional label on the gallon of sanitizer states lavender scent. Also not true. Many complaints about the foul odor of the product. Can not be used can not be returned according to their site at this time. Emails go unanswered and bounce back depending on email address used. Sales does not care. In addition, they had given me a coupon code to use on my first order and that was never applied to my order. Email them about that and no answer. Their phones are turned off and you can not speak to a customer service agent. This is fraudulent abuse of customers during a pandemic. I am essential worker with health issues and a cancer survivor. I rely on sanitizer at all times, especially now. However, I can not use the product that was shipped to me. I want to be able to return the product by having this company send me shipping label and to get my refund of $66.76 which I paid for. This company was quick to charge my credit card and slow to send product. Also, this was to be unscented if there was a change in production or formula, then customer should have had the option to opt out. I have taken this gallon to my place of work and they too can not deal with the FOUL scent...neither can my family. I have tried to pour some in a clean container and mix with essential lavender oil and the foul odor of the product over powers the essential oil smell bringing me to vomit. This is an indicator this is full of chemicals that overpower any other scents. Reading the complaints, this is not an isolated incident. Many customers complain about the same problem. I want: refund of $66.76 paid for gallon of chemical which is not sanitizer and does not smell like alcohol like any other sanitizer used in the past. This company is deceitful and is scamming customers out of their hard earned money that is why their phones and emails go unanswered. My shipment was shipped from: 115 Lena Dr. Aurora OH 44202 I want a shipping label to return the product and refund in the amount of $66.76 I am hoping that you can assist with the resolution to this issue and help me get the needed refund

I ordered from Bulk on March 20,2020 as their website and advertisements stated they had product in stock and available to ship
I ordered from Bulk on March 20,2020 as their website and advertisements stated they had product in stock and available to ship. I have inquired several times asking for a status on when my order would be shipped but only get blanket statements about overwhelming situations they are dealing with. Nothing specific to my order. The shipping date when originally ordered was 5-7 days, then they updated with generic statements on their website banner to say it could be just over 2 weeks. The response on April 1 "Due to the high sudden demand for our hand sanitizer gel base, we are currently experiencing a slight delay in the fulfillment of orders. We are currently doing our best to meet the spiked demand. Our production team is currently batching more and should be ready to ship out within a couple of days. Please note that orders are processed and shipped in the order that they are received. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may be causing but we will ship as soon as we can." On April 7 I checked their website again and my order hasn't even started to process for shipping yet their website states that they have product in stock and are still advertising for more sales. I found them on several shopping sites claiming to have stock and their phone recording says they have the ability to ship within a 10 day period. Not cool so I messaged again asking for an update and wanting to know why they are falsely claiming to have stock and the ability to ship said stock when they clearly are not. The first response was "I"m sorry for the delay. We make the products in house and we are batching and shipping as quickly as possible. We have been on a 12-15 day lead time and your order should be shipping really soon and you will receive an email with a tracking number when it does ship out." The second response was "I do understand your concern and can appreciate the urgency to receive this product, and I promise you we are working as quickly as we can to get orders out the door. At this point, UPS is picking up between 2 and 3 truckloads a day and all of our staff are working overtime to get everyone their product. Please bear with us through these tough times. Everyone is feeling the pressure in these unusual times. We value your business and appreciate your understanding. If you need us to cancel your order please let us know and we will process your refund right away." So one stating they have to make the product and the second blaming UPS's high demand. This is outrageous. They are collecting money for all these orders they can't fill in any kind of promised timeline. They are advertising online to sell more but can't handle what orders they do have. They are not being honest and are just not ethical in their greed to make sales they can not handle. Currently the wording today directly from the order page for the product that I ordered: "*Current processing time for sanitizer is about 2 weeks. All sales are final so only order what you need. ORDERS CANNOT BE EXPEDITED. All product details are listed below so please avoid calling or emailing. We can't keep up with all the emails and call THIS PRODUCT IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR COUPON DISCOUNTS" This time is up by over 7 days when the original shipping date was supposed to be 5-8 days from March 20,2020 for the shipping cost I paid for.
