On Oct 9th At 1235 PM my girlfriend and I went into Burger King store #3381and ordered lunch. I paid with a hundred dollar bill. As the lady in charge that took my money handed me my change and my receipt without counting it I was talking to my girlfriend and was distracted, put the bills in my wallet and got our drinks and waited for a short time for our food. As we sat down to eat we realized our order was incorrect, so the only male employee there quickly corrected the problem and was very pleasant and professional. Upon finishing our meal I cleaned the table and put all trash in proper can, tray on top. I threw away the receipt when pouring our drinks. Less than an hour later when paying for groceries at Walmart I discovered I only had a 5 and 4 ones in my wallet. We went directly back to Burger King and asked to see the lady that waited on us and waited for her to finish her phone call. I politely stated my case with utmost respect and was confronted with a seriously disrespectful attitude from what appeared to be the manager. I asked her please watch the video from the camera mounted less than 7 feet above our head to prove her mistake but was told that the cameras dont work. She then took the drawer at my request and returned saying it wasnt over and she was calling the police. When the police officer arrived I identified myself as a retired law enforcement officer and what my complaint was. The initial officer on scene was truly a professional and informed us that it was a civil matter and would document the incident with a police report. after receiving the the report# we were escorted out by the second officer on scene, once outside he advised us the we were forbidden to return for life from this establishment and would constitute trespassing if we did. During that conversation the initial responding officer rejoined us and stated that the manager informed him that if she finds the money she will let the officer know. So we left knowing they must of mistaken us for scammers and realizing that we are out $80 living on a fixed income along with the public humiliation by the lady that was incredibly rude and unwilling to help remedy this situation.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate a review of the companies video tape by investigators to prove my case and a refund of $80 dollars. Thank YouT. Daniels [protected]
