Luckily I noticed the small, white card in the mail that notified me of a "renewal" for a membership I didn't know I had in Buyer's Edge, 250 E Devon Ave, Itasca, IL. Back in 2011 somehow we got snagged into a membership for $99 each year while making a purchase with Company Kids catalog. Buyers Edge claimed it was something they offered over the phone...

Buyer's Edge Still waiting for my replacement refrigerator - been 6 weeks

I ordered a small refrigerator through Buyer's Edge (BE) on 1/10 to replace my broken one. The refrigerator arrived DOA (broken wire on back). I called BE customer service and first thing, I was told they can only exchange it, so I gave the CSR my info and was told I'd be contacted by the delivery company to schedule pickup in 1-2 days. I waited 3-4 days for the call and finally I called them to schedule, only they never received the order to pick it up. I called BE and they apologized and said they'd make arrangements and call me back in an hour...nothing. After multiple phone calls and promises, I finally got the broken unit picked up...and I waited. On 2/17, more than a month after giving them $400 of my hard earned money, I called BE again and they apologized, but claimed they never heard from the delivery company that the unit had been picked up. She confirmed pick up and claimed she placed the order for the replacement unit and promised me that it would ship the next day (Fri.) or the following Mon. Tuesday arrived and I had no shipping confirmation, so I called BE again and the CSR assured me the order had been placed and is being processed - 'just hold for a minute and I'll get you a tracking number.' I was on hold for a few minutes before the CSR returned with my tracking number, so I went straight to the delivery company's website to track the package and it looked like the order had been placed that same day. I called the delivery company to try to schedule my delivery, but the CSR said that they hadn't received the confirmation that the unit was available in the warehouse. I asked if there was any way to expedite that since the order was placed last Thursday, and she responded that “it looks like they are entering the order right now.” It is now, 2/22 and I still have no refrigerator, but they promise that it will ship soon...yeah, right.

I will never purchase anything from Buyer’s Edge, ever again, and if you’re smart, neither will you.

BE WARNED. We chose 'Buyers Edge' for their low prices and promised ability to furnish numerous Bosch appliances for a major install. Numerous major delivery issues. Damaged return problems. High prices for ‘advised’ hook-up cables/hoses (naturally included with all the appliances). Then to top it off the Lady on customer service was rude, divisive and...

Is Buyer's Edge Legit?

Buyer's Edge earns a trustworthiness rating of 67%

Generally safe, but check closely before sharing details.

Our conclusion: Buyer's Edge's operations, reviewed by ComplaintsBoards, appear mostly legit but with some concerns. Be careful and read customer feedback before dealing with the company. Negative reviews may indicate potential risks.

The age of Buyer's Edge's domain suggests that they have had sufficient time to establish a reputation as a reliable source of information and services. This can provide reassurance to potential customers seeking quality products or services.

Buyersedge.com has a valid SSL certificate, which indicates that the website is secure and trustworthy. Look for the padlock icon in the browser and the "https" prefix in the URL to confirm that the website is using SSL.

However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:

  • Buyersedge.com has relatively low traffic compared to other websites, it could be due to a niche focus, but could also indicate a potential lack of traffic and popularity. The buyersedge.com may offer a niche product or service that is only of interest to a smaller audience.
  • Buyer's Edge protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.
  • We conducted a search on social media and found several negative reviews related to Buyer's Edge. These reviews may indicate issues with the company's products, services, or customer support. It is important to thoroughly research the company and its offerings before making any purchases to avoid any potential risks.

Buyer's Edge Sells products they don't have

Buyers edge advertised a GE cooktop with a good price. I called instead of just entering an order on line since I read many reviews that said these guys were flakes. They took 15 minutes to get to me on their sales line - wow! then they told me they do not carry this unit even if it is on their website. Wow! I am sure they would have taken my credit card on line anyway. Stay away from these flakes. This definitely reminds me to research the vendor before placing any orders on line if you do not have experience with the vendor.

Buyer's Edge Charges withdrawn from my checking account

They got my CC number from a purchase I made through Sky Mall Magazine. Said at the time I called I agreed to a 30-day trial "membership: to UMG Edge, and it would continue if I didn't cancel before the 30 days were up. I called both UMG Edge and Sky Mall Magazine and both have promised to call me and play back the phone call, but I haven't heard from them since. NEVER agree to any "trial memberships" over the phone. They count on most people not remembering to cancel before the trial period runs out, and will charge your account until you catch on. Good luck trying to get a full refund at that point.

Buyer's Edge Stealing

Buyers edge automatically signed me up for their service when I made an online purchase, they never informed me of this, just started debiting from my account. They hide their debits so they look like regular purchases. When I called to find out who and what they were, using the number in the transaction, they couldn't tell me how to actually use their service or what their service is! They will only refund 89 dollars and their customer service argues with you and is rude if you confront them. Check every statement, match every reciept and be careful with all online purchases!

Buyer's Edge Giftcard scam

When I called my credit card company to ask a question about my card, they offered me a Buyers Edge membership free trial with a $50 VISA Giftcard for signing up which you will supposedly receive even if you cancel the membership. I cancelled and sent in the form for the giftcard, then they sent me a letter saying I need to send back the enclosed form to "register" for the giftcard, and it will only be a $25 giftcard, THEN they will send me another form for another $25 giftcard when I receive my first $25 giftcard. Sent the form back and they sent a DIFFERENT form this time - "Registration for a giftcard registration form". I have to REGISTER for a REGISTRATION FORM?!?! Sent back 3 forms with MY envelopes and MY postage - still no giftcard. It's like they are going to keep sending me forms until I give up or have spent more than the giftcard's worth in time, envelopes, stamps, etc. These forms they keep sending look different each time, but they include the exact same information as the other forms I've already submitted, which indicates that they had all the information they needed to send me the card in the first place, but they just want to keep overcomplicating things so they don't have to send a giftcard. WHAT A SCAM!

As a result of a kitchen remodel, on October 19th we purchased a complete Samsung kitchen appliance package ($3.6 K) including a frige, stove, microwave and dishwasher from online retailer BUYERS EDGE (dba BUTTERFLY PHOTO) located at 1764A New Durham Road, South Plainfield, N.J. 07080 / Tel [protected]. Buyer's Edge The product that arrived at my home is simply not as it was described on the website

Ordered a frigidaire gas range from buyersedge.com. Called and specifically asked about finish (silver mist vs. stainless steel). Was assured by Victor in customer service that silver mist was stainless steel. The product arrived and not only is the color a painted finish that does not match the rest of the appliances but it does not match the picture of the product online. The product that arrived at my home is simply not as it was described on the website and by their customer service. The supervisor in customer service, Danny, was terribly rude to me, refused to do anything but would check into the recording of my phone call with the customer service because he didn't believe me. Conveniently their recording system wasn't working and Danny will not return my calls. To top it off the customer service department is closed when their own recording states it should be open -- in other words good luck getting a hold of customer service if you need it.

I was a first time user of buyersedge and I was very dissappointed. First my orrder for an "advertised" $1600 webber 670 BBQ was accepted then a sales person "Justin" calls me the following day and advises that they can't ship it because the manfacture only ships the 2011 model and I was to be charged an additional $100-$200. This obvious bait and switch so that this company can allege they have the lowest on-line pricing is a FRAUD.
The advertised $1600 webber 670-S is still posted-SHAME.
*its too bad I really wanted the BBQ*

Buyer's Edge Scam

Buyers Edge is a scam. They got my account information from a purchase from another company. When I called (and spoke with someone calling herself Luz) she said I agreed to join a free 30 trial from an online offer and after that the I was charged monthly ($14.95 per month). I never knowingly joined Buyers Edge. They said they would only refund the last deduction which was made yesterday. I think my personal information got snagged by Buyers Edge when I purchased a product from Youthology Research Institute, LLC, of Los Angeles, CA 91403. Which by the way, Youthology set me up for auto shipments without my knowledge and said there were no returns/refunds on auto-shipments.

Buyer's Edge Fraudulent Charges

This company charged me $99.00 on my credit card back in 2007. I didn't notice it until they again charged me this month on the same card for $149.99. I immediately called Discover and they put a 3 day hold on it until I could get ahold of Buyers Edge and straighten it out. I did get thru to Buyers Edge and they said the $149.00 charge would be taken off, but it's too late for the $99.00 one because it happened last year. I asked where they got my card number and he said I had ordered something thru Domestications and authorized these charges, which I did not. This company is a rip-off.
Buyers Edge is the parent company of Domestications. I will never ever buy from Domestications again!
