warranty work
Camping World Headquarters July 10, 2018
Good morning.
Our 2017 Trailer has been at the Vacaville, CA. Camping World facility since April 15, 2018 - three (3) months now - to repair a (1) collapsed duct in the floor HVAC system, (2) bathroom door incorrectly installed & crooked, (3) refrigerator leaked and heavy smell of ammonia on the first day of a 3-week trip to the Northwest in March 2018.
We bought the 2017 Keystone Bullet Model 248RKSWE - chassis # 4TDT24821HX426574 in July 2017, brand new. Tried to make an appointment to make warranty repairs in October 2017. There was a huge backlog. Had to wait till March 2018, then again in April 2018. We dropped off the trailer, no movement on repairs for (2) weeks. PARTS, PARTS, PARTS. The shop will not fix anything until ALL the parts have arrived. Now waiting on a cross member for the floor HVAC. I have spoken to them over a dozen times and they have called me.
DO NOT blame Anzra in the service department. She is the hardest working person in the entire building. She is not the problem. Turnover, people quit, warranty disputes amongst manufacturer and Vacaville, etc.
I have been more than patient, trust me. We are retired and on a fixed income and trying to enjoy what we couldn't do when we were younger. Can someone PLEASE help me? Ignacio & Margaret Perez 925/783-8284. [protected]@comcast.net
Praying for a favorable response.
Shop Work Order is 18095.
2018 hideout fifth wheel
We bought our camper in June of 2018 and we have had nothing but problems. For one the battery will not stay charged. It has power hooked up to it don't understand. I have called Byron office to get this fixed. But they don't seem to care after you make the purchase. We didn't finance anything we paid them with a cashier's check. When we got it they couldn't find the keys the vacuum wasn't in it. The remotes weren't in there. I had to go buy remotes to use tv and radio. Not real happy with camping world right now. I am gonna give them til the end of Wednesday to let me know what they gonna do about it if not herd anything by then I will be getting my lawyer involved. It's crazy that you pay 35, 454 dollars and can't even go camping cause your camper isn't right. Thanks for listening and maybe something will get done without having to take action. We just don't give our money away freely.
2018 heartland pioneer fifth wheel pl 3 vin 5sfrg3722je378480 (no access to rv)
To Whom It May Concern,
I Purchased a 5th Wheel June 11th 2018 from Camping World, Las Vegas Nv. The 5th Wheel was to be delivered to me June 18th as I had plans to take my family on vacation. It was delivered June 19th without a call to let me know it would not be on time. The 5th Wheel was delivered across the street, not on my property but on a neighbors property. The keys were given to my mom, which were not the proper keys to the 5th Wheel, as I could not get in it to open and inspect it. At time of Purchasing 5th wheel, I also bought and paid cash for an air conditioning unit which was suppose to be installed before delivery, which was not installed. I called Camping World, told them about the issues, they told me they would be out the next day to pick up the 5th Wheel to install the A/C unit. I heard nothing from them for 26 days leaving messages and being hung up on by Thomas Gal amongst other staff . I left messages with Joseph Milliron, Thomas Gal, Mike Holsie, Brad Mercer. These are all the employees I dealt with while making my purchase. NO one responded. Needless to say, I was unable to go camping with my family, took off work. Lost wages. mother was to be living in the 5th wheel. She is living with me in my studio apt.My This is one of the main reasons I purchased this 5th Wheel, so my ill mother can be comfortable. It's been a month and it is not unaccessible.
This is only stage one of my problems with Camping World and their employees. Finally a call back on the 17th day, after I sent an email directed to all the above names. They came picked up the RV on June 3rd 2018, took it back to Vegas 4 hour drive, which is wear and tear on the vehicle and tires.
They brought it back, July 5th 2018, driver backed into my gate, railing came off cement slab. Cement cracked. So they installed A/C (problem), where they installed it, in bedroom, the bathroom door won't open fully because door is hitting A/C unit. Also ceiling stips in bedroom falling apart, and pieces of wood in kitchen coming down.
My 1st payment is coming up in 2 days. I have not even had a chance to use the vehicle. I not only purchased this to go camping, I also purchased this so my disabled mom could live in this. How can she live in a vehicle without opening the door to the bathroom? I am trying to contact all of the above persons named above for an answer, to no avail. I would like to be compensated with reimbursement of cost for my A/C I paid cash for, first months bill to be paid since I have not used the 5th wheel this month, and for the 5th Wheel to be satisfactory repaired with phone calls reassuring it's to my standard. This is not asking to much considering what I have lost.
These emails below might be repetitive, but I wanted to include everything including pictures.
to Joseph.Milliron @campingworld.com
Please read this as this is pertaining to You. (Fifth Wheel from Camping World {CW} at 13175 Las Vegas Blvd. So. Las Vegas. Nv. on June 11th 2018. ) I Paid $4000. as a down payment.
The unit Was suppose to be delivered June 18th 2018. Was delivered on June 19, 2018. At time of Purchasing RV I also purchased an extra air conditioning unit in which CW was to have installed before delivery. I paid cash for a/c in the sum of $943.00 . When delivered they left parietal keys, with limited access to RV. in which I have limited access to enter the unit. RV was parked across the street on a neighbors property. I called Camping World in Las Vegas the very same day June 19th after it was delivered to let them know I don't have correct keys. Camping World said they would come out on Wed. June 20th to give me correct keys, and to take RV to install air conditioning unit. June 19th came and went, No key, no word from CW {Camping World} I have called Camping World on a daily basis, and have left numerous messages with no response. I was dealing with a Mr. Brad Mercer, and Mike Holsie and Thomas Gal. Upon speaking with Thomas Gal, he hung up on me. Brad Mercer, and Mike Holsie have yet to even attempt to return any phone calls.
Also on section 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 form REG 343 rev 2/2012 www my name was forged.
The basis of purchasing this RV was to go on vacation with my family right after it was delivered. I was unable to go on vacation and not only wasted my time planning it, but what a let down to my family.
I also purchased it for my elderly ill mother to live in after I returned from my vacation. The RV has been sitting across the street since it has been delivered, I am afraid it will soon be towed, or vandalized.
My 1st payment is coming up soon, and I haven't even been able to view the inside.
I am sure I will not receive any contact back from any one in this email, as I have made several attempts to contact you during your business hours, with out any contact or messages back from anyone at CW. I am simply writing this email to each individual I have mentioned above as proof and documentation that I have continuously made attempts to resolve this issue with no response from any one's name in this email, or anyone at CW.
Please send this message to all employee's who's name is on this message.
Thank You.

2nd email for 2nd problem
Today is July 6th 2018. I am writing this email as proof and documentation that I have tried to make attempts to resolve another issue with you regarding the 5th wheel I purchased from camping world on June 11th. I sent you an email Yesterday July 5th asking you to call me. I have yet to hear from you or any of your staff.
Issues with 5th Wheel as follows:
Picture 1. Air Conditioner installed, bathroom door hits A/C unit does not open.
Picture 2. " "
Picture 3. Stipping on ceiling, in Bedroom
Picture 4. Wood pieces falling from 5th Wheel in Kitchen from traveling to and from.
There is an issue with the air conditioning you installed in the 5th wheel. You installed the a/c in the bedroom and the bathroom door hits the air conditioning unit so that the bathroom door does not open. It opens slightly. A person cannot fit in through the door. Didn't your person installing the a/c examinge the unit after installing?
I am inserting pictures for you to see for yourself.
A few other issues: The stripping on the ceiling of the bedroom is coming apart. I am not trying to be nit picky, but I paid a lot of money for this 5th wheel and I expect it to be complete upon arrival.
Upon bringing the 5th wheel on my property, the guy driving it hit my gate, and the railing came off the cement, making the cement crack.
I have a question re: the 5th wheel. Why can't you send someone out here from either Vegas, or San Bernardino Camping World to fix the issue, instead of taking it all the way back to Vegas.
Today July 6th is the first day I finally open up the 5th wheel to take a look at it. Its been 25 days since I purchased the 5th Wheel, and STILL have not been able to use it. My payment is coming up soon. I expect an answer ASAP.
I would like for you send this to your corporate office, as I will do the same to make sure it gets there.
Mr. Milliron, I am trying to work and communicate with you. But in order to do so, you have to work with me too.
Seriously would you be happy if you bought a 5th wheel and had so much problems such as what I am going through?
Again, this is the 2nd email I have sent you, and I would appreciate if you would forward this to Brad Mercer, Mike Hosie, Thomas Gal. I would gladly appreciate a call from ANY OF THESE PEOPLE.
pull behind camper
We went to look at a camper 3 weeks ago at camping world in Oxford Alabama. We didn't intend on buying. We wound up getting a pushy salesman and he kept insisting that we buy. We did give him a $500 check to hold the camper and told him we would let him know if we were going to buy the camper the next week. We did not sign any paperwork at all. We want our money back now. They will not call us back.
ordering rv furniture
I spoke with Camping World regarding the purchase of a sofa for our motor home. They referred me to the manufacturer, Lippert, and I did so. I was very happy with Lippert as they gave me details on the sofa that Camping World could not and because I wanted the sofa delivered at a later date they said to advise Camping World and they will pass that information to them because the sofa is drop shipped right from the factory.
I did so. After making the purchase, I emailed and called Camping World. When I spoke to their associate I was shocked with her attitude...You cannot do that, she exclaimed. When I told her what Lippert said, she exclaimed that I should not have spoken to Lippert. I explained that a Camping World associate told me to call Lippert. She then spoke to a manager and then said that she was cancelling the order. OK, this is the road Camping World wants to travel, so be it. But the next day I received a confirmation from Camping World that the order had gone through. I called the number provided (different from original number) and followed the menu to existing orders and their phone just hung up.
If this is Camping World's new way of doing business, they better wise up. The competition is great and Amazon as just one example does a much better job with customer relations and customer service. I was never yelled at by an Amazon associate. Amazon now handles Lippert Sofa's so they will get my business and Camping World will lose it and much more business as the word gets out.
jayco jayflight slx
We purchased a new Jayco Jayflight SLX from the Greenwood, IN location. We pulled it home and while we were driving I noticed the electric brake controller didn't have a numerical display. I checked the wiring on the controller and tow vehicle, and both were fine. Then I checked the trailer wiring and found the brake wiring on the axle, not connected. Just two bare wires hanging there. So I emailed the salesman and he said "that's a service issue, and I would have to call the service department." That's it, no apology or offer to assist or accommodate or anything! I'm not sure how a brand new trailer slipped through a pre-delivery inspection without functioning brakes?
So now I'm told I need to bring it back ~80 miles for service to repair the brake wiring.
I'M NOT A HAPPY CAMPER!
traveling trailer
I bought a brand new traveling trailer about 3 months ago at camper world Berkley Ma .the funny thing is that place suck from sales, service and the managers t here is only one person that is good there which hos name is Steve Outlaw he is good I'm going to tell you a little bit about my experience with that place just last year I bought a traveling trailer the sales man that I got was bad je just wanted to sale his first name is Robert forget the last name o know he still works there he told me that traveling trailer was the right for my truck well no it was the wrong one it was to heavy for t he truck so me and my wife went back and meet Steve outlaw he was the nicest person he looked and said that we would do a trade and give me the right traveling camper for me so we did the only problem is your service dept never checked if the camper had any problems so I took the camper we went camping to find out that there was no power in the outlets and fridge has a problem. They never checked if the waterline and hot water was working properly the radio does not work right and the outside speakers don't work so I'm very pissed off as you can see know the best part is they told me to bring the camper to them so then so they can fix it but the problem it has been there all ready for three weeks and nothing done I'm going camping this Sunday for a week but I don't got a camper paid for the camper ground and tickets to go to Hershey park with my family and we can't go because the camper that I got can't use it because it at your shop I'm very upset and pissed off I don't know what to do I thinking of talking to my lawery about this so can someone from your company call me me at [protected] the camper is under my wife's name Paula medeiros Barbosa and it is also in my name Peter Barbosa hope to here from some one from your company soon Thank you
replacement window didn't fit/cost to return item
I ordered the window May 11 of 2018. The window in question here is item # 108969. The Slim Shade Unit. The replacement window offers a clear tinted glass with a folding shade inside to provide privacy and bloke light. The replacement window is supposed to replace the window that comes stock on most RV doors. The replacement window specifications on the company's website and in the catalog did not indicate a thickness measurement or tolerance required for the door. I tried to order online and was notified that I needed to call the order in. The representative stated that the item was backordered and would be sent as soon as it became available. All specifications that where offered on the website and catalog indicated the width and height of the window cut out. No thickness measurement was offered. After receiving the window, we tried to install it but quickly found that it does not fit the thickness of this door. Okay, so I'll just return it. The item was repackaged in the original box and prepared for shipping. I called the customer service number and was told that I would have to pay for return shipping even though the problem was no fault of ours. The shipping cost me almost half of the cost of the window. My husband is a professional carpenter and would have made sure the window would have fit if the proper dimensions had been given. I have mentioned this incident to a few other RVers and have heard the same complaint from each of them. I believe the return shipping should be covered by the company especially if the information is not advertised in full or if it is no fault of the customer. My order number was 1773977.
2017 keystone cougar camper
I am really discourage about this camper and the service we have been getting. We spent so much money on this camper things are not being fixed or being fixed half assed and we keep having to take to camping world to get things fixed. Our warranty runs out next month and we still are dealing with stuff that was said to be fixed or was fixed but not fixed right. We took our camper in last October to have a bunch of warranty issues fixed. We had many calls from camping world parts are in when can you bring camper up. We told them three times they had our camper ok well I will go look again but couldn't find the camper. This is [censored]. Then it was getting cold out so we wanted to know if they were done nope hadn't even started so they said they were going to winterized because they had not even started and some parts were ordered wrong. We finally got our camper back in Jan February time frame. We had to take back up because the sink in bathroom was still leaking so my husband took a pic to show them we finally got it back again they fixed the leak but underneath the cabinet the wood is water stained and warped. Then we told them about the couch not shutting properly well nothing has been done about that then we also told them about the trim around the wheel well my husband had to put screws in it because they never fixed that and it almost blew off. Memorial weekend we used camper and the shower started leaking everywhere found out the shower area was not winterized so we finally got them to come out and fix them the next week we went out the turn on valves started leaking everywhere and then 2 weeks ago we went camping again and found out the lines under camper that lead to the shower are leaking everywhere. I have called yesterday and today and no one has called me back. We also told them about the stove burner but they said nothing wrong. There is something wrong because it starts a fire underneath the plate of the stove. They were supposibly fixed the toy hauler door and ordered parts but now we have to slam because it runs and won't shut right. We spent all this money and all we have had was problems with this camper and people fixing things half assed. Our warranty is about to expire but no one cares. I am very disappointed with camping world and right now will never ever buy or recommend this company. I am tired of nobody returning my call or fixing issues. Please contact me by [protected] to help resolve these issues. I am done. Someone needs to call me to make this right before I call people up line or better business bureau. I am tired of being screwed around.
class a rv purchase
I bought a Class A RV from Camping world in August 2017 and have had continuous maintenance issue since the purchase. We did purchase the extended warranty and while the warranty has covered much of the cost for the maintenance, we have still spent thousands in repairs. Frustrations of cost along with several delayed trips and having been stranded on the road three times, once for several days.
We purchased this RV to use, although the RV has needed more time in the shop than on the road. I don't know what the answer is but we are very dissatisfied and significantly concerned over the long-term ownership prospect.
Currently there are several open maintenance issues and based on previous experiences, I expect the RV will need a month or more in the shop and other shops to correct the open issue along with several thousand dollars in cost over what the extended warranty will cover.
List of open issues
• Brakes Do not work correctly, have had them worked on two times and still not corrected. Very Dangerous ?$$
• Main cabin A/C issues not cooling correctly $270
• Refrigerator - Freezer not cooling correctly ?$$
• Large full-length slide-out alignment/operational issues along with associated damage to fabric, seals, locks, frame, body paint, sheet metal, slide floor etc. Appears the warranty may will cover some of the repair cost, will likely still cost me at least $1200 over warranty coverage. If not covered by warranty the cost will be several thousand$ to repair.
• Gray tank meter indicating incorrectly $150
• Engine A/C has been recharged three times since purchase, there must be a leak. $?
• Chassis unstable causing the RV to rotate wildly side-side over uneven road surfaces, repair shop suggested it needs maintenance and replacement parts to correct. Several thousand $$$$
• Chassis Jacks not leveling properly ?$$
• Intermittently when turning on leveling jacks, error message for low voltage ?$$
• Leaking shower door at lower frame ?$$
• Water heater intermittently fault when on Gas
• Mount for Trailer brakes not holding the brake unit.
List of closed issues
• Engine Cooling Fan failure
• Engine Thermostat failure
• Engine Turbo Charger failure
• Failure of two leveling Jacks
• Washing machine failure
• Front Tire failure
• Trailer lights intermittent.
And finally, at time of purchase the Extended Warranty was originally written up incorrectly and explained incorrectly resulting in the loss of 1 yr of coverage after the fact. Originally 60mo coverage at time of purchase, then later after purchase/closing maintenance contract revised to 48mo with added mileage limits.
class a jayco precept bought from camping world columbia sc
We were told to drive our camper 1 time then bring it in for any issues we found. We drove it to florida and found the refrig not working. Someone had broke the fender when we purchased it. They repaired it but it came back apart before we made it home from the dealership. The steering is messed up and pulls. We gave them a long list of issues and told them we needed it back within 4 weeks because we have a trip planned for the 4th of July. Checked at 1 week and it hadn't even been moved. Checked at 2 weeks and it hadn't been moved. Here we are a week from our trip and I doubt it's been moved as of yet. We have shopped at Camping World in Columbia SC for years but this is the first time we purchased a camper from them. BIG MISTAKE. We have purchased campers from 2 other dealerships in the past with no issues. You'd think if you pay $115, 000 for a camper they would care about their customers.
service department in houston still working on coach for six months.
We bought an Cyclone 4200 an needed warranty work done on a list of things . I dropped of my coach on Jan 31, 2018 and it is still not finished. In February and March I was in contact with the service department and they told me they were short on techs because of the RV show and boat show. The coach was being serviced for a list of things such as led light replacement, door panel replacement, molding and wallpaper panels. I am also connected with the Manufacturer Heartland rvs. In May I asked the service department what was taking so long and they replied that they were being sent the wrong parts. I contacted Heartland and to my disbelief they informed me that the first request for parts was not submitted until mid April. This is over 3 month since I dropped it off. I called again to Camping world an the service department told me that the last part was order so I called to get the tracking number from Heartland. The part arrived on June 12 to Camping World. Our couch was supposed to be ready Mon the 18th. I went today to pick it up and arrived at 3pm and was told it would be 20mins. At 5pm I was told the were cleaning it, then at 6pm they left it on the front lot. My family went out to inspect the coach, it was not clean with greasing hand print all over( took pics) My wife looked in the coach and ceiling panels that were ordered BEFORE the last order were not installed. We walk back into the store and asked for Matt the service manage but he went on a personal erran to to get his personal vehicle. We asked Brittney to call him and she did(nice lady). We explain that this was unacceptable and that something must be done. He replied that we should take it and bring it back. WE live 46 miles away in Crosby Tx. I told him no, you have the parts you need to put them on. He replied that it may not be tommorro and kept stating "what if" they can not finish it tommorro instead of assurring me the work would be done. At this time it is 7pm and I need to get my family home and told him it needs to be resolved by tommorro or I will take further action. On our way out I wa ask to hook my couch to my truch and move it back into the gates because their was no one to do it. I have picture and video of me doing this. My question is why was it not a tech on hand to walk us though the work that was performed before letting everyone go home. Final word, Matt was aware of this the entire week. If someone would please call us tommorro it would be appreciated. clyde [protected] and cynthia [protected]
I have tried to load pics and vid but some will not load I can send the when you contact me. the pic here are just of the exterior conditon when they tried to get me to take it today.
we too start pickiting ther rv shows
Camping World supplied me with the absolute worst customer service experience of my life. I am sure that Camping World will never lose the number one spot of “worst customer experience of my life”. A half a day warranty repair ended up taking six months and was only completed then because I got the local media involved. Dozens of unreturned calls, empty promises and flat out lies, lies, lies.
If I was in need of toilet paper, I would drive hundreds of miles and pass by dozens of Camping World locations before spending one more penny with this terrible organization.
Yes, it was really that bad.
service department
I bought a used camper 2012 Keystone Outback, from a friend of the family who had bought it from Camping World when it was new.
I called and made an appointment to have it inspected and serviced. When I got there on March 8, 2018 for my appointment the service advisor and I went over EVERYTHING I was looking at have done. (45 pt inspection, slide service (3), pricing to remove carpet and replace with hardwood, fix the bathroom floor, fix the 2 disconnected lines under the kitchen sink, slide toppers, wash the outside, see what came up on the inspection that needed fixed, etc). He said it would take them a couple of days to do the inspection.
After 2 weeks I still didn't have any idea because they had not even looked at my camper yet nor had they even called me to give me an update.
After 2 Months I went in and spoke to the General Manager Wes, and he called in the Service Manager Danny. I was told they would get to it and get back with me the next day May 9, 2018.
We went over everything they found in the inspection and the things I wanted done but they still did not have the answers on a couple items I had pointed out on the bathroom floor and the disconnected lines under the kitchen sink. I was promised they would make my unit a priority because I needed my camper by the end of May.
The service advisor, the service tech, and myself went over what he would need to do to remove the lanolium and toilet to check the bathroom floor and the items to be fixed, but I still did not have prices on the 3 slide toppers. (When I went in the beginning of March I had a coupon for free installation of the toppers and the service advisor supervisor Ed-I think is his name, said they would still honor the coupon even though it would be expiring the end of March. They keep the coupon with my paperwork but now they have lost it. )
Needless to say they have only completed a couple of items, the service advisor I was working with is no longer at the Woodstock location, and now they can't honor the coupon for the toppers because they don't have the SKU #.
The service advisor called and gave me prices $3, 690.64, so I went in and the service andvisor, and the Tech, and I went over things again. There were still items that needed to be ordered like the slide toppers (plus purchasing the toppers, the washer/dryer combo unit, the 2 Honda generators).
The bathroom floor has not been completed, the replacing of the outside kitchen faucet, completing the install of the washer/dryer combo, etc and now they are saying they have a bill of $6, 109.07 holding. I went in on Monday of this week (which is past the time I was told they would have my unit ready) and tried to go over things with the new service advisor Scot E and he ask me to come back on Tue around 9:15 so he could find out more information since it was past closing time.
I went back Tues morning but it turned into a BIG ordeal and I was there for several hours and finally a different manager, Matt Brown, came out and said the toppers had not been ordered and they could not honor a coupon they did not have, and I was holding up the service Advisor. And he said if I made a complaint it would not change anything because the complaint would come to him and he couldn't and would not do anything to work with me on the toppers and installation! The General Manager, Wes, is out of the office for another week and a half.
So my camper is still not completed, Not even close on the original items agreeded on, and now they are giving me a price of almost $16, 000.00 without the slide toppers.
used unit warranty is a farce
I bought a 32' Fifth wheel at the end of the season. When I went to use it after the winter season I have numerous things that don't work. Toilet does not hold water, microwave has a dead short and flips the breaker as soon as you it a button, oven won't light, water heater switch is stuck in the off position, one slide comes out as you drive. Their solution, "Leave it and we will give you an estimate to fix it." The line that the salesman gives you that they go thru it and everything is guaranteed to work is a lie. The GM never answers emails and never calls back. All you get is a condescending service writer. I will never buy any thing from them again and will do my best to let others know so they don't fall into the same trap.
service department, employees
We currently are stationed In Florida as my husband is in military now. My father is a disabled veteran and lives in North Carolina and goes to the VA hospital there. He is suffering from congestive heart failure and lung cancer and is frequently in the hospital. I brought my camper up from Florida to keep it at a camp ground that was close to the hospital so it would be easier to come and go seeing my father. We put our camper in on April 9th for warranty maintenance and we are sitting in the parking lot in June 15th and our camper still isn't finished. My husband has called over and over and was told 1 more thing needed to be done was waiting on shipment. We drove up on June 9th thinking to pick it up by Monday and we are still waiting. We were told over and over again things were done and they have not been. We have called and called and people would not return our phone calls. We have been lied to over and over again and they never put notes in their system to update any information my husband has every single phone call listed on his cell phone that he's made from where he's called over and over and over again and were told yesterday one thing was finished and we came in this morning we found out nothing was done except for one thing and we even let them know ahead of time that we would be here at 9:30 AM it is now 11 AM And no one is even working on our camper
I think I need to contact the Better Business Bureau myself. They ripped us off for $2000.00. When doing up the payments on the trailer did they not let us know what all the cost were included in the payment until the end. By then some how the shop got told we want the proctectionspray on the trailer with out us even knowing what the cost was. Made them take everything else off. We had to wait 6 hour and the trailer had not even been detailed even though they knew we were coming 150 miles to see the trailer. Then they tired saying they did detail the trailer and they had not. They had left some very private information of the previous owner. We did call them to let them know what we had and what to do with it. Plus on top if it the trailer needed a new ac-heater controller panel and was suppose to have it sent to us. Well got a email today telling us they order the wrong one and need a picture of it so they can order the correct one. Never ever will i tell anyone to go to them and I will never go back. I do believe I need to contact the BBB myself! PEOPLE STAY AWAY . We went to the one in Idaho Falls ID.
My parents are currently in the same boat as you are in. I’m furious with how they have been treated. They have been lied to, ignored and have given them the run around since April. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau about this and will not stop there.
sales
Saw a used motorhome on a Saturday, called on following Monday and put $1000.00 down on credit card. Told salesman it would take at least a week to transfer funds. He said no problem. I kept in contact again that week to update him and he was no longer there so I was transferred to another salesman and explained everything to him. The money was transferred but put on hold by my bank so I again called and explained to the salesman that I would be able to pick up the vehicle on the following Saturday to which he said was fine.
Later he called my house and left a message saying that the motorhome had been sold over the weekend!
What is the use of putting a down payment on a vehicle just to have it sold out from under you! What they didn't know is that my wife cashed in her 401k retirement and took a substantial hit on our taxes to get the money!
They did refund my down payment as they said they would, which is the smartest thing that did in this whole transaction!
employees at the greenwood, in location
We purchased a Jayco Jay Flight SLX from the greenwood Indiana location on 6/5/18. The online sales price for this camper was $16, 990. When my husband brought home the signed paperwork it states he camper was $21, 385.00. As you can imagine we called and texted the salesman, Sam, to see what happened. Now we are being told that difference was freight, prep and a hitch. This was never discussed and this is not acceptable. It took them days to even respond. I would like a response back as to how this is possible and if this is the general acceptable practice for your locations. Jeff and Stacy Kingsbury

Purchased camper new on March 30, 2018 from the Camping World in Monticello, MN. During the walk through, items were identified that required warranty work. They promised the warranty work would be done in a 2 week period. Returned to Camping World after two weeks expecting our camper to be repaired, only to find out it had not had any work done. This was very disappointing, since we never received any correspondence from the service department in the two weeks prior. Also, we had to drive 127 miles one way, since this is the closest Camping World to where we live. During the next two weeks I had to call every other day to ensure our camper was being repaired. Finally we were notified that the repairs were complete and we went to Camping World to pick up our camper on April 30, 2018.
On Memorial weekend we took or camper out for the first time. When we left the campgrounds on Sunday May 27, 2018 the canopy wouldn't return fully and blew 2 15 amp fuse before finally getting it to retract enough to travel. On Memorial day May 28, 2018 we took the camper back to Camping World to have it looked at and repaired. The service rep. created a work order with a promise date of June 6, 2018. Since my first experience went to so well I decided to emailed the service rep. on June 4, 2018 to find out what the status was on the repairs. It is June 8, 2018 and I haven't received an email or phone call. I also called and left a message for the service rep on June 6, 2018. Again, no reply back!
My wife and I are at a point where we just want to return the camper and give our business to someone else. They didn't treat us like this before the sale. Why would they treat us like this now! Very disappointed and frustrated with the Team at Camping World in Monticello, MN.

customer service
We purchased an extended warranty and because the warranty wouldn't cover a problem on our 2018 jay com jay flight we canceled the warranty on 5/8/2018. We called
Good Sam and they said we would have to get ahold of camping world to get the money back. I have called camping world three times and have not received a call back to see where the refund money is. It has not been sent to my bank as was told to us by good Sam. I would have never purchased a brand new rv from camping world had i known their customer service was so bad. I just would like a call to see where my warranty money is.
