Horrible service, insensitive staff
1.Branch manager always missing
2.Requested assistant manager to see a family tree legal document that was earlier submitted as part of a death claim closure of an account.
3. He readily agreed to help and disappeared thereon after asking his other staff to look into it
4. The other staff members pretended to be busy.
5. After 4 days of waiting at the branch, no file or doc retrieved.

I'm a Senior Citizen holding a Fixed Deposit with you, My A/c Number is [protected]. My FD got matured in 23/07/2023. I have numerous attempts to call your toll free number and customer services number but I have not got any response so far.
This is an absolute appalling service to senior citizen customers of your bank.
Can you please advise me the status of my FD at the earliest, failing which I would be forced to file my grievance to RBI & Ombudsman.

I am writing this letter to bring to your notice that I am facing a problem with the SMS service of Canara bank. I have registered my mobile number with the bank for getting SMS alerts for all transactions and balance updates. However, for the past few days, I have not received any SMS from the bank, even after making transactions or checking my balance.
This has caused me a lot of inconvenience and anxiety, as I am unable to keep track of my account activity and balance. I have tried calling the Canara bank helpline number [protected], but it always disconnects after a few seconds.
I request you to kindly look into this matter and resolve it at the earliest. Please ensure that the SMS service is restored and I receive all the SMS alerts from the bank without any delay or interruption. I also request you to provide me with a written acknowledgment of this complaint and inform me of the status and action taken by the bank.

Cannot log into nre account at all. Credentials provided invalid
One of the worst banks if not the worst bank. It's been 10 years that they cannot help me with a user ID and password to operate my NRE account. Yes, no matter how many calls and emails. Incompetent, inept and unhelpful staff in the Frazer Town, Bangalore, Branch. The Manager I met in April 2018 was a disgrace. The staff were no better. Horrible.
Since I failed to get access through net banking after a year of trying from USA, in 2018, I went to the bank with passport, passbook and photos, and still they were not able to help me. Not even to log into my account. They were not interested in helping me either. These inept, clueless people are getting paid for doing nothing. Disgraceful is too good a word.
So I went to meet the Manager to explain my problem. The Manager just brushed me off telling me 'you go there', they will help you. He spends his day in the cabin talking on the phone and admiring his computer screen. One of the worst banks if not the worst bank you will ever encounter. It's been 10 years that they cannot help me with a user ID and password to operate my NRE account. Yes, no matter how many calls and emails. Horrible service in the Frazer Town Branch Bangalore.
Now, they tell me by email that the NRE account is dormant and I have to provide them with all sorts of documents in order to activate the account. They want DL, passport, Aadhar card, PAN card, photos etc. If I am the accountnholder whose documents they already have, how could it change now when my name is the same. Keep in mind that they could not provide me valid account credentials to log in online and use my account. Yep and I worked in IT for 30 years, but these donkeys are like in the stone age. Even Yahoo and Google help resolve login issues in few minutes.
Desired outcome: Need access to login to my NRE account. Need mynNRE account to be activated.

I want to inform you that my son was working at Jalandhar during the period of co-vid19 pandemic. my son has lost his / retrenched from his service this was the main reason to become my loan bad now my son started working at Mumbai and making arrangements to clear the over dues in the loan account with me at the earliest. My wife has also suffering from kidney infection and got stunt in the kidney after getting second co-vid19 vaccine dose her condition was detoried for the last some years she also need proper medical and personal care further my elder son is not independent because he is a spastic and is hundred percent dependent I am also pensioner (65 year old senior citizen) also depositing some amount (EMI) every month which I have already mentioned above in spite of this bank employees are harassing me and threatening me to possess my house. Number of times I visited branch office and regional office Jalandhar city Punjab but every time Branch manager and Divisional manager insulted me and threatened me.
I am getting calls and so many messages from the bank even on holidays and at night. I am in great tension if something happens to me or my family? Who is responsible?
I humbly request to you Sir/Madam please look into this matter and give me some more time to clear the dues and stop legal action.

Regarding home loan auto deduction for emi
Hi,
I was opted housing loan from Syndicate bank a six years back. After Syndicate bank got merged to Canara bank, have visited Canara bank last year and asked them for auto deduction, after reaching bank itself they started auto deduction. Now again its not happening. So what is issue for auto deduction. this will make us to pay extra interest for bank loans. Can you please let us know what is problem with this bank.

Worst Netbanking
Canara bank is one the worst banks in India. Useless netbanking application. It's very frustrating. I've been trying for several weeks just to withdraw some money. I was told to get two debit cards? One for nre the other for nro, ridiculous. Fine, then tried to transfer to other bank. I had to enter login ID, password, trans password, otp, debit card#, code. Then error popped up. I beg canara bank please close my account.
Regarding arrogant behavior of Asst General Manager in Udupi Maruthi Veethika branch
Respected Sir/Madam,
Last week, I had been to this branch to make payment (Cash payment machine not working) and after one hour informed this gentleman about the cashier(very slow..she took one hour for 10 customers, people without tokens were given preferences, people who had token after uswere given preference since they knew the employee etc).. This gentleman instead of coming and talking to customers, he was all over the phone and did not even bother to come and talk. If this is the support we get from a nationalised bank, how will they support people who are illiterate and all. In addition, none of the employees welcome customer with a smiling face and help them. Always they are arrogant and make people move around nook and corner. I have personally faced this a several times and wanted to bring it to your notice.
Misbehavior of an employee on inquiring about an issue
I had applied for a study loan few moths back. I submitted all the required documents that were needed but it took a long time for the loan approval. After the approval of loan the employee, Mr Saumodeep Mitra, Manager (Credit) ensured that now there wont be any inconvenience and we can contact him whenever I get a fees notice from my University. Yesterday I received the fees notice from the University which is due till 28th Sept 2021, so I called him several times to inform about the matter but he kept on declining the calls then after sometime he called back and yelled on me saying "why are you calling continuously, I am not well". And then he hung up the called without even listening about my problem. And now again I need to run from table to table for the payment of my fees. The employee was very sweet spoken at the very beginning, but now he is not even talking in a proper manner. A strict action should be taken against such employee who doesn't have the decency to talk to the customer of the bank.

Debit card despatch
MY old debit card has expired and I am glad that Canara bank has dispatched new one, without even a request. I was happy, but short lived. the new card has not been linked to my account is useless even as a tongue cleaner.
even after couple of reminders the card could not be linked to my account and simply advised to come over to the branch and collect non personalized card, if it is emergency. I thought o it is not an emergency and waited for over a month to see that the personalized new card is linked to my account.
what a pathetic performance of the bank. the mobile app is also incredibly stupid. the captcha is in black shade with thick lines and blurred in such a way that you will need a cryptographer to read it. people of 50 + cannot do mobile banking with such a captcha style.
God save this bank. But I am helplessly locked.

I tried registering complaint in online public grievance redressal but the horrible website is not accepting any complaint instead shows page error. I tried frequently but the result is same. Toll free number is never connected. Fd deposits in joint account is not visible in the online account statement so wanted to complaint regarding the same but neither the number works nor the complaint redressal is working.

I have transferred the amount from my axis bank account to Canara Bank account on 8th SEP 2020. The amount is deducted from my axis account and they have provided transaction number to contact Canara Bank. Homeloan - considering moratorium without my permission
Being a Nationalized Bank and even though I have confirmed that I should not be considered for Motatorium, they are imposing Interest on Interest on me. Funds are also available and I have reminded Manager many times, still Bank Manager of Canara Bank, Vivekananda Nagar Branch is very negligent and doesnt act on it. I dont know how the additional Interest charges will be adjusted.
I am afraid if a Nationalized bank is not worried about their loyal customers..
