Proline 14.1 Notebook
Good day
I purchased the above mentioned laptop at Louis Trichardt Cash Crusaders and it was working. On the 20th of June when my daughter tries to connect it only displayed proline on the screen and it went off. She put it on charger and shows proline brand and it went off again. I returned it to Louis Trichardt Cash crusaders on the 21st of June and they told me that they will take it for repair and they were going to contact me when they receive it back. Today 05.07.2023 I went to inquire and I was told by the manager that the motherboard is damaged and I was going to carry the cost for repair since it was a physical damage. He contacted the technician in my presence and he said that the cause of damage could be the charger/ it damaged motherboard during the process of charging or due to loadshedding. Please assist as I can’t pay for something that wasn’t caused by my use and it is not physically damaged.
Your urgent response in this regard is anticipated.

A washing machine that I bought at empangeni branch
In Dec of last year I bought a defy washing machine and 5 months and 2 days this washing machine broke , and we were mis informed about the machine and because it was a new one on purchase , we called defy Durban and one of there technicians cam out almost a month later and they asked me to provide a slip and I did and then head office defy called me and I was told to take it back to cash crusaders where I bought it and they should take the correct steps and I did so , when I gave my machine to cash crusaders they told me it falls out of woranty because a defy agent order it and took photos , they told me it's a manufacturing fault as machines don't break like this and empangeni cash crusaders treated me badly and told me if I can two weeks earlier they could of helped me and because the guy from defy opened it they could also not help me , this machine was opened by head office defy KZN I don't see why cash crusaders can't re embers me as I support them so much and nothing was taken out or removed from the machine just pictures taken .. they kept my machine and my slip and have not returned this ..
Desired outcome: I would like this machine replaced as I look after my things and if I did not break it why must I go get another one

I bought a new Doogee N40 PRO had the fone for 4 months when the charging board started giving problems didn't charge the fone properly I returned it for repairs at the branch was still under warranty didn't receive any feedback for almost 3 months had to walk up an down for nothing when I got a fone call from the repair agent telling me I must pay R512 payed it and got my fone back but because of poor repair an workmanship it only took 1 month an had the same problem an when I return the fone again the same bad service with no spons an tell me to pay R3 934.20 it's really disappointed

Morning Cash crusaders My name is Arnold Ndhlebe and i run an electronics repair shop in Tshiame A. One of my Pastors came through with a laptop which was bought from one of your shops: Acer I3 laptop and since it was very very slow, he asked if I could look at it and see if I can get it to speed up. After a thourough diagnosis i found the following:- 1. Initially the laptop comes with a SSD hard drive but this one has a Sata hard drive 2. Since it uses its internal mounted memory ram, the ram itself is damaged and gives an error of badmemory 3. the laptop motherboard is also faulty as the cmos settings changes automatically. In short the laptop is not usable. Its possible the owner sold it as it is to your office and your staff couldnt see these problems. Since this man is a man of God who always engages with other Pastors, Prophets via video call and does most of his church work using the laptop, now its impossible to do either one of these. Im hoping that since its been a week or two since he bought the laptop, your office could please investigate the matter from your side and hopefully replace or exchange for him with a workable laptop. Went in to do a pawn and when I could meet the date due due to illness , I called the manager of the store to advise that I will be a few days late. he obliged telephonically but when I get there to redeem my goods I am presented with a bill with a 30% mark up , No contract saying the charges can be applied to that degree , no communication , Disgusted . This was at the Southway Mall store in Durban. I have sent emails to customer care even the store owner but nobody has yet to respond. I got a call from customer care guy Ëlijah "He too has since ghosted me...Laid a formal complaint with the consumer bureau now and got Legalwise to act on my behalf. I can understand if additional charges were applied for the late days in accordance with my contract and agreement , NOT JUST RANDOMLY APPLY A 30% MARK UP TO INCREASE YOUR STORE GP ! On June 15/06/2023 I bought a 2-TB external hard drive with the purpose of storing my work. At the time I received it, the employee at the store showed me that the device was working it had some files inside. I believe they belonged to the prospective user. When I got home and tried to put in some files, it gave me some problems. I couldn't access the hard drive; it gave me an error message that said access denied or something else I don't remember exactly. On June 19, 2023, I took it back to the store. They made their checks and were trying to find out if I was the one who damaged the product or not. They saw that I did not open it or damage the product. they took 2hours doing the same thing over and over again, I asked for the manager, whose name is Lungelo The guys seem clueless; they told me it has a warranty of 6 months, but when I was returning it, it was a different story; they were talking about 2 months of warranty, which I also qualify for. in that time, there was an Indian guy who He said he was the store manager He manages different stores, including the one at Westwood Mall, but I bought this product at South Beach China Mall. He also took his time checking. It took them another 30 minutes, and they took the device from me. They went inside with his technician, who opened the device. Inside the device, there was a sticker that says that the device is 4 TB. They gave it to me, and the manager said they didn't put the sticker there, so it wasn't his problem. But by the time I bought this product, they had not opened it, and I didn't see it inside. I was also told not to open the product because if anything happens to it, they won't accept it. It's a very long story. I would like to be assisted on this matter, am just a long time client of this company and am very disappointed by the treatment I received at the store. The manager walked away from me while we were talking, not to mention the loss I have made by not having the storage up until now.

I recently visited the Maponya branch to apply for a cellphone loan. When I arrived, I was asked about the cost of the cellphone. I explained that it was 7000. The representative informed me that she needed a proof of purchase for phones that cost more than 5000. I explained that I had bought it in Eastgate, but she insisted that I needed to go to MTN to get the proof. I explained that the MTN store at Maponya Mall couldn't provide the proof I needed. She argued with me, insisting that they could. I then told her that I had worked at MTN for 5 years and knew that the systems were not linked. She still claimed that they were and had a confrontational attitude. This was not the first time I had encountered issues with her. I asked her why she was always rude to customers, as I had witnessed her behavior towards other clients during my previous visits.
At that point, I checked the value of the phone and realized that it had depreciated to 4999. I mentioned that the phone's value was now below the required amount. In response, she shouted at me in Zulu, asking if I knew how to listen. She demanded the proof of purchase, disregarding the fact that the phone was now less than 5000. I reminded her that she had initially mentioned phones above 5000. She replied, "Listen, I want the proof of purchase. Get out of my store." I remained silent and left.
Desired outcome: she need to be seriously repremimanted this has been an on going suition and she feels she own cash crusders

My mother went into the Maitland Cape Town branch on Wednesday 7th June to make a lay by on the Dixon washing machine.
Only to be told she can't lay by as they Don have space to store it!

I bpugth a 10.1 dixon tablet for my son as its required at school to download the textbooks.. He knocked the phone against the class desk bye mistake.. It got a crack screen in top rigth corner about 20mm long.. So the whole phone cant open.. The phone was a week old.. This was in jan18th of 2023.. I took the phone back the following week for repairs.. I was told they will send it in for repairs..1 month went bye.. No 1 from the shop care to phone me in regards to repairs on the phone.. I went back in march month.. Only to find the laying around.. Never send in for repairs.. I made noise at the shop about they poor pathetic service.. The phone was send in.. No phone call on any prigress.. Went in again april.. Nothing.. May went in again.. I was told they cant repair the phone.. They wanted to give the phone back.. I ask them how do you expect me to repair the phone if 5he suppleir cant fix it.. No they habe spares.. But you sell the product.. How on eart cant ypu habe spares as you the main manufacturers off dixon brand.. Till now.. No phone.. No compensation on another tablet or anything.. Just plain forward they dont have spares... So I need to know from management of crusader on the way forward as im a customer at your shop in alberton branch.. Bougyh a number off stuff there.. Bought a 65inch plasma.. Drill machine. Theft of cellphone
I pawned a BRAND NEW Nova 9 Huawei cellphone and have been paying the extensions diligently for 5 months and today I went to go and pay R2026.00 to take out the phone. I waited a long time just to be informed by Sky Jackson of the Florida branch that there was a robbery and my phone was taken. She offered second hand price or phone to same value to reimburse me which I am not happy with. This phone is my daughters and she wanted it back today as her phone broke. I am going through a terrible divorce and now this incident is fueling the fire between myself and her mother not to mention tarnishing my relationship with my daughter. I asked why didnt anyone call me or whatsapp me to inform me but Sky had no answer for that as I am on the store whatsapp. I have now contacted my lawyers as I have adhered to all cash crusaders expected from me and they have not kept my goods secured. I paid approximately R700 additional extention fees and the cost of the phone is almost R12 000.00. I bought a Dixon fan with mist last year 2022 around March, it gave problems around November I returned in December to cash crusaders pongola where I bought. I did not receive any feedback unless I call or visit the shop which is poor customer service according to me. In February I was told the fan has been fixed is running I went there I asked to test it when I tested the fan it could not turn. Buyshop manager has no respect for customer time
I went to get an extended loan from Cash Crusader N1 city and the buyer manager Christein Gumede told me that I need to charge my laptop to 50% before they test it. I then asked if could charge it there and she said that they don’t charge items there and that I should go somewhere else to charge it. After charging it for 2 hours I went back to Cash Crusaders N1 City and waited to be assisted. When I got to the teller she then tells me that they have run out of money and they cannot assist me. Why did she send me back to charge somewhere else if she knew she didn’t have the money in the first place. I spent 2 hours charging my laptop somewhere else only to be told by the same person who sent me a way that they don’t have money. Please respect your customers time.

I send unit in for repairs and then after about 2 weeks I was told that the parts to repair will cost r320.00. So I paid that and then the wait started. After 2 weeks I followed up only to learn they dont have the parts and then they send the unit back to your george store. I visited the store on a weekly base to follow up on my repair. I was there again today on 02-05-23 and the same message still no parts.
The unit is not 3 months old and when I turned it on the smoke came out it, the so called front panel is fualty and I need to repair it out of own poket, not really knowing the so called 12 mouth warranty policy.
Can you please follow up due to its allmost 3 month or more and still no fix. I dont think it is a great example for your company own brand to wait for repairs so long

I bought a Canon Camera from Cash Crusaders' Randpark Ridge branch on April 29, 2023. The salesperson, Perseverance, informed my husband and me about the return and cash back policies. She stated that we had a 48-hour window to return the product for a full cash back.
Testing of the camera was delayed until Sunday the 30th of April 2023 due to low battery power and load shedding on Saturday. The camera was fully tested on Sunday, allowing for performance and functionality to be fully evaluated.
The camera has several issues that affect its performance. Overall, these problems significantly impact the camera's usability and make it challenging to capture high-quality images.
1. The camera's photo display is blurry and out of focus, while the raw document in Photoshop is excessively grainy. Despite setting the camera to the appropriate ISO, Shutter Speed, and F-Stop, the photo's quality remains poor.
2. The Shutter count on the camera has exceeded its expected lifespan, which increases the probability of its failure at any moment. Its constant use may lead to the shutter malfunctioning; therefore, it will need a costly replacement.
3. The lens' zoom function is not operating smoothly and requires servicing to ensure proper calibration with the camera.
4. The battery life of the device is shorter than expected, which is causing some inconvenience.
5. Unfortunately, the camera was missing both the rubber eyecup and lens cover upon sale. It is important to have both of these accessories to protect the lens and provide a comfortable viewing experience for the user. I will need to purchase these items separately or contact the manufacturer for replacements. It is disappointing that they were not included, but I will take the necessary steps to ensure my camera is fully equipped and protected.
On May 1, 2023, we went back to the store and simplified our explanation to the staff, mindful that they lacked photography training. We told them that the photo appeared out-of-focus on the computer. Using layman's terms prevented any miscommunications that could have arisen from technical jargon.
We spoke to Caroline, who claimed to be the manager, about getting a full cash refund. Caroline explained that since it was a public holiday, the person who released funds was not in, and asked us to come back the next morning. We were given assurance by Caroline herself, in front Perseverance, that the entire refund would be available in cash by 9am. We requested written confirmation but were refused on the grounds that everyone in the store knew and had heard about it. Caroline offered assurance that returning the next day would not result in any difficulty with the 48-hour notice refund policy.
Caroline acted against protocol and failed to confirm the refund with her superiors, further deceiving us by assuring us that everything would be ready on our return. Caroline's failure to follow protocol and dishonesty came as a surprise to us, and we wrongly assumed that the refund would be sorted out the next day.
Upon returning on May 2nd, 2023, I discovered that the store would not provide a cash refund. The supposed manager, Caroline, was actually an employee and the real manager, Tom who claimed to be the actual manager, was unaware of the situation. Despite my frustration and Tom's attitude, I was unable to receive a refund.
Tom was unaware that Caroline had informed us about the full refund and believed that the problem had been resolved. He didn't have any information to suggest otherwise, and Caroline was not present at work.
Tom called the owners to refund us, but they declined during this time.
The owner is demanding that I sell the camera I purchased back to the buy shop for R7000, even though I would lose R4000 in the transaction. I find this demand to be completely absurd.
As a national credit regulation institution, you must be knowledgeable about the Consumer Act. Please note that I am at liberty to escalate this matter for investigation to the ombudsman and the small claims court. Conversely, resulting sheriff costs are to be borne by Cash Crusaders.
After a frustrating 2-hour attempt to get a refund at the store, I demanded that the camera be sent to Camera Tech for a thorough system diagnostics report, full service, and replacement of its worn-out shutter. If a refund was not possible, I wanted the camera to be fixed to optimal condition.
The staff deceived me and provided false information just to make and keep a sale, even though it violates my consumer rights. Their intention was solely to retain the sale, and as a result, I was misled and given inaccurate information.
The Terms & Conditions on the back of the sale slip clearly indicates the following:
“We request that you return any out-of-box faulty goods within 7 days of purchase, which will then be replaced, refunded or repaired at our cost, subject to the following exclusions”
(and it doesn’t state anything about the cameras).
