Im realy dissapointed in Cash Crusaders. I pawned my phone and it was tested to see that it was in well working condition. When io go back at month end to collect it my phone did not switch on at all. I was advice by Thinus that it might be the battery and that i need to test it first. I did took it to a shop to test the battery and to find out it was not the battery nor the screen. I went back and have an hell of a fight with Diane at the shop then she said she will send my phone in and get it fixed by her self for as Morne the manager at the shop said no not gonna fixed it at all. After a weak Thinus phoned me as said they wanne see me. When i get there they inform me that fixing my phone is to expensive and they not gonna do that but are willing to sell me a phone for better price.
Now listen too my i left my phone there in working condition and i want a new phone im not gonna settle for this buying myself a phone when i did nothing wrong. this will teach you all to not messing around with our stuff when it is ther in the shop. If you dont help me my next step will be going to see my lawyer for im not gouing to leave this matter as it is. And im going to place it all in the news paper aswell with my number for customers to contact me that Cash Crusaders also did wrong to.
Also be aware that i did log a complaint at the onbudsman aswell.

Cash crusaders your secondhand gaming has gone so far down the the drain...big disappointment as a big gamer I've sold hundreds of games to cash crusaders over the years ...always getting a good deal ..now I know the overstock of games is a headache but when it comes to new releases I'm talking about games that are not Les then a couple of months old u guys need to up your game today I had 2 of the latest release games days gone and and f1 2019 and went to sell them I got offerd a ridiculous 40 rand to 100 for games that are still going for 1000 all i asked was a fair R200.00 wich u easily could sell for 399.90...that being sayd il now move to cash converters wich is a joke compared to cash converters well used to be...coz they pay 150 and 250 for latest releases and still sell like hot cake thanx for your disappointment after years of doing business...please note went to 4 different branches no one offers more than 100 bucks...

I have a acrimonious situation that started today once started dealing with my black counterpart. I cannot understand all the past two I have been dealing people of another race my views were taken into consideration and respected. On Sunday 23rd June MY contract was expiring with cash crusaders of a buy back/pawning my washing machine. I made a call to them on the 24th at 08h47 realizing I was not going to make 10h00 trying to get someone to GO renew the contract as it is the norm when you KNOW you not gonna make it and taking your item out. It is even stipulated in the contract. I asked them to at least give me that day completely. But my Guy I got him last minute and them we agreed he's gonna wake up in the morning and guard them to be there before they even open. He indeed goes there before they opened on the 25th around 08h30. They indeed haven't opened and they do around 9. He goes there and speak to them and got sent to the manager who tells him that I have forfeited my washing machine regardless the fact that I called the shop on the 24th at 08h47 explaining the situation that I'm NOT around I'm in the Eastern Cape so I'm kinda struggling to get someone to send there. Apparently this manager guy called Brian defuses even the fact that I called the shop and explained to them. It's like he's fighting with us the fact that we didn't speak with him. How were I supposed to even know him if his bosses didn't even mentioned him but they agreed to the valid explanation I was giving as is the stipulated norm when you cannot make it there. He tells MY Guy that he's going to sell my washing machine and that I must pay R2500 as deposit to buy it back instead of the R397.98 WE WERE GOING TO pay as renewal fee. And that he's gonna run short if we pay the amount stipulated on my contract. I kinda got gobsmacked because I did picked up MY Fone and explained the situation to whoever of an indian descent and he understood ME. But NOW we dealing with our own descent counterpart and he's victimizing us. I kept on calling there wishing to speak with someone who'll understand ME and the call I made previous day. But I kept on being taken back to this Brian. I was hitting a breakwall and asked him if he's got R2500 on his pocket then he dropped ME with a phone on MY ears. My Guy called ME and told ME they even chased him away. Now I would like to review these types of tricks if are really acceptable in these types of consumer places and is it even lawful of them to themselves the way they're continuously DOING. If NOT THEY MUST kindly stick to the contents and stipulations of the contract NOT TAKE advantage the fact that I was THERE TO DO THIS MYSelf. My washing machine is 13kg Kelvinator automatic machine

they sold my laptop unauthorized and did not processed the refund back into my account
I went to pay the interest on my HP laptop, to ensure that it wouldn't be sold. The cashier allocated the payment onto another item of mine, a cannon camara, but I wasn't aware of it.
Yesterday I wanted to settle the outstanding amount and collect my laptop. The cashier told me there is only two items reflecting on my ID no, the camara and the tv. I said to her, no I just want to pay and collect my laptop. She then processed and said it is R1424. I paid with my debiet card.
Went to the loan office and handed the person the slip and said I want to collate my laptop. He said there isn't a laptop on my ID no and the payment I just done was for the canon camara. We called the store manager.
The store manager said the laptop was sold already. I explained the sequence of events to him, as well did the person whom assisted previously.
He went to make a phone call at the back office, came back and said because they made a mistake they will give me a similar laptop and will not charge the interest. He took the laptop to the cashier and explained it to her. I waited about 30min in the que for the cashier to assist. When she finally assisted, she asked what the situation was, I responded that I saw the manager already informed her and that I must just pay the balance of R63 to the full amout R1500 borrowed.
She then phoned the manager again and said I must go and see him at the loan office. He totally changed his attitude and said they did nothing wrong and the person whom assisted me previously explanation doesn't matter, because he wasn't physically with me at the cashier when I made the payment. I said to him I can go and make a statement under oath at the policestation that I requested to pay the interest on my laptop only, not the other items. Then he became very sarcastic. Then I said I'm willing to undergo a forensic lie dedecting test as well. He said "are you going to pay for it" and still he was unwilling to believe me.
Then I requested a refund of the payment I made before. The cashier reverced it on the bank machine she said, didn't give me a copy and the money is still not refunded back into my account.

it had a problem with the fan it was getting hot and kept freezing, so i took it back, they sent me a notification telling me the laptop was ready so when i arrived to collect it they told me i had to pay R350 for repairs done on the software.
i feel i was sold a laptop with a problem nw i have to pay to fix the problem, does not make sense to me

I had a Xbox one I sent to cash crusaders with my husband and a friend to pawn as my husband ddnt have his ID we asked the friend to use his. Well the amount due on the loan was on Sunday so I sent my husband to the store with the due amount and the receipt of the original pop to show that he game belong to us. They ddnt want to give the game due to the one who gave his ID to pawn the game not being with (we can't find him anywhere). They did however accept the loan amount payable from my husband and gave him a receipt as pop. Today we went back to the store to say we the guy who gave his ID is AWOL. And if they are not able to give the game back them they should then return the money as the same princtipe should apply that if they cannot give the game without the ID of the person who pawned it they should not accept the money from us. Now we have a problem where they say they cannot return our money or game. Can someone please assist as I am furious. We cannot find this guy who we used anyway and don't mind if we have to lose the game but it is not right to then keep our money as well. As they should never have accepted the money in the first place is they are strict about the person who ID they have there must come to get the game. Then why did they accept the money from us without the persons Id

I visited cash crusaders fichardt park shop 34 southern centre benade drive now for the 4th time, each time to be shown away as they don't take the goods I was either selling or wanted to loan on. This after standing in a queue for almost 2 hours.
1st item was a helmet which I was told doesn't sell
2nd was my child's pram and car seat which I was told they also don't take it anymore
3rd was my canon camera
4th which was a ring that I wanted to loan an amount of 1500 and was told they don't loan on white gold (the ring value is 5500 rand which I have certificate for)
If you don't take in goods or want to loan on specific goods can the store then put up a sign stating what goods they take and do not take, as I have wasted my time in any effort to sell my unwanted goods. This is false advertising and poor service!
extension to pay interest
I put 4 rings on buy back on 27th March 2019. I was unable to come in to the store to pay the interest as I was stuck in Tableview without transport or a phone. My daughter Phoned Longbeach to ask for an Extention to Mon or Tues. I only got there o Wednesday the 1st. The cashiers and sales staff where we're extremely rude and said that my rings now belonged to them and offered me no solution. I even offered to pay an extra month of interest. They ignored me and left me waiting for 30 minutes while they were looking for the rings and then told me I could only get them back by paying double what I sold them for. The arrogant and uninterest from the staff has put me off ever doing business with the company ever again.
I pawned my studio monitor's andmy laptop at cash crusaders field street on the 9th april 2019. And on the 8th may i went to to settle with them to give me maybe a 7 days extension my mom is been hospitalised since the first of may and she has been moved baragwanath hospital so i need some time i will double the interest. They refused to help me. I offered to pawn one of my cannon cameras the lady doesnt know how to operate the cameras considered it faulty they cant hep me. I came back the following day with the camera i went to the shop where i bought and they found no faults but still the lady refused.. i left and came back on the third day to settle the payment for my lap since its needed my school assignments are there and everything i need is in that laptop they refused saying it expired and they put it on shelves for sale.. and they were so rude to me when i beg them to help they shut me off.
A lady that was watching waiting to be helped left without continuing with wha she was there for and advised me to take legal actions. but i still need my pc and monitor's i feel i was treated unfairly. And deprived a right to my belongings.

Wednesday, 13th March 2019, my partner and sister went to the store to extend two items. They were told that they already had a buy for the next morning for R1000 and that she could not get the item. When the were told that the item was contracted they said its fine they"ll blacklist the phone and my partner, this had been said with attitude. They said they have new policies but nothing was told to the customers and no signs were put up and nothing on the internet. One of the managers told my partner to "mevrou hou jou mond asblief" not giving her the opportunity to explain things. When my partner said she was not leaving the store until she can get the items staff laughed at her. They called one of the bosses and asked a pen to take down a number she was refused the pen. One of the managers was sarcastic and asked if they wanted Mike's number and that they couldn't do anything anyway. Its not the first time they are this rude. One day we waited 43 minutes in an empty store to do a 5 day extension. Anyway they left the store. On the 15th March 2019 I went to the store to speak to a manager. I stood arms folded waiting. When the manager approached she said I believe you wanted to speak the manager. I then said yes was she on duty the 13th March she said "NO". I said because my partner and her sister came in regards to my items and my partner had been threatened to be blacklisted. She then said we should move away from the noise. We moved to the back of the store. I explained my reasons for me being there. I said that they never gave my partner a chance to explain things. She said they were drunk and performing. I giggled, and my acquaintance and I said at the same time they don't drink. The manager then said " whatever they were " she also said that they gave them an opportunity to buy back the phone at a discount of "60%" but this was the first my partner heard of it. I then also mentioned the fact that the phone had been stolen and in my name and that I had made a case which I didn't want to do. I said that my partner will make a case as she was threatened, mocked at and treated like filth. I also enquired if they aware of the staff does when they buy or pawn customers goods as they are under NCR. When the buyers make you an offer and you agree the agreement will state eg R1236.98 and buyer then gives you R1230.00 and pockets the R6.98 and when you extend or take out your item you paying interest on the amount R1236.98 now imagine getting 50 customers a day and pocketing that amount of change, wow that's R349 for the day. That is theft. They lie, they cheat, they steal with attitude. Never have I ever experienced such service before. The staff should be trained. Truly disgusted by their service. Definitely not living up to their vision.

I bought a brand new amplifier from the Phoenix branch of Cash Crusaders. After a month of use it developed a humming sound. Through social media I learnt that the store is very disappointing when trying to get an item fixed. I was told by a friend that they will say the speaker blew the amplifier.
So I decieded to take my speaker first and let them match an amplifier of which is the same one I bought. This is written on the slip as part of the advice for a warrenty. When I approached a sales person he said Dixon brand would match I asked about the Jebson brand which was not on display anymore. He said its the same company. To make sure... I asked to speak to a manager... he said speak to Ricardo. Ricardo told me that Dixon is same as Jebson and the speaker would match. I then revealed that I had already bought the amplifier and its got a humming sound.
He told me he my speaker blew the amplifier and il be charged a quotation fee of R195.00 if I dont accept the repair quote. At this point I was angry. I swore him from head to toe. To the point that he called the security to escort me outside for being loud and swearing. My amplifier matched the speaker its small speakers the amplifier is 40x2w its got little power. My speakers are 40w.
Anyway still my amplifier was brand new under warranty I have a right to return it. It was one month old.
I brought it in.
At this point the cashier should of checked if security stickers were broken on the screws etc.
After a few weeks I was told my warrenty is void because I removed a heat shield inside the unit.
My question is if I hand in an item under warranty shouldnt the person accepting the item check these things?
I had a heated argument with Ricardo he could of opened the item.
The item could of previously been repaired and sold as brand new.
This is not fair!
I want my money back or the amplifier to be replaced because I liked it.
I tried Hellopeter and they responded (lennon) by offering to pay for half the repairs of which was total 600approx. They want me to pay 300approx. Or pick up my item unrepaired at no cost.
Im trying to find the Provincial comsumer protection act I dont know if this is it.

Sometime last year 2018, around June or July if not mistaken I pawned (loaned) my laptop to your store and I have been paying interest this whole time and I believe the amount has already passed the amount you guys loaned me, because I have been paying P300/per month and today I received the shock of my life and I can't still believe how I got Helped.
I arrived this afternoon around 15:25hrs today to come and pay interest for my loaned laptop, I greeted the lady by the cash counter and she greeted me back, give her my ID and I told her that, i her to pay interest for extension. The lady then checked d on the computer and told me that my laptop does not show on the system, she said that, the contract has expired and I told her that, I'm sorry for that I believe they was a miscommunication between the person I sent last time to come and pay interest in the previous month, because she had told me that the contract expires on the 20th of January, and I explained to her that I have been out of town I could not call the store to ask for extension because I was out of network line (meaning I was on work trip). The lady then told me that I means I should give up because they is nothing I can do, I then asked her, Will it be possible if you can reverse my items, she then told me that I she does not know anything about reversing items and her job is to take money from customers only…she then proceeded to tell me that I should go to the people who I gave them the laptop.
I left the store to get to the other side where they normally take items. I found a gentleman that side and the time was around 15:33hrs and I explained the same thing that I explained to the lady and the gentleman politely asked me to wait for the manager because he is out for lunch and he does not know where he went to. I then waited for about 15mins and then I asked the gentleman that, Iz't worth it to be waiting here or i am just wasting my time and the gentleman told me that, he is not sure I should just wait for the manager and to what he knows is that they is a lady that came this morning to ask the manager to reverse her items since her items expired yesterday 23/01/2019. I then gave up and walked out of the place and walked in the store just to find out that the lady is busy making funny jokes about me with her work mates, I then walked to the display shelf.
I got shocked and 100% disappointed that my item was already on display and selling for around P2600 whereas as the owner I loaned it for P1200 and what pains me a lot is that I have already PAID double the amount of money I have while I was paying interest because I had No money to take it out because I had no source of income, in fact I was not working by that time. It really shows that you guys are a total reap offs, you stealing from Batswana and i am ready to take action about this situation not that had happened to me but to prevent it from happening to someone like me.
And i am still shocked by what I have seen and it pains me a lot that I was not even given the LAPTOP BAG that I brought the laptop with and that bag was not part of the amount they gave me as a loan for the laptop.
I believe I will get the necessary help from my friends will it be lawyers or media, so that other Batswana don't get into the situation that happened to me.
It's not my first-time to encounter this with you guys, it once happened again in Broadhurst and I lost my laptop again and I did not complain, I have been doing business with you guys and this time it went to a different direction and with that I am ready to take action.
I trust this is not the way that cash crusaders wishes to conduct business with valued customers; I would welcome the opportunity to discuss matters further and to learn of how you propose to prevent a similar situation from recurring. I look forward to hearing from you.

Today I went to eastlyn cash crusaders the manager became rude to me as much he ddnt come to me he was shouting. I went to get a 30 days loan with my 13 kg automatic machine he told me he is not taking the machines and refuse to refer me to another store for assistance I then went to denlyn even the um not happy as I wanted 1500-2000 loan for my machinethey only offered 800 I even produced the proof of purchase that I bought the machine with 7000 I need more bt they refused I dnt understand how you guys work

I went to cash crusaders the first week of December and pawned my play station 4 this would be the 2nd time I pawned it there at this perticular branch, the 1st time I went there already the reps that value the goods and pawn or sell them to you had made offers to purchase my console off the books and I had made it clear on both occasions I was not interested in selling as I'm still making payments for the consol and it is quite expensive and had expressed how valuable it is to me, dispite what I was telling them especially this one particular individual whom I think is incharge of that department, after pawning I would only come back after a few weeks to get it back, I live in pretoria and work in KURUMAN were this branch is and we were closing for December and had to come home to pretoria with the transport provided by our company, so I know the 1st week of January is my due date to make payment for the release of my consol or extend the contract to an extra month, I then went to cash crusaders pta in an attempt to pay for an extension thinking the system is all linked I was then told to call the KURUMAN branch and get their banking details so as to make a electronic payment, when I then called them I was put through to the gentleman who has been trying so desperately to purchase my consol, who then again over the phone offered to purchase my consol again, I declined his offer and asked for banking details for the eft, he then gave me his personal number and told me to make an e-wallet to him and he would pay for the extension, that's when I knew I was in trouble I then asked him to check how much I owe and when it's due, he proceeded to taking my ID number to check my info and found me on the system but still wouldn't tell me the info I had asked, not trying to be pushy and difficult in fear that I might not ever see my ps4 again I went along with what he said, I would then call numerous times daily to try sort out payment but I would be told they busy and they would call me back or I should call back but never do or tell me the same story wen I call, I then asked if I get a colleague of mine to come pay the extension would that be OK they said yes (please let me remind you that every time I call despite who I get the always hand me over to this one individual) I told them I'm sending someone over they said perfect, I then try to call to find out if the guy got there but never got an answer only told to call back later, after getting a hold of the person I sent he told me they refused him paying my extension and was told I need to send him with a certified ID copy despite me being in pretoria, I then only finally got a few vaiuge answers after hours that they did send him back even though I had made prior arrangements with them I'm sending someone over, they now telling me to wait until Monday of which I fear somehow my consol is gonna disappear
I thought this was private complaint I didn't know it would be posted immediately I'm dissatisfied about how now me n my valuables andbelongings that I work hard for are now put at risk

Hello I recently visited your lambton Cash converters store to loan some cash against my laptop. I told the buyer that I only required R500 he looked at the laptop and insisted that I take R2000. I explained that I only needed a small amount of cash and that it would be too much for me to pay back. He worked it out on his system and said if I take R2000 then it will only be R460 added to pay back. One of his colleagues sitting in the area started smiling at me because he insisted that I take that amount regardless of me saying it would be unaffordable, he eventually went to his manager & came back to me saying he will give me R1800 which he did. I'm now stressed out about getting this amount to pay and get my laptop back. How can I sort this out? Because I don't understand why he made me loan out more than I could afford and now I'm in a debt situation please advise how I can resolve this. I'm sure there is camera footage and audio to prove this somehow, or even to see the people in the room with us at the time to confirm the argument that happened for over 15 minutes before I eventually got time presses and agreed
