I experienced the same thing with cash for laptops. I sent them a laptop with busted screen (which I didn't expect to get much for) and an almost perfect IPhone 4. They quoted me on the Internet for 250 for both after I told them every thing that was wrong with the stuff. First of all the prepaid postage they sent took almost two weeks to actually get back to them because of some weird postal carrier they used. I live in Arizona and they're in Nevada. I could have driven it to them myself in less time. When my package finally gets there I call them to arrange payment and discuss the inspection they conducted on my merchandise. They read off this long list of things that was supposedly wrong with my merchandise. They said my IPhone had scratches on the screen. I know this wasn't the case because the clerk put a screen protector on it when I bought it and I didn't take it off until I mailed it to cash for laptops. To make a long story short my 250 turned into 60 dollars for both. I immediately told them to mail my IPhone back. They tried to haggle with me by raising the price to 75 and offer to pay my pay-pal transaction fees. They went as far as telling me I would have to pay return shipping to get my IPhone back thinking that would make me accept their offer. I told them that was fine and I would pay it to get my phone back. The individual said my IPhone 4 depreciated in value because the IPhone 5 came out. This is a true statement. i knew the IPhone 5 was coming out and that is why i shipped my phone two weeks ago. It doesn't take 2wks for a package to go one state over. They are stupid and I'm sorry I wasted my time with them.

Never ever trust the quotes given by this company! They are much higher than they actually give... Mine went from $67 to $5 for working perfectly good galaxy phones! This company is a rip off. Sell them yourself on craigs list!
They have two websites. Cashforlaptops/eCycleBest. You don't get a choice rather you want to accept the offer or reject it. They never say on the website how much it will cost to send it back if you refuse their offer. It took four weeks to get a email saying there only paying me $9.00 for my Acer laptop after I was told $125.00. I called and wanted my laptop back, but they said it was my mother board and offered me $35.00. It was like they didn't want to send me my laptop back. I took a loss and will never mail anything out again. Your helpless and don't get a choice because for them to mail it back to you, who knows how much it will cost you. They make their money by fixing our items and than selling them. For them it only cost them the parts but we have to pay the labor cost. For example they pay around $40 to $60 for a part and we have to pay for labor cost, so it cost us around $220.00 to get it fixed. They have a con going on here and they are going to have to get fined or sued before they start caring for us their customer.
they quote doesn't match the amount they send out. so please don't send your gadgets to them.
I even tried to contact them.
they are very unhelpful.
I am forming a RICO-based class action against Cash4Laptops, which also owns Cash4iPhones.com. If you're interested in being a plaintiff, let me know. I have one lead plaintiff, but more are welcome. Jon Drucker - jdrucker@lawyers.com.
Can you say SCAM. At least you received something for your item, they STOLE mine. Claimed they couldn't unlock it so I asked that they sent it back mulitiple times. A word to the wise, DO NOT use them, it is a scam and you will get little to nothing for your device.
If I could give them 0 stars I would. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Google other reviews for this company, it is a scam. They offer you high $$ for a quote and then try to give you $20. Twenty not a typo
This company is a SCAM they do not send you any money
