In 2014 there was upgrading in my contract. I saw the debit order going up. I phoned them and after investigations it appeared that there was fraud and the matter was resolved. I kept on renewing contract every two years. the last renewal was in March this year. On the same months I received a call from the company saying is [protected]@csolutions and had been send by cellc to make collections on their behalf. I told them that my account is up-to-date. When I renewed in April, they said there is something which shows that there is a legal status on my account. From that date up to now when I phone cellc they keep on saying they are attending to my problem. I receive statement every month and I am not in arrears. I asked to speak to the legal department and they say according to company policy, I am not allowed to send them email or phone them. Today is 24 June the position is still the same. They cannot be contacted I must just wait. In the meantime that rude company keeps on phoning me everyday and they say I must pay. I am tired now, I have four contracts with them and I am using debit order for payment

Contract - delivery cancelled by courier company without my authorisation

I recently took out a contract with Cell C ... the delivery company Courier IT came through with the delivery, however refused to deliver the order as my surname on my ID was Budhoo and Cell C has my maiden surname Singh saved on the system. I have sent countless emails to Cell C to amend my surname to reflect correctly as well as made a number of calls. I have been transferred from agent to agent while in the middle of my conversation and stayed on the line for over 30 minutes with no assistance. For 2 weeks i am receiving SMS's from the courier company stating they will deliver between 8ama nd 5pm, i make myself available however they have only attempted to deliver once and in that instance refused to give me the order. This morning i get an email stating my delivery cancelled due to difference in surname. No assistance advising if this will be changed in the system and an attempt to deliver my device once fixed. this is quite frustrating and ridiculous as i have taken out this contract weeks ago and the service from Cell C is beyond ridiculous. Everyone is clueless!
Desired outcome: Change my surname on the system and deliver my order.

Please can Thabisile call me back. We had resolved the change in surname and a new reference was issued for the delivery of my device. I get a call a few minutes ago from a Team Leader called Vanessa who informs me that the courier company is still not able to deliver my device as I am still reflecting with an incorrect surname on their documents. This is now becoming really frustrating because I honestly thought this was resolved and the that the messages I am receiving for delivery between yesterday and today is with my correct surname and device.
Please can this be resolved asap and all Cell C agents and comments on the system to be aligned and speaking the same updates ?

I phoned today to follow up and i was informed i will be contacted and that it shows they have reached jy voicemail but in progress documents received. Contract phone was stolen
I took a contract with Cell c in May 2017 Cell c had a debit order for the service they were providing me, on the 2nd of July 2017 I was mugged and the thieves stole my bag which had my phone, the phone was insured. I reported the incident at the police station and I got an ITC number I then reported the matter to Cell c and I was advised that my contract will be renewed and I'd get another phone so that I would continue with payments, I agreed and was told they would contact me for finalize everything. The insurance I had took out gave me a new phone I then asked about my contract and I got the same response which was they would contact me, they did not debit my account for the contract. Years past now I am receiving calls that I owe Cell c when I contact Cell c I'm told they will call me and they never do I keep getting case numbers.
Desired outcome: I want the matter resolved ASAP, I would also like a detailed statement regarding the contract.

I logged a refund for the cellphone that I have purchases due to waiting for ITC number for 2 months due to the fact that the IMEI number was not linked on my account until Friday after first complaint now the insurance wants a motivational letter why I am claiming now. Request for paid-up letter since 2020
I paid up my account in 2020, even since I've tried to get a paid up letter.
I had countless emails with customer service and still I have not received a paid up letter.
It sickens me because I was called daily at the time to settle my account even while I explained that I was a student. But now that I've done my part and paid the account I get little to no response regarding a paid-up letter it's 2022 seriously how bad can the customer service be.
I feel so frustrated as this a serious hindrance in my life.
I don't know who to contact anymore or email, each time I get told the relevant department will contact be but nothing, the only response I get is requesting the same information that I provided over and over.
I am starting think the only way to solve this is to seek legal advice.
Desired outcome: Paid-up letter
This is the latest on my forever ongoing request for a paid-up letter.
So after I posted a complaint on the 22nd of June 2022 I received a call about two days thereafter to investigate my case, which was by far the most assistance I've ever gotten from cellc.
On the call I was informed that there was an outstanding amount which Cell C had not brought to my attention or notified me about, hence the reason they could not provide me with a paid-up letter.
I decided to pay what ever I needed to so that this nightmare could finally be over.
When liaising with the cellc agents I specifically asked that when I make payment will I receive a paid-up letter and it was said that the amount owed will be the handover amount of the paid-up letter.
I then made an immediate payment on the 6th of July 2022 with good faith that this time it would not be a long drawn out process to receive feedback, the following day the agent responded and confirmed receipt of proof of payment, thereafter a request was made to allocate the payment to the correct account.
Since then I have not received any feedback even after sending countless emails to all the cellc emails that I could find. I was told it would take a maximum of 72 hours to receive feedback. It is now heading for 2 weeks since I made that final payment.
I said this before and I'll say it again. I am in urgent need of the paid-up letter. I did the right thing and now cellc yet again is not responding to any of my emails. I am attaching the email that states that cellc is in receipt of the proof of payment.
Unfortunately this is my last attempt to resolve this myself. If I do not receive the paid-up letter by the end of the week I will have no choice but to take legal action against cellc to resolve this matter as it is a major setback in my life. It is not only affecting me but my family as well.

So I sent all the details that you requested, I sent the proof of payment of the last payment settling the account on 31st of March 2020. You have all the required documents and yet I have not received any feedback. This is rediculous for a service provider, 2 years after I settled the account and I'm still battling to get a paid-up letter. I was a student when cellc called everyday for me to settle the account I had to make a plan. And this is the service cellc provides. I am left with little choice, but to take legal action.

Due to Cell C cancelling my one contract on cell number 062XXXXXXX, I consider you being in breach of contract and consider this account being closed.
After going into the Centurion branch on the 17th of June 2022 that the reason for the account being closed is that here is an outstanding account of R1XXX. XX, this is an amount that is due for a DEBIT ORDER PAYMANTE ON THE 30TH June 2022. There seems to be a total lack of competence in many of your departments.
I was then told I need to go and make an affidavit at the SAPS (wasting my time due to Cell C closing my account and lack of COMPETNACE) to reactivate my account and that I ned to pay the outstanding amount which is not an outstanding amount but the current account due on the 30th June 2022, before the account can be reactivated. Once again lack of competence due to CELL C closing an account which is paid up. Furthermore, due to the lack of competence I am losing clients as the numbers in question are business numbers, who t CELL will compensate me due to once again lack of competence.
On this same note I expect that you fund me for the service fee charged for June RXXX.00 as I don’t have this service at all. All please make this number a pay as you go so that I can port to another provider who will hopefully be more competent.
Please also take cognizance that I am giving notice period to convert my current number 084XXXXXX to a pay as you go as soon as the contract expires, I will not be renewing with CELL C. If I am not mistaken it will expire in the end of July 2022 as the upgrade is due in August 2022.

Fraudulent debit order taken from my account
there was a debit order of 1300 taken from my account on the 15 of May and I managed to dispute this, however another one was taken again the end of May which I also manage to dispute. Today an amount of R2886.20 was taken from my account. I have never had a contract with cell c and I have not opened one now.
I do not even know where to get this sorted because all platforms of communication to cell c wants the contract number you are querying as I do not have a number as I have not opened an account.
Last year I had the same issue with MTN after months they only sorted it as the contract was not even on my name they have only deducted the monies from my bank account.
Desired outcome: fraudulent debit order to be stopped with immediate effect.
Cell C has started deducting monies from my account without me having a contract with them. I have never dealt with Cell C in any way. It seems that some sort of identity theft happened.
I cannot call as I do not have the contract number to get the necessary details to report this theft.

Go check your records of 1st complaint for ITC number that toot 2 months blocked sim on 19th of April 2022 and reported and requested blacklisting since then 20th of April and only received it on the 17th of June after complaint logged on complaint board and hello peter.
So I think emails is enough proof between cell c and me as well as the 1st complaint logged on 16th of June 2022. Contract was Breached by Cell C due to the dact that the IMEI number was linked to insurance on 5th of April 2022 but not linked to my account until this complaint so costs to replace device and compensation on my contract due to IMEI number linked and ITC number provided on the 17th of June 2022 and acc to your records which is a lie that it was done on the 23rh of May 2022 still a month after requesting it and no communication from your side. I did sent the same documents and bank statement to sm@cellc.co.za and customerservices@cellc.co.za I request immediate efund and compensation. 2 ladies could phone me quickly yesterday after this complaint logged and forwarded to the same information tto above email addresses, but guess what without resolution so this issue is not resolved

Blacklisting Cell C device
My phone was stolen on the 19th of April 2022 at about 6:00pm, my wife blocked the simcard at about 7:30 pm the Sam evening.
On the 20th I phoned in to blacklisted my acc with went active on the 5th of April 2022, I even updated the contact numbers as the [protected] number linked to my account was in the second sim slot. I did use the [protected] to phone my wife [protected], my work number [protected], my mother [protected], dstv [protected] with my contract number [protected] to name a few and it reflects on my account statement. They then informed me my IMEI number is not yet linked to my account.
Since the 20th of April 2022 I phoned in every day for 3 weeks to find out what was going on. Their response was back office will phone me.

I then simswapped the sim due to the fact that they never contacted me to make it easy for them to contact me on their cell c contract number.
I also contacted the insurance to inform them of the theft and requested the documents which i have filled in but without ITC number and case number I cant do anything i can even open a case due to the fact that ITC number has not be given and device not blaclisted. The contract sim was in simslot one and i did phone and receive calls on the number.
On the insurance the IMEI number is the same as the one I gave to Cell C to blacklist on the 20th of April.

So the 700 was due end of May with was transferred on the 27th of May as arranged.
So I am not liable for the debit orders which was unsuccessful due to breaching of contract as soon as you informed my my IMEI number is not linked to my account but I received email from insirance on the 5th it was linked to my insurance and only after hello perer complaint it was suddenly linked to my cell ce account and ITC number provided on the 17th of June

Now my bill is 600 due to debit order being unsuccessful but I did arrange to pay it over electronically on the 27th of May as I did why was there another d3bit order launched.
On the 5 of July I will have the contract months (329 × 3 = 987) but I already paid 700 on the 27th of May

I phoned last week to follow up again and they said again the back office will contact me.
Another problem. Is I took delivery of device 26 March and 5 April the account started my bill is supposed to be R329 and it works a month back my concern is that end of April it showed I owe 700 and I did inquire the lame excuse was that it is because me debit order is for the 8th but on the 8th of April I only had the phone for a month and 3 days. Now my bill is 600 due to debit order being unsuccessful but I did arrange to pay it over electronically on the 27th of May as I did why was there another d3bit order launched.
On the 5 of July I will have the contract months (329 × 3 = 987) but I already paid 700 on the 27th of May
I was contacted and the call was cut, when I phoned back a lady was rude, she said that I failed the security check after it was the same questioned asked with the lady who phoned me and all I did was request that that called me must phone me back
This is another issue due to blacklisting date being incorrect and extra expenses I had to do so that I can use the sim and not paying for something I did jot even have
I did sent it again after numerous times to customer service
Cell C customer service
I had a contract with cell c in 2017 and I paid it up at the end of 2018. I received my paid-up letter. After 4 years I found out that cellc had blacklisted me whereas I had settled my debt. I contacted cellc and one agent confirmed that this was a mistake and I would receive another paid-up letter within 48 hours under reference number [protected] I then waited for the 48 hours and contacted cell c again only for them to notify me that I am still owing, I then paid the outstanding amount while I was on the call with the agent, she then escalated this to a Supervisor and I sent my Proof of payment. I still received another reference number [protected] and he also promised to send me a paid-up letter after 48 hours. I then sent the first initial paid-up letter that I received in 2018 in correspondence to this reference number but I have not received any assistance. It's been almost 2 weeks and I have called twice for a follow-up the first time the agent hung up on me, and the second time the agent assured me that a supervisor will contact me, this was on the 13th of June 2022. I have sent countless emails to the supervisor who assisted me the first time and have not received any response.
Desired outcome: A paid up letter and my refund of R572.
I have sent so many emails to That email address. And they only requested for my phone number that was it. I have also reached out on your Facebook messenger but the agent keeps asking me stupid questions. I need a resolution to this. I have provided all the information.

my account with cell c was written off, i have been calling the call centre and being advised to call the attorneys to get a prescribed letter and being pushed from pillar and post. i just need a prescribed letter stating the account has been written off.

I then this month got a bill for R675 which is wrong, I logged a complaint abd a dispute. Cell c said they will investigate and make it right, Monday 13 June 2022 they cut my line. Paidup letter and update at transunion
Hi, I had a phone contract wth cell c And failed paying... My account went on default, I then emailed Cell as my finances were now better and could pay them, they replied by giving me banking details and I saw nothing had changed because it was the same as the ones I was using to pay them... I then started paying the full amount owing to cell c by march 2022 which then meant I was not owing them anymore because I had paid the full R6500 that I owed them.
I requested a paidup letter but they never emailed me one, I have sent them multiole emails but still, they are quiet. I feel like cell c is in the mission to dent peoples credit scores, they dont care about their customers, as soon as they get the money, u dnt hear from them and ur name is left dented.
My credit rating had gone down bcz the account still shows as default. No paid up letter and no update at transunion.
Desired outcome: An update at transunion that shows the account has been paid up.

I have not recieved any reaponse from cell c regarding the refund.they told me long ago that they need to verify my banking detail telephonically before they can process refund.but it seems to me they too busy to give me a call.so why dont they send a form to complete and send baxk so that we can get on with the process.i had a missed call from 084 135,its customer service no.its frustrating that we dont have a direct line to communicate,so please advice on what must happen cause current process is not useful or helpful at all.

Cell c fraudulent contract opened
A fraudulent cell c contract was taken under my name (end of April 2022)
I contact cell c and they told me to get an affidavit stating that it wasn’t me who applied for this contract
So I get the affidavit and email it to them, two weeks later I follow up and they keep telling me the same story ‘we will escalate your query’ and then I’m given different references numbers each time I call
It’s now June and cell c hasn’t closed this fraudulent account and in the meantime my bank account has been debited
What’s even scarier, on my credit profile it shows this account as ‘active’ and paid up for the month
I’m at my wits end with cell c, and my only option left is to take the legal route and sue/ open a civil case against them
Desired outcome: I want this account closed and cell c needs to contact credit bereau to confirm this fraudulent account is closed

Nr: [protected] : data contract that was renewed by cell c automatically after contract ended
My data contract came to an end on the 9 of February 2022 and the same day it was renewed again without my permission. Since then I have tried on numerous occasions to get this cancelled and to have the debit order stopped on my bank.
On the 4th of April I reported the matter to the Cell C fraud department as per their request with CASE NR [protected] to have it investigated further.
Every month since then I have been trying to get feedback and have proof of all emails send to try and resolve the matter.
The amount deducted monthly has so far change every month up to this month where was R906.97, every month a different amount and at my expense had to reverse the transactions at the bank every month.
Up till today I have not received any feedback from Cell C with regards to this matter.
The next step to be followed will be to open a criminal cases for police investigation if still no feedback recieved
Desired outcome: Contract to be stopped with immediate effect and any over payments or future payments to be refunded with immediate effect.

I contacted cell c on the 6th of May 2022 to cancel my contract as the 24 months have come to an end they then advised that the contract will be cancelled on the 6th of June 2022 today on the1st of June cell c decided to load my phone with the full month benefits even though my contract is supposed to end in 5 days and they have since advised that I will liable to pay the full amount
I made the call on the 1st of June 14:08
Desired outcome: i want this settled as i feel i have given them the required notice to cancel the contract

Cell-C Fiber line
I Have Settled my account in July 2019 and with several phone calls and emails through the years, up to date Cell C has not taken this account off my Name, and I have bad credit because of this. Cell C never gets back to me, and the legal department never answers their phone no matter what. Cell C has the most pathetic customer service I have ever encountered. Then They still have the audacity to contact me to and try and sell me a new contract, and when I tell them no, they need to sort my problem out, the agent just tells me that is not his responsibility.
I would not recommend anyone to use Cell-C as they will in time have major issues with them.
