Took my car to Chapman Honda where I bought it 6 months ago
Took my car to Chapman Honda where I bought it 6 months ago. Had a tire blowout because of a road hazard. I got an extended warranty from Chapman, so I thought it would be covered. They told me tires weren't covered. They also said I needed to replace all 4 tires and get an alignment. So, I bought new tires and got the alignment, even though it wasn't covered by the warranty. It cost me a lot of money. I only had *** miles on the car when I bought it, and now it has *** miles. When I got home, my mom told me that we actually did have a warranty from Chapman and they should have a record of it. My mom called them, and they got defensive, saying they wouldn't let us hold them hostage by writing a bad review. They said they would fix the situation, but I've been waiting and calling, and they haven't returned my call. It's already 5 pm. I guess they take advantage of young and inexperienced people like me.

I bought a 2021 Toyota Tundra from Chapman Honda on May 20, 2022
I bought a 2021 Toyota Tundra from Chapman Honda on May 20, 2022. I've been asking for the title and license plates for my truck multiple times. They were supposed to install LoJack on my vehicle, but it still shows up as a Toyota Highlander in Scottsdale, Arizona. I've talked to the salesman and the manager about fixing this issue, but it's still not resolved. Eventually, I asked for a refund for the LoJack and got a check. I paid for my vehicle in cash and expected to receive the title within a reasonable time. However, it's already August 1st and I still haven't received the title or plates. I spoke to a lawyer who advised me to call the police as the quickest way to resolve this matter. According to him, it's considered theft and fraud.
My daughter crashed her car on 3/12
My daughter crashed her car on 3/12. They towed it to Chapman Collision Center. After three weeks, we still didn't get an estimate. *** was dismissive and never remembered who I was. He even called in the afternoon and told me the same thing he said in the morning, but he didn't remember talking to me. The car still ain't fixed. He overestimated the damage by a lot, and the insurance company almost totaled the car. I sent an investigator, and the damage was way less than what he claimed. When I asked to move the car to another shop for a second opinion, he changed the estimate. There were a bunch of Porsches in the shop. Chapman lost my business. I spent a ton of money there to maintain my three vehicles, and I also bought cars there. I'm really unhappy and let down. Now I'm worried the work will be bad. I'm thinking about all my options. I want a correct estimate and for the job to be done. Then, I'll take my business somewhere else.

On January 27th, me and my girlfriend went to Chapman Honda and bought a used Dodge 1500 5.7 Hemi
On January 27th, me and my girlfriend went to Chapman Honda and bought a used Dodge 1500 5.7 Hemi. We put down $6000 and took out a loan for $24,000. It's been 5 months now and they still haven't given us the title for the truck. They didn't even start the process for the title until we went in and bothered them about our unregistered truck three times. We had to talk to the GM of sales before they took it seriously. We asked him to let us know when the title would come in, but he refuses to communicate with us about it. We found out that there are two different titles, one in Tennessee and one in Maryland. We're starting to wonder if the truck might be stolen. We offered to get a truck with similar towing abilities, but they can't find one for us. Finally, we told them we want our money back because they broke our contract. But they won't give us a refund and say that the miles we've driven on the truck mean we can't get our money back. The most they offered was $4000 in cash and they would buy back the truck to cover the rest of our loan. We're stuck paying for their dishonesty.
In February 2022, I got my Honda Civic 2012's brake pads and rotors fully replaced at Chapman Honda
In February 2022, I got my Honda Civic 2012's brake pads and rotors fully replaced at Chapman Honda. But come August 10, 2022, my brakes started making a whole lot of noise. So, on August 17, I went in for an oil change and asked them to take a look at my brakes. Turns out, in just six months, the rotors had developed these "hot spots" that indicate long-term wear. The service manager at Chapman Honda then proceeded to tell me that they were completely worn out. I wanted an explanation as to how this could happen when nothing had changed in my driving routine and I've been using the same vehicle. The manager just smirked at me and said that since I'm the driver, I should know. I told him that I believed my brakes were never actually changed, and he started raising his voice at me. When I asked if there was someone higher up I could talk to, he only wanted to know what my end goal was. This made me frustrated. He wasn't willing to explain how rotors could wear down to hot spots in less than six months. I drive, and it's dangerous for them to promise a brake system replacement and not follow through. They've put me and my family in harm's way.
Me and my hubby bought a 05 Honda Element at Chapman Honda on 22nd in Tucson in Sept 2021
Me and my hubby bought a 05 Honda Element at Chapman Honda on 22nd in Tucson in Sept 2021. This car has been nothin' but problems since we got it. It didn't start the day after we bought it, a few months later the engine light came on and the gas tank/lock was busted. A couple of mechanics told me this car has really bad alignment issues, probably from an accident, but Chapman Honda denied it. We took it to Honda for oil changes and on the second or third oil change, they wanted to do a bunch of repairs. The radiator was busted and it needed a new boot/ball joint and other stuff. I'm super mad 'cause we wanted Honda to give us our money back, especially the $5,000 down payment we made, but they said no. Yeah, we should've taken it back to them sooner, but some bad stuff happened this year and it took up a lot of our time and effort. We thought puttin' a little money into it would fix the problems, but it never did. Me and my hubby want the rest of the cash we put down, which is $4,000. They took the car, gave us enough to cover the loan, and an extra $1,000. They were really shady and dishonest from the beginning, and the manager never talked to us in person even though we asked. We have lots of mechanic reports showin' the work that was done and the work that still needs to be done.
I asked to cancel a product on May 18th
I asked to cancel a product on May 18th. The Finance manager sent me a cancellation form on that day, which I returned to them on 5/20. I didn't get any response indicating it was received or anything, so I followed up on 5/31 to confirm the paperwork was received. I didn't get a response. I followed up again on 6/24, asking for an update on the cancellation. It wasn't until then the finance manager said he was having trouble downloading the PDF and asked for an image of the document. I sent it and expressed my frustration since it was over a month since I had sent the original form. I followed up again on August 9th and 15th with no response from the manager until August 17th. I was told the refund check was sent to my credit union on 8/8 to an address they have saved. I followed up with my credit union and they confirmed the address the check was sent to was not correct. I shared the proper address with the manager as well as my credit union account # to include on the check so they knew how to locate the funds on 8/23. I didn't receive a reply until I followed up on 8/29, asking for an update. The finance manager told me the check was cashed, so there was nothing they could do other than give a copy of the cashed check. My credit union shared they did not cash the check, and when asking the finance manager to resolve the issue on 9/7 I didn't get a response until I followed up a second time on 9/15. On 9/21 I asked the finance manager to immediately resolve their mistake, and he said the issue would be escalated with a sales manager who would reach out. No one has reached out to resolve this issue. The refund is $1451 and should have been applied to my car loans balance months ago.
In August, we got a Honda Pilot from Chapman Honda
In August, we got a Honda Pilot from Chapman Honda. It had been sitting in their lot since May. We test drove it and noticed that it shook a lot when stopping. Our salesman, BC, said it was probably the rotors needing fixing. He sent it to service to get it sorted. After test driving it again before buying, the problem seemed fixed. A few days after buying it, we realized that the driver's side power lock didn't work. We contacted BC and he took care of it. The day after picking it up, I noticed that it had a rough transition between 1st and 2nd gear. Then, when I parked it in my driveway, I saw an oil leak. And to top it off, the check engine light turned on. Now, keep in mind, we only had a 90 day/5,000 mile powertrain warranty. They didn't want to cover anything at first, but eventually agreed to cover the diagnostic fee for the check engine light. They said it was fixed and that it was just a simple bolt that needed adjusting and tightening. No big deal, right? Wrong! This vehicle has been nothing but trouble since the day we bought it. I had to completely clean the inside because there was dog vomit and feces stuck in the carpet. It's not only disgusting, but totally unacceptable. And Chapman doesn't seem to care that the vehicles they sell are not good quality. They don't stand behind the low-quality vehicles they sell. This vehicle clearly had issues before we bought it and shouldn't have been sold as a certified pre-owned vehicle in that condition. Honestly, it shouldn't have been sold at all in that condition. If you can't even clean a car that's been sitting on your lot since May, then you shouldn't be in business.
