Sammy is never there, all they want is your money
Sammy is never there, all they want is your money. The cars have high mileage and are put together with tape. The 30-day warranty is a lie, as the cars are junk. The service is trash. My girlfriend took her car back to get it repaired, and someone who works there pushed my wife.

When I went to have my car fixed, they just reset the check engine light
When I went to have my car fixed, they just reset the check engine light. They put bald tires on my car, which caused me to total it out when I slid into a wall. Well, in a nutshell, it was all bad.

I bought a 2011 BMW 5 series from this car lot and it had some serious issues
I bought a 2011 BMW 5 series from this car lot and it had some serious issues. The transmission was really bad and it happened within 6 months of buying it. I even paid extra money to get it fixed and they gave me a warranty. But now, they are saying that I made two payments that were 30 days late. That's not true at all! According to our agreement, I was never late on this account. I have called them many times to try and fix this, but nothing has been done. I am so frustrated that I might have to take legal action because there is a lot of fraud and misleading business practices happening here. If they don't update my credit report right away, I will definitely pursue litigation.
I bought a car from Statewide Auto Sales on May 13
I bought a car from Statewide Auto Sales on May 13. Unfortunately, the car broke down shortly after with transmission and suspension issues. The engine oil light also came on, and there was a noticeable vibration when I was at lights or stopping. I called the dealership to inform them about the repairs needed and they instructed me to leave the car with their recommended repairman, ***.
*** kept the car for two days and informed me that the motor mounts and suspension needed fixing, in addition to addressing the transmission problem of stalling and not reversing. I got the car back on May 21, but to my disappointment, it still had the same problems. I decided to take the car to another repair shop for a diagnosis and inspection. They discovered that the motor mounts had not been repaired, the transmission was still slipping, and both axles were leaking and broken.
*** claimed to have replaced the control arm on the driver's side, but according to the mechanic's inspection, it was still broken. Additionally, the car was two quarts low on oil. I paid a significant amount of money for this car, and I should not be experiencing these types of issues within just two days of purchase. I have been trying to contact the dealership about these problems for the past week, but I have not received any response.
I bought a car from Statewide Auto on March 31, 2022
I bought a car from Statewide Auto on March 31, 2022. The same day I got the car, the check engine light came on. I called the place and they told me to come back, but they were very busy and closing soon. So, I put gas in the car and drove home, which took two hours. While on the road, the air conditioner did not work and the car was very shaky.
The next day, I tried starting the car and it took a couple of tries. The passenger window did not work, and neither did the driver's side passenger door. I drove the car back to the dealer and waited patiently. They said the parts would be coming, but then they started acting strange. They kept calling down to the working shop, letting me know that my car was being worked on. I told them that it wasn't my car they were working on.
Four hours later, around closing time, they brought my car back. It was running even worse than when I brought it in. I asked if I should drive it home, and they said I could, but not to drive it too hard. I asked why it was running worse, and they said that the guy unplugged something and put it back, causing the issue. I was confused and asked why they weren't going to fix it. They said I had an attitude and just kept walking away from me.
I asked if I could get my money back, and they said I would only get a partial refund of around *** or so after just one day. It seemed like they didn't want to help me. So, I barely managed to drive the car home, but it started acting funny and eventually stalled. I had to get the car towed. Keep in mind, this was just a day later.
It's been two months now, and they still haven't fixed anything. I was working, but I lost my job and became homeless on May 31, 2022. I was out buying parts that I thought might fix my car's problem, only to come back and find that my car had been repossessed due to two months of missed payments. But my car was never fixed, and they didn't want to give me a full refund after just two days. I don't understand.
I also have important belongings and all my medication left in the car. Now I have to pay to get my medication out, and my car still hasn't been fixed. Please help me.
I bought a car from Statewide Auto on Feb 22, 2022
I bought a car from Statewide Auto on Feb 22, 2022. It was a 2008 S550 Mercedes-Benz. I paid around $5,100 as a down payment. Towards the end of February, I noticed some minor issues with the car, so I took it back to the dealership to get it fixed under warranty. They returned it to me on March 4th. When I went to pick up the car, I paid them early for the month of April. I was satisfied with the work that was done.
However, on March 26, 2022, I had a small accident due to some malfunctions with the car, specifically with the left driver side tire. This caused damage to the tire area as I tried to avoid any further harm. Before sending it back to the dealership for repairs, I had my personal mechanic take a look at it. He agreed that only the left driver side tire was damaged. So, on March 28, 2022, I sent the car back to Statewide Auto for repairs, thinking it would be a good idea since I still had a warranty with them. They called me back on the 30th and confirmed that the tire area was the only problem they found. They also mentioned that they had the Mercedes dealership check it out and price the repairs. According to them, the tire was the only issue. They quoted me a cost of $8,400, but because of my half-off warranty, they would only charge me $4,200.
For the next five days, I worked on gathering the money. The dealership called me every day, asking about the progress and saying they had the necessary parts. They just needed me to come in and make a payment so they could start the repairs. They assured me that it would be done in 2-3 days, and I could pick up the car and make payments for the remaining amount owed. When I asked if $1,000 would be enough, they said yes. So, on April 4, I gave them that amount. However, I couldn't reach anyone or communicate with them until April 22, when they finally reached out to me.
They informed me that they had just noticed that my transmission was randomly bad and not working, with the light on. They mentioned there were more issues, but I'm running out of characters here. There are many more details to share, so I would appreciate it if someone could give me a call at ***.
Statewide sold me a car that hasn't worked properly in the year that I've owned it and hasn't done anything about it
Statewide sold me a car that hasn't worked properly in the year that I've owned it and hasn't done anything about it. The car has been returned 9 times. It's really bad, you'll end up in a worse credit situation than when you started! Don't buy from this place. First, I'm a hardworking restaurant General Manager who pays my payment on time. They're used to dealing with Pimps and Drug dealers! They're preying on working class people in the middle of a pandemic. This is predatory auto lending! I bought a 2012 BMW 740LI in February. This is my third BMW. The car has been back to Statewide NINE! TIMES! And I've put it in a shop close to my house FOUR TIMES! Let's go through a list of the problems: The first issue started the very day that I bought the car and drove it back to my home in the bay area. The rear shock went out and the car was leaning to one side. Multiple Engine misfires. Loss of power. I took the car back (from the bay area) and the Service Manager "***" says he fixes it. Drive it back to the bay area and the same exact problems that they claimed to fix. Back to LA we go. I have either driven the car or had it transported at $400 each time, a total number of 9 times and I have every receipt to prove it. Every month something on the car malfunctions or breaks. In less than a year I have replaced the following: Rear Air Shocks. Cylinder 3 Fuel injector. Cylinder 6 Fuel injector. Water Pump. Spark Plugs. Coil Packs. 3 Vacuum Leaks. A main seal Oil Leak. Turbo Solenoid (so eddy says. My guys says it needs a new turbo). Ruptured fuel line. Tires due to the air shock issue. I have called to speak with someone that is really in charge and they just keep giving me this "Sam" guy who sold me the car and does absolutely nothing for me. I am a hardworking professional who thought that Statewide would treat me with some level of care but they have absolutely failed me as a consumer. THEY ARE TAKING PEOPLES MONEY! AS I WRITE THIS THE CAR IS IN THE SHOP RIGHT NOW AFTER I JUST GOT IT BACK FROM STATEWIDE WHO SAID IT WAS FIXED! DO Not shop here. The cars all have high mileage and they put a band-aid on them and put them on that lot for a hardworking person like me to be preyed upon with their terrible business practices. Imagine how much money I have spent on the above issues. And STATEWIDE HAS EVEN CHARGED ME FOR SOME OF THESE FAULTY REPAIRS. CLAIMING TO FIX THEM ONLY FOR ME TO HAVE THE SAME ISSUES A WEEK LATER. I have still made my payment every month, no problem. This place is too good to be true. All the cars are superglued and rubber banded together just so you can get it home and be locked into a loan with a car that simply does not work. The SAM guy will do nothing for you. The Service Manager *** will tell you he fixed something only to have you return for the very same reasons. SO now I am stuck with this car that breaks every time I look at it and STATEWIDE DOES NOTHING! HOW HAVE YOU BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR 40 YEARS? I am now thinking of taking Legal Action.
