I had a bad experience at Gastonia Nissan. I paid $934 for service on 3/30 and the next day, 3/31, while driving, my hood almost flew off! It was very scary for my family and could have been prevented if the technician had hooked up the latch assembly properly. I'm missing work and in a lot of pain from whiplash. I'm extremely dissatisfied, upset, and mad. I'm going to talk to Nissan in the morning to see how they're going to fix this. If you have a choice, go somewhere else.

The service department told me a routine inspection called for a $1600 repair, lower control arm ball joint with tearing. Jonh, a 17-year inspector, said that the rubber holding them in place was tearing. I decided to get a second opinion because a few months before I paid $1300 for a repair that only required a new battery (my current battery at that time was still under warranty). The second opinion I got told me there was no damage to the above part and there was no tearing. I'm not out any money this time, but I want others to know to be aware of the shady practices at Gastonia Nissan's Service Department.

I went to Gastonia Nissan on January 22nd at 4:30 to get my 2015 Nissan Altima's transmission serviced. The guy who helped me said there were two recalls on my car that were covered by the warranty. He said they'd need to put my car on a machine for 15 minutes to an hour. I said okay and signed the paper. The next day, the guy called me and said my car was ready. I went to Gastonia Nissan later that day and the guy gave me some papers saying the work was done. I paid for it and left. I got on I-85 North to Charlotte and my car started having problems. It was jerking and stopping, so I had to get off early. I called the dealership and talked to the boss guy and he said to bring it back. I made it home, but had to get it towed back to the dealership.

I was already pre-approved by ***, so I knew they had to check my credit, but I didn't allow them to send it to other places. I checked my credit and saw that they sent it to other places without my permission. I tried calling , but they never called me back. This is not a good business practice. If they don't remove the inquiries, I will take legal action. I want the *** or owner to call me and let me know that they have removed the inquiries. I am attaching photos of the inquiries. When I was at the dealership, it only showed one inquiry, but a few days later, all of these showed up. It's really disappointing that I drove three hours and got treated like this. I expect these inquiries to be removed right away.

I gotta say, Gastonia Nissan ain't no good. They sold me a car with messed up tires and then tried to make me pay to replace them. And when I tried to call them out on it, they wouldn't even let me respond! This company is so unprofessional and their response to my complaint was straight up lying. And they didn't even wanna talk about the bad tires! I looked it up and there are tons of other people who have had problems with this company too. They lie and deceive in their responses like they did nothing wrong. This is a big deal and the ComplaintsBoard.com needs to do something about it. They got a pattern of complaints in sales and service. If the ComplaintsBoard.com can't help, I'm gonna go to the media and blow the whistle on them. I got all the receipts, texts, and emails to prove it. Managers were no help either. Just sayin'.

I paid for repairs but the check engine light still on. They gave me a list of other repairs. My mom, who's 78, took her 2003 Nissan Sentra to Gastonia Nissan for an airbag recall. The service guy said it was a bad sensor and gave an estimate of $629.00. After paying, the check engine light was still on. They did something to make it go off, but it came back on. They gave her a long list of other stuff to repair. It's clear they didn't fix what they should have and are taking advantage of my mom. Can you help her fix this?

I bought a car from Gastonia Nissan and it turned out to have a bad transmission. I took it in for service 9 days later and found out it also needed a new battery. When I test drove the car with Matt, I noticed it jerked when shifting on the highway, but he said it was normal because the car was cold. The car had supposedly passed an inspection with no issues, but my aunt noticed a dent that wasn't there before. I was also told it had a lifetime warranty, but that turned out to be a mistake and I only got a one-year warranty. The car died a week later and had to be towed back to Gastonia Nissan. I had trouble getting updates from them until I finally reached the general sales manager on 2/10. The car is being repaired by Ford and should be done by 2/15. It's frustrating that the car was sold to me with problems, even though it supposedly passed an inspection.

I called on 12/8 to confirm my appointment for the next day, but they told me that the tire was not in yet and rescheduled it to 12/16. On 12/15, I contacted my salesperson to confirm the appointment, but they told me that the rim repair service would not be there due to rain. They rescheduled it to 12/23, but I couldn't reach my salesperson to confirm the appointment. I called the dealership service department, but they had no record of my appointment. I asked for the sales manager, who told me that my salesperson was on vacation in Alaska. I called again and asked for the general manager, but I was put into the internet sales manager's voicemail. They told me that the rim repair service would not be there the next day, and I would have to wait another week. I drove to the dealership the next day to at least get the new tire installed and get a straight answer on the rim repair. The service department had no record of my appointment, but they put the new tire on my car when I showed them the documentation. I went to the sales manager and asked for the direct contact number to the rim repair service. The sales manager took my car back into the service area to get the rim repaired. He returned 20 minutes later and told me that the rim could not be repaired properly, but he would arrange to take it to a specialty shop to get it done right. They would also arrange for pick up of my car for repair and drop off of a loaner car before the end of the year. Before I left the dealership, the sales manager told me that he would call me within 30 minutes with the details of who and when the service would be done. However, he never called back. It is now 15 days beyond the repair date agreed to at contract signing, and I have texted and called 17 times to get this resolved. I have been repeatedly lied to when being told when I would receive a call back that never happened. I am convinced that they would never have replaced the tire unless I showed up and demanded it be done. I am also convinced that they expect me to give up because I am a senior and live 40 minutes away from the dealership.
