I want to have someone to clean my carpet and I used Chem-Dry Carpet cleaning service in other state before. I was petty happy about what I got. It was two man crew using truckmount powerhead equipments. The service was included pre-spray treatment, pre-vacuum carpet, Chem-dry chemical treatment, using powerhead equipment to remove dirt and soil. My carpet was nice after the cleaning so I decided to look for another Chem-dry company again. I was looking for any Chem-dry company in Bucks County then I found "Chem Dry by the Millers'coupon in clipper magazine. I scheduled my carpet cleaning with them on Aug 27 2009.
I am really disappointed regarding the service I received. There was only one man crew for the carpet cleaning. Everything will cost extra with coupon. The equipment is not powerhead or truckmount system because you need to request it and it cost extra. The pre-vacuum carpet was done carelessly and not thoroughly. Because only one man came, so he cannot lift any heavy furniture. My wife and I were moving the furniture for the person.
The person used very a little chemical solution so the carpet will dry faster but it was not enough to remove tough stain. He used a cotton pad attached to the extractor head and there was no vacuum connected to it. So he was just rubbing the carpet fiber with that cotton pad. Because the pre-vacuum was not done properly, they were rubbing the dirt and other stuff together on the carpet. They claimed that the dirt and soil will be lifted up by the chemical but I need to vacuum myself after the carpet is dry. The corner was not treated due the round head equipments. The guy finished living room, the hallway and master bedroom less than one hour. The time was even shorter than the time I spent to vacuum the carpet only.
I am very disappointed regarding the service. When I discussed how other Chem-dry company did their job with the guy did this job. He just claimed that they are in business for a long time and other customers are happy. And other Chem-dry company went out of business because they gave away free pre-spray, using trunkmount powerhead system, blah, blah, blah. I will not use their service anymore and I strongly suggest you do the same.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
WOW...this was just my experience too! I had the cleaner/person leave my house. I was being up-sold and I was not going to take the bait! I asked the ONE MAN crew to leave my house before receiving any kind of service. Be warned...your coupon will get you basically nothing. They expect you to pay for the pre-soak and this and that!

We had Chem-Dry do traffic areas in our small home. They moved no furniture. The workmanship was very poor, the carpet did not dry all day, and then we were charged 4 times the estimate -- because they do not charge by square footage, they charge by area (irrespective of whether the area is 2'x5' or 10'x12'. We were VERY disappointed.
We will never use Chem-Dry again.
We will not use Chem-Dry again. They went in and out of the house while they were cleaning the carpet without using booties or removing shoes. They left what looked like wet dog hair pieces on the carpet and floor boards and the carpet was soaked when they left. We called thier office to let the guy know and he said we got a better cleaning this time then we did the last time. We strongly disagree with this..But there was no talking to this guy. I strongly suggest Not using any Chem-Dry Company
I am a carpet cleaner and I do not use booties for two reasons. 1. They are a smooth plastic with no tread on them and I can't afford to slip and fall and be injured. 2. Using disposable plastic shoe covers is wasteful.
I am very dissatisfied with Chem Dry. They did a great job cleaning my carpet and rugs, but left my hard wood floors very dirty. A thick white residue is around all my rugs and of course I did not see this until after everything had dried. Do not get them to clean your rugs in house...too much work.
