App needs work, missing basic features
I like that you can place a carry out order on here, but there are some basic things missing that are somewhat concerning. After placing an order the first time, I was able to check in on the app. Second order, no such option. Well, there’s also nowhere to view past or current orders, which could lead to a lot of headache if there’s any glitches in the system, nowhere in the app is there a way to see and show the order you placed.
It’s also a pretty slow app at loading to order, and you can’t leave the app to say view the allergen menu (which the app has as links to a browser and not in app), or else it boots you back to square one of the app, no way to continue mid-selection if you say check whether a side on a 3 for 10 deal has gluten or dairy allergens, you’ll have to go back to place an order, load the dinner selection, select the items, etc.
Lack of Communication and Accommodation
Staying at the hotel n Xtreme door. Walked over. Was told a 30 min wait. No problem. However, we then requested a to go order. The hostess told us we would need to download the ap to order a to-go. No problem. I downloaded the ap and ordered. As I went to check in, the ap asked for my parking spot number. Again, we walked from next door. So, ok, I’ll comply. I walked outside to locate a parking space number. What I found was 20 cars for to-go orders and only 10 parking spot numbers. The parking lot is average size, so it looked like a carnival.
My complaint is the fact I could not order a To-Go from inside, and the lack of communication about the huge line, and the request from her we should walk over, get our car, wait in line, find an open to-go parking space, and wait. Seriously?
Thanks,

Curbside
Don’t offer curbside service if you aren’t going to actually bring it outside. I specifically ordered curbside pickup because I can’t walk on my left foot. I frequent this particular location often, like 3+ times a week, yet this simple concept that is being advertised isn’t being achieved, either the crew is overwhelmed with orders so they are coming out 80% incorrect, or they are so slow the staff doesn’t care. And if the app doesn’t allow someone the opportunity to check into the location there is no employee responsible for keeping an eye on the 4 parking spots for this particular service. I was even told I was the only curbside order they had at the time so if I’m the only one and there is a car in the designated parking spot right outside the giant window, common sense would say that may be the curbside order that has been sitting unattended to on the counter for over 45 minutes.
Insulting
I recently went to Chili’s with other people. It was only 4 in the afternoon so they were not busy. One of the people in my party is big 400 lbs. so we asked for a table. We were told non available. There was no one in the bar area and we could see tables. ?
We were told they were holding them for important customers ! Really important customers. I asked the person to repeat that statement. He said they were coming in later. And they had been there before!
I asked him to take my number back off the waiting list. I was very insulted.
I went to Ground Round instead. We were greeted at the door. We were seated immediately. There were lots of people there eating and having fun. The waitress brought drinks. The food was delicious.
After we had eaten I was sent a text message that my table was ready!
Ha! They are ridiculous! I guess all the really important people were done.
Too bad!
Overall Good App, Some Features Are Buggy
I love Chili’s lol, and the convenience of being able to save my account on the app and order quickly makes planning dinner a breeze. But there are a few bugs I’m noticing that make me want to use the app less:
1) When my location services are set to “always on” for the app, I’m often marked as “here” before even reaching the restaurant out on the road! Not sure if it’s the app or the restaurant that sets the “here” radius, but it makes the employees think I’m impatient lol
2) I now keep location services off, however, if you do that, you have to press the “I’m here” button on the order page when you arrive. That’d be fine if you were able to switch to another app (ex: gps to get to the restaurant) and come back to the Chili’s app without it completely resetting and not allowing you to pull your order up to mark that you’re here.
It’s minor stuff that I think would improve the success of the app :) everything else is great!
A few annoying design quirks
For example, if you’re in the middle of an order and leave the app, the app can return to the home tab which offers that you “start an order” and when you click order, it asks you to confirm your location, and only then can you click the unlabeled bag icon in the top right corner to see that your order is still there. It feels like “continue your order” could be on any of these screens.
Less annoyingly, when entering payment info, you select the type of card you have, and then enter your card number, and if your payment method doesn’t fit the card number (based on the number pattern) the app tells you there’s a problem with your card number. But it could be a problem with the card type; it should highlight both fields. Moreover, if it has the ability to detect card type based on the number, why does it need to be entered?
Unrelated to the app, I’d love to see plant-based chicken crispers on the menu, plant based chicken has come a long way!
Love you Chili’s
App is better than most but could use more work
Comparing the Chili’s app to other restaurant apps, I think Chili’s is ahead of the game. But it still needs some work. This review is solely about the app, the food is always good here.
Pros:
Ability to pay at the restaurant. I’m glad you have this option because sometimes you want to pay with cash. Others don’t allow you to do this, and it forces me to call and place my order.
Cons:
-I can’t see the details of my previous order. Currently it only displays the name of the items, without any customization or price or rewards redeemed. I wish to see the full order, with all the details.
-Lack of customization. You allow the most basic customization of any app I’ve used. I find it hard to believe that anyone that eats at Chili’s does not customize their items. Allowing you to change the cheese, the sauce, add extra meats, extra vegetables, etc. Why don’t you take all your orders from in store and scrub all the customizations people make and compile a list of things to allow on your app?
Amazing Service and Manager in Brighton MI!
Today, my sister and I sat at the bar and played trivia, drank expertly prepared Martinis by Dave and nibbled on perfect nachos served to us with a smile by Norm. As we ate, drank and played we were no longer customers--rather bartender Dave treated us as family! Filled with skill and exuding personality, Dave is simply the best bartender I've had the fortune of meeting. No one is more aware of Dave's qualities than Mgr Jessica. I now know why I have always enjoyed the great food and drink at this location--Jessica is an excellent, insightful manager who has clearly put together a winning team in her servers and bartenders. So it's true that when you have a great manager you're certain to have excellent staff! I wish this were the standard rather than the exception for restaurants everywhere. Stop in at Chilis in Brighton MI #433 and have Dave make you a martini. All of the food is excellent and be sure ask to meet Mgr Jessica before you go to round off what will surely be an awesome experience!
Frustrating
This app is real bad.
Minor issues: no support for iPhone 5s screen. The time for meal completion is way off. I don't mind waiting but the app seems to just tell you about 12 to 15 min from the order time. On a simple level it could add more time around lunch and weekends. On a more complex level it could look at amount of orders ongoing at the store. Both pretty lame for this day and age but excuse able.
Showstoppers: massive database issues. Almost everything I ordered resulted in an error because one of my sides was a regional item. I already put in my zip code and chose a restaurant why would there be items on my menu that aren't for sale here? So I then ordered a chicken sandwich with an extra side of the very same no fat honey mustard that comes on the sandwich and got an error that there is no extra fat free honey mustard. The best part of all of this was that the app waits until the very end of the checkout process to let you know. These errors are inexcusable.
The bottom line is to call the store or use the website for carry out.
I love this place
I love this place. I’ve only eaten at the one on Poplar Level Rd in Louisville Ky. And I’ve only dined in at the restaurant itself once. All the other times (which has been at least 100 by now) has all been done thru ordering via the App and picking it up at the Carry Out Counter on either Friday or Saturday nights before I go into work. So I can have it for Lunch/Dinner at work. The ladies that have always taken care of me there have always been sweet and very awesome at their job. They have never messed up my order. They have always given me extra sauce when I asked for extra. And kitchen staff had always had the food read at the time that I asked it to be when I ordered it ok the App. There has been times that I’ve ordered the food 12 hours or more in advanced the morning before I had to go to work as I’m going to bed (I work 3rd shift alone as a dispatcher at the largest Towing & Recovery Company in Louisville Ky every Friday & Saturday night). So I highly recommend the App and the Restaurant. At least the one I go to on Poplar Level Rd in Louisville Ky.
Enjoy!
Yikes!
Obviously that little to no testing went into the testing of the Chili's iPhone app.
There's an option to find a local Chili's restaurant in the app. You click on the icon to find a Chili's in your area, and you're given an error message that "ordering online is not available in your area".
You get that message, even though another icon is for specifically ordering online!
In addition, I attempted to search for Chili's locations by entering in State information. A red error message basically ordered me to do this.
The app didn't understand the terms "CA" or "ca" or "California".
The app didn't understand "WA" or "wa" or "Washington".
If the purpose of this app was to help me, a consumer, find the nearest Chili's restaurant so I could spend money there. Then, the app failed. I don't understand releasing an app like this, if one of the main advertised purposes doesn't function.
"I want my baby-back, baby-back, baby-back, baby-back, baby-back, baby-back... CHILI'S. Baby-back ribs!"
You should bring back that song, instead of releasing non-working apps, yo.
Worst service ever
We ordered a southwest salad and a chicken enchilada and also the starter one of the starters with the beef the the castle skillet so they never brought my skillet out and my southwest salad was a mess up I just sent about the first time it was wrong when they brought it back to me and so instead of them taking it back this time they just bring me out some grilled chicken to put on top of my salad and thenThe server never even checked to see if it was OK after the food was brought out until I had to get up and go find the hostess to help me with the order because it was messed up and also the manager came to talk to me and see what was going on and she told me that in Lou of the situation she took the salad off of our meal which she didn’t she did that after the fact I watched her walk to the register and take it off this was just a bad service for me today and I would not recommend Chili’s to anybody.I didn’t even get to mention about my enchiladas there was not even a enchilada sauce on it there was nothing on it it looks like rolled tacos and some chicken and cheese it was horrible
Condiments option
There aren’t sufficient add ons or remove choices. Like you can’t add a side of guacamole with southwest egg rolls. Or remove the ranch from the quesadillas. There are no substitute type options, write in options or special instructions buttons. Every item should have modification buttons. If I want a side of guacamole there is no place to add it save ordering a menu item that has add “fresh guacamole” option added into its possible modifications. You could have sides of condiments listed under their “sides” menu. Even there you have to hit the sides button to get it to show you the sides instead of it just going ahead and listing the options directly. Just not possible to order something like you actually want it with out having to call the store after you order. Yet you cant call in the order, you can only order to go through the app. Maybe that’s it. They just want you to order items as they are on the menu so they make it difficult to modify. Either way the last time I ordered the take out, I called twice and talked to the girl at my window twice and they still got the condiments wrong. So with that said I still love their food.
Order Resets Every Time You Switch Apps
The app has a clean interface and is easy-to-use, even if you’re not computer savvy. The menu is laid out well and the customization options are great. It would have been a 5-star review, but every time you minimize the app, switch apps, your phone locks, or you breathe too hard the entire order resets - even if you’re logged in to your account. I was ordering for me, my mom, and my sister so I texted them to ask if they wanted bacon crumbles on their food. I returned to the app and the whole order was gone. I had to ask what side they wanted - same thing. I had to check my bank account balance to see which card to pay with - reset. I had to walk to get my credit card out my purse - my phone locked due to inactivity and boom, it was all gone. I ended up having to re-input the order (and all the customizations) at least 6 times. In the time it took to order and pay for 5 items, I could have driven the 10 minutes to the restaurant, ordered in person, and driven home. It’s a great app, but unless it is programmed to save your order in progress, you better treat it like a drive-thru: know exactly what you want the first time and have payment in hand.
Not a happy customer
Purchased a electronic gift card online from a 3rd party vendor. Downloaded the Chili’s app to place my order for delivery at the hotel I’m staying at. Placed my order about to use the gift card and guess what? You can’t use the gift card for delivery the card can only be used for dine in or to go orders. Seriously! That is not mentioned anywhere on the gift card I travel for my job and stay at different hotels. Why would I get an Uber of Lyft to go and pick up an order when Chili’s advertises that they deliver? So guess what I’m out of using a gift card that I purchased because I’m 99% sure I will NEVER go in to eat after the deceptive practices that Chili’s uses. Why can’t management take the gift card over the phone and place it for delivery? That would be the most practical thing to do if you want business... job one is good customer service which Chili’s failed at miserably. Just think if you accommodate your customer that customer in return will give a good review which means gaining an additional customer. But instead you refuse to accommodate your customer and get a bad review! Wow Chili’s this is not good customer service so I’m out of money and Chili’s made a profit off of me! Not happy
App Needs Improvement, but it works
1. Biggest complaint about this app is that there is NO user context protection, so if you get a message while placing an order and you decide to read it prior to completing your order, be prepared for everything you’ve selected so far to vanish; you will have to re-select your entire order.
@Developer, google “iOS how to save context” or “how to save UserDefaults” and ensure your app protects the in-progress order data when the app goes into the background. It’s easier than you’d think. If you can do all the other cool stuff you’ve done, you can do this.
2. Similarly, it would make life a lot easier if the app would store favorites to speed up ordering, which would also reduce the risk of issue #1.
3. I find there to be a lack of freedom in customizing menu items. The two biggest incentives for mobile ordering are Order customization/accuracy and avoiding lines/phone calls, with time saving being a close third. Just to give some kind of example: cheese. Maybe I don’t want extra cheese; maybe I want to add 4 slices of cheese - currently not possible.
Biggest Feature request is to integrate ApplePay. Whether an app or store takes ApplePay is becoming more important, and I’m self aware enough to realize that I’ve started to avoid places that don’t take ApplePay and shift that business to places that do. Also, if a store’s app allows ApplePay but the store itself does not, I will use the app.
Bad service
The last 2 times were terrible service. So slow! Only SIX tables occupied! Male host & male employees are very lazy acting, leaving tables to be cleaned, while people are being sent away to wait in their cars. We finally got in last time to see why our wait was soooo long and it is because of lazy employees! I felt bad for the other people waiting outside because I knew they were just waiting for a table to be cleaned! Even our to-go order was a practically raw steak (ordered medium) that our son wouldn’t even eat because it was bleeding! Here we sit now, in your Paris location, looking at how filthy it is. I’m shocked! Or am I now accustomed to such bad service/food, that I’ve learned it’s your norm! A party of TWO, that came in after us, leaving as seated before us, also a party of two. And, I believe it was because when the host finally came out of the bathroom to his station, I mentioned how slow they were. He did not comment. Hmmmm. Also, there was an elderly couple in front of us that stood there for a while, only to be sent to their car & the man had a hard time walking back out and in again, we noticed. And, they barely had time to get in the car before they had to get out again. If you’re young, dumb & lazy, you don’t get it. And, apparently the management at this location does NOT CARE! This will likely be my last visit here, because I’ve been very patient and still no change. This is not a Covid 19 problem, so please don’t try to tell me it is. The last time I ordered through door dash, the food was also improperly prepared and delivered in an untimely manner. I’ve already complained to your corporate office about that, thinking it would help. Not! Get it together!
I never order or eat at chili’s again
Poor customer service Poor rating at Moore ok rating suppose general male manager dark hair heavy set worse customer service ever at least the other manager said he did know exzactly how curb side works but the GM said he was also unsure but became rude and very disrespectful in front of my 1 yr old daughter so I downloaded app after holding forever to call in my order and since I had my 1 yr old 1 day before Thanksgiving I did curve side while sitting In my car waited the allowed time plus 20 minutes and the rude young lady ask if I checked in advised online didn’t mention anything about checking in she then goes I’ll be out in a min came handed my food with no thank you or nothing so since I thought that was rude I got my daughter and when in and spoke to 1 manager about it so he backed what she said with a I think I asked to you think or know he again said unsure but his general manager is right here her came with the same spill asked him the same and he blame the vendor of the app then he ask what he could do to make it right I asked for a full refund and return the food he refused refund again blamed vendor asked for his manager card like his that he so quick gave when he refuse refund and insulted me by saying he couldn’t refund where was he gonna get it from he has kids to feed too when I again asked for his manager he stormed off and made me wait another 5minutes then comes back with my 2800 cash and told be my card would be refunded too and of course it wasn’t like I told his it would after he brought me a receipt with my order on it the taken off a receipt but I new that was made up because my debit card wasn’t attached to the bogus receipt he first tried to give me therefore I have not been to chili’s since
Chilis Complaints 17
What happened? To go ordering is frustrating
Every time I open the app, it resets itself. If I switch to the message app to see what someone wants and then switch back, the app resets itself instead of leaving it where I was in the order process. But the worst is, after completing the order I get absolutely nothing. No email, no texts to confirm the order and no way to find the order once it’s been placed. I used to get a text and an email.
Ni idea when the order will be ready. And no way to communicate for curbside delivery when I get there. I used to be able to reply to a text “here”.
Your to go order process seriously needs to be reviewed. The web site is better, this app is painful and frustrating.
hair on my pasta + more complaints
there was a hair on my chillies pasta, i’m disgusted and feel sick, i’ve ordered 2 times and there has always been something to complain about; barely any sauce, chicken , or burnt chicken. Sometimes there is hair on the pasta, sometimes there is not so this is just a warning. Chillies my favorite! Don’t get me wrong, but every-time i order there aren’t enough sauce, and there’s usually hair on the pasta. Also, when i ordered the drink, there was too many seeds, but that isn’t nearly bad, so i’ll let that slide. Overall it was not a good experience. The reason i’m rating this 2 stars, ‘cause there was hair on my pasta but other than that, it was okay. Minor complaints but okay.
D Bowers
I visited this Chilis on June 28 with my family. After receiving flat soft drinks and complaining we were advised that the carbonation was leaking and all soft drinks were flat. So staff knew about this, yet we continued to watch server after server bringing flat drinks out to customers. Upon receiving our triple decker appetizer, I quickly noticed the fried pickles were dripping in grease. They were completely inedible. The service was slow at best. We even noticed another customer waiting at the kitchen door for her server and service. Never saw a manager nor did anyone ever ask our mail wise. We will not be returning here ever again, ever. If I could have rated a 1/2 star I would have.
Avoid this upgrade at all costs
Somebody, somewhere, in a conference room, high on caffeine, and with strong UI/UX credentials, pitched Chili's that their app wasn't hip enough. That it's not a flat design. That it's not speaking the language of the target demographics.
And so, it would appear, a solution in search of a problem arose. Thing is, this newer, hipper solution is an atrocious fail in user experience. There's no visual feedback when interface elements are interacted with, and the excruciating slowness of the app is just, well, excruciating to witness. What took a few taps and a half minute in the old app has grandiosely morphed into a 5-minute ordeal to complete a 2-item order.
Face, it's my pleasure to introduce palm.
Soggy chips
Used to love eating at Chili’s. Last experience almost did us in for not returning. Received our chips and salsa in good time...this was good! But, the chips were all totally saturated and dripping cooking oil...bad. We finally got the attention of the service person, showed the basket full of soggy chip and oil and asked if we could exchange for a new batch. She kindly returned with a new batch, apologized and departed our table...good! After eating a couple of “dry” chips we noticed the rest of the chips were still covered in oil...bad! You could pick the chips up and watch the oil drip off of them. This was totally unsat, both the first time and the second time! We departed...need some much better quality control...
Terrible usability
Just in the registration process, what a hassle. I start the registration process and get to the password entry, which three or four pages in because they can’t just put all of the information on one page like most apps manage. I switch to my password manager to generate a password and when I come back to the Chili’s app it has reset so I’ve got to start the whole process over. Go through the multiple pages again but the app doesn’t like the password I’ve generated, so I need to switch to my password manager again which of course means I’m going to have to restart the process once again.
Once you start using the app, too many taps required to perform simple actions. Chili’s food may be good, but this app is terrible.
Needs a lot of work
C’mon, Chili’s! This app could be so much better. Save my address for starters. I shouldn’t have to enter my home address at all, certainly not on the 4th or 5th time I’ve had it delivered to my house because there’s nowhere else to be in COVID times. And order status? Non existent. Not in the menu. It shows it after the order but heaven help you if you tap anything else because it’s gone forever. Why? If you keep it and don’t do anything, it doesn’t display the map that DoorDash has. And it’s them delivering. iPad friendly? Nope. It’s 2020 and should scale properly and take advantage of the larger screen. But it does not.
Chili’s this app is the single most important connection you have with your customers right now and you haven’t taken it seriously.
Updating Info
I like the convenience of the app but there is no way to update some info. I can't change the phone number to my new number so I can be getting the texts again. It lets you change it for your contact number when ordering but not in your account info. I also could change my "favorite store" in the account info but not when I was ordering. It just defaulted back. I thought at some point in ordering I'd be able to change or even just confirm it but I couldn't so I had to immediately call the other restaurant to cancel my order and still had to call the restaurant I wanted it to go to so trying to use the app just wasted my time. This is super inconvenient since I moved but it would also be inconvenient if I was out of town or something or just in a diff area.
Still needs help
Been using the app since it came out on both the iPad and iPhone. Have gotten numerous surveys and write the same on each one...Put a special instruction comment section for the cook/cashier. We order chix fajitas every time and have to ask for lettuce EVERY time since for some reason it doesn't come with it unless you eat there. When you ask for it at the takeout register, it's like pulling teeth. Then you ask for four little containers for the two orders of fajitas and it's like you just broke up with them. They get soooo annoyed. Makes me not want to come back. At least if it's in a special request section, I don't have to see their annoyed faces when they put the order together. PLEASE fix. This latest update did nothing other than looks...no improvements!
Ok
So the Chili’s app is ok. It’s easy to place an order and pick up. The thing is if you want to modify a plate you cannot do that on the app.
So say I want fish tacos with no cilantro because I’m allergic, there is no way I can put no cilantro on the app. Also, say I wanted to loaded baked potato soup with no bacon guess what... YOU CANNOT MODIFY IT ON THE APP! Annoying. You then have to call the store, wait 15 minutes for someone to pick up, then modify it.. wouldn’t it be so much simpler to have a section where you can add that?
If you take Chick-fil-A’s app and compare it to Chili’s app, it’ll be as if I (with very basic computer skills) designed the app. I’m sure Chili’s can do so much better but they don’t, why? Because maybe they don’t want to spend the money? Annoying.
Chili’s
My husband I just went to the Chili’s in Hagerstown and we ordered the chicken bacon ranch quesadillas. My quesadilla came out and found several big pieces of grill char in it after taking a bite of it, my husbands was perfectly fine. We expressed our issue and we had to ask the waitress to get another one! We left the pieces on the plate and the waitress took it back to show the kitchen. We got desert and the plate had chocolate sauce all over the bottom of the plate and it got smeared all over the table (desert we ordered didn’t even have chocolate on it). After all that happened we overheard a manager apologizing to a table behind us for their wait for their food. Not once did we get a visit from a manager for the issue with our food. Usually our experience is good but this was a bad visit!
At capacity on 5/23
We came into Chilis in Crystal River on 5/23 after my daughters graduation. We were told by an employee that they were at max capacity and could not take any more customers. She also commented that she didn’t realize it was graduation and they let all their servers go home early and only had two left.
I have been in the restaurant business for 25 years and every Manager knew when there was a big event in town. Staffing was always extra n those days.
To say they were at capacity vs short staffed is a different story. So here I am the next night getting take out due to the “fear” of the actual restaurant being at “max capacity” again.
Very poor management and treatment of a family on a special evening. We came to Chilis because that’s what our graduate wanted.
Please plan better Crystal River!
No contact
Ordered delivery from the app tonight, stated it’d be ready in about 20 minutes. 1 hour later no food, call the store to inquire about it and find out the order is just sitting there waiting for a DoorDasher to pick it up and that I need to talk to DoorDash about it. 90 minutes after my order I just go and pick it up myself. Contact DD and they have no information about my order at all and that I need to talk to Chili’s. Zero way to talk to anyone about the orders on the app. Call customer service, no one answers. Website has link to talk to someone and it redirects me to a site they want me to pay $5 to talk to someone. Food is fine and for carry out the app is great, but when I paid $11+ for a non existent delivery and no reasonable way to rectify it is presented, gotta give the app itself 1 star.
Bruh
Ok so the food here is great, I’ll give credit where credit is due. But during the time of Covid-19 curb side pickup is the main way to get food from here. But online it showed have the menu and on the app we had to re order like five times. Very difficult.
On top of that time before Covid we dinned in with our grandmother.. we ordered food each and the waitress took our order incorrectly and when they brought the food out they brought our youngest (6 year old) a huge meal that was meant for a family. We told the waitress that was incorrect and she still charged us for it until we got upset and had her take it off. Then the waitress came and sat down next to me and said (is your grandmother insane? I remember her ordering that” that ticked us all off and the waitress is still there but I don’t know her name.
Food was terrible
Hello, My son and I had dinner at the one in Apex, Beaver Creek Commons. I hate to say this but the food was terrible. It wasn’t worth the money that I paid. I’m always eating at your location but this time the experience last night was not a good one. I got half rack ribs with loaded mash potatoes and a salad. The ribs were cold and tough...couldn’t eat that so they bought out another half rack and didn’t replace my loaded mash potatoes either and this time they made it toooo salty. I couldn’t eat that one either but walked out with it but threw it in the trash because I didn’t want to bother anyone again but I should have told them again that the meal was terrible. My bill came to 31.68 then I tipped waitress, $5.00. I’m asking for a refund. My money was truly wasted. Please call me [protected]

Worst “app” in the universe — good food
The app is like a really bad website in an ancient browser.
UI elements jump all over the screen as your scroll.
The app jumped to a different tab on its own, presumably after some content loaded.
Hitting “back” caused the loading bar at the top of the screen and took multiple seconds. To hit back. In an app. Seriously.
This entire “app” is clearly just a webpage wrapped in an app skin. It is SO bad.
My CNBC app, which is an actual app, tells me that Brinker International, which owns Chili’s, is worth about $540 million dollars.
I strongly recommend you go to the ATM and withdraw maybe $150k, and have an app created which will be maybe 100 times better than this current one, even if you have a middle school student make it.
All kidding aside, it seriously is a bad app and should be an embarrassment to the company.
It can’t be that hard
This app is good, but it won’t allow you to use gift cards during checkout... only credit. If you want to pay with a gift card, you still have to go inside to pick it up. I wouldn’t think it’s asking too much to have that functionality on the site, particularly during these times when many of us want to limit unnecessary contact.
I also noticed, although I believe it’s part of their external site so I’m not rating the app based on this, but the page where you check gift card balances, is not optimized for mobile. It is almost impossible to utilize with any efficiency as the security image “test” (where you prove your a human) falls outside of the mobile page parameters and it’s really hard to complete.
I love Chili’s and this app is great! I’ll be using it again to place orders, but I hope that add gift card payments soon!
