Chrysler simply terrible

Bought 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 truck in Sept of 04. Since Oct of 06 the truck shakes violently. You never know when it will happen. Dodge serviced the truck once in Nov of 06 and again in Dec of 06 for the same problem. I have the violent shaking on a video from inside the truck. Once the shaking starts, the truck must be pulled over no matter how many cars are on the road and brought to a complete stop. Then you can start the truck up again and hope the shaking does not start again. It happens intermittently which is why it is such a death trap. Several complaints listed about this on complaints.com. Dodge replaced some things but since they cannot "see" the problem when their mechanic drives our truck and wastes our gas, they refuse to repair it. It is not a repairable issue. It is a death trap waiting to kill our family or another family. Dodge needs to refund our money in full so we can buy a "safe vehicle". Dodge has seen the video several times but they ignore the evidence. They don't care if we go to the news they said. The truck is not even 3 years old. I would love to email the video to you also.

Chrysler worse customer service

I purchased a jeep patriot 2 years ago. the car was brand new. last month my car's clutch broke down. The towing truck (provided by Chrysler) took 4 hours to pick my truck up, and take it to the closest dealer. My jeep was taken to Teterboro Jeep, at rt 46, in little ferry nj, and the service was horrible. That dealer didn't provide me with a courtesy car ( for transportation )and I had to wait for a week, for me for my car, to be repaired. I had to rent a car, paying $109.00 per pay, in order for me to

to go to my job (that is 45 minutes away from my home.) I complained to consumers affairs, and i was informed that there was nothing to be done, due to the Lemon's law (2 years or 18000) anything after that comes out of the consumer's pocket. Those are our taxes at work. The US government should have let Chrysler go under. Not because the terrible quality of their vehicles, but also because the even worse customer support provided by this manufacturer.

Chrysler service department

My husband brought in the car to have the air conditioner checked because he had a certificate from you for a free air conditioner check. Well the service person came back after checking the AC and had an estimate of two hundred and some dollars. My husband said he could not have any work done because he didn't have the money to pay for it at this time. The service person told him not to worry that they could "finance" it. My husband was shocked to hear this. The service personrepeated it 3 times that this could be "financed". My husband didn't sign the estimate but asked the service person to check his engine light since it could be "financed" because it has been going on here and there and in the manual, it tells you it has something to do with the gas cap. We replaced the gas cap and it would be okay for a while and then the light would go on again and off again. In the manual, it says that if it starts to blink, then there is something major wrong with it. It never starting blinking just goine out. He asked if it could be checked. No estimate was given on the engine light. Since the service person told my husband that it could be "financed" the service man took it that it was a go to fix it and my husband took it as it would/could be "financed". Well, my husband didn't want to sit around for a great length of time so a shuttle drove him home. They called later in the afternoon saying the car was done and what the cost was. So my husband and I went in to pick up the car keys and they handed him a bill (which he signed because that is what you do), and they asked for $432(?). My husband told them that it was suppose to be "financed" (there is that word again) but the girl said they don't do that and called a manager over to talk to us. The manager tried to find out what happened and said they don't "finance" service bills. But, he would talk to the service person in the morning. Well, the next morning, the service person called my husband and said that when he said "finance", he meant it could be put on our credit card. My husband said guess what? ...we don't have any credit cards and told him about an accident he had which is the reason we don't have any credit cards.
This morning, the service person called again and asked when we are picking up the car. My husband told them he might be able to pay a hundred or so dollars by the end of the week but the service person said...no, no...we need all of it! He said that Corporate is after him to get the money because they don't want the car sitting there any longer. Well, if we couldn't pay for it at the time of pickup, we can't pay for the total amount now. We were told by a service/parts person (not in Wisconsin) that when car sales are down, it is up to the service department to make up some of the loss so we know that the dealership will always side with the service person instead of the cusotmer because he is doing what he has been told to do. They work up plans in their service meetings. Well, they should start by teaching their people that there is a big difference between the word "financed" and credit cards! You have not made any effort in trying to work this out by letting us pay over a couple of months or figure something out that is best for both sides. All we got is a call saying you want the whole payment. Isn't it law that you have to sign an estimate before work is done? It cannot be verbal?

Chrysler dishonest dealer

I purchased a 2008 Chrysler Crossfire from Goldstein Chrysler as a new car, however the general paint condition of the car indicated that it had been washed with dirty water and/or dirty sponges, etc. and the surface was composed of large areas of swirl marks. As was demonstrated to the dealer with photos, the car had embedded dirt in many areas, including door jambs, around hinges, under the spoiler, under the hood, as well as large quantities of tree leaves and seed pods under the hood and in the cowl area indicating it had been stored outside, and not stored indoors as indicated by the salesman. The car was purchased sight unseen by me, and shipped by sealed van; the bill of lading signed by a Goldstein's employee confirmed that there were 21 distinct paint defects, including 1 paint chip, 16 scratches, 2 stained areas, 1 area of rubbed paint, and 1 dent. I had been promised by the sales department that the oil would be changed prior to shipment since the car had been in storage for more than a year, however when I received the car, the Flexible Service Indicator indicated that it was more than 170 days past its recommended service. When I contacted the dealer, service manager Ed Serian, I was told to send in an estimate for repairs, which I did, for the amount of $350. He then asked for an invoice to prove that I had paid for the work, which I sent him. After the invoice was received, Ed Serian sent me a letter telling me that the car was an "aged unit", which created the damaged condition of the car, and that prep was missed, for which he apologized. Also, that they do not service cars based on age, only on mileage (though that is Chrysler's recommendation). The final statement, even after the prior statement that I would be reimbursed for repairs, was that any reimbursement would be denied. I would like your assistance to encourage the dealer to do what was promised, reimburse me for the repairs to the car's paint, and for the oil change. Thank you.

Chrysler bait, switch and lie

I was lied to. Yes, I am 84 yrs old, but I was going to get a new car to last my few years left on this earth. The salesmen took me for a ride and yes, took advantage of me. I told them what I could afford and what my payments had to be. AFTER signing, which they do not point anything out to you, I find my payments are not what we said and there was added things I said NO to. Warranty, fees, my payment and the bank was not what we agreed upon. I told them I did not want this car. I brought it to them, put the keys on the counter, and the mean man behind the counter said, "It is YOUR car, get it off this property or I will have it towed and you will pay storage fees!" I was trembling I was so upset. I just cannot believe a business would be run like this. Liars and taking advantage of a little "old lady" like me! I am 4'11", a little woman, like I said 84, but I still work. This is a horrible business and I will tell anyone and everyone that will listen to me.

Chrysler water in tail lights

I have a 2006 PT Cruiser. Recently a person who had been behind me, pulled up beside me and toldl me all my tail light were out. When checked, there was condensation (water) inside the tail light cover. We replaced the burned out light bulbs and dried out the covers. About a week later, I went through a car wash. Again last week, my tail lights are out and there is more water in the tail light covers. I'm thinking they are shorting out from the water. Going to dealership tomorrow. Has anybody else had this problem?

This is a common problem that I am sure Chrysler surely knows about. I have a 2002, my sister has a 2006, they both have the problem. I have seen the lens assembly half full of water. I drilled holes so it would drain. Guess Chrysler is waiting for a big law suit and really ugly publicity before they do something.

I finally found the source of the water in my tail lights to be in the tight spot between the brakelight and the turn signal light. Looks like the light cause the section to overheat and split creating a large but hard to see opening for water to enter. I used some red high temperature silicone that I had left over to seal it up.

Chrysler company taking too long to provide coverage

Purchased an extended service contract from NW Jeep for my 2002 Mini Cooper on 2/19/2008. In February 2009 the transmission failed. Annapolis MINI contacted them immediately for authorization to repair. Chrysler Service Contracts stated that the dealership needed to repair my Mini and THEN submit a request for coverage. Chrysler Service Contracts requested all service records since I owned the vehicle. They were faxed to Chrysler the same day. I contacted Chrysler on 2/27/2009. They refused my request on the status of my claim because "they have a dialogue" with the dealership. On 3/5/2009, I spoke with the service department at Annapolis MINI. They have not been contacted by Chrysler Service Contracts as of that date.

According to the extended service contract, I have complied with the claim process and the transmission is a covered component. I believe they are delaying the approval assuming that I will pay for the repair and then have to keep trying to get Chrysler Service Contracts to possibly pay for a covered component. Chrysler Service Contracts needs to honor their written contract.

I purchased a 7yr. 100k mile Chrysler Service Contract for my 2007 Chrysler Town & Country vehicle. I purchased the vehicle used with 13, 000 miles on it from Venice Chrysler in Venice, Florida on 6 March 2008. It was my understanding the contract began at the date of my sale...WRONG!
Today I contacted Chrysler Service Contracts and was told the contract began on 14 August 2006 (the date of the first owners purchase). I was unaware of this until today...19 March 2012. So I spent $3300 for a Service Contract that is NOT for 7 years, but rather for 5 years.
Salesman did NOT make this clear
No extended warranty again!

I purchased an maximum care service contract on my Mercedes. Chrysler Service Contracts is a nightmare to deal with. The will give verbal authorizations to servicers and then change their mind on covering the repairs after the fact. I have had service work done at both the Mercedes dealer/servicer and later at an Independent Mercedes servicer. Both servicers end up spend hours on the phone having to argue about getting paid on the repairs. No one knows what they are doing at Chrysler Service Contracts. They will use any excuse to not pay your claim and have no idea about the vehicles they authorize to repair. Do not buy a Chryler Serivce Contract.

I also dropped a black dress coat w/ belt off at Somerset Cleaners of Troy, MI. When I went to pick up the coat it looked worse than when I dropped it off. To top it off when I got home the belt was missing. So I called and they said they found the belt and I could stop by and pick it up. When I picked it up there looked to be dog hair on it, I don't think it was even the belt that belonged to my coat. I showed the kid the dirty belt and he said that he could put it through to be cleaned again. I said, "no thanks." I will never return!

Chrysler fraud

When I purchased a 2006 Dodge Caravan from Maple Ridge Chrysler for $17, 600. on April 2, 2008, they proved to be devious, dishonest and untrustworthy. Prior to the sale, they were over friendly, driving me to and from their lot, offering me hotdogs, coffee and even paying for my lunch. But BEWARE: To facilitate a tough sale, they pledged, "SATISFACTION OR YOU CAN RETURN THE CAR, UP TO ONE MONTH." Freeway speeds produced abnormal road noise, and the upholstery reeked with cigarette smoke, so I returned the car. The dealership was not concerned about the problem, but they were very happy to find me another car. But here is the rub: They steeply depreciated my Dodge Caravan to $13, 000, a 27% loss. They stood to make a huge profit on the initial sale, on the devalued return car, and on the exchange car. This is a very profitable scam. I backed away from this deception. They called me at home several times during the next week pleading with me to complete the sale, and even offered to cancel the exorbitant documentation fee. Another unethical procedure, was to pad the invoice with unwanted or unknown fees such as extended warrantee, nitrogen fee for the tires, exorbitant documentation fee and a $299."go green" fee which I believe is illegal. Moreover, they tried to skip out on BCAA protesting the vehicle before sale. They reneged on advertised gifts (trip to Mexico and a barbeque grill), as well as a car wash, engine shampoo and spot painting scratches. The general manager had a bazaar way of responding to my complaints. He changed the subject, offered me hot dogs and coffee, then ran off to a meeting. Moreover, he and the CEO would not reply to my letters. This dealership has been in business only 3 years, but has had 16 complaints lodged with the BBB of BC. So, BEWARE!

We just moved to BC from Alberta and unfortunatley dealt with MRC before doing any research on them... We too got screwed around. It's a long story and I just typed it all to the Better Business Bureau, so I don't feel like re-typing. (not in the best of moods). Basically they made us a deal, then a few days later couldn't figure out how they made that deal, so they ended up sneaking some hidden charges into our financing and then tried to get us to pay cash for the same charges they hid in our financing. They threatened us with "high paid lawyers" (I quote) and that they would put a lien on our vehicle. We are still dealing with them, and honestly, I just want my Chevrolet that we traded in back! *sigh... you live you learn I guess. If you don't have to deal with this aweful place, DON'T! They are crooks, and they tell lie on top of lie. I hope this complaint stops at least one person from getting screwed over by MRC. Hopefully more!

Crooked company, ### vehicles like a 2009 Patriot, high pressure sales tactic, shallow sales staff and insincere managers. Terrible reputation as a dealer in Vancouver area and smacked with $10k fine for advertising deception by Vehicle Sales Authority. I lost $12, 000.00 value on this garbage vehicle and would not buy another car from them if my life depended on it...scam artists with inferior products. Do yourself a huge favor, buy a Ford or GM better product than the laughable Jeep Patriot. Too many people hate this dealership and I echo the same sentiments as others here on this website. I hope the dealership goes bankrupt and their service department is incompetent and poorly operated as they are inept in fixing automatic transmissions and Jeep Canada is a shady organization. Want a lemon vehicle, buy a Jeep!

My husband and I went in just 3 days ago to look into purchasing a car from M.R. Chrysler. They took our old car and offered $3000 for it. We thought it was a good deal, until financing came up. They told us we had 0 down, although, before told us we could use the $3000 as a down payment. Instead, they took $3000 off the purchase price of the new vehicle. That day they told us our financing had gone through and everything was fine. Until the next day...
They illegally took my banking information from our previous insurance and placed it on the new insurance, therefor taking insurance payments from my account without my authorization. Seeing asthough I am no way involved with the purchase of the new car, it is strictly my husbands name on it, taking the insurance payments from my account was down right illegal. We are currently battling through tons of paper work trying to figure out and resolve this. All we want is our old car back and it looks asthough that is going to be a battle all of it's own.
I strongly advice against EVER using M.R. Chrysler as they are scam artists, manipulative, and decieving.
I will update once all is figured out.

We too just recently have had similiar experiences with MRC, numerous phone calls, promises that don't come through. We originially told them that we wanted to trade in 2 newer 2008 trucks and get 1 brand new truck and 1 used truck and wanted the payments to be around $750 per month, they told us that would be no problem. After about 3 weeks of going back and forth with them as they were not offering us what we had discussed and actually we were no longer taking there calls as we were sick of it by then, they finally came up with an agreement that we could live with! Also during this time as a pressure tactic (I'M SURE) they advised that they had already sold my truck(which I had owned since Oct 2007 and it didn't even have 20, 000kms, now selling mid May 2010 they were hot for it)and that if we didn't act quickly they would lose the sale...well too bad it's not your truck to sell!So we go ahead wIth it and tell them to get all the paperwork ready so that we do not have to sit there for 3 hours, yup that was all taken care of, no problem. WELL we were there for about 4.5 hrs and during that time the numbers changed the cash back changed, the Tono cover that was suppose to come with the truck wasn't in and would be in the following week. At this point they are now trying to get our insurances switched over and of course they get mine done but not my husbands as ICBC closes at 10PM, and was told that he would have to come back the following day, he was so pissed he walked out, he left his new truck there(parked in the breezeway with no keys) and took his old truck home. I finally leave with my new truck aprox 10:45pm and had been there since 6:30. We were offered add'l gifts for all our troubles. Big Deal! But here it is 3 weeks later and we are still dealing with them as the Tono cover that was suppose to be in the following week now has to be custom made as there isn't one in all of canada, still don't have it. Now I find out from my previous bank that they still have not rec'd the payout cheque and of course they tried to take a regular payment June 2, as I Know this does not normally take 12 days to process, it is now June 8 and they still have not rec'd it. Well they told me it went out June 2, only to find out today June 8 that there has somehow been a mistake and they are not sure how it happened but the cheque has never left MRC, so we now have daily intrest on top of that. Oh I still don't have my Tono Cover either! I Removed everything off my truck that says or has MRC on it as we will not advertise for such losers! NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN. JUST A NIGHTMARE! DO NOT EVER DEAL WITH MRC!

I wish i could do something but unfortunately i can not do a whole lot as a family member just started to work there on the day i purchased a vehicle there and they threatened to fire him if i made to much "noise".In conclusion to my previous comment i ended up getting a 2009 Pontiac Vibe an EX Rental for about the same which is a Toyota Matrix with the Pontiac badge a better car than the Caliber. Now my payments work out to be $232 Biweekly for 84 months. Now it still haunts me whenever i hear that Steve on those annoying Maple Ridge Chrysler commercials which i know is pure Bull S#*T.All the same scams to get the next sucker in the door.Like i say its one of life's very expensive lessons.Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Chrysler jeep commander hvac does not work properly - and local dealer will not repair

The HVAC system does not work properly. HVAC blows 90 to 110 degree hot air out floor vents when set midway in the cool setting. While blowing hot air out floor vents on cool setting, Defroster blows cold air out top vents. Front windshield freezes and snow and ice does not melt and very hard to defrost. A $35, 000 Commander was not designed to blow hot air while on the cool setting. Vehicle should mix hot and cold air appropriately to allow for all levels of temperature control. This vehicle only blows 2 air choices, hot or cold, with a distribution of 75% hot air, 25% cold air relative to control knobs. There is no warm or cool air.

Suburban Chrysler Jeep of Novi, MI will not repair HVAC any further stating - this is how the HVAC system works. Service department has replaced HVAC Head Control - the knobs - twice, but will not attempt to repair the internal mechanisms. Apparently, service mechanics in shop believe there is a problem - they would not have replaced Head Control twice. Engineers do not design HVAC systems to blow hot air while on cool setting - it is very likely the vehicle was assembled incorrectly or was assembled with incorrect or defective parts.

Also, Service Department has damaged the dashboard and console component panels and have yet to repair them correctly although I was told by service department that they will repair them, but that means I have to take the car back another time for their mistakes.

Chrysler issued Technical Service Bulletin [protected] on April 14, 2007 relevant to the HVAC situation my Commander has, but since my vehicles build date is slightly after the TSB build date, the dealer will not even attempt the necessary fix. My vehicle build date is April 2007. The TSB indicates that Heater AC Housings Left Hand Drive and Right Hand Drive are to be replaced to allow distribution of air flow. Dealer told me about this bulletin, yet they won't even consider it as an option.

I was told by a Chrysler Jeep employee that the problem could possibly be that my vehicle received the dual zone diverters although my vehicle has the manual controls.

All I want is my HVAC to be repaired so that it works properly, along with my dashboard and console to be put back together correctly.

I bought a 2006 Buick Rendezvous From this dealer on Nov. 20, 2008. After about 6 hours of negotiation on price and payments. That was ok, all car dealerships are like that. They are trying to make the most money they can from any sucker who goes in there. So, I bought my vehicle and on the way home my service engine light goes on. So I call them the next...

We previously bought a Chrysler car and paid all payments on time through Regency, no problem. When we traded it in, they did not give us the opportunity to set up payment date and they set it 2 weeks before payday. We told them immediately and they said after 6 months it could be changed only. Now every month they call, every day, all day, from 7:30 in the...

Chrysler bad service

One week after I purchased a used vehicle from Mission Chrysler Jeep I was contacted by the salesman who asked me to return to the dealership. The Finance Manager inputted the wrong VIN number and we had to redo the paperwork. He stated for my trouble Mission would give me $100. Have never seen it! When I questioned the Finance Mgr he stated he didn't know anything about it!
Also, within the first 5 months I had returned the car for repair 3 times and have been taking it to a mechanic ever since!
I will never purchase a vehicle from Mission because of their subpar service and terrible quality of used cars.

Chrysler awful company and misleading website

Chrysler LLC advertised on their web site that the 2008 LX Town and Country minivan's standard equipment included power mirrors. My wife and I purchased this auto knowing that we needed those power mirrors, for I am incapacitated, and it is extremely difficult to get out of the car to adjust the mirrors manually after my wife has driven the car. My wife and I both drive this auto on a daily basis. My wife and I would never have purchased this LX minivan if we had known that there would not be power mirrors installed when we bought it.

I contacted Chrysler LLC, and told them of our problem, and subsequently they told me that the dealer would have to contact them. I did that, and the dealer indicated that if Chrysler LLC did nothing, they would make it right by installing those power mirrors. As it turned out, the selling dealer provided lip service and did nothing to remedy our problem. So, the buck was being passed back and forth between the dealership, and the Chrysler Corporation. Now, as of today, the dealer, although promising to make it right, by installing the power mirrors reneged on that issue, and told me that there is nothing they were going to do in this matter. So, here we are with a new Chrysler LX minivan with no power mirrors, and there is nothing that the dealership, or Chrysler is going to do to make it right for us. The dealership indicated that if I spend about $5, 000 more, I can return the auto that we bought and get a model with power mirrors! Wow, I am retired, and on limited income and my wife works part time, and now that dealership wants to upgrade me to a better model for thousands of dollars more.

Chrysler LLC, or the dealership should make this adjustment and install those power mirrors with no additional cost to us. My wife and I were misled by the Chrysler website, and now they, or the dealership will do nothing on our behalf, in which we are entitled to at this time.

January 16 2006 I puchased a brand new Jeep Wrangler fron Mike Shad. At that time I was sold and paid for a Daimler Chrysler Max Care Service contract in good faith at a cost of $2011.60. To date I have paid principal and interest on this plan. When I needed to use the service I was told the contract was no good. At that time I made several personal visit...

We stopped in this dealership on Aug 22, 2008 to look for a used car & truck. We couldn't see any prices on the vehicles that we were interested in and no salesperson came out to help us. We went into the dealership building and walked across the length of the building twice. The receptionist was on the phone, no one even acknowledged us. Needless to say...

Since July, 2008, Rinehart Chrysler Dodge has not been able to fix my 2004 Crossfire that THEY sold me. The latest word from them is that a representative from Daimler Chrysler is flying in to see what can be done. They refused a loaner car without charge. This is unacceptable as I am disable and had a kidney transplant on February 18, 2008. I can not be...
