Cinemark employee

Austin is very rude to me and others time after time. I'm a regular at this theater usually early mornings. He refuses to help me because he's "on break" but he's still hanging out in Concession. Also happens to me purchasing tickets, he can be sitting in front of a register and refuses to help me. Points me to another direction, no matter how long of a line.

Cinemark cinemark connections benefits

Cinemark eliminated the no online fees benefit on Cinemark Connections in order to force all of its customers to sign up for the Cinemark Movie Club membership with a monthly fee. Cinemark did this with no warning and retroactively removed the no online fee benefit in order to force moviegoers to get the Cinemark Movie Club membership for $8.99/month.

Cinemark free popcorn refill in same day / rude manager

I saw the movie Greatest Showman on Tuesday 1/9/18 at an earlier show with a friend had combo #2 - 2 large drinks and a large popcorn .. did not use the refill because I was bringing back my 3 kids and a friend to see the 6:40 show. And Because I didn't have the receipt or my movie ticket from the earlier show the manager would not let me get the free refill even tho I was already buying more drinks again and when I asked for a Manager higher than her she said she was the manager and that was the highest there that that was all I get is her . I asked her phone number where I could be complain and she said I could do it online and I said OK don't worry I will she said if you can continue to be rude you can leave I wasn't staying anyway only the kids and my friend Work but I don't see that as being rude as to asking where to complain and still buying yet another large popcorn two more large drinks paying for four tickets again for four more people to see the movie she was the one being rude by telling me I could leave because I was asking where to complain about her ! her name was Miss Melhman at Cinemark in market Heights Harker Heights Texas

Ok, that's effin ridiculous. If your tub still had the tab on it, then they should have honored that refill. I would definitely email the corporate office about this. Also, the number you were looking for is 1-800-CINEMARk. I hope they take care of that for you. I was an assistant manager in Utah for quite a few years and I'm appalled that you were treated like that.

Cinemark tinseltown

I call the theater to make sure they are open before I make my 25 min drive down there. They tell me that they are open, didn't say anything about closing. I get there and they are closed! Why didn't they tell me they were closing on the phone when I called? I wasted gas and was basically lied to about their open status. If they were closing they should have told me instead of letting me drive out there for no reason!

Cinemark gift cards now charge a service fee!!

My wife and I are avid movie goers. On average over the course of a year, my guess is we go about 3 times a month.

You might well imagine we've become savvy movie consumers over the many years :-) For example, in Cinemark's case, we generally purchase some $500 worth of gift cards throughout the year and load them onto our account so that we can avoid the service fees associated with purchasing tickets online.

Let's be very clear here: we purchase Cinemark gift cards to avoid service fees ...this has been part of the "contract" associated with Cinemark gift cards for many years. This is the only reason we purchase gift cards.

With Cinemark's recent changes to the gift card program (due to the associated arrival of their new Movie Club program) there is no further benefit of the Gift Cards to us.

As a result, I believe Cinemark is in breach of contract with the gift card program ...at least with gift cards purchased up through Nov 30, 2017.

I therefore believe Cinemark should refund any existing account balances (in my case currently $120) and the "service fees" associated with purchases using these gift cards since Dec 1, 2017 -- $9.00 so far -- back to customers (ideally, this is done using the "default payment method" credit cards already on file).

We simply have no further need of the Gift Card program.

Please note that we do recognize Cinemark's right to change the Gift Card and Movie Club programs at any time ...we love competition, improved changes, and really want Cinemark to thrive! We love movies! However, I believe it is also Cinemark's obligation to honor prior commitments. As my current funds no longer "do" what we bought them to do, they should reimburse the remainder.

One other point (and I believe this would go a long way to appeasing currently angry gift card holders), yesterday we visited our local Cinemark to watch the new Jumanji movie, and to purchase our next tickets "in theater" to avoid the service fees. To our chagrin, we learned that we could NOT purchase tickets AT MY LOCAL CINEMARK FOR ANOTHER CINEMARK NEARBY.

Clearly, we don't always attend at the exact same theater. Sometimes we go out with friends, sometimes we just pick a theater based on showtimes. Sometimes we attend a theater near to where we happen to be at any given time. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, if you're going to take away the "gift card service fees" program, at very least let me buy tickets "IN THEATER" for any location in the local vicinity.

The way things stand right now is Cinemark has forced me to always pay $1.50 extra every time I buy a ticket since:
- they've removed the discount program
- I buy tickets for any of about 3-5 different Cinemarks in my area
- they only allow purchasing "no fees" tickets in the specific theater of the showing

That's a 21% price hike for me!

Bottom-line, I am now therefore strongly motivated to purchase more of my tickets from other theaters in my area than from Cinemark :-(
...and no, their Movie Club program is not motivating or sufficiently competitive.

Before last November, I purchased a Cinemark Gift Card in compliance with their sales pitch that it waives the online fees.

Today, I got charged a "minimal" $1.50 convenience fee when using my e-gift card online for a $1.75 matinee. Minimal, nearly 100% ticket upcharge.

Then I ask for a Cherry Coke, because hey they carry Coke products right? Nope, "We don't carry Cherry Coke."

Next I ask for Mr. Pibb. "Mr. Pibb is broken."

So I ask the employee to tell me what *is* available, I selected root beer from the remainder.

Having abruptly figured out there is no longer value in using a Cinemark gift card, I decide I'll use the remaining gift card balance toward my concession costs until it's gone. Then flip Cinemark the bird, and discontinue what little business of theirs that hasn't already been won by MegaPlex.

The Cinemark employees could not figure out how to make the register accept the Cinemark app gift card QR code. 5 or 7 tries later, I'm late for the movie, and they ask me to punch in the number manually on the credit card reader. They say "Sorry, usually the gift cards are swipe cards."

It's the Cinemark APP!

Wonderful experience, thanks Cinemark.

Agree 100%. I have $200 on my gift card, and the only reason I bought the card was to not pay the online processing fee as advertised at the time of purchase. This is outride fraud and breach of contract on behalf of Cinemark. They never even sent out an advanced notice of change.

I'm just going to purchase my seats online with a credit card from now on and stick "whomever" with the transaction fees to offset this absurd "convenience" ripoff.

Cinemark bad screen

I watched hello movie at cinemark Jordan Landing And xd screen number 17 on Dec 21st 2017...the screen had patches and scratches on the screen and whole movie experience was distracting and not up to the mark or doing justice to the amount we paid for the ticket. Please make sure you don't run shows on such screens and I would like to get a refund for my purchase.

Thanks

Yikes! They just had a remodel last year. I'm not sure how that damaged screen got by them. I hope you alerted someone to this fact so they can start putting in the requests for a new screen for that auditorium.

Cinemark gift cards

I an organizer of a large group and bring you a great deal of business weekly. All of my group members have gift cards which when we bought those, it stated we would not be charged a convience fee to use online Now, well you have this membership program that not a one of us is interested in. No way would I pay that cost and not be able to book it online. You need to honor your earlier agreement and contract regarding the gift cards and no conference fee. My number is [protected]. Please return my call and get this corrected. Thank you, Laura Kenna

Cinemark alex louco

As a current employee of Cinemark in Ada I would like to say that Alexander Louco does not listen nor care about how his employees feel. Since his arrival we have lost almost all of our senior staff due to him. I'm only part time but always turn in calendars with the days I'm available and have never had a scheduling problem with the previous GMs. He is not willing to work with peoples schedules and if they conflict with what he wants then he stops scheduling you. I've also witnessed where he has tried to force a new manager to come in and do their online training while they are not on the clock so he doesn't have to pay for the training. He has the managers fill most of the shifts and most of the time there are either only one or none at all staff scheduled. It has gotten so bad that usually you only get one shift a week if you are lucky because he's giving all the staff shifts to the managers. He does not listen when you raise a concern to him. He turns it around on you and dismisses your worries.

Cinemark alexander louco

The general manager at the Cinemark in Ada is not very good to his employees. I witnessed him make an underage employee stand in the alley way to wait for her ride, because she was still in her work uniform. This is a danger to that girl l, anything could have happened to her. He has a responsibility for those employees and he should not put them in harms way.

Actually, this isn't the best place to send a complaint. You can complain to 1-800-CINEMAR, but I would suggest you learn to form a coherent thought before you talk to them, because I can't even figure out what the problem actually is from you what you put here.

Cinemark "it" tickets

Our parents bought us tickets for the movie "It" and gave them too us, we were supposed to be 17, so they pulled us out an hour into the movie, so we had to call our mom for a refund and that took her 30 minutes to come and another 30 minutes waiting in line. They said we had to refund on Fandango, but we could only get a refund before the movie ended, which means they waited an hour to pulls us out so we have a lower chance of receiving a refund. They could have pulled us out the first 10 minutes so we could exchange or get a refund but they didn't.

Yeah, after you "got away with it" I probably would have just let you finish the movie. However, this is a good learning experience for you to 1. don't try to trick the theater into letting you into a rated R movie by letting mommy and daddy buy the tickets and 2. DON'T BUY TICKETS ON EFF'N FANDANGO
Their return policy sucks, and if you go to Cinemark.com and purchase there, the theater could have helped you a lot better.

Cinemark girls trip

Why doesn't Layton and Farmington Utah Cinemarks play the movie Girls Trip? Because they have played other similar shows such as Rough Night and Brides Maids. Is it because the girls are black? I was super excited to see this movie but if it is because of the race of the girls then you can be assured that I nor anyone else will be visiting your theaters and it will be brought to social medias attention. Your theaters should be ashamed for not showing this movie.

Yes. It's because the girls are black. Those theaters have never shown a movie that might have a person of color in it. Ever. That MUST be the reason that movie wasn't shown at those particular theaters at that time. It's not because auditoriums may be limited or that someone who knows what they're doing did some research and found that maybe that particular movie would make better sales in some of our other hundreds of theaters all over the nation. It's because the girls are black. Or maybe because we don't like you and it was personal.

Cinemark manager being offensive

My name is josh Navarro and I want to make a complaint about the way Mr Mark Brusniak the manager of the location at 15436 farm market 1825 Pflugerville tax 78660. I got a not trespassing order just for being translating for my friend I don't understand why they only kick us out when they ware plenty of other people using there phones pleas I'm seeking for justice and to be fair with all your costumers specially with your neighbors I hope some one from this company attend this messages and correct this unfair situations. Cinemark starbucks coffee

Every cup ofstarbucks coffee purchased at the riverpark century theatre is a waste of money.
Again tonight, 2 caramel macchiato starbucks drinks made by poorly trained barristas, really $9hr theatre concession employees, served up as usual luke warm cups of caramel tasting water. I defy coffee was even used.
If you are going to sell starbucks coffee, train your staff with starbucks quality.
Starbucks please... Remove your name from cinemark. Embarrassing misrepresentation of your brand.
Please send me my $8 back for hot water too

Cinemark reserved seating and poor customer service

I bought 6 tickets for the Friday night showing of Girls Trip on Fandango. We we tried to enter, the ticket taker, claimed that the tickets had already been printed. I asked to speak to a manager and he finally came, the movie had already started while we were going thru this. I suggested that we moved to the side so as to not hold up the line, as we started to move forward, the little girl ticket takker, held her arm out and said we could not pass, first let me tell you that we are all grown women, and did not have time to play sneaking in the theatre games! At any rate, after showing the manager my receipt of payment, he was only able to print the receipt which showed our seats. Finally after 20 minutes, we were allowed to go into the theatre, the movie was 20 minutes in, and guess what? There was people in our reserved, paid in full seats! So we went got the usher, who had to go verify ticket stubs, you should have seen the "teenagers running out" the usher was the only person who was apologetic and helpful. And he told us this normally happens on Friday nights. At this time the movie was well into 40 minutes, and at that point we no longer wanted to see the movie, the usher went got the manager. The Unprofessional, Could Not Care Less, Rude, and less than helpful Manager! When he approached after about 10 minute wait, we told him that we wanted to see another movie because our experienced was ruined and I asked him about our complimentary tickets, he did not respond and kept walking. He gave us our money back for the tickets, but he never said a word to us and the cashier was rude, she snapped at me to hurry and sign for the refund. And we wanted our money back for the food, they told us that we had to return the food in order to get our money back, which consist of popcorn, drinks and hot dogs. I told the young man at the register that food is not supposed to go back across the counter the health department calls this cross contamination! They took the food and we got our money back. I would like to add that another customer brought popcorn back and the cashier took the popcorn and threw it back into the machine with the rest of the cooked popcorn! This was an absolute horrible night, we ended up having to go all the way to another theatre on 45 to see the movie. The experience was awful, the management and staff, with the exception of the usher was out of line. I would like my 6 Complimentary Tickets, which I purchased on my American Express card. This reserved seating was a horrible experience!

Cinemark held hostage with 40 minutes of previews after movie was supposed to start.

We went to the Altoona, Iowa CineMark Theater to see "Baby Driver" Saturday July 29th at the 10:20 PM showing. We were there 20 minutes before it was to start and got our reserved seats just fine. The trouble was it was late enough to go to the 10:20 PM Showing but the actual movie did not start until 10:59 PM! That's and extra 39 minutes that they held us hostage forcing us to watch every preview available to them before they started the movie we came to watch. Unfortunately I dosed off a couple times toward the end and did not see all the movie. The ride home was also gruesome as I was over tired .
We did not need to waste the extra 40 minutes watching crap previews . 1st and probably the last time I go there...

Sorry, but anywhere you go you're going to have at least 15 minutes of movie previews. This isn't a theater decision, this is required by the movie studios who also dictate WHAT previews are shown in front of what movie. So please cut the theater a little slack.

Cinemark horrible experience!!!

Last night, 7/18/17, we went to the movies and were completely disappointed to get there and have no seats available. Asked one of your reps for help with seating only to be told that there was nothing she could do. It seemed you guys over sold seats that weren't available or people were sneaking in and leaving paying customers like us out. We spoke to another of your employees who at least apologized and said he could have us upgraded to another movie theater and walked us over to the desk to get the tickets to be told by another employee that they couldn't do that and a refund was the only option and with an attitude at that. There were also other people complaining of the same thing and your employee said "It is not our fault that Fandango sold you seats that are not available since they don't update their website properly". First of, worst excuse ever because Fandango is your vendor and it is your responsibility to ensure that appropriate number of seats are available and second, I bought my tickets directly from your site! I was really upset at this point because we had already taken the time to get ready and have a movie night out and bought our food a and beverages to be treated like it was our fault seats weren't available. We kept getting an attitude from your employee who seemed to be disturbed that we were upset with not even an apology or any sort of condolences. What was supposed to be a nice movie night out turned out to be a nightmare. One of the people with me had never been there before and was disappointed that their first time there turned out to be such a disaster. I am not going to tell your company my desirable resolution because as a large corporation you should well prepared for situations like this and be ready available to provide solutions for your customers. I did get a refund however; my time, the experience and a first time visit there turning out to be a nightmare just cannot be rectified by giving me my own money back. I would like to be contacted by your company by someone who has exceptional customer service skills to provide me with a resolution that I think can be fair and change my outlook on your establishment.

Fandango is NOT a Cinemark vendor, it's a third party ticket seller. They are not up to date and seats are many times double sold due to this horrible company. Cinemark.com is the best place to purchase your tickets, and since you were able to get a refund you must have gone to the right place, so kudos to you. I would have upgraded you to another movie in possibly a better auditorium, but it looks like you may have been the victim of someone new who didn't know how far they could go for customer satisfaction. I would contact 1-800-cinemar and tell them your concerns. It will be redirected to the general manager who will have to make things right. Then, maybe give them one more chance before changing theater. Whatever you do, never NEVER nevernever buy from Fandango. They don't always have the right schedule, they double sell seats, and they hate refunding tickets even though the theater can't.

Cinemark I'm complaining. about a theater 22 in lancaster ca

Im upset and ferrous how the theater conditions. And service they have and how poor service i had when dealing with management and cashiers, felt some discrimination for what i witnessed. Its 105 outside and i went to see with my wife the apes movie. I walk in to theater room 1 and there was no A/C working it was hummid hot. I went to see if i could get a diffrent time or date or watch it in a different room or upgread. When i went to see if that was possible. Management said yes, but it seems that the cashiers have more power than the manager Mr. Lemens. He approved it to up gread but the cashier didnt. 3-5min pass and i witnessed. A family. From the same thaeter room come out and they got the 3D up gread. Im upset of it. And i will give a bad review. Of this theater. My. Email [protected]@gmail.com

Cinemark concessions

As a frequent movie goer who works the night shift I find it extremely frustrating that consessions seem to stop after about 1050 although movies continue showing and dont end until midnight or sometimes later. Considering the amount of my hard earned money is forked over for popcorn and drinks I should be able to get a refill including butter. However, every single time the butter has been emptied and cleaned and I have to take plain stale popcorn. Unacceptable. Thank you for addressing my annoyance.
