I would not recommend Cleanify Cleaning to the people as this company prefers fraudulent activity instead of honest business. I was their victim once and I don’t understand why this company is still on market! Close them down!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
i dont know either but they just ripped me and my fiancee off for almost 7 hundred dollars and arent payin us we use to work for them till we caught on to the lack of paying = fraud
i totally agree
Unfortunately, I have been their victim once, too. Fraudulent company - they are just out to scam people and rip their credit cards off for bad work and services not delivered at all. The cleaning company they sent out to me are the kind of men you would not leave alone in your apartment for a second. Also, one of them went to "look for parking" and disappeared for two hours. They deducted a payment from my credit card for a cleaning that was never scheduled, because "I did not cancel 48 hours" in advance. Please be warned. DO NOT USE THEM!
Be warned - they will indicate that there is no contract and no obligation, but will continue to bill your credit card. They will outright lie if you tell them you are not interested in any ongoing arrangement and will then refuse to refund you for not adhering to their cancellation policy...despite their having assured you that it was a single transaction so therefore there should have been nothing to cancel? I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
Wow I clearly didnt do my research with this. I too just got scammed from these people. I hired them for a move out deep clean and they didnt even complete the basic cleaning - wiping baseboards, cleaning the sink, vacuuming, etc. The list goes on. I have also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, as well as several other websites. I paid $195 for this terrible service. When I called, they told me that since I signed the stupid form saying I was satisfied, that they will not refund my money (even in partial) and would not send out the crew to return and complete the job. I signed the form to get these young kids out of my house so I could reclean it! The form also said that if I wasnt satisfied to call and I did. That didnt help at all! I also had a crew of two men that I didnt feel comfortable leaving in my home. Clearly they werent trained or informed about what deep cleaning entails. THIS COMPANY IS A COMPLETE SCAM!
Cleanify is a SCAM!
Complete scam! Was upsold on a deep clean ($250 flat) after initially ordering the regular clean which is 2 people for 3 hours ($150). What a joke. They sent one person for 3 hours even though I agreed to 2 people for several hours. They paid the subcontractor $19/hr for three hours and pocketed $200. The subcontractor was not aware of the "Deep Clean" requirements. Cleanify refused to rectify the situation or offer any refund. I guess they make their money from one off cleaning scams. I was scammed AND the subcontractor was scammed. I would suggest that subcontractors take the ridiculous annual fee they charge and buy a website and work as an independent.
Run and never look back. You will lose money.
Thank you for everyone that posted here, a friend and myself are cleaners, we were to start in the morning... I decided to read some reviews, wow is all I can say, I feel bad for the person expecting us tomorrow morning, but we have families of our own to look out for & honestly, don't feel like donating my time to a fraudulent company!
I had a very positive experience with Cleanify. Read what you agree to. It's a good company!
Hi, I agree 100% with closing this company down! WORST SERVICE WE HAVE EVER HAD! Fraudulent company!
The first cleaning crew arrived with 1 product to clean the entire house! No paper towels, no Windex, no vacuum, no mop, no broom, nothing! it was terrible. They didn't know what they were doing and were about to put water on my hardwood floors before I stopped them! We complained and requested our money back but they said they would send in another crew until we were satisfied. The next man arrived and walked around in his bare-feet. He also had 1 cleaning product and nothing else. His body odor was disgusting and he barely spoke English. He took 3 hours to clean a small powder room {not sure what he was doing in there} and didn't understand the importance of disinfecting a bathroom floor especially around the toilet! We complained again and demanded a refund. The customer service rep who is apparently also a manager {Traci} assured us they would send another crew in until we were satisfied. We were fed-up and didn't want untrained people in our home. Traci guaranteed us we would NOT have to pay any additional charges and this was their customer guarantee. Another crew arrived and magically our credit card was billed {without our authorization} for an additional $158. What? We called Traci for an explanation who said she would speak to her manager and call us back. No one called back. After arguing for 25 minutes they would not refund our visa or weren't interested in anything we had to say. BE WARNED THIS IS A SCAM AND THE WORST SERVICE THAT WE HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! Cleaners who are looking for work and want to apply to this company DON'T WASTE YOUR VALUABLE TIME! My husband and I are professional and reasonable people, the staff at Cleanify are the complete opposite! SAVE YOUR MONEY! I too have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
It seems as though there are few competitors in the comments here :) Something does not quite add up.
These guys do really high volume of bookings across North America - we are partnered with them and know their team well. The issues presented above are all very strange and give quite a skewed image (to be polite).
The question is, in the end, would you rather trust a group of college grads that completely understand the industry at scale with scores of data and backed with years of experience OR a craigslist posting from yourclean612@hotmail.com?
Keep in mind these guys offer their cleaning at rates often equal to or less than craigslist.
The cleaning industry is feisty and near "law-less" currently. What Cleanify (and their team) is doing is amazing. They are ultimately bringing far more security, support and true responsibility to the industry. The worst are getting called out and so are the best.
I've known of a several making upwards of 10K/month with them in various cities.
Technically, if you read their terms, if a cleaner (like some above) are not getting paid it would be because:
1) Ditching client appointments- No shows (you aren't paid if you don't show)
2) Not making an issue right - refusing to return to clean up an inadequate job (resulting in customer refunds/discounts/dissatisfaction)
3) Or worse- Issues with payment/damages/etc...Not common, but there's always a loose bolt
What is ironic is those calling these guys a "scam" are actually the ones being caught red-handed "scamming" the public/clients and/or businesses alike.
Ultimately, the complaints about their service are fairly light considering the true issues that go on every day in the industry itself. I mean there is a complaint about signing off on a job then recanting later to obtain a free service, a complaint about quality and one about them taking a commission for a job completed...
Those that have found yourself here seem to have had some minor issues with the quality of service but does that make these guys a scam?
I hope that any consumer that finds themselves here can understand that you are looking at opinions from a subsection of society that tends to most likely be half competitors and the other 2 or 3 are quite a small %, given Cleanify doing thousands of bookings every month.
All the best from a close supporter of Cleanify and their radical team!
Worst Service EVER! I paid hundreds, no one called me to make arrangements and then charged me a lockout fee for not being able to get into the building. They even admitted that they do nothing with complaints. . they don't address them, investigate them, resolve them.. they repeat the contract back to you and claim no liability for anything and let you know you will not receive ANY REFUNDS not partial or otherwise. The maid ended up showing up anyway because the office didn't talk to her.. and she expected to be working.. VERY DISORGANIZED AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE..DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CLEANIFY!
Used Cleanify for a furnished move out clean for August 15th, had to be that day as I helped move my son out and had renters moving in the next day.
The girl called the day before to set up a time but was double booked and tried to have the service pushed for the next day. I said it had to be the 15th. She then made a few calls back and forth between the other booking and myself and was able to have the other booking pushed forward. The appointment was set for 1pm.
On the day, I found myself a little behind and called the girl to see how she was doing with her morning appointment. She said she would be an hour late and I said that was fine, I too was late. She called me at 2pm to tell me she had no vehicle and had to take transit from Langley to Vancouver (50 Miles). I also found out she was the only one coming, I was expecting 2 cleaners.
She arrived at 4:30pm with a suitcase full of rags and 1 cleaner, I supplied the remaining cleaning equipment. I myself ended up cleaning for 3 hours with her as I did not want to stay and wait for her to finish. I cleaned 95% of the kitchen while she cleaned the rest of the condo .My credit card was charged in advance before the cleaning for 230.00. (A bit pricey for 3 hours and 1 girl who is not a professional cleaner).
I called the following week 3 times to see if I could get a partial refund and explain how unsatisfied I was with the way the days events turned out, but no response. Not a well organized company. Not worth it. Do they get repeat business? Can't imagine they do. Should of done some research into this company but had been too busy prior. Will know better next time.
WORST SERVICE EVER!
My 97 year old grandma could do a better job in half the time. 100% satisfaction guaranteed ( what a bunch of bull). Rectify issues within 48 hours ( what a bunch of bull) They will rip you off. What company takes payment before a service is completed ? Do not hire this company unless you want to pay $350 dollars for 3 hours and have your place look worse then it was before they got there.
They will blow you off if you try to contact them. Don't bother.
Booked a cleaning with them for the following day from when I called and they agreed, charged me $154 to my credit card and called back 20 minutes later saying that the following day would no longer work and that they would clean the following week. The only reason I booked was because I had plans to have company over the following day and needed a cleaning done tomorrow. I didn't need it cleaned next week, I needed it cleaned when I booked it. They kept reminding me all sales are final, which I agreed to, but on the date that they promised to be there; not next week. This company is a scam and I would recommend staying as far away as possible!
It is Canadian company and you should report it to Canadian Anti Spam Centre at http://fightspam.gc.ca/eic/site/030.nsf/eng/h_00017.html
Cleanify call their people professional cleaners, what a joke. I got burned. I paid for 2 people 3 hours. They showed up with a spray and wet jet spryer for a mop, and a vacuum. They spent 3 hours apparently cleaning 2 of 3 levels in split house. They quit after after some time (saying times up). The office said they would call me if more time is required which never happened. I went to the house and the top of the fridge is not clean, the vent on the bottom is not clean, cupboards apparently wiped down (but yet 2 bread ties still sat in one of them so how is it they were not wiped off?). Floors not really clean there is still dirt on them, etc.. now they want another 3 hours to go and rectify. I sent in all the photos to them to review before they said another 3 hours.
I run a small cleaning company myself and was recently contacted by a old employee asking me if I knew of this company and would recommend her to go work for them, I quickly did some research between here, google, bing and the BBB . Its amazing this company is still running! I am sure for some they may have even gotten a great cleaning experience depending on the staff they sent in . As they really hire anyone who posts they clean on their website where is the training, even my staff require extensive training, products and product knowledge is so important, I use 5 different products all green which there is no mention of which on their website . I would steer clear of this company and report, report, report bad business . As a Obsessive Cleaner I don't recommend this company to any potential cleaner or home owner looking to have their house cleaned.
I have a cleaning company and I have been contacted by them several times to join and I declined. However they continue to persist. I thought that maybe I was missing something so I checked out their website. I checked to see if anyone in my area had joined and I more than surprised to see that my company was listed and it showed days that we were available as well. This is a total scam. This business is a complete scam. They make it nearly impossible to cancel and never gave me a refund after the cleaners didn't show up. Their sales team still calls me trying to take more of my money. It is impossible to delete your account. I had to cancel my credit card to get them to stop.
Totally agree!
Cleanify is a SCAM!
They over charge, did not show up, no apology. Did not follow up after complain. Did not follow what they promised, charged me on calculation due to their delay!
They should be close down!
