They SUCK!
Ordered a 17 x 27 structure 4 - 1/2 weeks ago. C to C called last week to say they were going to build it on Tuesday 10-15-2019. C to C called on Monday, 10-14 and said they were delayed and would be here on Friday 10-18. C to C called afternoon of 10-17 and said they were delayed again and would be here today 10-19.
C to C installer called @ 8:21 this morning (10-19) and they were lost (ever thought of GPS?). Told them they were @ 25 miles away and on the wrong side of the river. It's now SIX hours later (and counting) AND NOT A WORD! Tried calling installer's number several times with no answer - goes to voicemail but they don't have voicemail set up. Texted them a map and turn by turn directions but still NO RESPONSE - IDIOTS!
Wasting an entire dam day waiting for these bozos - will be incredibly pissed if they don't show up today! (Tried calling C to C HQ but was told to call back on Monday - [censored]IC!

I purchased my 30x40 building from Coast to Coast. I gave them a deposit plus paid for the engineered plans to submit to the county for a permint. They said when I was ready to contact them and I would have a buildling in 3 to 5 days. I contacted them with the date my concrete was getting poured, they said let us know when its acutally poured. I let them...

I ordered a carport in august of 2018, paid my down payment, was told that it could be delivered on a Saturday so that I wouldn't have to miss time off of work waiting on delivery, which was a lie. The customer service woman called to set up delivery was rude, and curt, and very argumentative, finally arranged delivery for a Wednesday so my husband arranged time off of work, they called late Tuesday and cancelled, rescheduled for Friday, so I took off of work for delivery, they simply didn't show up, no call, nothing, and certainly no apology.. They are refusing to give me back my deposit, which, thank god, was just 10%, and the customer service rep just hung up on me because I used the word damn... stay the hell away from this company, they are simply out to get your money, they absolutely don't care if your satisfied with their product nor if you are happy with their service, check out their internet reviews, they have 1.5 out of 5 google reviews, there IS a reason.. I wish I'd looked first.

I purchased a 30' X 60' steel building in March of 2018 from All Steel NW in March of 2018. It was quoted at 4-6wks. Once I paid the deposit, All Steel refered me to their manufacrurer, Coast to Coast Carports. First problem was that I couldn't get drawings. With the building coming in 4-6wks, I needed to get my concrete pad started. Courtney, the sales girl at All Steel NW informed me that a foundation wasn't required, that these buildings could be put up on a dirt floor. I poured a concrete slabs, went to the county and was informed that it did need a foundation in this county. Requested drwgs again, multiple conversations with Courtney and Jennie at All Steel and way too many conversations with Yolanda. Yolanda finally sent drawings and surprise, the building does need a foundation.
I should have known, shouldn't have relied on a sales girl's advice and should have talked to the county before I poured the slab but, someone should have sent me a copy of my drawings long before 3+ weeks had passed.
I dealt with the problems with the county and then couldn't get scheduled for construction. Spoke with 4 different girls. Each time I called, a new one answered the phone and said the last one wasn't there anymore. First, they were out of 12ga material and once they got it then I'd be put on the schedule. That would take a few weeks. Next, they had the material and she would get me scheduled in a few weeks. Literally one day later, I was scheduled for early the next week, 4 days away.
Through the process of not getting dates and only estimates of "a few weeks" I asked some of these girls if I could speak with a supervisor. Each time they advised me that she was busy and when I insisted (4 times) they transferred me to her phone where I left a voice mail for Jen. Never received a return call.
Spoke with a nice girl today to finalize payment and I told her that I was happy with my garage but not with the service and planned to warn everyone about the lousy service. She (Delores) asked what she could do to make things right and I told her it was too late but a call from Jen mupight help. She said she would make that happen. I didn't expect it but surprise, Jen did call about 4hrs later.
Jen is the supervisor that I left 4 messages for and her explanation of why she didn't return them is that she never received them. Well, either she's not telling the truth or I made up the whole thing or else their messaging system doesn't work. Either way, the customer service is horrible and reading the other reviews on line, seems like maybe they are OK with that. At least they know it's bad and other than firing girls and hiring new ones (4 different girls in less than a month), they don't seem interested in fixing things.
Bottom line, good garage, good installation, good price but the customer Regards, service is the worst. Seems that Jen is ultimately responsible?

A very dangerous situation
After 2 weeks of trying to get them to either secure or remove a 15 by 41 by 15 high carport that had completely come loose off the foundation and was ready to fall on the house or cause damage to the neighbor they kept giving us excuses. It had already fallen on on brand new trailer. We had to drive to Arkansas from Colorado to get anyone to do anything. They have NOTHING in place if the carport is faulty and needs to be looked at. They will keep you thinking that someone is coming out, I guess hoping you will get so frustrated and give up. After get to the company in Arkansas they had someone out there that day to remove it. It was beyond trying to fix it. It had already caused to much damage to property and our trust in this company. They said it probably would be better to refund our money. We will see. Seriously we had to drive from Colorado to Arkansas just to see if this is a legit company, Something is just not right!
Carport wall installed inside out
07-10-2014 C&C installed a carport with one wall inside out. They were to come and change it at a later date in the season due to vegetation. Since January of 2015, I reminded them about this issue. They did not come. Then I found out that they were no longer licensed in New Mexico. My innumerous calls were ignored. They claimed that the alleged manager: Tom Johnson, forgot to renew the license. In meanwhile time passed and nothing was done.
January of 2016, still nothing was done. I called January 05, 2016, to remind them of the issue. excuse over excuse is all I get. Calls are not responded - and all I get are answer machines from the alleged scheduler supervisor Angie, extension 226. I tried to call the person in charge, the alleged manager: Ezekiel Lara or the alleged owner: Jorge Zavala to no avail. I experience the same repeat history as last year. This is an extreme bad company. The Governments are responsible to protect consumers. Why are they still in business - why are their license(s) not pulled?
So many complaints - why no action by the appropriate agencies?

Ordered my carport from D&K Collision in Jefferson City, MO on 09-11-15. Got a set up date in about five weeks and no one showed or called. We ordered a carport Sept. 5th. They said it would be delivered within 60 days. Almost December and still no carport. We asked for a refund of our $90 we put down and they said to get it from the middle man we purchaesd it from, only one problem, they are no longer have in business. I have a receipt from Coast to Coast Carports, so i guess we'll see them in small claims court...I plan on suing for $350 for all of the headaches working with these scammers...a piece of advice...do not buy anything from them, check their record...they are lame!

they ripped us of for over 3000 dollars on a 6000 dollar job. do not ever buy a car port or building or and metal cover from coast to coast or john myers from barnes inc they are thieves that love to steal from seniors..
Construction was O.K., but they presented me with a revised bill after the work was already done. I have not paid the additional amount and do not intend to even thought they have threatened to send it to collections. They had someone else sign the contract in my absence and never told me about the difference!
Incomplete Install
The end of October 2014, Coast to Coast Carports installed a 24x20 metal building for me. They brought the wrong size garage door with them, plus there are other issues with the building too. Was told by them that they'd be back soon to install the "correct" door. Over half a month later now and I still have no door on the building. I have made numerous telephone calls to them, most the time no one returning my calls. Last contact I had they told me they have no idea when they will be back in my area to do any work. In the meantime, I have fully paid for this building and it can not use it. What I do have in there is subject to theft and inclement weather conditions. They will not help me resolve this problem or arrange for anyone to come complete the installation. All I want it a door up like they promised me and were contracted to do!

shoddy materials and poor workmanship
In less than 2 years the roof panels are rusting out where they overlap and the company claims there is no warranty because they say it is subject to rust when water gets between the panels. My question is if that is the case then they should caulk or seal the overlap so that doesn't happen and they should post on their website that the roof is subject to rusting out and there is NO WARRANTY !
Also in double checking the install I noticed the legs were not set on the base rails and I figured that the installers knew what they were doing so I never questioned it until last week while during a conversation with a C to C employee that they should have not been installed that way. After a conversation with Tom @ C To C I was instructed to take some measurements and that is when I discovered the legs don't all measure the same length. I was told there is no warranty simply because I didn't catch this within 30 days of the install. This is B.S. and I feel like this is just their way of getting out of standing behind their product. I would not recommend this company to anyone. My next call is to the state attorney general.

refused to refund deposit
I ordered a Carport from "The Toy Store" in Lincoln Montana where I live. THe owner (Chad) is an agent for Coast to Coast carports. Paid him 202.50 down (10 percent), and he said Coast to Coast likes to have 3 deliveries in the state to make it worthwhile for them to come. He said mine was number 4, so I could have it in 3 weeks most likely. That was Sept of 2012. In Late November, I made contact with Coast to Coast and asked what the hold up was. I was told they wouldn't be coming back to Montana till the spring. I asked what the "spring" date was, and was told She didn't know. The girl sounded enept. In March of this year, I went back into The Toy store and asked Chad if he had any updates on my carport. He first said no, but then said a delivery had been on the way, but it was in a wreck on an icy road and was totaled. I made contact with coast t coast again and was told they would be coming back in April. Nope, no show. On April 29, I received a letter from the company I work for stating the mine would be shutting down June 28 and all employees would be laid off permanently. I requested a cancellation of my order and a refund from coast to coast carports.. I was told that the 10 percent that I paid the dealer was his commission and it was up to him to give me a refund. He refused after I explained the situation, telling me " I'm not trying to be an ###". Yeah, I think you are. He is selling off all his possessions the last couple of months and moving to Alaska. I just know that I paid 202.50 and have waited 8 months with nothing but lies and finger pointing at each other from The Toy store and coast to coast carports. Toy store guy feels he earned the 202.50 for writing down the order and faxing it in. Now I find they have a C rating from The Better Business Bureau with over 200 complaints lodged against them. Don't be fooled like me. Don't buy from them. Read into the numerious complaints on many different websites.
Customer Service
I submitted a purchase order for a 12ft x 21ft carport on 15 Sept 2011. The sales representative a friend (1st mistake) said it would take 3-4 weeks and the company would call me when they would be onsite to install the carport. Four weeks went by without a word from the company. I checked back with the representative and he said that he was having a hard time getting a return call from the company. The representative has quite the company and said that he would continue to assist me, and would never sell another product for Coast to Coast.
Fianlly on 5 January Coast to Coast Carport of Montana called me to set up a time to install the carport. We set it up for Weds 11 Jan. No one showed up to the the install on the 11th so I called the company. They told me my materials had not arrived yet, but they absolutely would be here on the 13th. Big surprise ...no one showed up. After 10 phone calls they finally called me back to schedule an appointment for 16 Jan. Needless to say no one showed up again. I have been calling the company for three days now leaving messages and have not had one phone call returned.
DO NOT BUY from Coast to Coast Carport. The worst customer service and they sure don't care about the customer.
My next step to file a complaint with the Oregon State Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau.
took money..no carport!
A sales rep named JON sold us a carport here in Spanaway, WA. We have had 3 differnet appts set up. Took time off work, no show...they will not answer the phones. I called the local sales rep. He does not answer the phone either nor does Jon have a voicemail setup. We pass this business everyday in Spanaway on Hwy 7. NO ONE IS EVER THERE! They have taken our deposit, we want to cancel and NO ONE ON THIS PLANET CAN GET THEM TO ANSWER THE PHONES! I am contacting my attorney and the Better Business Buearu (SP). I am going to report this company and the sales rep in Spanaway...CROOKS!

We had done business with the Agent that sold us the building from Coast to Coast. He runs the local Tuff Shed in Chehalis (John) and we had purchased a building from him. We felt comfortable enough to purchase a building from this other company. It took a few tries before they finally made it out to set up the building. They wanted paid in full before they completed the building (still did not put up the 3 roll-up doors. Never know when they would show back up since dates are given like, they'll be there Monday through Wednesday. They put up the roll up doors and we called for a building inspection. The building failed and we contacted the Agent that sold us the building and texted him the building department's requirements. Two weeks later, we call the company and the Agent never forwarded the information and now we have to wait another week. And the Agent will not return our calls. I finally contacted Washington States Labor and Industries Bureau and filed a complaint. They contacted us immediately and will be following up with the company. Meanwhile, at week 4 we wait for an appointment to finish the job.
I thought credit card company would go after shoddy workmanship & materials? I agree with your frustration. Did you call the sales people? Call everyone, anyone in that company & keep the calls going. Complain to everybody there, document it. Who, When, What...
Better Business Bureau and your State Attorney's office are great tools. Good luck.
I had a 18x21 carport with sides to the ground and a back put up Dec. 5, 2011. They had kept trying to schedule without me being there necessariy, that I could have someone else there instead so they could meet their schedule. I said "no" that I wanted to be there. The crew shows up about 6:30 pm, working by 6:45 pm IN THE DARK with very gusty wind. I questioned them working in that much wind. I was assured there would be no problem. About three hours later, they are done. I gave them my credit card info because I thought I would have more luck that way if something was wrong. When I signed the paper after they were done, I wrote on the bottom that payment was based on my approval of the building in the daylight. They I made an error. I should have written a check as the credit cvard company gave them their money so they have no incentive to come to an agreement on this. There is so much wrong with this building, I want it out of here completely. I would not keep it even if it was free now. There are buckle marks on the sides and possibly the roof (I haven't climbed up there), buckling along the bottom where it hits the foundation, extra screw holes, misalignment on the top side edge, all the rows of screws on the sides are not in a straight line perpendicular to the base, one anchor cracked the foundation, screws and scraps were left around the work area. To fix this proberly would mean taking this down completely and putting up one with all new materials. If that is going to happen (which I doubt), then they can take this one down and off my property. Any suggestions?
ALL's Well That ends well! The crew showed up early this morning & finished in about 4 hours. The crew was extremely professional, efficient, hard working, friendly and did a fine job. They cleaned up afterward, gave me the paperwork, I paid them, and parked my motorhome inside! Exactly what I ordered. I think the office folks at Coast to Coast Carports may have improved their "Customer Contact" relations. It took 3 scheduled appointments to get the job done. That's the only real complaint I had. The company gave me a 5% discount though, which amounted to aprox 200 bucks. That helped ease the anxiety issue. Again, all's well that ends well! I'm a happy camper!
UPDATE! Things got better after my last post. "Yolanda" called me back 3 times to update me on the "crew's" progress. They came in time to unload all the materials and measured, cut & erected the bottom plates, walls & trusses, including one gable end. WOW! this is starting to look pretty damn good. They will return in the morning after daylight to finish the roof and make sure everything is squared up. Hard working crew and Coast to Coast Carports actually did a good job this afternoon with their followup calls. I'm starting to feel much better about this. We will see tomorrow when the job is complete.
Made the down payment a couple months ago. First appt was set up by "Yolanda" at Caost to coast carports. Nobody showed up. Even though I called "YoLanda" and she said she'd call me right back (did NOT happen). No communications, period. The NEXT day was Thanksgiving. I was out of town when a "Jose" called and wanted to my building that day (THANKSGIVING DAY). No way, I was out of town on holiday & the gates were locked. The following week "Yolanda" rescheduled me for a week or so out on a Tuesday, and I would be the first client on the schedule for that day. A few days later "Yolanda" called me back and said she had to change the date again. At least she called me this time. So I was scheduled for 1st a.m. Wednesday. I have waited 5 hours, the daylight will be gone in about 3 1/2 hrs, still no callback, no communication whatsoever. This is the 3rd appt I was given. We shall see how this is handled by CC-Carports THIS time. I am located in the Pacific Northwest. Just north of Seattle, Washington.
No customer service/don't fix mistakes
Coast to Coast based in AK sub-contracts sales people for different areas of the country
to sell their metal buildings--these people do not have any responisiblity other than collecting the deposit. C to C then hires ANOTHER fly by night comp to 'build' the metal structure. They barely built it any better than I could---tons of problems and then C to C cant be reached nor the flybys that made it. They never returned. And worst of all they get away with it. Building Inspector would do nothing to remove them from our town or report them either.
Completely unresponsive
We ordered a custom 18' X 40' garage through Barns.com who turned out to be an Agent for Coast to Coast Carports. We had to make some revisions to the original plan, including raising the building to 14' and installing 10' X 14'roll-up doors. All this was handled with GREAT service through Barns.com. The installers, who were Hispanic, arrived on time but spoke little English. They set about putting up the building on the $7000 slab we had poured for the purpose.
They worked diligently and put up what I think is a great building. When I asked if they would fabricate the doors on site, the foreman said we would have to wait for the doors as they were "special order". I called Coast to Coast to ask why they sent the crew with only a partial building. They said the doors were never ordered by the person who took the original order and that person had quit and did not tell anyone about the doors. They could not give me a date certain on when the doors would be installed. I notified them that if I did not get answers by Sept. 13, I would order the doors and deduct the cost from the invoice, which we (fortunately) did not pay, as the building was not finished per contract.
We have been going round and round with Coast to Coast and Barns.com for over a week now without answers. Even Barns.com claimed that no one would answer their phones in Knoxville.
I finally got a quote for two 10 X 14 roll-up doors from a local vendor in Medford, OR. We are still trying to contact Coast to Coast but without success. I plan to order the doors today and deduct the cost from what we owe them.
In my surmize, the building is of good quality for the price and the engineering is well thought-out. Coast to Coast's business practices, however, are like a Betty Crocker biscuit...LIGHT AND FLAKEY! Judging from all the other complaints against them, I would not get another structure from them. TERRIBLE customer relations!
Will never buy from them again, waiting 4 months for repairs (wrong color trim their fault).
I haven't paid for the structure yet, repairs were scheduled 5 times all no show.
I'm very frustrated with these people my local building department won't final because coast to coast has not sent a letter stating a 70 PSFT snow load. They offered me 50 dollars and said that I could get someone local to change the trim best price was 800 dollars which I think is high but they are the only company in my area that does that type off work. The installers spoke little English they did not have a drill to anchor the structure to the slab I had to lend them one. They did work hard as it was below zero the day they started. When they were finished I said I would pay them when the correct trim was replaced so they left without cleaning up .
Metal scrap hundreds of screws left scattered in the snow one my driveway cardboard plastic lunch wrappers.
Needles to say I was pissed the scrap metal pieces ranged in size from 2"x2" to 2'x20' I, m not exaggerating we had to cut them up to fit into my truck bed so I could take them to the dump. Never buy from this company!
i wish i had done my research before i ordered! Waiting 3 months for a carport! and they have my nonrefundable deposit
Have not received what I've paid for
Well in the month of May I started pricing backyard sheds. I come accross a website, Barns.com. The prices were very competative, so I called in and placed an order with a gentlemen by the name of Dan O'Rourke. I ordered a 12x20x9 with 9x7 Garage door, 1 walk-in door and 2 windows, for a quoted price of $3000.00. Seemed like a good deal, within reason against the prices in my local area. This is where my nightmare began. They sent the order to Coast to Coast Carports in Arkansas. After a month, I've not heard a word from anyone, after taking my 10% deposit. So I started the phone calls.. Called Daniel, he said call Carports, it's in their hands. So I call Carports, they said that the shed was quoted wrong and waiting on a response from Daneil of what to do. So I call Daniel back, he said he was unaware of this.. so I get them together.. Now they want another $1000, but Daniel said, , wait. I'll take care of this..they can build it for the price I quoted you. So I wait another 3 weeks.. by now we are in the 1st week of July--with no shed. So I start calling everyday to both places, about every 4th call, the price changes.. So I start asking for a refund, , they (Daniels manager Tracy) said they don't give refunds.. So I start calling Tracy everyday.. Oh, , carports can't do it..not enough work in Illinois. So they send the order to TNT in NC.. after 2 weeks with these liars...and dealing with Tracy who is a manager, can't keep her lies straight. They said they can't do it.. So now I'm with American Steel, who said it would be another 3-6 weeks..Thats in September...And I still have no shed.. But they keep taking my money, and keep uping the price..
Bottom line..STAY AWAY FROM BARNS. COM, COAST TO COAST CARPORTS, TNT CARPORTS! They are theifs, liars and completly dishonest!
There is more to this story, but you get the just of it..

No Carport
Was scheduled to have a carport delivered on Friday 7-30-10 so I took a vacation day for that day and they called Thursday night to say they would have to reschedule for Saturday. No one showed up Saturday, then one of the crew that was going to deliver and set it up called at 8:30 in the evening and wanted to come on Sunday. Yep you guessed it, they didn't show up Sunday either. Got a call from the crew at 9:00 at night, they wanted to come out Monday, I said that won't work because no one will be home. They called again at 9:30 to say I would have to call there office and reschedule for another time. It is Thursday 8-5-10 now and not only will someone in customer service not pick up the phone or call me back, the customer service manager won't even call me back considering I have left at least two dozen messages for them. I'm not sure when I am going to get my carport considering I cant get a hold of anyone to reschedule. In my opinion they don't have any customer service at all.
At a loss as what to do now.

They put up a steel building at our place. They left the place with a damaged window wholes in the roof and not properly screwed up panels. I try since weeks to get an repair appointment. The girl in charge, Lucy, is quite impolite and does not take any action to resolve the matter. Nobody does call back.
Ordered a carport beginning of August 2015. Paid down payment. Promised delivery per contract 3 to 6 weeks. Today, January 5, 2016. No carport, no reimbursed down payment. No answer after sending tons of emails, phone calls. TERRIBLE! I call this fraud.
To further respond to this complaint, I would need more information from the customer. A name, phone number, or address of town where unit is to be installed.
Ordered a 12X36 carport from Coast To Coast Carports Inc. Was installed on the date scheduled, however installers were @ 6 hours late. Left excess screws on gravel drive. Carport sides did not extend low enough to protect RV. Called the company to arrange for additional sheeting and provided the required deposit. Was told installers would be out on Sunday 30 June 2013. Was assured and reassured it would be on Sunday. Cancelled our plans, but no one showed up to install sides. Calls to Coast To Coast Scheduling were unsatisfactory or not answered. One discussion with "Jeannie" in scheduling resulted in the comment, " I don't know why they didn't show up". Later, another was, " I didn't get a satisfactory answer from the installation crew". Since that time, six messages left have been unanswered. Now, 24 July and still no response from the company, neither scheduling nor installers. The end result from this exercise in futility is that I will not do business with this company again and recommend anyone considering it, research the comments about them well before contracting for a building. Rest assured that if I operated my own business as these folks do, it wouldn't be around for long!
I am so glad that my husband and I decided to read complaints and reviews before buying a carport. My husband wouldn't have been a happy camper! (to say the least) Although shopping for a carport is confusing and very times consuming we decided to go with a company that treated our first contact with the best respect and customer service, Winslows Custom Buildings, they are very maintained, very capable and reliable. Yes there crews speak English and were there to set up the building on time, like they said.. Sorry to those that are getting ripped off Companies that value their customers in the respect of not just another number are very hard to find.
thank you
I ordered my carport December 27, 2010... Here it is March 13, 2011, no carport! I have contacted them several times and their excuse is that they just dont have any orders in my area is why they have not set it up! Answer me this... Why did they take my deposit money if they didnt have any intention on setting it up? So anyways on Friday March 11, 2011 they called and said they would be here Saturday. Saturday they called and said they were running a day behind, and would be here Sunday! It is Sunday and their cell phone has been shut off! What is going on!? I am sooo pissed and they are getting reported to the Better Business Bureau!
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! Ordered metal building in May. After cancelling on me once, they showed up a week later and installed in late July. Seems a door was on special order, would have it in a couple of weeks. Here we are almost to January, 2011, and no door. They talk the talk but don't walk the walk. My attorney is next! By the way, purchased through Barns.com, subcontracted through Coast to Coast. Neither company has helped or fulfilled their words or promises.
Same issue here. I ordered a Carport and it was supposed to be deivered yesterday morning and I took a day of vacation to meet them, no one showed up, no one from Coast to Coast Carports ever called. I took another day of vacation in an effort to speak to someone and I cannot get any answers. The girl Charise? stated that she doesn't know the name of her boss and doesn't know who signs her check. Really? Does she expect people to believe the BS. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS ENTITY?
