Lack of delivery of product and no refund of deposit.
I ordered a shed on [protected], delivery was promised within 5 weeks. Months later and with numerous tries, still no shed. I could not get a delivery date and was repeatedly told they are waiting on materials. I finally gave up and cancelled the order in February 2024. I was told I would not get my deposit back. Yes, the contract said deposits are...
Read full review of Coast To Coast CarportsRain water leaks, customer service
I made a major purchase for a carport and a 3 stall metal garage building through one of Coast to Coast’s vendors in March ‘22. It took several calls to Coast to Coast customer service, management and lied to about why no contracted installers had shown up to get my order filled/installed. I was told everything from supply chain issues to monetary thresholds was the reasons for my unfulfilled order. Finally 6 months later (Sept 27-28th) an installation crew showed up and conducted the installation, I see I’m in a large group of other customers that experienced the same issues. Before installation I contacted coast to coast and spoke to their “engineers “ and had my concrete slab installed to their specifications and even requested a building diagram, which I gave to my cement slab contractor to insure it was done to Coast to Coast exact specifications. Since the install I have, like other customers, have had rain coming into my garage both on side’s and front installed drive in doors. So I contacted several more times, Coast to Coast and sent pictures of the issues and was told several times, we’re looking into the problems. Several months later I found a contact email for “Mary” on the BBB website and contacted her. She basically told me it’s my problem and Coast to Coast would not do anything about it. I had some building inspectors/contractors look at the problems and they found in their professional opinions that the front door leaks were do to the bottom door seals were defective/inferior and not keeping water from coming under the doors. The side leaks were do to the building not properly installed/overhanging to allow for proper run off. I had recommended Coast to Coast to several prospective customers, and even gave tours of my garage and this is how I am being repaid by them. Shame on this company and buyers beware. I tried to be tactful and professional with their company representatives even though I was lied to along the process, be careful if you have any warranty issues. I even gave them cheap solutions to fix/resolve the issue and was told it’s my (the buyer’s) problem.
Desired outcome: I and inspector/contractor recommend that the bottom door seals (3 total) be replaced and sealant be properly installed between the siding and the cement slab to allow the rain to properly run off onto the ground
Garage build errors
Garage finally finished after 1 year wait. Now waiting for errors to be corrected. It has already been 3 mo. My gut said don’t pay all balance up front but I did. My suggestion is to hold some back and wait until you can examine their work especially if they speak little English and finish at midnight. First couple of days the install went perfect then the last 3 went down hill drastically. We actually would never buy or recommend this company to anyone.
Desired outcome: Want someone to come and fix this issue.

Two car garage
Two years since I ordered a two car garage, plus a $2000 deposit, two trips out to the site by building crews, dozens of calls trying to get technical information which usually led to voicemail, lies and deception by office personnel, no one ever actually looks at the building site until the day of installation, contract is geared towards covering up for the incompetence of the company. Installation is included allegedly, but it was clear they had no intention of installing. Finally got frustrated (which is their goal) and said just deliver the parts and I will have somebody else put up. They delivered, no inventory list to check to see if all parts were here, and no instructions. Lo and behold, missing 2 11' double headers and forty reinforced corner brackets. Called and called, finally got through, they said they would ship the corner brackets FedEx after I told them I could weld some of the extra tubing to make the headers. Waited 10 days, called and called, customer service said the manager stated that there were enough corner brackets sent already. I told them that if you go by the drawing, there is not (you literally have to go through each page and detail and count). No instructions to put it up, short on parts, zero call backs when you leave a message, constantly lying, and they didn't even bother to call and say they weren't going to ship the brackets. Worst. Company. Ever.
Desired outcome: Send me my brackets that you owe me, then GTFO of my life forever. Like I was promised.

**do not use this company coast to coast carports, knoxville, arkansas! read reviews, and do your research!
**do not use this company!
this is a very poorly conducted company, that is only here to take money and run away from any and all problems!
**do not use this company!
they do not care if they produce any short comings, or other issues that leave you spending even more money and in complete loss of your property!
**do not use this company!
do not support the growth of this company under this kind of management/ownership!
we did exactly as they said to do, and they will not take responsibility for their short comings! they refused to send someone out that we could communicate with to discuss our concerns/issues.
The actual builder spoke very very little english. We were not there, and i had to call my friend at work to get her to tell him where he was building the shops and how to get there, while they were both on seperate speaker phones to try to communicate. He could not wait the few minutes it took us to get there to inspect the 2 buildings before we signed his paper work, because he still had another shop to start and finish by the end of the day elsewhere. He is rushed and over worked!
the "appointment to take care of the issues" produced a man that came out, who spoke no english at all, what-so-ever. We could not ask him questions, or tell him what was happening. It was "pointing, & hand motions" communications. He took pictures and left, leaving papers for us wadded up by the gate just before it rained. He did not even try to show us there were any papers with him or placed anywhere.
The gm refused to speak with us on every occasion of us calling. He made the girls on the phone deliver his lack of customer care and responsiblity.
The gm tried to blame their short comings on anyone else he thought he could throw under the bus. The gm blamed concrete first, saying "the concrete was done wrong". The concrete was done exactly as we were told it needed to be, by serveral people in this company, several different times. This is not the concrete company's fault.
The gm tried to blame the salesman whom we set everything up through. The only paperwork we ever recieved was in person by the salesman. The company never sent anything in the mail or email. It does not say anywhere on the papers that we have, and we have everything we recieved, that these are not water tigh buildings. Several people in this company were told that we have 2 houses of everything we owned going into these storage buildings, and nobody and nothing ever said or says that these are not water tight buildings. We would have looked elsewhere if it/they did. They leaked like a strainer, ruining electronics, furniture, mattresses, decor, sentimental keepsakes, etc.
The gm said "we are not doing or discounting anything, because the price of steel went up."
how does the extra cost of steel even pertain to fixing your own company's short comings on 2 buildings that have already been bought, paid for & installed? maybe i could see this train of thought if the buildings were bought on some sort of clearance or trade, but we paid full retail price like dummies.
**do not use this company!
they will bury their heads in the sand and point fingers when they are clearly red handed!
just save yourself the headache and a lot of extra money!
**do not use this company!
i do not like leaving bad reviews but i cannot just sit here and let something like this keep happening to someone else that could avoid this nightmare. I wish i could go back in time and never have used this company.
**please do not use this company coast to coast carports in knoxville, arkansas!
Garage
Purchased a garage through Carport Central April 2021 and it appears they contract with coast to coast for installation.. They were notified the slab was ready in September 2021 and both companies were notified we were ready. It is now almost August, 11 months later and no garage. You will never get any communication from coast to coast and if you do it’s just lies and excuses. They are the worst business for this type of building. I would suggest you look at the whole picture from purchase to installation and see who is involved. If it is coast to coast run the other way. I am sure they are installing new builds this year and ignoring those of us that contracted with a lower price last year and they don’t want to take that loss. If they had installed last year this may not have been so much of a problem for them but should not be my problem. BBB complaint next.
Desired outcome: I want my garage finished ASAP
Metal building
This was the worst experience I have ever had with any business. I have waited 14 months for my building. I have been lied to multiple times and had to file a complaint with the BBB. I want to go on record and say that this company handled my case HORRIBLY. Terrible communication and dishonest. I waited over 13 months only for them to completely drop the ball and had to accept less that what I wanted due to their incompetence. Not an apology, nothing. JANN COWELL in permitting was the absolute most disrespectful and dishonest person I have ever worked with. After 6 months she lied to the BBB about the reasoning for delay and took zero responsibility. She is definitely the one to blame completely. The rest of their team is just trying to fix her mistakes.
Desired outcome: NEVER TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN
Horrible company waiting over a year and no end in sight
Horrible company waiting over a year and no end in sight. Ordered my garage in April 2021. Calling them periodically with no end always delays always out of parts. I asked for a refund because they cannot fulfill the order and they showed me the finger basically. Somebody named Darla told me I have to cancel and then it will take three months for them to see if they will approve a full refund because they cannot fulfill my contract. what this means is that they will never refund me if I cancel on my own. Absolutely horrible customer service, they never call you back even when they say they will. Barely respond to any emails. When I asked to speak to somebody who can talk to me about a reasonable refund. The answer was you will never talk to anybody but me at this company. Apparently she’s the highest person I could talk to but she cannot make any decisions
Metal building
On 05/25/22 I had my garage being installed. So I had the concrete slab installed first and was told to make it 3" bigger than the building. I did that so when they showed up to install I wasnt home my wife was. By the time I made it home from work the building was complete. After looking further they didnt center the building to the slab. I had 2 sides flush 2 sides with 3 inches of slab going past the building. This is a problem being now every rain my garage will be flooded. I spoke with them about it and basically was told oh well cant do anything for you. I will not use this company ever again and would not recommend them to anyone. I cant they wouldn't want to correct this. I would be ashamed to leave it like this.
Desired outcome: Either come back out and center it or send me money back to either have the edge of concrete coped and alot of caulking to keep from flooding my garage every time it rains

Metal building I received
Took 11 months to get when the contract said 8 weeks. I get a call they are out of garage doors and that they would refund the price of the door. Gave me 700$ of the 800$ I paid. Then i had to take 3 days off work (kept saying they would be here only to not show up). They showed up tried 3 times to come up with excuses to leave then finally told me the pad was to small. Told me they have a 6 hour drive home and they get paid whether they install or drop it off. If I wanted to send it back it would be a restocking fee and another year before they would be back. There was a broken window they said they would replace that I'm still waiting for and guess what. I installed the shop and have a foot of extra pad.
Desired outcome: An unbroken window so I can finish the building and the $100 for the garage door
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
We ordered a carport in 2021 directly from the company. The salesperson repeated the cc number to me. He told us that it would be 6-8 weeks. Around that time we were wondering what the status was and called the company. They never processed the order. We ordered again, but through Napa Auto Parts in town. It was delivered and set up 2/19/22. Someone ordered the wrong color for the covering. The new covering was apparently approved in the middle of March. It is now May 28th, 2022, still no covering and no one called me back after inquiring the status a couple of weeks ago.
Put $7k down on a garage July 2021 was told it should deliver in 5 months. May 22 no building and no one answers the phone at C to C
In June/July 2021 contacted Kingdom Metal Buildings (AKA American Steel Buildings). Their Montana contact Jeramie DeHart lead me to believe they where the manufacturers. After some back and forth I was told that the factory could have the specific building I ended up with built and maybe erected by years end 2021. (Settled for this model because Mr DeHart said the model I wanted would take a year or more and here I am working on a year for a sub model) When I e-signed the contract document, I noticed it was on a Coast to Coast contract form. I had sent a check for $7092.15 the 15% required down to get the price locked in and the clock started on fabrication. Mr DeHart sent me foundation details and helped locate a couple local contractors to interview for availability in order to get the foundation laid before winter (and the delivery of the building). After December I realized that the building wasn’t going to be delivered as told. When I questioned Mr DeHart he gave me a customer representative name and told me I needed to contact them to find out what he obviously didn’t know. At some point late 2021 Mr DeHart quit answering or blocked my calls and emails. The customer service name and number was a joke as the persons name he gave me no longer worked there. In Feb 2022, I finally got hold of someone calling themselves Amanda from customer service. She gave me her email and direct lines I sent her drawing and window details to ensure that cut the window opening to the correct dimensions. Three months later that email and direct line are no longer working. They have $7k of my hard earned money not to mention I spent a fortune on getting foundation completed in a short period. I’m smelling FRAUD. Need help! I see many other with similar issues. I’m open to a class action if needed my email…[protected]@AOL.COM
Thanks and God Bless
Desired outcome: Building built and installed ASAP
Two 12x24 3 sided horse shelters
We ordered two 12’ x 24’ “loafing” metal sheds, 3 sided horse shelters on Jan 24, through Carports Central. We paid Carport Central a Deposit of $2321.60
We were told that we would receive an installation date within a month - especially since these were simple horse shelters.
When asked in March when these would be delivered l, we were told to contact the installation company which was not the same. The installation company is Coast to Coast Carports. We heard nothing from them, they kept saying they’d call us back.
Next we called and demanded a date of April 15, or delivery of materials by April 15, without installation (remove from final bill). On March 31, the delivery manager sent the “building plans” to the wrong email address and insisted they now needed the permits before they could install. They would not be able to install without all the permits. The original purchase was put on a personal credit card, but the shelters are for a business (ranch) and the contact info should have been updated.
In either case, it was their scramble attempt to come up with plans which weren’t necessary in order to charge us after we demanded an answer. Looks like they want to keep from installing now and we have requested our deposit back
Since then we gave hired a few companies, and have installation of 4 horse shelters, a 12 x 16, shed and a 12 x 24 shed, all without any complications.
We want our deposit back.
Desired outcome: Katrina LOmax who paid on her personal card wants her deposit back $2321.60
On March 29th 2022 the following options were sent to Coast to Coast by the customer:
1)The delivery and buildings are to be installed before April 15th or
2) Deliver the sheds and materials, and do not install the buildings, by April 9th AND remove the installation fees from the total contract.
3) Full refund of the deposit by April 8th.
Emails went to:info@coasttocoastcarports.com and customerservice@getcarports.com on March 29th, with the reference number, the contact details, and request to answer. The specific requests were never addressed.
I don't understand why a company would continue to build and not acknowledge email inquiries, and phone calls? It seems to be a cover up attempt after no work had been done between Jan 24th (the order) and March 29th (the formal demand for action).
The request is to refund the deposit, which Coast to Coast now defers to Carport Central (the Sales). No accountability or responsibility for Coast to Coasts actions? I have read through many of these complaints, and seems to be the same issue. The sales team (Carport Central) takes an order, and the manufacturer/installer doesn't fulfill the orders (breach). You have had our money since Jan 24th, and I want it back because we have nothing in return. Do not attempt to deflect or have excuses, or try to 'build" so that you can charge us, you need to return the money.
At this point it doesn't matter who it comes from, and the finger pointing is unacceptable. Refund the money or we will pursue litigation.
Katrina Lomax
22x35 steel carport
This building was ordered on 5/18/21. We paid a $1,200 deposit at that time. We were told the building would take 6-8 weeks for delivery/installation.
After 8 weeks, I was told it would take 10-12 weeks. After 12 weeks I was told it would take 15-20 weeks. After 20 weeks we tried to cancel but they refused to return out deposit. I filed a complaint with the better business bureau on 2/28/22 (complaint # [protected] (. They have been an intermediary contacting Coast to Coast to get details on why we have not received our product.
We were told they didn't have the color we requested. I suggested they contact me to discuss color options. They called a few weeks later and we changed the color. I was told the scheduling department would be contacting me that week. Two weeks went by with nothing. The BBB sent a notice saying that Coast to Coast said they contacted me and I told them our site was not ready.
They had NEVER contacted me. Our site has been ready for over a year. I contacted them directly. They said they spoke to my husband and he told them the site was not ready. This is a complete lie. My husband did not speak to anyone, and he is the one that poured the concrete over a year ago. At the time they said they called, we were out of town with no cell service. Also, my phone number is the contact and I have been the contact person for a year. They have never spoken to my husband about the project. His number was listed as a secondary contact only. I have tried to cancel but have been told my deposit would not be refunded. This is completely unreasonable to wait a year for a product and be denied a refund of our deposit.
Desired outcome: Cancellation of order with a refund of the deposit.
Installation not completed
I purchased a building from coast to coast carports on April 3 of 2021. At the time of purchase I was to that installation of my building would be 6-8 weeks out. I was told that I only needed architectural drawings if my county required them for a building permit, which they were. I purchased the drawings the first part of May 2021, I was told I would have them in 4 weeks. After being told that they were having issues with that department and the person that does the drawings stopped coming to work and they had to hire someone else, I did not receive my drawings until September 10, 2021. In the middle of that I was told that they use an outside company for their drawings. During that time they kept telling me different things, that the installation timeline wasn’t 6-8 weeks from time of purchase, that it was 12-16 weeks, then 20-25 weeks. Then they told me that they couldn’t even give me a timeline until my drawings were completed, which I found interesting because they originally told me that I didn’t even need drawings unless my county requires them. So they stuck with that timeline, 20-25 weeks from the time my drawings were completed, which was Sep 10, 2021, since then I have been in contact with them many times only to be given excuses. Some of the excuses are: Weather, steel shortage, don’t have the color, you are on the schedule we just don’t know when, the company installing your building can’t come to do just your install, they are waiting for more in your area so it’s worth their time. I am now at 29 weeks from the time they said 20-25 weeks and 51 weeks from the time I purchased the building.
Desired outcome: I need my building installed now
It’s April 2022. Informed them that slab was ready in September 2021. Still no garage. Multiple excuses like Covid, snow in my area, lack of material, and now no response whatsoever ever. Would not recommend this company to anyone. Guess maybe it’s time for an attorney. I can’t see where any good comments are real.
Shop Kit Never Delivered/ Installed - Kept my deposit without any material. Refusing refund. 7 MONTHS
$4,658.40 was paid on 03/17/21. My permit was approved on July 15, 2021. Same day, I told Carport Central to build the kit. 3 months later, I expected delivery and install from Coast to Coast. I have been given the runaround ever since. A different reason every time. I have been calling Coast to Coast weekly for months. It has been 7 months since I called for them to build the kit. Amanda at Coast to Coast herself said there is no material. There was no intention of completing the service.
How is this ethical or legal? Take money and just hold indefinitely?
Desired outcome: Refund my deposit.

has anyone considered filing a class action lawsuit??! we ordered 2 buildings in may of 2021, told we would have them in July of 2021, we have called every 2 weeks since August and get the same response "you are on a priority list and you are in the scheduling department" it means absolutely nothing! we have even emailed them and asked anonymously how long...

September 29, 2021 I signed a contract and submitted my monies down. I was told before I submitted the deposit I would have my drawings within a week. Then I am told after I paid the deposit it would take 8 to 10 weeks to get the drawings and it has been now 12 weeks and no one will answer my emails.
Please help me either get my depoisit back or submit my drawing so I can get a permit and concrete estimates.

Garage
I ordered a 30x40 garage in September of 2020. It is now January of 2022 and I have yet to receive the building. I have called numerous times to try and find out where it is and when it will be delivered and every time I get a different story and a run around. I was told I would have it before the first snow in 2020, that obviously didn't happen. I have...

I have had two building on order for over a year. I call monthly, but though the phone answers are friendly, they are zero help. I have offered to change colors, change sizes, anything that might expedite the process. Best advice I have is avoid this company.
Desired outcome: Install my buildings!
Not received my building
I ordered a garage in March of 2021 using Gatorbackcarports who informed me that coast to coast would be the manufacturer and the ones to put up the building. They said I should receive my building by the end of July 2021. It is now December and still no building. Gatorbackcarports have been great to work with but coast to coast is a joke. Customer service sucks and they won't tell you anything. I was advised a few months back that if I changed from 12 gauge to 14 gauge that I would be able to get my building faster. Still nothing has happened. I was told that my building would be coming out of their Heyburn Idaho plant since I'm located in eastern Utah and I offered to drive up there to pick up my building if it would speed things up but they won't give me any contact information to speak to the manager of the Idaho plant. Very irritated with this dishonest company and do not recommend anyone to use them. Also its funny how there still taking orders with so many people that have still not received there buildings. Hopefully Gatorbackcarports is willing to give my deposit back or ill have to take some legal action.
Desired outcome: My building delivered and set up as promised or a refund soni can do business elsewhere.
I’m in the same boat. I gave a deposit back in May of 2021 with an expected installation date of October. Now it’s January 2022. They also said if I downgraded from 12 gauge to 14 gauge it would speed up the process, that was back in September.
I had just contacted them yesterday and they said they do not have an expected timeframe 😡.
