Don't get trapped! I bougth into Grand Geteways that thinking can go on vacations with great price just as the presenter shown me too. I was at their calypso cay florida orlando office on June 5, 2o11. By that time, I left my daughter 10 whom I took to FL. for National competetion with her older brothers at hotel thinking I will be back soon. I didn't have food or drink for thiembecause I was told only take 60-90 minites. Thinkg I can get all they need on the way back in time to feed my kids and prepare my daughter for the competition. I was told if I sign up membership, I can get out there quick. I started there about 10:00AM, the presentation shown many good deals, than sales person start to talk to me, they even shown me the requests by members with their names, date of request and good price, range all from $199.00-$249.00 per week, they even mentioned some celeberty being their member was visiting. I beleived them and eager to get out of there go back to take care my kids eapecially my daughter who has a competition at 3:00PM at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. They rushed me through, I didn't even hear there is a three days of grace periond to cancel. All I was thinking is get the paper work done and get back to my kids. I finally got out around 2:00Pm left very little time for my daughter. I rushed her to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex without good preparation and late. She end up didn't even get palced. I feel terrible about it, so did she. My bad luck is not over, when I had a little time to site down to think, I suddenly realized that I forgot I have to pay for my older son's SAT classes during the summer which I spent on this vacation club. So I went back to their office on June 9th 2011 to cancel this membership, you can imaging, their attitude change dramatically. I was refused, even thought I told them I wasn't aware of three days cancellation policy and I have no money to afford it(even though in the contract says that if you can't afford, they can't have the contract). I came back to PA, feeling so guilty on what I have done to my family: My daughter lost her opportunity to get medals because of the never-ending vacation club meeting and the intimidating from sales person; I'm not going to have money for my son to go to SAT classes. I searched this company, they got many complains already. All these make me so frustrated, finally I got into a car accidnet in July, almost got killed. I also quoted for few time, the deal they give to me is way more expensive than the once I can find off the web myself: cruise, airfare, hotel, resorts... I called and e-mailed the sales person Michelle Schuda trying to ask her to help me cancel the membership and get refunded, she end up left the company. I tried to contact Denise, one of other sales person, when I called, I was questioned like a spy. I have no money to pay and lost my daughter's champion, my son's SAT class fee, and so truamatized got into a car accident. When I stopped the payment, they start to collect me. My friends are trying to help me by reporting my case and this company to Fox New, Florida Real Estate Commission fraud department and file a lawsuit against them. Now I am doing whatever I can do to get my money back.
So people watch out, don't get trapped, when you try to get your money back, you can't find them. If they are legitmate, there won't be a probelm for me to get refunded under my circumstances, there is no reason for this compny continue to hold my money not refund me.

We should organize a class law suit to get things right!

Ever heard of 'buyer beware'? It is not something you want! It is a C L U B! Plain &
simple. All they have done is change the name from Timeshare to Club.
I received a call this morning & when I heard her say the word Club-I hung up.
We have a vacation home that is ours. No sharing, no 2 weeks out of the year. It cost us $85, 000 & is in a gated community. It is a lodge that we could put into the rental system, but we choose not to. It is a 'stand alone home with condo ammenities'. We own it outright. What we have invested, we will get back when we sell it. AND, make a profit!
We have been through the shpeal of these clubs. All they want is your money. I canNOT see spending ANY amount of money on something I can't own outright!
We went to Cancun in 2011 & sat through the shpeal for over 3 hours, knowing we would not buy into their 'club', but there are always nice gifts at the end. She was SOOOO nice...until we told her no. REPEATEDLY! That is 3 hours I won't get back!
Just stay away from these people. If they call, HANG UP!

I had the same experience. This company is completely fraudulent and I would strongly recommend people to avoid them. We purchased a 1 year contract as a promotion but never used it. I purposely did not renew the contract after 1 year. I then received a phone call from Elijah Smith [protected] ext 1009) at their company. He told me that I had to renew the contract or they would report me to credit agencies. I was at work and was forced to make an immediate decision. I renewed but upon review of my contract that night, I realized that Mr Smith was wrong. I called and he agreed to refund my money. He has agreed to do so 4 times but I have never received either my money or a cancellation number. He says I have to wait for their finance dept who also doesn't return my calls. Mr Smith then told me to return all of the travel vouchers they mailed to me in order to get a refund. I did that too (and have the receipt to prove it), but still no refund.
These people have had 26 similar complaints filed against them in the last 12 months (check bbb.com). Do not do business with them.
