On August 25, I had movers move furniture from a house in Wheaton to one in Lombard, IL. The movers worked very hard and were given a very generous tip. On their way out I noticed a big hole in the wall on the stairway where they were carrying the furniture. They weren't even going to say anything about it! They admitted they did it, took a picture and said they would send a report in for repairs. This was never done. I called many times, sent 2 emails with pictures and was told they would take care of it. This was 8 weeks ago. Chris, who I spoke with on many occasions said he will put a rush on it. I never heard back from anyone. I was not upset about the hole as it was an accident. I'm upset they weren't going to say anything, and I want it fixed.

Arrived 2+ hours late. Caused large hole in wall as the result of carelessness. Punctured mattress. Missing bed pieces. Various damage to walls, stairs, floors. Did not complete move.

They have overcharged me for 6hrs which they said was the minimum and the waited in the car for 1.5 hrs after they were done early. They were threatening to leave unless I pay for the full 6 hrs prior to the move. They didnt take any precaution when it comes to covering when they moved the furniture and damaged most of it including the front door of the house. They said they are unable to disable the furniture and watch me do it myself , when the dissembling was listed as part of the service by the broker.

Use this moving company to move to my new home they flipped furniture and over and punched holes in my new walls they damaged almost everything they touched including splitting one piece of furniture dragging upholstered furniture across concrete and scratching or denting every other piece of furniture not light damage either 4 and 5 in broken Corners Etc. When I tried to file a claim the company said that was normal wear and tear. How it's normal wear and tear to punch holes in people's walls or flip Furniture end-over-end pile it up in Corners I don't know. There is an insurance policy in the move and they owe me at the bare minimum the cost to repair my walls.

I hired Coffey *** for a move between Hyde Park and Evanston. I bought supplies from them and boxed most of my things. They come in, and immediately asked for a tip of $300. I was surprised but I agreed. Only later did I learn that this was forbidden. They began to load my truck, promising to finish "in a few hours." At one point, they grabbed a duvet cover and used it to wrap furniture, ruining it. They could not take all my things. They then took two hours to get to my house. By then it was 7 pm. They made me sign in advance for delivery. They unloaded the truck and left all my things in the middle of the street. They had been contracted to move me in! When my back was turned, they drove off. It was dark, I am 70, and I was terrified. had to call the police. A crew of off duty police kindly helped me move my things inside. Then I had to hire another crew to move things into the right place. They refused all my calls, saying I was too angry. I am. It was an insured move.

Date of Move: Jan 29, 2021 Full Amount Paid: $908.00 Date of Written Claim: February 2 Coffey Bros Moving damaged neighboring unit's doorframe and the common hallway drywall at *** Street. I have submitted day-of video documentation of the damage and security camera footage stills to claim*** (COFFEY CLAIMS). The *** O Street management company has provided COFFEY CLAIMS with the repair quote of $1410. COFFEY CLAIMS denied liability and the claim, claiming "wear and tear." Damage description: 1. Unit 31G: DeAndre and Luke tried to use unit 31G's foyer for additional space to move the couch out of 31F. The doorframe inside *** has gouges in the wood from the team pushing the couch into the frame. The gouges are deep enough to have also snagged pieces of plastic that the couch was wrapped in 2. Common hallway: the drywall in the common hallway has gouges and marks from the couch being pushed against the walls for sustained periods of time.

On June 27 Coffey Bros. Mover was hired to move my furniture. I did not see them put my things in the truck however, when they came into my house they seems to professional in the way that they were wrapping my furniture. Once we gotten to the new place I heard one of the guys arguing and I asked "What is going on? The guys tells me that they broke one leg off my dresser. After bring the dresser into the house I notice the other leg was chipped and a hole in the back of the dresser. I do not understand how they did that unless they was just careless with your things. In my child bedroom I notice her knobs on both twin bed foot and head was broken. I contacted the supervisor and he informed to put in a claims order. On July 10,2020 along with my claim form , pictures, and receipts was email to Coffey Mover. I received a email telling me that they had 120 days to review and someone will contact me. The paper work also stated that you can not do anything to the damage furniture until they finish. The 120 days was up in November and still have not gotten a call from them. I contacted the company and they asked me again to send receipts, pictures and someone will call me. as of today December 29,2020 I have not heard from anyone at the company. This is the most unprofessional people I ever seen. If you don't call them they will not call you back nor take responsibility for their action. I would like to have my furniture repaired so that I can go forward with my life. This hurts me so much to see people don't care.
