I used this company to load for a move
I used this company to load for a move. After my personal property was irreparably damaged and the moving crew went behind my back to avoid taking responsibility for the damage (a complaint in itself), I have been attempting to file a damage claim with SML. I have not been able to reach anyone in the claims department for a consecutive week despite at minimum of 3 voicemails. A representative in another department was able to get me claims forms to fill out, which I am now being told have not been received, despite having proof that I submitted all required documentation within the required timeframe (6 days ago). Of course, no one in any department is able to reach the claims department. Most recently I was told "they must be at lunch" - well a whole week of no contact is quite a long lunch break. I am seeking contact by the claims department and timely processing of my damage claim for the fullest amount possible due to the gross mishandling of my property by SML movers.

We hired them to load our POD on 9/29
We hired them to load our POD on 9/29. Upon hiring their service they knew our items would not be unloaded until months later as the home we were moving into was being repaired. Upon unloading of the POD and unwrapping our furniture we saw that our furniture had huge gashes. I filed a claim. They denied based on the following reasons. It was over the 14 days from service date, not enough furniture pads, not tied down, normal damage from transit (wood rubbing). Pads were provided, especially for the pieces that were damaged since those were large wood pieces, did not need to be tied down the POD was packed tight, the damage is not from wood rubbing but from lack of care as it's huge gashes (chunks of wood missing). The lack of care comes from them being a man short instead of sending 3 movers they sent 2. They did not shrink wrap the furniture or bubble wrap them (these items were provided). How can a claim be filed 14 days from service if the POD is not unloaded at that time.

On 9/7 I booked a move w/ Matt from SML. He stated one small truck, 2 workers, 2 hours from 1-2 pm at $375 from storage to home only 4 miles- 3 pieces of *** top. On 9/8 not 2 but 3 workers showed up 2 1/2 hours late after I left work EARLY. The man in charge stated my price went up from $110 an hr. to $135 an hour to accommodate 3rd worker & travel time because it was "far". I was told they were only located in Hackensak. He said they will move fast to keep price down. After completed within ONE HOUR- price was $450 & they would not release my furniture til I paid. He also asked to pay him CASH so he didn't have to wait to be paid by SML. I refused & paid thru CashApp which was weird for a "moving company". I called *** said he only authorized 2 workers but he already left work & to call someone else. I had to pay the extra $75 to get my furniture off the truck. They even used my moving blankets not their own stuff. Company very unprofessional.
Moving company damaged every piece of furniture except one. Movers were clearly hungover or possibly drunk on the job and made it clear they did not want to be working. I was billed for them to stand around and do nothing for well over an hour. The damage I'm most frustrated about is that they dragged my mattress on concrete and bent it in half, without covering it even though they were provided with blankets.
Move was July 22, *** I paid SML Moving over $8K for move. I was to be provided, 3 movers on both ends, a 26ft moving truck w/driver, plus blankets, straps, shrink wrap and lock. Movers didnt need to pack anything. I was told to leave the clothes in dressers - the movers would shrink wrap those items. Items not packed into truck properly, used shrink wrap on 3 pieces only, didnt strap furniture down in rows, etc. The dispute is for the destruction of my *** of move (can provide photos/video/description). I sent SML requested info for claims on July 31st. They needed *** business days to complete (claim#-C-591604). The service I signed up for offers to fix or replace damaged item(s) at a rate of $00.60 per lb per item for approved damages only. I sent them *** required and offered to send video. No response to my emails/phone calls. I want my claims paid to me for damages (just about all in truck).
We had SML crew load a truck for us on 09/10 I was distracted and harassed by the crew leader pretty much the whole time, about investing in some crypto currency scam. So needless to say I was pretty eager for them to leave. After They left I discovered while loading our , the crew smashed the corner of it into the wall which I later discovered after needing to re pack most of the truck, because they did such a poor job loading it. Literally everything fragile would have broken if I had left it the way they had packed it. The crew also kept talking about how they had never done this before, and I could tell. After discovering the *** I contacted SML and was giving some forms to fill out and I submitted those and pictures on 9/16 Claim [OID:621192]After a week of no communication I called and was told I would get a call in 3 days. After 4 days I called and was told I would get a call within the next week.Based on other reviews their claims department seem like a scam.
I used SML to book a team of 3 movers several weeks before our move
I used SML to book a team of 3 movers several weeks before our move. They were scheduled to arrive between 2 and 3 PM at our new apartment. Because the apartment was on the third floor, SML required us to book 3 movers instead of 2 at a higher rate. I paid a deposit on the day I booked, and then my credit card was charged for the remaining balance the day before the scheduled move. I received a call from a manager of the moving company (not SML) saying they were understaffed and the team was running late and would be there at 3 PM. At 4 pm, the team had still not arrived so I attempted to contact the manager again. At 5 PM, the manager finally got a hold of the team and told me they were an hour away. The team finally got there at 6:30 PM. There were only two people who showed up and they could not complete the job themselves so we had to help them unload and carry items upstairs. I have called SML multiple times and have received no response from their team to address my concerns.

On April 14th, SML provided 2 laborers to help me make a local move. While dismantling a bed, the laborers broke the bed and damaged the wall in the bedroom. I called SML, they provided me with a claim form which I returned within the allotted time frame. I followed with estimates for repair and have heard nothing from SML. The *** has not returned my phone calls or emails for an update. I don't think their claims are anywhere near as good as the sales *** which is also somewhat inept! I would like a resolution.
I hired professional movers who destroyed my belongings.Ripped my brand new leather couch, scratched, ripped, lost screws, my dining room table, night stand, footboard, stainless steel table, bookcase. And they wont take responsibility or accountability.I have photos I provided and they say $.60 per pound. I have to weigh my furniture?
I had been over charged on 2 jobs by Simple Moving. I had also been told to pay cash and not by the apps such as Venmo, Apple Pay, Zelle that they told me on the phone. After they tried charging me an extra $250 for an hours work to remove some left over rubbish from my move 2 days before and an extra $700 for that move 2 days before, I asked to speak to someone about this before the crew left after the second job that took an hour. *** the person in the office they put on the phone proceeded to call me a stupid b*** and what am I stupid [censored] and retarded and on and on screaming and yelling profanity at me. I then got *** on the phone from the office who told me they would get back in touch with me the next day to let me know what $ amount they would refund me. That never happened. When I called to follow up I was told they would get back to me. That never happened. I want a refund from this horrible company. Most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with.
On 7/09 my truck rental company (Penske) referred me to Simple Moving Labor. When they loaded it, they thought it would be best to pile heavy stuff in front, as well as on top of the table. Severe damage was done to my kitchen table, as you can see. I filed a complaint with the company, they then told me that they would get back to me within 21 days. We are now on 8/24. I have heard nothing back from them. Like with so many other complaints, they brushed it under the table. I attempted to file with the Complaintsboard.com, but that page for them was no longer active. This dinner table was purchased nearly 20 years ago.

I am being charged $1000 for 8 hours of moving service that was beyond terrible
I am being charged $1000 for 8 hours of moving service that was beyond terrible. I called SML 3 times during the day to report that I was having g problems with the movers not performing, performing slow, and not loading my moving truck correctly. They just threw stuff in without any plan or organization. At one point they stood around for 45 minutes while one guy tried unsuccessfully to remove my fridge door so they found fit it out of the kitchen. The other two stuff around and watched and I am being billed for it. Customer service just defended the movers. I took pictures of all the empty space they left in the truck that I had to spend 8 hours unloading and reloading correctly. To be charged $1,000 for the worst service I have ever received is beyond ridiculous. This group did not know the first thing g about proper moving. They argued amongst themselves during the day, they put a 3 foot hole in my wall when they moved my safe downstairs, and took their time throughout the day.

I contracted with sml for laborers to load an unload furniture for my move. The receiving laborers were arranged, however sml stated the could not find laborers to ***. I was told that they had to reach outside of their company for laborers for a higher cost. Since I applied for their services on line ,these type of changes were not mentioned. In the last week I have phoned sml at least ten times an only received the run around. Thirty minutes ago after being transferred 4 times, I sat on the phone for 53 minutes until someone answered an then she pretended she could not hear me an hung up the phone. My name is *** an my number is ***.
The business has overcharged me. First, after the move was over they charged me the full price even though I had already paid $300 down payment. Second, on the Biloxi move they only sent out 2 movers where the order quite clearly showed 3 movers were ordered. If you look at the *** you'll see it took substantially longer to unload than to load. The reason for this of course is that they had fewer movers. I contacted them on July 19 and after a wait of several hours finally talked to someone. They agreed to refund $619.20 which of course they never did. Again if you look at the *** from the attached email you can see the $150 I paid as a down payment for each move. When they charged my bank account they took the entire amount of the move ($1238) not the $938 that was owed. I believe that deliberately overcharging someone and then not correcting the problem constitutes fraud.
On July 13 SML sent their crew of 3 men to help me move out, they were recommended by my storage Cubesmart. The agreement was for 1 hour at a discounted rate of $158.95 and any extra hour at $154.80. Which for 3 hours ended up being $512.70. Two weeks later my husband told me that we had paid $732 and when I called SML they said that I had used 4 men instead of 3, I am still waiting for my refund. Beside that, one of those movers left one of my wood bed frame sides unsecured vertically so it toppled over and split at its connectIon. Without that wood piece I dont have a bed frame or a way to support the headboard which came with the bed. So what did they do? They only gave me *** cents per pound of that piece of the wood frame that they broke which according to there calculations is 80lbs. Meaning I got a check for $48 for a bed that cost me $1500 that I cant no longer use. The entire bed is at least 600 pounds of garbage now.
I filed a damage claim that occurred on 5/7. The damage was discovered during the unload on 5/11. Instructed to have unload company submit the pictures, which was done on 5/11. Filed a report. They said I need to send pictures, however, when speaking to the billing department because they overbilled me, I was told the pictures were in my file. Mostly unanswered calls and emails. Told on 7/1 to expect a letter after a *** business day review. No response. This damage was done three months ago. This needs to be resolved. I have several furniture items that were damaged.
I contracted this company for a major one-way move - from my previous home to New Jersey
I contracted this company for a major one-way move - from my previous home to New Jersey. They were to provide movers to help load my furniture and boxes from my house to the truck, and then to provide a different set of movers at my destination to unload. The movers to help load the truck were supposed to arrive and load between 3 and 5 pm on Tuesday, July 13. They called on Sunday evening and again on Monday to confirm. Makes you think they are on top of things, doesn't it? Well, they called me on moving day at 3:30 pm to ensure the loaders had arrived (via an automated service). I tried to communicate that they hadn't, but that turned into a round and round that went nowhere. At 4:01 pm they told me they would be no more than 30 minutes late. Between 4:01 pm and 9:00 pm (remember they were supposed to be DONE by 5 pm), I had FIFTEEN calls with SML and two calls with the contract company, confirming they would be there 'no matter what'. Well, guess what 'no matter what'

I hired SML for an unload in Parker, CO on 4/15
I hired SML for an unload in Parker, CO on 4/15. I hired a 4-man crew to arrive at 8-9am. I paid a $110 deposit on one of my credit cards on 4/14 and another $382.70 later on 4/14. I received a text from a mover, ***, at 8:16am saying his expected arrival was 9:20am. I notified him we had a rental truck that needed to be returned by 12:30pm or we would be charged for an extra day. He agreed to pay the extra charges if they were not completed with the job on time. At 9:30am, a woman driving a *** with IL plates drove onto our property saying she was here to help move a couch; she had been given our address from a *** posting requesting moving help. We called SML to notify of this situation, were told by an associate named *** that management would contact me, & to let them finish the job. *** came with one crew member at 9:40am. They did not keep anything broken at the front corner of the truck like we asked so we could take pictures & lied about time spent.

Simple Moving Labor was hired for services at my home in a confidential location.
Simple Moving Labor was hired to load a truck on 9/11 at my home and to unload it on 9/17 at the destination. They arrived over a day late at the loading location, incurring additional costs and causing hardship for my family. At the destination, they were 4 hours late, leading to further expenses. The work was incomplete as the truck was not fully loaded, resulting in extra moving costs. They also failed to dismantle or assemble beds as agreed. The company's online estimates were inaccurate, and the movers provided were unfit for the task, with one being morbidly obese and another a smoker in their mid-40s. Their lack of diligence and excessive breaks led to an overrun of the estimated hours. Out of two dozen furniture pads I provided, less than half were used, which caused significant damage to my belongings.

I was referred to Simple Moving Labor by *** to load and unload household goods on two rental trucks. Initial load was 8/31 and unload on 9/5. Overall I was happy with their services. Their staff was prompt and polite. However the loading crew arrived without the promised tools. There was some damages to two of the furniture items that was appropriately documented by both crews and in subsequent phone and email communications. I have emailed and called multiple times to SML and have received no acknowledgement of either the email or phone calls being received. The only way to talk to a live person is to select the option for a new or existing customer. The person that answers the call states they are behind on damage claims and someone will be in touch. Selecting the extension for a damage claim results in having to leave a voicemail. I have now left a message on their website asking for someone to contact me from corporate headquarters or customer relations. And now I reluctantly am filing a Complaintsboard.com complaint.

On October 24, I officially submitted a damage claim request to Simple Moving Labor (SML) that included a three-page questionnaire and a description of the item--an antique ***--that was damaged by one of the movers on October 13. The questionnaire, items form, pictures of the damage, and live-camera footage were provided via email within the time frame allotted by the company. Equally important, I verbally informed the movers and filed a written complaint the day damage was done to the leg of the *** on October 13. My phone calls and voice mails on November 3 and October have purposefully been ignored by the claims office at SML. The company gives the customer the impression that they are professional and listens to the concerns of the customer, but when it is time for the "rubber to meet the road" they are just "fluff and no substance." SML has shown no effort to follow-up on my complaint; an utter disregard for customer service, professionalism, and making the customer whole.

Reserved movers for 2 hours online on 07/20
Reserved movers for 2 hours online on 07/20. Movers were for family members who live in Arizona, I live in MN. Called company on 07/21 to provide contact info for family member in AZ and provide specific instructions to limit service to 2 hours for large items only. Recieved bill for 3 hours. Called 07/22 immediately to complain. Company employee acknowledged that the 2 hour max was in the notes and informed me that it was ok for the crew to work another hour based on my family members authorization (not the card holder). I got very angry and yelled at this employee who continued to tell me I was wrong. Hung up and called back and spoke to another employee who also acknowledged the 2 hour max I asked for. Asked for a manager and was told none were available. Offered call back. When manager called back he denied the notes and the phone call where I asked for 2 hours max. Manager said he listened to all calls and there was no such request. Manager then denied notes ofnthe 2 hour maximum. Once both were confirmed I eneded the call.

On June 19 of this year we engaged SML to help us with a local move from a storage unit just a few miles away from a new apartment we were moving into in ***, . They sent laborers over who:1. Attempted to pad hours worked to inflate the cost 2. Dropped and dragged furniture which caused significant damage. We completed all of the forms and submitted pictures at the beginning of July and followed up every few weeks or so to get answers. SML was very unresponsive. Ultimately in November they said that they are declining all claims to damage and will not accept responsibility for the damage. It is unclear why but they are saying we should have had tie down straps and blankets but the furniture was already wrapped up and the damage did not happen in the very few miles of local travel, it happened from being dropped and dragged. The pictures are pretty clear, They are completely unprofessional and do not stand behind their people or their product. You should not sponsor them and I want to make sure people are not similarly harmed and disregarded by this company

Having provided movers with several furniture pads, tie downs, moving tape, furniture wrap, and moving blankets; I did not expect the devastation when our moving truck arrived at our new home. There was barely. single possession that wasn't left damaged or destroyed. There was a cabinet placed on a box that said "fragile." Moving blankets were draped on top of furniture like they were tucking them in for a nap; not wrapping them for safe travel. There was damage to family heirlooms and irreplaceable items. We did not expect more damage after we had arrived at the destination. On unloading our couch in New York, it did not fit in the elevator; so it was decided to force it to fit. This not only tore a softball sized hole in our couch but also bent the frame of the elevator in our new building. This was our first encounter with our apartment superintendant in our new place. We have filed an extensive and detailed claim. It has been 4 months with no response and active avoidance by the claims department at SML. This was a devastating move and experience; but it has continued to haunt us with the lack of resolution over the last 4 months.

I hired and contracted with SML in the Winchester ** area to unload a truck
I hired and contracted with SML in the Winchester *** area to unload a truck. I paid a $110 deposit and the movers were to come between 12 and 1PM. They called and changed that to 1-2PM. Then it was changed to 2-4PM> I repeatedly called SML and asked them to send other guys. AT one point, by 5PM "it was too late"...Then at 5:30 PM two guys showed up. By then we had unloaded most of the truck ourselves, and neighbors helped us get heavy furniture off the truck which I paid them $100 to put it in the garage so we could return the truck. The two workers for SML that showed up put the heavy stuff in the house which wasn't even an hour of labor. I was charged $124 and the $110 for 2 guys for about an hour. They claimed I'd get a $15 credit which didn't happen. I kept asking about the $110 deposit and they never responded to me. So I paid $234 for 2 guys that showed up 5.5 hours late, causing much distress. We then returned the truck and went through a huge hassle because due to the late hour, we had no ride back. Phone for SML I dealt with is *** I am not sure what city they work out of but the house is in ***. Request full refund for failure to show up and provide 3 hours moving labor

On 7/2 we used Simple Moving Labor for our move across states
On 7/2 we used Simple Moving Labor for our move across states. Three inexperienced movers showed up but were completely unqualified to move furniture. They were booked for two hours but took almost four hours and in the process packed the truck where metal legs of tables were rubbing against wood furniture tops despite providing blankets that we had bought specifically for the move. They did some damage to the corner of a wall coming down the stairs which would have been avoided had they covered the furniture with a blanket and if not for my husband directing them, they would have done more damage to the house. They broke off a piece of furniture by attempting to push it when it was not fully on the truck. 13 pieces of furniture were damaged in the move and despite filing a claim report that met their specific instructions and even receiving a claim number, there has been no follow up to the claim in three months. I have called over a dozen times with no answer and no response to the voicemails I have left. I have emailed numerous times with no response. It has become clear that they are simply avoiding this claim. I would like for my claim to be addressed and to receive reimbursement for the damaged furniture.
We hired SML for a move from Florida to Illinois in October
We hired SML to load a moving truck in Florida to travel to Illinois in October. As we were unloading the truck at the destination, we noticed the master bedroom furniture had no pad protection, the two nightstands were placed upside down on top of the dresser without padding, and during the move, the friction caused damage to all three pieces. We have submitted pictures showing the furniture on the truck before it was removed. We have statements from individuals who helped unload, stating what they witnessed. We are asking SML to compensate us for the repair costs of these furniture pieces. They are disputing the evidence, claiming the pictures we submitted do not show the unprotected furniture. The pictures that the laborers who loaded the truck took are of our guest room furniture, which was protected. SML is alleging that there were pads between the furniture that slipped off during the move, a claim we find absurd given the weight of the items. The pictures clearly show there were no pads initially. SML has refused to accept our pictures as proof of the actual events.
I hired this company to move a large 2 bedroom apartment into storage
I hired this company to move a large 2 bedroom apartment into storage. I asked them to be careful with my belongings and to put certain items in the front so I could have access to them. These items included perishable foodstuff and checks, including a $2700.00 certified check that I need to get back into my checking account so that I'll have the funds to find permanent lodging. They put everything that I asked to be left accessible in the very back of 30 foot long storage unit, including the perishable food. I have no idea where the check is so I have to see if the issuing bank will cancel the check and put it back into my checking account. When I called the company to complain and ask for someone to come out and fix the situation a completely different crew came out. This crew has no idea where anything is because they didn't move it and the crew that caused the mess didn't bother to mark/label anything. I'm now living in a motel without a change of clothes and very little money. This company has no right being in business and needs to be stopped before they do this to anybody else. They also left an entire pickup truck load of my belongings in the apartment I was moving from. A friend and I had to go back the next day and fill his truck and my car with all of the stuff they left behind.

I had reserved Simple Moving Labor to move my belongings on July 28th with $150 deposit to my *** card
I had reserved Simple Moving Labor to move my belongings on July 28th with $150 deposit to my *** card. It turned out the people that packed the truck in NY didn't bring down anything heavy and I called Simple Moving Labor to cancel their help. (I moved to SC without my stuff.) They informed me I couldn't get my deposit back, but I could use their service for a future move. I sold my house in NY and requested their service at the end of June and they were unable to put a team together for me on the day I needed them. I gave them plenty of time in advance as well. Then, I told my daughter to call them since she was moving last week and they told her too much time has gone by. I tried calling them yesterday to get my deposit back since they were not able to provide me movers in NY and they put me on hold for 20 minutes and then hung up when it turned 5 pm. I called them today at 12:45 pm today to try and resolve this and they put me on hold again and I finally spoke to someone. He told me a management team would call or email me in the next 72 hours. I don't think anyone is going to be calling me and they were putting me off as many companies do today. With your help, I think they will return the money. You have helped me on 2 other occasions. Amazing how fast they reply when you get involved.

I contracted SML services to pack and unload my household furniture and misc items when I relocated from ***, NJ to Riverview, FL
I contracted SML services to pack and unload my household furniture and misc items when I relocated from ***, NJ to Riverview, FL. During the move 70% of my items were severely damaged. I contacted SML as instructed and followed all of their damaged claim procedures. I was sent an email notification that they received all of the required documentation for the claim and would contact me within 20 - 25 business days. The original email confirmation of receipt of my claim was received on July 29th. I have not received any additional contact from SML. On September 14th I called the claims department and was transferred to voicemail. I left a message asking for a status update on the claim. Since that day I have called them an additional 4 times, leaving a voicemail each time. I have also sent them 3 emails asking for updates. My final attempt was on Monday 9/29. I contacted their office and reached a service representative named Isabel in their new orders department. She again transferred me back to the claims department and no one has gotten back to me as of this date. I am left with destroyed furniture and no-one will respond to my attempt at a resolution. I have attempted to handle this with the company but they lack accountability for the terrible service that was provided and are not holding up their end of the claims process.

Booked 2 men for 2 hours to unload a rental moving truck on 12/30 cost of $288.20
Booked 2 men for 2 hours to unload a rental moving truck on 12/30 cost of $288.20. If over time was needed cost if $130.50/hr. They required a $110 deposit. My storage unit is in Sacramento but I am now living in Bermuda dunes, a 525 mile trip. I5 was closed for over 3 days over the grapevine due to storms and snow in December when I had planned to move my storage unit down south to my new home. Because of this I canceled my order and gave them a possible date for reschedule in March . I was told today that since I did not contact them in March, the $110 deposit is non refundable. They never made any contact with me or I with them. Due to pandemic and mandatory closure of non essential business, I was not sure if they were open. I am a senior with underlying conditions, and am in the very high risk category. I was never emailed anything or told verbally that this deposit was non refundable if not used in 90 days as I was told today on the phone. Not sure of the location I was speaking with but the phone number called is ***. It seems unreasonable to keep my deposit after cancellation, which was done within their required time line, as I could not give a confirmed reschedule date. I work and need to schedule around that plus need the funds to cover the whole move of over $1500. Again I cancelled within the required time frame and should not be expected to know when I could reschedule nor should I have to use this company. Again there was no information given or told to me that this deposit was non refundable until I called them today to check on the status of it.

I had to hire Simple Moving Labor at the last minute late in the afternoon on June 2 for the next morning June 3rd. They were supposed to send two guys to show up at 9:30am for what was left of our move. Approximately 2 hours with drive time. They were referred from *** truck rental. The cost without truck rental was $349.50 for 2 hours with 2 men. We waited for 2 hours, they didn't show up. So we called them. They said the guys had been given an address across the state and they would have someone there at 12:30. No one showed. We repeated this process 3 more times and finally 2 rough looking fellows showed up at 7:30pm. We waited 10 hours for someone to show up. They loaded our stuff all the while ruing one of my end tables, gouging my bedroom mirror and ruing other miscellaneous stuff. They unloaded our stuff into the new driveway and said they were done and expected a tip. Feeling pressured into giving them a tip as not knowing what their recource would be we gave them $50.00. They left after 1 hour and 50 minutes and my 72 year old ex-husband had to carry the stuff in at 9:20 at night. 12 hours from the time we started waiting for them. I am not well, so I could not help. Then they said they would look over our bill and see whats fair to give us as a credit. In the end they reimbursed us $100.00. So with the tip they made $300.00 for 1 hour and 50 minutes of work. And we made $100.00 for 13 hours of waiting and work. I think they could have at least split the whole cost by giving us $200.00. Also, they give you 14 days to file a claim or you lose. They didn't send me the paperwork for 5 of those days, then I had a brain aneurysym had to have surgery was to sick to fill out the claim form in time. So now I am out a $500.00 mirror and new end tables. I must file a complaint about Penske referring

We had contracted with simple moving labor on 8/27 for two professional loaders. I supervised at first but had to go to the *** By the time I returned the 2 workers were getting into their car with more to pack and barely any room left. I had to repack the back part of the the 26' truck I rented for a 2 bedroom house to get everything else in. These 2 so called professional loaders even packed a trash bag of garbage that contained meat. The trash bag was open and sitting outside the house. When we un packed the truck the bag of trash was found with a box underneath that had maggots on the top of it. A secretary desk was set on it's back instead of on it's legs. One of the legs is snapped off due to inexperienced loaders. I have filed a claim with simple moving labor 3 or more weeks ago and have never heard back. Very bad customer service since the phone call always goes to voice mail with never a call back.
Breach of contract. I signed a contract for 3 movers a few days ahead of the moving date. On the moving date, there were only 2 movers. Simple moving company never inform me of it even though we have already signed a contract. Because they are under staffed, the movers dropped several of my furniture, washer and dryer, scratched and dented the hardwood floor. No my lacquer cabinet doors doesn't open at all because one of the movers dropped it twice during moving. They even drag furniture across the room.
Simple Moving Labor (SML) provided a wildly incorrect expectation they would provide high-rated & well-trained professionals. Movers were friendly but not remotely professionals. Moving blankets were rarely used, furniture was repositioned on concrete without a dolly/padding, boxes were carried 1 or 2 at a *** had no expertise moving heavy furniture (which I noted to the initial sales rep). I advised SML that the movers would need moving straps, but SML failed to relay the info, causing several hours of delay. My *** is with SML employees (not so much the movers) & how they conducted themselves throughout the process. Other than the initial sales rep, the SML team was argumentative and disinterested in a resolution. I made several attempts to work with different managers and escalate my concern; the managers were unwilling to work towards a resolution that was satisfactory. They made up some fake scheme discount providing no real benefit.
Simple Moving Labor (SML) is a service I hired to load household goods from my previous home into a moving truck, and unload the goods from the truck into my current home. This work was completed by SML on December 1.During the load, the movers damaged my *** desk. This was reported to SML immediately after the damage was discovered.During the unload, the movers caused property damage to my new home. This was immediately reported to and documented by the SML moving crew.I purchased supplemental damage reimbursement coverage (Buy-up Protection) from SML for this load/unload service. On December 15, I filed a claim for both the damaged desk and damage to my home in accordance with SMLs policy. On December 16, SML confirmed receipt of my claim, and advised that a decision would be made and communicated to me within *** business days.I have contacted SML numerous times since then, but have not received a response. Please see attachments.
