Cole’s gingerbread ice cream
Over priced for 500g (1/2 a litre) of fairly tasteless ice cream. I am sooooo disappointed 😔!!! This could have been a xmas winner, something customers looked forward to every xmas. But, $4.00 for 500g (1/2 A litre) is outrageously indulgent and greedy of coles - taking advantage of gingerbread loving customers and providing a fairly tasteless, over priced tiny product. Not happy coles!!!
Read full review of Coles Supermarkets Australiacoles wynyard standards
Coles Wynyard needs a push to up the standard! On several occasions I have visited to find the shop in a mess - the first time I thought it had been robbed and trashed! Really don't open your doors until you are clean we are not third world! All it takes is for someone to push a broom through it, dont understand how staff can walk past and not clean up. You really need to look at your management if this is acceptable standard and like I said it is not the first time.
Turns customers off shopping here god only knows what the travellers think of us!
coles woodcroft nsw
On Tuesday 5th December I popped into Coles Woodcroft where I have done my shopping for over 20 years and this is the first time I have felt the need to make this complaint about 2 Staff members.
1. Alexandra in the deli was extremely rude with very high attitude. I was in the process of looking for a cooked chicken, I had to look around Alexandra as she stood right in the middle of them and wouldn't move to the side, as i grabbed one I noticed the one I grabbed was quite cooked up so I wanted to put it back and get one not so cooked up (well at least look for one not so cooked up) as Alexandra was in the way I had no where to put it. She then just snatched the chicken off me and rolled her eyes. At no time was she trying to hand me a chicken. In my shock of her rudeness I looked at her and told her
"I was going to put it back". To which she ignored and turned away. I then said to her "if you had of let me do it, you wouldn't have need to have the attitude. I started to walk away but then went back and asked her name. She didn't answer me, she just moved her apron so I could read her name tag.
2. When I finished paying for my shopping I asked the lady at the register do I go to the service desk to make a complaint about the girl in the deli. She immediately called out to Bev (I think it was) to call for Daniel. Unfortunately Daniel did not come to see me but a guy named James who informed me he was the Dry Goods Manager. Well if he is a manager, Coles Woodcroft has some serious problems. He told me Store Manager was on a conference call and there was nothing he could do about it. He also said that he knew about the incident and that Alexandra had already told him and that "she was just trying to hand me a chicken. Well that it not the case what so ever. He stated once again it will have to be taken up with the store manager not him. His attitude and his total disregard for the truth of what occurred was appalling.
While speaking to him I asked him why Only the COKE 30 packs were on special and the COKE ZERO were not. He informed me that they had a lot of stock that wasn't sold and that was why. I then informed him that I think Coles will loose because both are on special at IGA. As he was walking away from me, obviously he had finished the conversation he said "awww well, today's the last day so who cares.". Great Management skills there.
I was really quite shocked and annoyed at his attitude and how dismissive he was. I told him " What is the point of Complaining about something / someone if the person who comes to see you is not bloody better.
As I said I have shopped at Woodcroft for years and this is the only time I have ever been that annoyed to send through a complaint.
Not sure what your procedures or who does there Customer Service Training but seriously Alexandra (in the Deli) and James (dry goods manager) definitely need more.
Very Upset Customer,

bertocchi ham quarter
Hi there,
I'll begin by saying that I've never complained about a Coles product before but I felt so disappointed that I feel compelled to have my say.
We recently purchased a Quarter ham, which I understand is probably not a big deal for some people but it really was for us, but being the Christmas season I felt bad that our kids weren't going to have a fancy ham. We even lashed out and bought the really fancy, and more expensive one as a total treat. As you can see from the photo it took slice after slice after slice to see anything at all except pure fat. In fact, the overwhelming majority of the entire thing has been nothing but fat. I felt really guilty to have blown our meagre grocery budget on what was clearly a totally dodgy ripoff. We have obviously cut it open so I didn't feel I could return it, plus we are some considerable distance from town and our budget does no allow for extra trips but I do feel somewhat conned and actually disappointed that what I thought would be a rare treat was, in fact, a waste of our food budget.
A refund would be great of course, and a revision of quality control on what is touted to be the luxury product would be fairer to customers.
I appreciate your time and would like to end on a positive note that the staff at our local Coles are always friendly and helpful.
Kind regards,
Fiona Ryan

john west ready to eat prawns 260gms
I bought these prawns today 3/12/17 from Coles Liverpool NSW 2170.
The time was 9:30pm And I came straight home and cooked them.
The prawns smell absolutely horrible and I am left shocked And sad
that I just wasted my money.
I want my money back.
They still have a date on them that they expire on the 5/12/17.
But they are smelling before that.
coles chicken thigh fillets
I bought a box of Coles Chicken Thigh Fillets on Friday the 1/12/17 with an expiry date of 6/12/2017 .
Bought this product and placed it in my fridge (within a 30mins interval) to cook on Sunday 3rd of December. Today when I opened the box it had a distinct foul smell.
The chicken went off before its expiration.
Please note: none of our products in our fridge is off. Our fridge is working fine.
Please contact me for a follow up. I do regularly buy this product and havent had an issue with it before.
delivery
Order#[protected]. A note was left on my front door tonight as I urgently needed to get to a doctor requesting my order to be left on a secured porch. You did not leave the delivery and cancelled my order. You would not re- deliver the food we required urgently. You will not ensure the funds are reversed back into my account tonight so that I can go and buy some groceries tonight for my famiky. Between my business and home I spend on average $500 per week at coles. Never again will I support coles you have now lost a customer that has shopped loyally with you for over 10 years.
I had a very similar issue with coles online. I ordered groceries to be delivered and i always choose the 2pm - 10pm window, as it is cheaper, and my groceries are always last to be delivered, at around 9pm. Unusually, for the first time ever, the estimated delivery time stated on my online account, said between 2.30pm and 3.30pm. As this is the time that i have to leave home to pick my daughter up from school, i had to leave a note on my front door, advising the driver that i would be back by 3.15pm at latest, and to wait if possible.
I did not have access to phone or internet that particular week, due to having had problems with both, so all i was able to do was leave a note for the driver.
As i was walking back home with my daughter, i told her we had to hurry so we didn't miss the delivery. I kept watching the road ahead, looking out for the truck, and just as we were less than 5 minutes from home, i saw him drive down our street.
I got home to see the note still on the door, untouched. Don't think the driver even bothered to wait - that he just left. I didn't bother doing anything about it, as i was just too damn annoyed, so i let it go. That is, until, i noticed a $30 charge come out of my bank account from coles, with no explanation from an email, a phone call or a letter, as to what that charge was for and why.
I had to call them about a week later to enquire, and they told me it was because i wasn't home at the time of delivery and that $30 charge covers the drivers lost time.
[censor]!
i told them how very unhappy i was about that and that after being a long term loyal customer of coles, that i have never been hit with such a ridiculous and unjustified charge!
when i told them i was not even made aware by coles that this charge even exists, she told me it is on their website as people sign up for coles online.
So after the call, i set up a new coles online account, to see if that information appears, but suprise, suprise, it does not. During the entire signing up process, there is not any information that appears, stating this $30 delivery charge.
I thought that all companies and to make their "hidden" fees and charges clearly visible to customers, so that they know what they are signing up for?
but after doing my own research, i did find the information about this $30 charge, and it is kept hidden from customers, and is very hard to find, unless you know it is there and go looking for it.
Coles are deliberately hiding this fees from their customers, because they know that if they make that fact visible on their website, that customers will shop elsewhere!
this will be reported to accc and qld office of fair trading and i will keep fighting until i get my $30 back as that money belongs to me, and not coles.
Shame on you coles, and i too, will be supporting woolies, aldi and iga from now on.
poor product standards
I have just received my online order of which included one whole cauliflower, only to reveal the tiniest cauliflower that I have seen. I have included a photo alongside my three year olds hand so that it can be seen just how small it is, and my son is only of average size. Absolutely poor standards and to think that the person packing obviously had no sense to question its size. Purchased from Caboolture online delivery 2.12.17 order [protected].
customer service
I have photo of this girl because when I walk in ( I won't shop there again) this girl takes her name badge of to consistently be rude to me she laughs at me walks away from counter has stuck her finger up at me in front of my 7 yo neise, so unprofessional, if never meet this girl at all I do not know her, she works at the smoke counter. She has talked to other customers about me while I'm shopping they then start abusing me for reasons I don't know. I spoke to a duty manager Karen about this she told me she would sort it out, I had a really filled and had to leave because I was being abused by this team member in front of my neise who looked at me and says aunty can we please go home, I work FT when doing my food shop I don't expect to be abused by your staff and then have to waste. One time to go shop elsewhere.
I go there often and have noticed her i like her shes a cutie
Shes a hottie
poor customer service team member
I was with my friend shopping at liquorland. We grabbed a wine and I went to the checkout myself because my friend went to get some other food in Coles. When I was at the checkout, I got told by the staff " I cannot service you if your friend is not here!". I do understand the policy but he was very rude. He could have said it in a very nice way. I also used to work at Coles Supermarket and this is not the right way to treat customers. Then he was bashing the computer because it wasn't working when I got my friends back. And he got very angry with the computer. When I left, he always was very angry and hitting the computer. Very disappointed by the bad service. Would never go to burwood liquorland anymore.
poor customer service... waiting for answer, employee went home
Thursday 30-11-2017
Coles supermarket The Entrance approx 2pm
After looking for an advertised product which I couldn't find. A staff member (Sue) said she would have to look. After waiting 15-20 mins I started looking for her as she mumbled and complained all the way down the aisle that she had to do this. I walked to the area I thought she may have gone, only to be told she grabbed her bag and went home, leaving me standing there for ages.
I was not happy, I have better things to do. Christina Michaels then helped me found an answer in her always pleasant and efficient manner, probably the best staff member there, where as Sue is the worst.
smart buy domestic cleaner
I recently used your smart buy domestic cleaner product. I read the instructions as best I could as they are of very small print. Unfortunately I missed the bit about "Do not put in hot water" & put it in extremely hot water & cleaned the bathroom, toilet & kitchen. And then to make to make matters worse I washed it off with very hot water. Since then I have had an acrid, burning smell through out the house, permeating my bedding, cloths & the whole house, to the point of making me ill. What can I do to rectify this problem ? Also, can you insure to make the warnings larger & more prominent ? Could you contact me with any advice how to rectify my situation on [protected] as a spent some time trying to contact you on your 1800 number. Thank you.

coles brand rice milk
Hi Coles,
I am just emailing in to say that I have just brought this brand of milk and ... it's REALLY different from about 3 or 4 weeks ago when I last brought it. I've been buying it for a couple of years now but this 12liters I brought seems extremely clear in colour, tastes more sugary, and seems to taste like it's missing something - substance. I noticed it when I have a cup of tea and it's not really turning the water much of a different colour. It's very sweet in taste. I just feel like it's changed and not for the better. So I thought I would give you feedback.
cheers
Karen
trolleys
Every week lots of Coles trolleys are dumped around my suburb yet Coles hasn't put dollar coin operated locks on the trolleys at their nearby Broadway store. It's really inconsiderate. Dumped trolleys are unsightly and often get used as garbage bins or otherwise mistreated. The area has lots of students from overseas who don't even realize you aren't meant to take them home and, with no dollar coin operation, there's nothing to encourage them to put the trolleys back where they are meant to be. I'm really disappointed Coles doesn't seem to care about looking after the neighborhood and is happy for it to become a mess.
young staff
Upon walking into your store on Sarurday 25/11/2017 at 2PM, a young teen age female staff member with a dark complexion (heavy set) just walks straight through me without even any acnowledgement of excuse me then later on at aprox 2:15 PM when I was approaching the automatic check-outs again this time a tall teen male blond team member just walks in front of me to talk to a young blond female team member without excusing himself and me having to walk around him and he just gives me this displeased look.
customer service
Belconnen coles, At 10.41pm i paid for my groceries in the self serve section, i than walked to purchase a pack of cigarettes, there was a lady being served by this bloke, he was taking his flirting with her, next minute he just walks away to the self service section, not even did he say "ill be back in a minute"i watched him help acouple of customers and he walked back to the smoke section, he made a phone call and then proceeded to walk out and i asked if he was going to serve me, his reply was iam busy, , i said your next to the smokes, at this stage ive been standing there for 10min, he was quit rude when he started to walk of again, i said ill just go else where then, his reply was good just go, so i did, i couldnt see his name badge as it was hanging around his belt, and the letters where unreadable, his people service is completely disgusting,
Have you tried calling the store and asking for a supervisor?
tobacco
Www.coles.com.au website alpine cigarettes 25s carton says it is $129 for 8 packets. Coles Windsor NSW coles Riverview says its $129 for 4 packets per carton. I argued with the cashier and was refused the 8 packets 22nd Novemeber 2017 at 845pm
It was explained that they cant match it as its a tobacco item. I feel this is wrong as its on the website and i should recieve the item as priced on www.coles.com.au no matter which coles venue i attended.
I would like this resolved as soon as possible. As it was a high inconvinience to myself and young family.

check out counter
Paula was her name. She manned one of the many counters at Sunnybank Hills Coles Supermarket on Friday the 24th of November 2017.
Two customers in front of us received neither acknowledgement nor smiles, so we thought perhaps it was due to a fact that they were of Asian background. Then it was our turn. We speak perfect English albeit our background and still, there was no different in service. We thought perhaps she was just having a bad day until she served a customer after us whom she served rather happily and with smile. I understand the word ‘racist' is thrown around easily now a days but that particular word might have fit her perfectly on that occasion. We feel that she HAD to serve us just because... She would probably serve the company better staying in the background (at home) where she does not have to mingle with people from many nationalities and backgrounds. We also understand that there are racists (or bullies or misogynists, etc) in every work place but if they are unable to leave the attitude at home then ...
We are not going to stop shopping at Coles Supermarkets. Our experience has always been great, team members have always been helpful and friendly... but this particular one. Paula was her name.
The Asians never speak are rude agree bad customer service replace with machines better
Common courtesy and manners is a requirement in retail. whether or not discrimination and racism occurred being ignored can be highly offensive.
As long as the word approved appears above the pin pad how people feel has no relevance at Coles.
You don't have any physical proof or evidence that any discrimination or racism occurred. She may have known or recognized the individual behind you.
