This company has falsely submitted a collection account on my credit report
This company has falsely submitted a collection account on my credit report. I demand that it is removed asap. I don't live in *** and actually I have been station overseas as a contractor in *** for over a year so I have no clue how this ended up on my credit report. This has hurt my credit score and I may be hiring a lawyer and suing if this is not removed asap and my credit score better be back to where it was. This has cause me to not be able to buy a car this week. I have filed a dispute but can't wait for over a month to have this removed. I need it removed now so I can finish buying a car.

I received a notice from CBHV dated 2/26/22 (Ref # ***)
I received a notice from CBHV dated 2/26/22 (Ref # ***). I called about it today and was met with an extremely rude and controversial representative. Although I had already resolved this issue with another debt collector (Sunrise) last year and have evidence proving I do not owe the debt in question, she informed me she would not take any of this information and that I had to call the originating company claiming the debt and resolve it directly with them. I'm not sure how other negotiations might be handled by this collector, but this is definitely not the way to succeed in any form of conflict resolution.

I received a collection letter from this company stating that I owed money to Optimum. I have paid my optimum account in full, turned in all cable equipment before I moved and I have a zero balance with Optimum. I have received NO phone calls, NO past due notices from Optimum that would indicate that my closed account was past due. I do not know who this company is and if they are even a valid collection agency. I am shocked that this has happened and I am furious if this is affecting my credit rating. I have called optimum and they checked my account and told me that they see nothing outstanding.
I noticed an inaccurate and alleged debt on my credit report. This should not be reporting and is a violation of my rights as well as a defamation of character. You have not supplied any viable validation of debt! I have no legal obligation to pay you and there is no contract with my signature on it with your company.
On 4/21/22 I was notified about a collections record placed on my credit report
On 4/21/22 I was notified about a collections record placed on my credit report. When checking the report it was from Collection Bureau of Hudson Valley for a creditor called Optimum with an original amount owed of $801 and reduced amount due of $252. I have never done business with Optimum nor have I ever been presented with evidence to advise this debt belongs to me. This company has not attempted to contact me about this debt, nor have they provided proof of this debt being valid. I have filed a dispute with the credit bureau and would like Collection Bureau of Hudson Valley to remove this inquiry from my credit report as this collections record is without merit and appears to be made in error and/or is a scam.

I have looked into a duplicate of my credit report and I have seen a ton of inaccurate/fraudulent on it. What's more as a consumer, I consciously demand that you eliminate these incorrect/deceitful items from my credit report.
I received a collection letter from CBHV for $850 for services I did not receive from a provider I had never heard of.

This collection agency has falsely accused me of being the owner of an account that is not mine and for a service that I have never utilized
This collection agency has falsely accused me of being the owner of an account that is not mine and for a service that I have never utilized. Despite multiple conversations with a member of their agency in the early months of the year indicating that they have the wrong person, the collection agency went ahead and reported a fraudulent account to the credit bureaus, significantly hurting my credit reputation. The collection agency is plainly inefficient and incompetent in its investigation, as there is a fraudulent lock and report on all of my credit reports, yet they have completely ignored all of the risks associated with reporting false information and failing to respond to any requests for verification of the collection amount/service used.

a spam risk number, called me today claiming to be from the Collection Bureau of the Hudson Valley trying to collect a *** from Optimum. I have not used Optimum since I discontinued service in late March and returned equipment in early April. Optimum always texted, emailed, or mailed bills, or you could login to your profile and pay. I always paid weeks ahead of statement due dates. I *** searched the number that called me, and people claim that this number has pretended to be the *** and law enforcement trying to gain collections from people. I reported her number to the *** Upon reviewing this business on Complaintsboard.com's site, they have apparently been sued for using this same scheme before to former customers of Optimum in Brooklyn, trying to steal money from people.

I was contacted by CBHV by phone on 2 occasions
I was contacted by CBHV by phone on 2 occasions. The first time they called I advised that the claim was not correct and insurance information was given to senior care EMS 2 separate times. They advised me to call my insurance company to find out why it wasn't paid. The second time I spoke with someone I Gave the same information and then advised they have not been paid because they never filed a claim. They representative basically said I was lying stating " if they had the insurance Information why wouldn't they submit to get paid. Then told me I needed to contact my insurance company again and call them back. I advised I am disputing charges and I would like proof thT the charges are valid including unpaid claim information. 3 days later I get a credit alert that a collection acct was added to my cr report.
This collection is currently on my credit report because they claim that I owe optimum an amount of over $1000
This collection is currently on my credit report because they claim that I owe optimum an amount of over $1000. I have never received any email or letter or phone call from optimum or this Hudson collection agency regarding any amount owed. By law, I have a right to question the balance and I never received that chance. The collection agency has no right to appear in any way on my credit report since they did not even attempt to contact me in any way regarding the balance they claim I owe. I do not have optimum at all. I have *** Fios. And I have been with *** Fios for quite sometime. The reason being is because optimum had terrible service and if you look through my complaints with optimum, you will see what Im talking about. Bottom line: I want Hudson collection agency removed from my credit report as quickly as possible. Thank you.

This company keeps contacting me about a case file
This company keeps contacting me about a case file. They give me a case number but never give me any information. I do not know what they are collecting on and I don't know of any money I currently owe. They call and say they are trying to serve me papers. I tell them I am home and confirm my address. They have never served me papers. I gave them my email address and the name, phone number and fax of my lawyer. I asked them to send any information they would like me to respond to to me or to my lawyer or both. We have not received any written communication or complaints. They have threatened to contact my family multiple times. Today is January *, and they have been contacting me by text and phone calls since September . I have repeatedly asked them to stop harassing me and threating me with my family. I have asked them repeatedly to send me the complaint they say they have.

I sent this company a letter to validate a debt that I owed according to them
I sent this company a letter to validate a debt that I owed according to them. I sent the letter on Sept , 2020 I gave them 30 days to validate the debt but they never responded. Again I sent another letter on 11--2020 to let then know about the previous letter that I sent which they also did not responded. I never received anything from them no letter, nothing! Under the (FDCPA), I have the right to request validation of the debt they say I owe. Normally they have 30 days to respond if not they have to stop the collections and delete it from my Credit Report and today is 1//2021 that's over 4 months. This is very unprofessional from their company and they are still affecting my Credit Report. I have all my letters and receipts In case I have to take this to small claims court, this is affecting me mentally and I was very generous I waited this long. I am also contacting CFPB about this issue also.

I was told from my insurance company to contact CBHV to give them notice that as a Medicaid recipient for the dates listed on my collection notice I was not responsible for the balance billing of this account. My insurance company is calling tomorrow to get this taken care of. The lady Beth who I spoke to at the number provided did not even hear me out and wouldn't let me speak and ahe hung up on me on 3 different occasions in a 15 minute period. Very unprofessional and rude when I am trying to get something I am not responsible for off my account. I finally asked to speak to a manager which she hung up on me again. I finally searched for a different number and spoke to a different lady and explained my situation and all she said was she has taken down what I said. This company is very rude and disrespectful and as a collection agency they should want to try to help customers trying to dispute their claims. Very very unprofessional behavior from Beth

I am concerned because I haven't looked at my credit in some time until I started receiving suspicious calls from medical debt collectors and credit card stating that I owe them balances I don't recall owning. Doing some research on the computer I read that I should check my personal information for different names and addresses which I did find on my report. I then requested for a fraud alert to be placed on my account. I have been having a hard time with collection bureau of Hudson Valley because they aren't sending me any information that confirms I was the one who acquired it and I want to make sure I can give as much information about how this is happening to the authorities as recommended. I don't know how my information was obtained and how it's being used but the bulk of calls come from Collection Bureau and CMRE Finance. Both companies has not been very helpful in sending me anything that can help me so I assume they don't have any information and are reporting anyways.
On February 24, 2022 I received a letter from the Collection Bureau Of The Hudson Valley, *** for a debt that I do not owe
On February 24, 2022 I received a letter from the Collection Bureau Of The Hudson Valley, *** for a debt that I do not owe . The notice stated that As of November 19, I owed their client *** $74.40. However, my bank records indicate that I made a payment on November 22, 2022 in the amount of $73.40 which is the amount that I was charged at that time. In December I had the service disconnected. On March 8, 2022, I submitted a dispute letter to the Collection Bureau Of The Hudson Valley, *** along with copies of receipts, via their email address as specified in the notice, at *** It is now March 14 and I have not received a response. I have also followed up with written letters to the address given in the notice. I am requesting an investigation into this matter. In good faith pending an investigation, another payment in the amount of $74.40 was made on February 28, 2022. Hence, I have actually overpaid ***. Please see the attached receipts. Therefore, I am also requesting a refund from *** in the amount of $74.40.

I rented an apartment in Yonkers
I rented an apartment in Yonkers. I had *** cable service there. I purchased a home in Millwood, NY in November . I moved out of the Yonkers apartment in November . My *** account was paid up to date. I returned the *** equipment at the Executive Blvd Yonkers *** office and was told the account had no balance. Apparently, a bill was mailed to my old address in Yonkers in December, after I had moved out. *** never contacted me about the bill. *** has my cell phone number (which is the number associated with the account) and email address and could have easily contacted me. I first learned about the bill when CBHV placed a collection on my credit report. They never called or emailed me prior to placing the collection on my credit report either. As soon as I learned about the past due balance, I called *** and paid them (although I am not sure why a bill was sent for service after I had already moved out and returned the cable boxes to ***). Even though the debt has been paid in full, the collection remains on my credit report as an open item. This account should have never gone to collection in the first place. A simple phone call or email from *** or CBHV would have resolved the issue.
On 12/3, I received a notice from CBHV that they were attempting to collect a debt I purportedly owed to a healthcare provider in the amount
On 12/3, I received a notice from CBHV that they were attempting to collect a debt I purportedly owed to a healthcare provider in the amount of $250 - the only such notice I received from CBHV. I tried (unsuccessfully) to obtain proof of the debt from CBHV, but finally, on 12/17 - about 2 weeks after receiving notice of this purported debt, in order to avoid this relatively small amount of money from impacting my credit report, I paid the debt in full via CBHV's online portal. To date, I have received no receipt, no acknowledgement of my payment, nothing; in fact, if I hadn't paid via CC, I wouldn't have ANY proof that the purported debt was paid, or when. Despite the fact that this alleged debt was paid in full and in a timely manner, on 12/29, almost two weeks AFTER I made the payment demanded by this firm, CBHV reported this debt as a collection item to all three major credit bureaus, thereby causing my credit scores to drop by HUNDREDS of points. For the past two days, I have attempted to call CBHV to resolve the issue. They refuse to answer the phone or return my calls. But under NYS law, what CBHV has done to me (and my credit scores) in this case is patently illegal, and I would appreciate the Complaintsboard.com's help to ensure that CBHV complies with NYS law, corrects their error, and *immediatelya) provides me with a receipt for my payment; and b) deletes this collection item from all three of my credit bureau reports. Thank you so much for your help.

I received a *** from Town of *** Amb Cor in the amount of *** several months later I received a notice from a collection agency CAC, I contacted them, got a representative and gave her all the information concerning the PAID *** and thought that was that. Since then, I have been receiving threatening phone calls and a collection notice from COLLECTION BUREAU OF THE HUDSON VALLEY, *** in the amount of $***. The phone calls came from a phone number that was indicated to be from Flushing, *** the notice we received has the number *** we contacted that number to question their collection notice, numbers on the notice refer to the *** call number, but the creditor is Town of Wallkill Vol. Amb Cor. So we questioned the ***, We were told by a rep of Collection Bureau of the Hudson Valley that it could be a "paramedic upcharge" and was hung-up on. Then I contacted Town of Wallkill Vol Amb Cor and they had NO record of this ***, NO record of any Paramedic upcharge from thei Ambulance staffers, and the numbers on the notice did NOT match their numbers. They referred me to their billing company and we found they had no *** either. We were told on another call, from Collection Bureau of the Hudson Valley, when we again questioned their notice, I was told "It's not my problem, pay the ***." and was hung up on again. I called them back got a different rep from Collection Bureau of the Hudson Valley She told me that they have a ***, when I questioned the *** she had and asked her to read the break down of charges she said "well I can't see the ***, but we definitely have one" I told her to send me a copy of the *** that was from the Town of Wallkill Vol Amb Cor showing the breakdown, so I can confirm it with Town of Wallkill. It has been 3 weeks and no *** has been received. We believe they're a scam.
