Coast Professional, Inc. ain't no joke, let me tell ya. I reached out to 'em to ask 'bout my debt situation, tryin' to be all polite and respectful, ya know? But dang, every single person I spoke to had a major attitude problem. I mean, come on now, ain't no need for all that sass when I'm just tryin' to get some info. It's like they don't even care 'bout their customers. Not cool, man. Not cool at all.

They called my personal phone for a debt owed by a doctor I work with. I work with him, not for him. They called my husband's phone too. We have nothing to do with the debt they want to collect. I don't understand why they don't try the doctor's own family. They should stop calling me and my family and call the doctor and his family. It feels like harassment.

We got a letter sayin' our IRS account from 2019 had a balance that was overdue. The letter came in July 2022. It said our account got sent over to Coast Professional, and they gave us a phone number to call (nnn-nnn-nnnn). I tried callin' 'em a bunch of times, but the line was always busy. So, I went online and found a different number (yyy) yyy-yyyy. When I called that number, the person who answered gave me yet another number (zzz zzz-zzzz). I called that number a bunch of times too, but it was always busy. Finally, I called the first number (yyy yyy-yyyy) again. This time, I talked to a different person at the front desk. They transferred my call, but instead of gettin' a collection representative, I got another receptionist. I've been on hold for over an hour now, and I'm still waitin' while I write this complaint.

Coast Professional The company is run poorly and has horrible communication skills

The company is run poorly and has horrible communication skills. I was threatened repeatedly, that if I didn't pay a certain amount, my checks would be garnished. Apparently, Coast Professional took over an outstanding government debt from the Treasury. Once I set up a payment plan, after proving my limited income, the threats of course stopped. They called nonstop when they were trying to make money, but when the payments were received it took everything to try to contact them for answers. After 6-7 months of payments, I was surprised to find out that Coast Professional had given my debt back to the treasury. There was no "heads up" or warning. Fast forward to about a year later, I am attempting to get my payment history summary and they tell me they can't give it to me. At first, the representative tried to convince me they had no record of me or my payments. I was sent away with a dry "We can't help you, call the Treasury". Horrible customer service, with little effort.

If I could give them negative stars, I would give them 1000 negative stars. I am stuck with them during this Loan Rehabilitation program to get out of default status from my student loans. It has been a nightmare. Due to their lack of professionalism, a basic understanding of math, proper leadership, and constant misinformation provided to me have cost me to lose out on multiple homes and an increase in the cost of potential homes, because they keep giving me wrong information regarding my final day on this Loan Rehab program. Every time, that I for proof or something in writing to let me know when my last day will be, their response is "Sorry we don't do that". It is crazy to me that a company that deals with people's money and in the finance world, does not provide the client any proof of what has been said and agreed upon over a phone conversation. These MENTAL MIDGETS provided me with wrong information as to payments and other things, thus causing me to remain another month longer than I should have been in this Loan Rehab program. Horrible company, horrible customer service, horrible management, and mentally challenged people who don't understand the simplicity of simple math. No wonder they work in such a grotesque company.

Coast Professional this company claims to be a COLLECTIONS agency yet they make it very very very difficult to collect

this company claims to be a COLLECTIONS agency yet they make it very very very difficult to collect. I have been trying to get a payment to them for days now. . 1. THERE WEBSITE DOES NOT PROCESS ONLINE PAYMENTS . 2. REFUSE TO GIVE ME PROOF OF PAYMENT RECEIPT OR EMAIL . 3. CANT ACCEPT VISA PAYMENTS . for a company whose job it is to just take a payment , they cant even do that properly... reviews on their page further reiterate my emphasis on their lack of ability to process a simple payment.

Coast Professional I have received 3 collection letters from *** C/O COASTAL PROFESSIONAL, INC

I have received 3 collection letters from *** C/O COASTAL PROFESSIONAL, INC. They claim I owe money to the *, but my account is current. I have disputed the collections via email and I sent them proof that my account has a "zero" balance. They were supposed to provide verification of the debt, per federal law, but instead, they keep sending the same letter. This is so annoying and frustrating. If they keep harassing me or attempt to damage my credit, I am going to be forced to take legal action.

Coast Professional I received a notice of Delinquent Debt Collection from Coast Professional, Inc

I received a notice of Delinquent Debt Collection from Coast Professional, Inc. (with an address in West Monroe, LA- contrary to the registration I looked up). I called them to find out about the debt and they would not explain what type of business they were unless I provided personal information such as my social security #. I simply asked if they were a collection agency as the date is from 2019 and looked suspicious. I also mentioned I was concerned about the legitimacy of the company. She refused to tell me anything except the name.

Coast Professional I enrolled in a payment plan for my student loan debt that was in collections

I enrolled in a payment plan for my student loan debt that was in collections. Signed all the paperwork and got it approved back on 4/20. Ever since, I have been requesting a letter stating that I am enrolled in a payment plan. It’s been 2 weeks in which I have called every single day requesting the letter and they have not sent it. Every time I call they tell me they will fax it by the end of the day, but they don’t. I am in an urgent need of that letter in order to be able to get a mortgage on my first house. I have told them multiple times I really need the letter or else my deal on the house will fall through.

I'm not getting out of default, they even ask my daughter to write a letter she was trying too assist me, that didn't work, I trying to get this to go away, but I can't get this company to cooperate. I need help I don't know what to do this is on my credit report, I can't move, get a car, it making me depress, and stress-out... I want back with department of education.

Coast Professional two years ago my tax return was taken from this company i called the number on my tax return form it was coast professional inc a collection

two years ago my tax return was taken from this company i called the number on my tax return form it was coast professional inc a collection agency they said it was for a hospital bill 6 years ago that was a motorcycle accident that i was bewildered about tramacticly.. I didnt know what to do i was barely working check to check. Now during covid i have severe depression i do work but my hours have been reduced and they again took my return and now they are going to garnish my wages . i am barely surviving on the little income i have. PLEASE help me they have not sent me any paperwork and i dont know what to do i will have to quit my job and live in my truck to survive and ask for help somehow .

Coast Professional I have a defaulted student loan for 6836$

I have a defaulted student loan for 6836$. After they garnished my ssi checks for 140$ for 6 years which roughly adds up to 6140$. The maximum fees they can take legally are 40% of the original loan. Which would be 2400$ roughly on top of 6836$ which should only leave me with maybe 2000$ left to pay. So they instead took 80% of my debt in fees 5000$ out of 6140$ with a 1000$ going to the actual defaulted load. Which is illegal. They have been sued for this in the past, and I am currently seeking legal counsil on the matter. These people are crooks. I am disabled and barely able to scrape by as it is, just to be robbed with very little going to the defaulted loan. They are screwing people who are already in financial trouble with complete disregard for the law and silently without any correspondence to the people regarding fees and how much they take, or what goes to the debt. My advice for anyone in default with them. Seek legal counsil.

Coast Professional Today is May 17th I received a call back in March and was told that I owed money to the treasury foe the rail road

Today is May 17th I received a call back in March and was told that I owed money to the treasury foe the rail road. When speaking with the young lady I explained to her that I didn’t have the money in full and would like to be out in a payment plan. She advised me that a payment plan could only be excepted if I came up with a upfront fee of $1200-$1400 before starting a payment plan. I received a call today May 17th from Coast Professional Inc to advise me that my job has been sent a wage garnishment if I don’t pay the full amount of $5000. I have placed a call to the railroad to find out the exact amount owed to them to see not only if the amount is correct but also seeking legal action as I was not offered a payment plan without coming up with a large amount up front. The nasty unprofessional young lady that I spoke with transferred me to her supervisor after asking for the third time to speak to her supervisor Matthew H.

Coast Professional Coast contacted in June about a *** debt that I've been fighting for five years

Coast contacted in June about a *** debt that I've been fighting for five years. The *** had initiated wage garnishment in February but it had not been processed by my company payroll before the March shutdown. When I returned rol work the garnishment was active. When Coast approached me by phone again I made them aware of this and that I would prefer a payment plan versus the garnishment. They promised a stop order and an opportunity to setup payments. After four weeks and my corporate HR Director reaching out no stop order had been received. The day before Coast's deadline I spoke with a rep and "manager" that said extending my deadline until my corporate received ther stop order was no problem. They apparently understood in this pandemic, I couldn't afford double payments toward this debt. However Coast initiated a new garnishment order the very next day giving me zero opportunity to enter a voluntary payment plan. They only stopped three *** order to add their company and get the kickback money for themselves.

Coast Professional Received a couple letters in the mail from Coast Inc

Received a couple letters in the mail from Coast Inc. for a company called *** at my address. I am not affiliated with this company, but I have also received letters from the IRS for ***. I have contacted the IRS and resolved this on their end. As far as Coast goes, I wanted to rectify this situation immediately, as I do not want an IRS collection account being associated with me or my address. To my disbelief, when I called to get me off their mailing list, I was told by a representative of Coast to OPEN THE ENVELOPE THAT IS NOT ADDRESSED TO ME to get an account number. That is a FELONY! When I said I couldn't do that, she became combative with me and refused to help remedy this situation whatsoever before hanging up the phone. I want my address completely removed from your list and no longer associated with ***. I am not, nor have I ever been, a representative of this company, and I have lived at this address for THREE years. The people you're looking for are long gone, and your process is less than helpful.

Coast Professional I'm a US citizen living in Japan

I'm a US citizen living in Japan. I've been in Japan, without going back to the USA, since 2018 September. I've been having trouble paying my student loans back, because the banking system in Japan is hard to manage, to say the least, and I haven't been able to send much money back. However, I've been trying to pay what I can out of my US account. Unbeknownst to me, I had a second loan with my school, the *** not consolidated with the loans being collected by ***. I didn't even know I had the loan, and *** sold the loan to ***, who without informing me then sold the lone to a loan collection company called Coast Professional. They've been charging my US account through the pandemic, and defaulted my student loans causing my credit score to plummet. I tried to email them, but they won't respond to me. When I try to access there site, it always crashes. I've tried many times this week to the same effect. I also can't call them because of the 16 hour time difference. This means I'm defaulting on loans I didn't know I had with no method currently to repay them. I think the loans are about ~$4400, which I could repay in full today if I could transfer money out of my Japanese account to my US Bank account, but I'm still having trouble on that front. I'd like an invoice or something from Coast Professional with how much they say I owe, how I can pay back the loans, and an assurance of a receipt of payment. Any help you can give me would be most appreciated.

Coast Professional Yesterday on 7/17 at 7:39am I spoke to a Tina and Higher up Megan who told me my account was no longer with them

Yesterday on 7/17 at 7:39am I spoke to a Tina and Higher up Megan who told me my account was no longer with them. They provided me a number to call to of . Crazy part I only called in to make my payment but since my account was no longer with them. I was heated ask where my money is going to since I can’t make a payment now. They couldn’t tell me anything. I ask for a reference number for the call from Tina and higher up Megan they don’t give those but call is recorded. Next day I call the school to figure it out and I called Coast again Now at 10am on 8/18 they have my account. I was like wow so now you have my account then why Tina and Megan said it’s no longer there the account don’t exist. They couldn’t give me an answer. None just wanted the missed payment that I tried paying yesterday. They even told me that Megan and Tina don’t exist yet I provided my information and I dialed the right number listed on the paper of . They let me speak to another higher up of Russell who didn’t care what happen poor training if you ask me. Put yourself in someone shoes who might have gotten identity stolen from reps they say don’t work for them. Anyways I asked to speak to his higher up since all he was worried bout was making a payment. Again no reference number to give me for the call. This hasn’t been resolved and I don’t feel safe paying them at all or giving them more information anymore to them since they aren’t professionals yet the call is recorded. I have every right to be mad.

Coast Professional I am a Camp Fire (Paradise, CA) survivor who lost housing following the fire disaster that destroyed my entire town

I am a Camp Fire (Paradise, CA) survivor who lost housing following the fire disaster that destroyed my entire town. I received rental assistance from FEMA that covered my interim housing until I found permanent housing. FEMA notified me that I would receive Continued Temporary Housing Assistance of $4,218 by letter dated March 19. FEMA then notified me by letter dated April 23 that I may not be eligible for that payment but no explanation was provided. I called FEMA and was informed by a representative in the finance department that I owed $1,624. That same day, May 31, I submitted a letter to FEMA with a check for $1,624. The check was returned by letter dated February 3 from the Department of the Treasury. FEMA has been trying to collect money from me for nine months and I have yet to receive an explanation from FEMA or their debt collectors despite four letters to them and their debt collectors that I shared with Coast. Coast did not respond after I sent them a letter via fax and certified mail with return receipt. On February 12, my legal aid attorney wrote to Debt Management Servicing Center, Bureau of the Fiscal Service (“Bureau”), and FEMA after I received a notice that I owe an overpayment to FEMA from the Camp Fire. I did not receive a response, but the Bureau sent me a letter dated March 3 advising me that Treasury will withhold up to 15 percent of my monthly Social Security benefits beginning in April. We wrote to the Bureau again on March 11 requesting that the Bureau stop all collection efforts until it provides written verification, including the dates for which FEMA claims I should not have received rental assistance and the reasons why. It is not clear from previous correspondence or notices why FEMA claims I was overpaid. Again, we did not receive a response. We sent both letters with tracking and the Bureau received them. In my previous letters, I also requested that FEMA consider compromising the alleged debt, or at least eliminate any accrued interest. I told them I am an older adult, my only source of income is Social Security retirement benefits, and repaying the debt would affect my ability to pay for my necessary living expenses. I did not receive a response. We then sent another letter dated October 27 to the Bureau, again with tracking, seeking written verification of the alleged debt. Again, the Bureau did not respond. Instead, on October 27, the Bureau retained Coast and they sent a collections letter to me falsely claiming that I have not responded to previous attempts to voluntarily resolve the debt. The letter threatens involuntary collections methods by the Department of Justice or wage garnishment. I sent a letter dated November 4 that I know Coast received as I sent it with tracking and by fax. I again asked for verification of the debt and I sent them copies of all of the previous letters. Coast did not respond but instead took $225 from my SSA check.
