In 3 months, I have seen my water/sewer bill rise from $90.00 to $168.00 to $258.00
I live by myself so I know how much water get's used.
I have complained multiple times about them to my building manager, and to them in person and no one has done anything. I was gone for two weeks during the $258.00 month so I know they are screwing me.
I would avoid these guys at all costs.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

I do agree as I see the utility bill is growing every month now, more specifically charge on the sewer doubles up every month. I am in Austin, TX. Any Austiners out there, please comment if you are having issue with Conservice billing.

Yes I am having huge issues with ConService in Austin. I live alone, and my "usage" jumped from 5k to 19k in one month. $50-60.00/month, to $225.00.
The thing I find that has to be illegal is that my landlord (Alexan) will not accept your rent without your water bill. They send an eviction notice if you try to pay rent only while you work out your water. so I have paid over 200.00 per month for years, with no attempt at restiituion by anyone. It is robbery.
This is not true of any other utility - how are they allowed to tie up your rent with a utility that is clearly being billed in error? I am ready to go to the news . . . I don't know what else to do.

I agree. I moved back to the same apartment complex nine years later after owning a home thinking I'll save money by renting. Then I got the conservice bill. Yikes! Didn't see that coming nor have I budgeted for it. I used to just pay water when I lived here and it was never more than $50. Conservice has charged me $150. The girl in the office was acting really nervous about discussing this with me. Something fishy here.
Conservice is ridiculous. I say we get Gephart. I’ve gone from $30 to $70 in a matter of months. They are charge tenants way to much. I live alone, but because I live in a two bedroom I pay more. My complex has got to find a new company.
I live in College Station, and I just received a "2 cycle delay" bill from these guys and I am furious. Been paying utilities along with rent every first of the month during my lease with my apartment complex, and then I get this bill? I'm really looking into filing a claim against them for overcharging and fraudulent billing.
I live in a very small studio in Phoenix and I am having the EXACT same problem since this company took over. My water was originally included in lease and was $38, however after switching to this company my water bill is now divided up between the building and it's now $60-81 I'm gone all day at work no washer and have never used my dishwasher...I'm a single mom and this is just too much for me, and on top of that the apartments are now going to also be charging a "common area bill" which means they will add an additional bill monthly for all the outdoor lights, pool lights, and parking lot lights...why is this now our responsibility!?! Something needs to be done but I don't know where to start.
I am wanting to take this all the way! We need a nationwide class action suit. There is already a FL class action against CON-Service ( their name says it all ). Hi my apt. complex CB Lofts, Ram Properties, started using conservice 2 months ago and my sewage bill alone under conservice is more than my water /sewage combined under APEX Billing. I live in an 1 bedroom apt., nothing has changed with my living situation that could account for this drastic increase outside of the billing company. Not only that, we are now being charged$6.56 for water base, $6.56 for sewage, and $6 service fee. I work for an attorney who is looking into a class action lawsuit here in GA. I created an email address for anyone who would like to be a party in the Class Action, the email address I created for this purpose is ConserviceClassActionSuit2019@yahoo.com I also feel like my apt. complex CB Lofts, managed by Ram Properties are allowing this company to bill this way because it increases their revenue.
I am. This "company" needs to be put out of business. Why is it even necessary? It isn't. Utilities are more than capable of sending their own bills out to customers where it can be based on that customer's actual usage, which is the only fair option. Like, why should I pay more for the apartment downstairs with 20 people in it when I live alone?

I know I am ready! My water bill went from $16 to $232 and back down to $25, where it should have been! It was only me living in this home; used the dishwasher once a week and washed clothes every 2 weeks...makes no sense!

I have a huge problem with Con services from Idaho and Utah. Vista del Valle facility forced me to sign a Lease on 27th January last year. My new Lease was about to start from 1st March 2021. Leasing office gave a Lease for $850 per month. Nothing was listed for extra utility charges that I was paying $30 every month. When I asked Landlord Assistant; she screamed at me "NOT to QUESTION HER !" On 17th &19th of May; I received the Bill's from Idaho's and Utah's Con services to pay from $ 1144 to close 1600 dollars extra. On 3rd of May I paid direct WHIPS deposit $ 850. Every month I am getting bills from Idaho's Con utility charges "ALWAYS DIFFERENT AMOUNTS.
This month I even didn't receive anything. On 28th I call them to check how much I need to pay for February.
Same FRAUD is now for my new Lease. No Memorandum (with all listing of monthly charges)that's Mandatory ; to be given to Tenants 90 days prior signing a new Lease. I reported them to Attorney general Offices in Idaho &Utah. If you can help please contact me immediately [protected]. The heavy fluctuations in price is absolutely ridiculous! I use only two lamps with two economical lightbulbs each, my one tv a toaster oven and sometimes my radio and it goes between $32 and sometimes as high as $75 but five years ago it spiked to $230 a month and I nearly got evicted by this fake number they’ve stuck me with. I paid the bill still but no higher than $60 just to prove I do pay my bills but the bill kept getting bigger and bigger plus the late fees added.
Only when I had that one efficient manager in charge who fought the operator and the bill and wrangled my bill back to the $32-$75 a month fluctuations was when we won a battle. She was not the one who set up the contract with conservice (an incompetent previous manager did that fatal error) so she and later management of my building do not know how to break their ties. One of the past managers sent my information directly to PG&E but she apparently did not know how to drop and stop them from billing me twice! We have all got get together to shut them down for good !
Very interested in a class action lawsuit. This company needs to be exposed and held accountable.
CONService engages in fraudulent, illegal billing practices. They overestimate usage. They say individual meters work yet "we can't get a read." Read the reviews on BBB and elsewhere. CONService's answer is often "must be a maintenance issue." No, the issue is CONService and its corrupt billing practices and duplicitous "customer service." Hundreds/thousands of complaints online can't be wrong. CONService is wrong and one day will pay.
totally agree with this... what a scam. When i asked my apt management company about this "Vacant service fee". They said i need to put the utility bill in my name. I asked them why they had never told me about this - it;s been well over a year - they said they have nothing to do with it. YET when i pestered them some more THE management company was able to take it off my bill. BUT then it showed up on two further bills even after i was getting my PSEG and National grid bills direct. Plus Conservice even had charged a fee for water bill as well. What a scam. That being said i am going to have my lawyer look into this further. Meantime I am on hold 30+ min waiting for a customer rep to speak with!

I am also interested in a class action. Other people in my building pay $15 for water and my bill floats around $60. I believe they are scamming people and practicing unsafe billing practices. And because they automatically add it into our rent charges, we don’t have much time to dispute before needing to pay additional charges. It’s all a scam and they know it. They start low and consistently increase so likelihood of noticing is low. The cost of water hasn’t gone up so I’m not sure why this company which only provides water measurement tools/utility bill splitting/management has so much control.
This company needs to be cancelled right away and held accountable for their billing practices. I’m going to make a real effort to make their life hell. Shame a company as large as them are getting away with fraud at a time like this. SMH.
I would like to start a class action lawsuit or get in on the lawsuit. I am pissed! I live alone and Conservice decided to overcharge me on my water/sewage bill. I live alone and this company is ripping off people around my apartment complex. I have talked to quite a few neighbors. One elderly couple, alone, was charged $267.00 one month for water and sewage!

Same thing wit me. I live in a 4 unit building by myself and there are a total of 13 people in the other 3 units. My water bill has doubled since the June 1st billing and I called the water company who told me they haven't increased charges since November of 2020. Of course you can't get anyone on the phone at Conservice. I'm happy to join in a class action lawsuit against these con artists

Then in addition to that this past month during this Ice storm in Gerogia during Christmas my usage shot up for 4 days almost 10x and of course went back down. My bill was $350 in December. Absolutely outrageous

I tried calling the past few days and no one answers. Do I contact the better business bureau if I can not get this resolved? It's only the water on the bill going up. Thanks for any advice.
We are in Vegas and are dealing with the same issues. For 2 people in the apartment our water bill is $60 a month and that doesn't include the trash, sewer, and common area fees. Tell us where to sign up on the class action lawsuit.

I live in DC and live in a building which is part of a “residential management group”. It has a presence in all major markets, named Equity Residential. As this eviction moratorium is ending we’re having to include our utilities. Electricity and internet are easy. When I first moved in I opened up a Gas account in my name. Then Equity moved in under the Concervice umbrella - adding a fee if $50/month. The trash is $27/ month with more than 100 residents. Sewer is sky high and not related to water charges. I can’t get my individual account numbers from the sewer gas water and trash utilities. As the gas is now under my apartment group, I’m not allowed to even get the account number. I won’t be reimbursed for any of this overcharge if I can’t produce the account numbers and their relation to me! I am definitely interested in being part of a class action law suit. How to we get this together?
I live in student housing and have had overage fees that make no sense for the past two months. Roommates lived here for over a year before I moved in and never had this happen, and I had never had it happen since I moved in in February until these past two months. Customer service told me they cant break down what specifically caused the overage fee, as I said we haven't changed our use. Really frustrating, company seems very scammy.

Just moved to an apartment in Henderson NV. Already having issues with billing and mystery fees. I was told there's a $25 activation fee for the service then see a 5.25 processing fee on my bill plus being charged for fathom common area electricity which is NOT in my lease.
I am conducting investigation and if they refuse to disclose how I am being billed I am going to start the class action lawsuit. Stay tuned.

probably a scam. my sewer charges per month over the last 7 months have never exceeded the amount of $40 and this month is $65? 25$ increase. my husband and i are literally only home to sleep, shower & eat. yes i realize 65$ isn’t a lot, but it’s when something is consistent for so long and then a 20$ jump comes, it doesn’t seem right. might i add to how much we’re never home and conservative about everything my energy bill has never been more than 40$ a month, so how the hell is sewer more than that?
First had them at 4200 US highway 80 mesquite Texas and my water bill doubled... all our apartment complexes.. just expected it at my other apartment and again on the third one but for example, my rent is 1339 a month I do have a washer and dryer two people in the one bedroom apartment and 1430 was my recent amount to pay when you tacked on the water and fees. Now I am in Coppell Texas. Second apartment was in Dallas Texas, Chatham Court. I think there's a kick back to the apartment communities why they keep using these people and that's what I wonder if it's legal.
My water bill is in the 40-$50 range each month for a 3 bedroom ( 1 room being for a baby) and now all the sudden my bill went up to $170 and had stayed between $140-170! The complex came out… said no leaks. Says we need to pay $250 for CONservice come out and check the meter etc… they only cover that cost if something is actually wrong which I’m guessing it’s not since maintenance has checked I think these people are just CONNING people out of money and it’s like complaining does nothing

My bill has gone from $85 to now $106.. I see they added service charges and now and association fee of almost $10 which has never been charged in the last 2 yrs I’ve been in my apartment. No explanation on what the association fee is for and not even communication that it would now be added to my bill.

Conservice is a very shady company. They act very unethically, and they don't care.
These bills are about 310-400% more than the actual bill. I called the water company and asked for the exact bills.
I was billed:
1: $101.36 (water) + $13.74 (sewer) for 6 days / roughly 310% higher
2: $720.21 (water) + $59.86 (sewer) 1 month / roughly 400% higher
3: $672.04 (water) + $59.86 (sewer) 1 month / roughly 330% higher
Actual Bill:
1: $23.17 (water/sewer)
2: $145.12 (water/sewer)
3: $157.41 (water/sewer)
They are scammers as I have been fighting this for the last 3-4 months. The management company credited me once so far, but they still owe me, as I will not pay these bills.

I live in student roommate apartments and my utility bill is always less than $50 plus I am supposed to get a cap off of my bill as allowance which is $20. I’ve been paying this for over a year now then all of a sudden I get a charge of $116 in utility bill plus a $58 utility charge with no cap of $20 off? How the F&;$ is this logical? When overviewing my meter usage you can literally see a huge spike out of nowhere on my account. This is obvious that something happened with the meter. Mind you I’m not the only one in the apartment who has experienced this spike. Others in my student complex has a huge charge as well. I’ve talked with management and with Conservice about this and they both are sending me back and forth. All I’m asking is for this charge to be removed IMMEDIATELY! AS IT IS NOT ACCURATE! What is the issue? Fraud management and a scammer utility bill company working together I mean what a perfect duo. Im a college student who has other issues to worry about other than getting ripped off from a team of con artists who think they are about to get over on me.

My bill was being estimated for 9 months because new digital meters were installed and wasn't reading until 9 months later when I got this huge bill. I complained to them and they said it was underestimated each month, but I combined to my apartment complex managers that it was still too high, eventhough Conservice said it was reading correctly. One of the apartment managers asked if I wanted my meter checked. When a maintenance guy came and checked the meter, he confirmed that the meter was reading and charging me 5 gallons for every gallon I used! I finally got my meter replaced a week ago and it was checked on the spot. Conservice argued that it was reading correctly until it was checked, and when I emailed the Conservice agent back and told her she was wrong and failed miserably at her job by arguing with me and that it would be too much to expect an apology, I never heard back. They are flat out crooks! And they would've been more than happy to keep the extra money had I not made such a big deal about it. They just tried telling my apartment manager the meter was reading correctly for November, when it wasn't until November 22 that it was discovered the meter was incorrectly reading 5 gallons for every 1 gallon used! WTF!? Class action lawsuit please!

I rent a 1-bedroom apartment in Fairfax, VA. Starting August of 2022 ( 6 consecutive months to-date ), I've seen both my sewer and water bill from Conservice Utility more than QUADRUPLED! I have been fighting with both the renter mgmt and Conservice for 6 months and they finally agreed to send a technician over to investigate. He said my unit's water sub-meter was broken and replaced it with a new one. Guess what, after the replacement, my latest monthly bill now climbs WAY past the quadrupled marks for both sewer and water charges! I'm all for a class-action lawsuit against Conservice. It certainly looks like it truly provides "Cons" services!

I live in Clayton North Carolina (outside of Raleigh). I pay all my own utility bills - have proof for all. Conservice is trying to collect a fraudulent charge for trash each month. I have contacted BBB - heading to Public Utility Commission. Wondering if there are any Class Action Lawsuits around. Im seriously considering hiring an attorney. This company should not be in business and these large rental companies are as much at fault for using them.
I agree. Conservice has been in a class action lawsuit. Ben Carney is the lawyer that was over it. Conservice lost. They need to be sued in every state. No one needs a middle for their utility bill and that includes a landlord. It stops people from receiving Leap help on their bill. It's only once a year but it helps.
Folks I'm here to tell you that I have just discovered myself some craziness that I'm still unfolding and wrapping my head around but I'm here to let you know that con service is run by hackers and computer geniuses I've just uncovered my wife putting me through the ringer and trying to set me up for all kinds of s*** it hasn't unfolded yet but she's trying to get me on tax fraud and all kinds of s*** and then as I going through her 25 years of journaling I think it's just her messy mind riding all these bills out and working out bills and finances and money everywhere and then I find hacker s*** with Trojans and bots and etc etc then I see this car service charge and I'm thinking that it's like a package that she's paying for data monitoring well come to find out look at all this stuff I'm seeing about car service and then what do you know my wife and her hacker b******* who's hiding money and setting me up for fraud and then most importantly if you're paying for concerts to work out your utility bills why the f*** are you writing out on your utilities and trying to work it out by hand... I live in El Cajon, CA They have been ripping us off for years, I have proved the conservice that 3 of the meters blatantly states water irrigation system and they are still charging the tenants for them. The breakdown they sent us is for a 2 months bill cycles. In a 2 months time frame it was 98 dollars between the two months and it took 5 years just to get them to send over the full bill even though the apartment complex owners has given permission for them to do so. Keep in mind I have also been given permission from the complex owner to get a copy of all bills and yet still have no received them all. When I was given the gas bill copy it took longer and I was sent and email that they have been conveniently billing us wrongly and all of us at the complex got a credit for a year of wrongful billing. But back to the water bill. The way they bill the water here is they take the water meters add them all up. Then they take 5% off for common areas keep in mind we are not supposed to be charged for the irrigation systems. Then based on tenancy they get the occupancy number then they take the occupancy number divided by the overall total which gives you the amount each person pays and then based on the amount of tenants in your apartment is what you are charged. So my apartment is two tenants so we are charged 1.6%. but yet again conservice wouldn't help me with any numbers so I had to go backwards with my math. Since they sent over a 2 months bill I did the two months together but then the occupancy number was so low and it would mean only 1 person for apartment lived here which considering I have a roommate I knew it was wrong. But conveniently if you only did it for 1 months it worked perfectly. So conservice is pocketing our money every other month. But when approached with this they do nothing. I just get an email saying you are charged right if you have concerns please email us. Whil I am emailing them and I just have to start the process all over again. My apartment complex company is super helpful and the water district helps where they legally can do the only company not helping is conservice. Soooo not slandering but maybe they will answer it this way.
