Conservice Utility Management & Billing Failing to update billing address and adding late fees

I have been a good customer of CONservice for over 15 years - even from when they were known as “Waterwatch” Their billing practices have always been shady with my bills being inconsistent and receiving high bills even when I wasn’t home for several weeks. I moved and rented my condo (where the water service is) September 2021. Conservice was notified but failed to update the billing address. For several months I paid my bill online and also repeatedly requested the billing address be updated. They failed to update the billing address. I didn’t receive any bills so I called CONservice to find that my bills were being returned to them and that I received several months in late fees. After being told by the rep they would return said late fees I was suddenly told “no” by the supervisor because they returned late fees on a previous bill. I reminded them yes - but that’s because CONservice never updated my address and I never received a bill and CONservice agreed I should not receive late fees due to their mistake! Now I have $35.00 in late fees - even though they agreed months ago that it was not my fault that I did not receive bills and therefore I am not responsible for late fees. The seven dollar late fee each month is higher than my bill!

I want all late fees removed on my bill because CONservice:

1) never updated my address on multiple occasions when I requested and therefore I never receive d bills

2) failed to notify me when they knew my bills were being returned to them

3) Agreed in the past that it was not my fault bills sent to wrong address and had removed late fees because it was not my fault (set precedent)

Desired outcome: I want all late fees removed on my bill

Conservice Utility Management & Billing Water & Sewer

My water/ sewer bill has always been about $50. I've been living in my townhouse for 3 years now. All of a sudden, for the month of November my bill is now $270. No explanation or warning.

I called and they told me they were not receiving accurate readings from the meter. So they billed me for every month prior that was inaccurate I'm assuming.

I asked how could they could assist me with this issue due to their mistake. They said they don't do payment arrangements (which I've seen on the website they "offer" it) and they won't reduce or credit any charges.

So I asked again how can they assist me get my account back on track as I did not budget to pay 5 times my usual bill. The representative told me that I could be sure that they would use accurate readings in the future.

This response shocked me because that's their responsibility as a company.

Desired outcome: Reduced charges or credit

My next month bill was just as high. I've live in this complex for 3 years and have never had a water bill this high.

Conservice Utility Management & Billing Overcharged

I've lived in the apartment complex for 2 years. For the last 6 months before my lease ends I notice my water bill is extremally high. It went from and average of 2,000 gallons a month to 25,000 gallons a month! I reached out to CONSERVICE and they refer me to the complex manager. Well my manger reached out to them and they say told her they can not change it because its not her account and that the account holder would have to reach out. Long story short is they continuously keep telling us the same thing and will not work with us. Our bill is now over $650 because I refuse to pay it until it is resolved and they will not fit it or help you in anyway. Terrible Company and I am glad I never have to work with them again.

Desired outcome: I'd like for them to fix my bill.

Conservice Utility Management & Billing Utilities

I am so thankful I found this page and I’m not the only one that’s being overcharged. I mean it’s terrible we’re being overcharged I would like to join any JOINT FILING against them IN COURT. And I will never rent or lease another property that has this CONServ ‘NOT’ UTILITY EXPERT’ company manage PERIOD. Too late to resolve anything with me I just want everyone to know how unethically these people do business, so any property complexes don’t you dare have them handle your water and sewer and utilities I’ll make sure to let everyone now

Desired outcome: CONSUMER REPORTS needs to hear about this I ALSO have a helpful very interested contact with (TWO actually) w COSTA MESA WATER I am appalled I would like a refund, and I would like them out of business.

I've been overcharged the last two months. I've lived in this complex for 3 years. My water bill has always averaged $50 now it's close to $300. It's insane. Customer service is not helpful at all.

Let me know if there's anything I can do to help make this right

Conservice Utility Management & Billing Water

My water has been disconnected with no notice for over 24 hours and I am unable to reach someone to resolve this issue. A lock was placed on the water. Our bill is current and has never been late. This is absolutely ridiculous! I am 9 months pregnant with two small children and there is no reason our water should be disconnected and no one has reached out to fix this! I am LIVID!

Conservice Utility Management & Billing Utility

Conservice has been billing me for trash service even though the garbage vendor no longer service my area. I spoke with a representative and the manager of the former garbage vendor. They asked for the amounts of the bills I sent back as gas 6 months and have the amount for each month. I was informed they don’t show any of those amounts for the given months. They stayed my account has been closed for several months and I have a credit of $96.07. I have been calling and dealing with this issue with conservice and suggested they do a conference call with the vendor and that will resolve the issue . However, they have not and will not resolve this issue. I have a garbage vendor in which I set up services myself and already paid quarterly . They refuse to take simple steps to resolve this issue

Desired outcome: Give me money back that I’m due plus some for the stress this has caused

Conservice Utility Management & Billing Water Bill

My neighbors and myself have been being overcharged for water and sewage for about three months now. My water and sewage bill went from being under fifty dollars a month to over 250 for water and 250 for sewage. There was only one person home all summer so how is this so! I’m not sure why I’m being overcharged especially during a already hard economic time. I’m a single mom of three and I live in income restricted housing. I don’t know how they are getting away with this!

Desired outcome: Reimbursement of all over charged fees. A normal water and sewage bill.

Conservice Utility Management & Billing Water and sewage bill

I live in a 1,300 square ft home with my son. We are away from home all day. I do not have a washer or dryer and run the dishwasher once a month. My water bill is $80 and sewage $120. This is outrageous! I want this outrageous price scamming corrected and ended. I moved in July 2, 2022 and this bill is for July 22, 2022 to August 22, 2022. My previous bill was $50 for water and $89 sewage for just 21 days. This must be stopped.

Desired outcome: Reduce bill for remainder of my lease terms.

Conservice Utility Management & Billing Conservice Electricity overcharge

From August 1, 2022 to August 31, 2022, I was charged $146 for my bill, this was all mainly from electricity. My roommate, who was supposed to move out, had been staying there for the first two weeks of the month. I still currently reside in the apartment, it's a four bedroom apartment reference. I was barely home during those first two weeks, because I was working full time hours. I called a conservice representative and they didn't help in the slightest, they kept trying to talk me down and say I should just pay the bill, however I clearly stated that I didn't understand why it was high and wanted to know why... still never answered my question and told me to have a nice day and hung up. My current roommates shared their bill statement with me, their's was dated August 14, 2022 to August 31, 2022, and their bill was $40. Their bill was $100 dollars less than mine... I'm disappointed in conservice, I've been overcharged, I'm a full time college student working part-time, I don't have these funds.

Desired outcome: I would appreciate if the bill could at least be cut in half, no one explained the reason of the high electric bill to me and I was treated poorly by your representatives. I would love a response so I know that I've been acknowledged.

Conservice Utility Management & Billing Water and sewer fees on Conservice bill for Edge Apts, San Marcos,Texas

Utilities bill for 10/1/2022, Unit 333

My daughter's water bill is $46.90, and sewer fee is $38.18 utility bill this month for a total of $85.08. There are 3 other roommates for a total of $340.32. And that's just water and sewer fees. Her roommates were not even home this summer during this billing cycle.

This is just the worst of all the bills, over this last year they have all been similar.

Two questions:

1. Can you tell me what agency has oversight over your practices on sewer and water fees?

2. How can the 4 bdr unit have a $340.32 sewer and water fee, when there was only one resident there all summer?

Providing the unit and address so you can see the actual bill.

Conservice Utility Management & Billing Overcharged In Utility Bill

I live in student roommate apartments and my utility bill is always less than $50 plus I am supposed to get a cap off of my bill as allowance which is $20. I’ve been paying this for over a year now then all of a sudden I get a charge of $116 in utility bill plus a $58 utility charge with no cap of $20 off? How the F&;$ is this logical? When overviewing my meter usage you can literally see a huge spike out of nowhere on my account. This is obvious that something happened with the meter. Mind you I’m not the only one in the apartment who has experienced this spike. Others in my student complex has a huge charge as well. I’ve talked with management and with Conservice about this and they both are sending me back and forth. All I’m asking is for this charge to be removed IMMEDIATELY! AS IT IS NOT ACCURATE! What is the issue? Fraud management and a scammer utility bill company working together I mean what a perfect duo. Im a college student who has other issues to worry about other than getting ripped off from a team of con artists who think they are about to get over on me.

Desired outcome: I WANT THE CHARGE REMOVED FROM MY ACCOUNT IMMEDIATELY

Conservice Utility Management & Billing Over Bill - Fraud Utility Company

This bill is non-reasonable and ridiclious. I only use around $15 for Water,Sewer per meter as total, But I been charge 64.18, over bill 50.68 for Sewer and Water base fee? How this base calculate? Just make up From Your(Conservice) Stupid Mind? Please improve yourself. It is not the first time you got a lawsuit regard over-billing, it is not acceptable. How does a business like this not get aduiting?

Shame on this business! Still charge a convenience fee even if enrolled auto--pay. The term on wensite says not extra fee only if the transcation was not sucessful. What a Fraud! NO CREDIT! Lier!

Undue fees, unexplained bills, repeat billing, broke meters, no techical or csr supprot, wv city of morgantown was interested in investigating however no company response came to me nor did the city get back to me. tax ids and the corporate structure leave no one accountable and i presume they have been robbing these kids for years. the aptcompnay used rent money to pay them as well then charged me late fees for bills delivered 90 days late. very scamy. its looks like a tax haven for the arkansas, utah, texas ctime syndicates, the whole complex was publically russian controlled until last winter now we dont know who hamilton point really is or why they are billing for conservice, the header list thier email account as the source. ongoing, they have successfully extorted about 400 dollars this past year for services or fees they refused to reconcile.

Desired outcome: put these criminals behind bars , get my 400 reapplied to my rent like the checks designated them.

My bill is normally at a rate of $35 for sewer and water combined this particular bill is almost $90 I have complained about this to the office and I was told that I'm paying for the pool drainage as well as feeling the pull up. And we are also paying to irrigate the community lawn known as the sprinklers that is not fair I should not have to pay for the community pool water and the sprinklers

Desired outcome: I would like an explanation as to why my bill jumped significantly from $35 to $90 and I would also like my bill to be adjusted back to what I am used to paying which is $35

Conservice Utility Management & Billing Water/sewer bills keep increasing

We moved into our apartment March 2022. Have never received a bill or log in info for our account to check the charges. We pay blindly each month. Never receive confirmation of payment, no emails, nothing from Conservice. Our bill steadily increases every month & now they added another “fee”. I’ve never had to pay over $100 for water & sewer. See below for monthly increases:

April- $65.35

May- $90.04 ($30 increase?)

June- $91.67

July- $100.92

We live in a 3 bedroom apartment, 3 of us. We never run the dishwasher, laundry is done every 2 weeks on Saturdays only, quick showers which aren’t everyday PLUS we were all on vacation for 14 days in July so how is our bill $100.92? This is a scam and unfair to customers. This needs to be fixed or I’ll make a complaint to corporate, BBB and anywhere else that matters. The water bill is almost the same as our electric bill, not okay. Property manager does nothing to help when I mentioned the large increase in our bill. All my years of apartment living, the “average” bill was approximately $60-$70.

Desired outcome: I want a bill sent every month. Desired outcome would be an acceptable monthly charge (not $100). Also, someone should come check the water system cause there’s clearly something wrong. Or we’re just being ripped off. Please fix this

Had a 1 year lease at apartment complex. Paid all utilities on time . Received our final statement and paid it ( first pic). You can see it states final bill and it for 3 months . Paid it on time. Now that we have moved out we have received a large bill .(2nd pic) By reading reviews this seem to be a common problem. This needs to be investigated as it seems their is some scamming. 3rd pic is also from Universoty crossing in June stating we were receiving out final bill and it would be the 3 months final bill charge. Someone please help with this!

Desired outcome: Company investigated for waiting until end of lease to add large “missed” charges to their bill

Conservice Utility Management & Billing Double billing

My bill has always been around $400 a month and now this months it is over $800. It is not due to excess usage, rather, conservice is billing me for two months at a time. I am not pleased that the company would expect me to pay double to amount for utilities when I have always paid their bills on time (early even). If they are behind on their billing, that should not be put on my shoulders.

Desired outcome: reduce bill so that I am only paying one month.

Conservice Utility Management & Billing Conservice utilities unduly excessive last billing charges.

we rented at 1032 W remington Dr #3-04 for around 4.5 years, been on conservice utilities autopay for monthly bill till july 4, 2022, i moved the family out july 1, 2 weeks ahead of our official move out date of july 10, and by july 13 conservice sent me additional $358.96 dollars last bill? Conservice Utilities customer service confirmed we auto-payed religiously our monthly bills but said our last bill contains 2 months arears which doesn't make any sense.

Desired outcome: this needs to be corrected and unduly charges on my account needs to be refunded.

Conservice Utility Management & Billing Water bill

My water bill with this company is always an average of about $84.00. I use approximately 4300 gallons monthly. This month was nothing new. Took the same amount of showers. Used the same amount of water we always use. I got my bill this month and it is $263, and it says I used 15,330 gallons. Unless I gave the whole block a shower, this is wrong! Sent 3 emails,to no avail, now I have been on hold with them for a hour, still awaiting customer service!

Conservice Utility Management & Billing Overcharging

This company is overcharging us. I live in a small studio apartment in Koreatown, los angeles and I don’t think the bill that they are sending us is fair. I work almost all day and I dont even stay long in my apartment. And the reading for the water is not included bill. This is so frustrating. Please let me know if they are overcharging us.
