I bought new ac in 2019 and 10 parts and labor if you do maintenence with them. $150 a year if you use some other company null the labor part of warranty. They are offering a $20 a month agreement now. I don't want plumbing and electric bs trying sell me something else. Offered for him to come inside until the rain stopped however he declined and stated had other things he could check on our system inside the garage to keep himself busy while it rained. Appreciated how thorough and knowledgeable he was in explaining what he was doing and what the reading meant as he was going over his findings. This was a routine maintenance so I was not expecting there be anything that needed to be fixed however he was very good about showing me what he found. I appreciate when someone takes the time to educate me on their profession and what readings mean and what they are checking and how that is important to the over all maintenance of our system to maximize its life potential.

When we called CoolToday to request an appointment with a Plumber, they were able to schedule a same day service appointment with a 4-hour response time, because we are members of CoolToday's HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical Service Plans. The CoolToday Plumber, Daniel M., who came to our home within 2 hours on a Sunday morning in very stormy weather, was very professional, friendly, interactive, knowledgeable, and competent. He was able to accurately diagnose the leaking water problem with our old Water Heater, and installed a new Water Heater to get our hot water system flowing again. Thank You CoolToday and Daniel, for such fast service, and for a job well-done. We truly appreciate your kindness and everything that you did to help us.

After selecting CoolToday in March for an AC checkup, some repairs were needed for the 8 year old system. At that time the service tech suggested us to consider a new system. Not having previous experience with AC, which was not needed in NY, we declined. As it turned out our system needed a recharge on [protected] caused by a leak at the air handler. Called CoolToday for a quote and had Cameron G. give us a very detailed explanation of the various options available and we settled for a system he suggested. We were amazed that he scheduled us for a NEXT DAY installation which was expertly done by 2 excellent technicians. The new system works great and we are very pleased. Rip Off on repair costs
Rip Off on repair costs. They replaced 2 capacitors and 1 contactor that totaled $82.37 including tax for a total price of $595! That means the mark up and labor was over $500. Our Maintenance and Inspection agreement already included removal of panels and prep work. I observed the replacement labor and it was about 20 mins. Argued the exorbitant cost and told this is the way it is done! Should get invoice that indicates part cost and then the associated labor. Their method hides the costs to the unaware customer! I see that as fraud. They did make refund but I suspect that they get away with this most of the time. Other HVAC contractors may be doing the same. I suspect that most customers have no idea of what is going on and pay these high costs. Complaintsboard.com should put and end to this fraudulent practice. How can CoolToday have such a high rating with this kind of practice?

We elected to contract with Mr. Jaime D./Owner of CoolToday, PlumbingToday, and EnergyToday for the year by taking advantage of his "TotalCare Today Home Partnership Plan."
On 6/2/2022 Mr. Humberto A. and Mr. Justin W. (my apologies as I did not get Justin's last name) were scheduled to be at our home from 2 PM -to- 4 PM; however, Humberto called and advised if it was okay their scheduled would allow them to come an hour early, which was great for our planned activities for the rest of the day. Upon their arrival and before entering our house they covered their shoes with protective booties to ensure nothing was tracked on our floors. Even after they had to go outside, they replaced their booties before coming back into the house - this made the wife very happy.
Humberto and Justin took the time and listened carefully while I gave them the plumbing history of our home from the date, we bought it as well as reviewed related documentation as it pertained our two water lines coming into our property. A couple of items I addressed they asked to be taken to the location within the house to ensure they understood what the concerns were. From this point they completed what they call their "New Plumbing Safety Inspection Form," which upon completion of their inspection and after they left our home, we received a pdf copy of the inspection form. Receiving this form is extremely valuable to the homeowner because I was able to review all the data and there were two areas of misunderstanding which in turn allowed me to communicate back to PlumbingToday to ensure the data was corrected.
Both Humberto and Justin are what I consider problem solvers. The issue is the water pressure to the Master Bathroom is not as strong as the water pressure to the Guest Bathroom. After they verified our concern, they did several tests which included taking water pressure readings and determined two possible fix actions.
Great experience with Richard B.from Plumbing Today, hooking up our shut off valve for our new dishwasher. Contacted Plumbing today and spoke Jasmine on 06/16/2022 as we were in a pinch as Home Depot installers couldn't install our new dishwasher due to problems with shut off valve. Jasmine was able to make next day appointment and Richard B.showed up promptly, assessed the situation and completed plumbing job for new dishwasher in about an hour. HD delivery/install came in the next day and were able to install new dishwasher with no problems thanks to the pro shutoff valve set up by Richard B.. Nice Job Plumbing Today and Jasmine for setting up our appointment. Great Job Richard! We will definitely refer and use Plumbing Today and request Richard Brescia for any future Plumbing Jobs.
Having a service agreement with this Cool Today we had a maintenance technician to our home and it was a disaster. Despite escalating our complaint on a Friday we were left without air conditioning all weekend. We had left a message for Lee & Randy, managers, and for Jamie the owner. The end result was an email on Monday. We have been in Naples for 23 years and have never experience such a lack of concern for us and our 5 pets being left with air conditioning for days when the heat index was over one hundred degrees. Totally unacceptable. Actually, disgraceful.

This company was a referral from Costco for a Lennox a/c unit . James their sales man was okay at first.After install did not follow thur with conditions of contract. Would not return calls, even when requested by management. There were problems with the install, 2nd crew was sent out, they were lazy, torn up the brick skirting around my home instead of using the perment opening then lied and said not them, however there were pictures. Then they seal the area around the a/c so one could gain access. Had this glue all over the side of the house. Two more times for crews to clean up this mess. Next I had a worker show to install the electric heater in the unit, I was never told at install that they did not have. Now today I find out the company held the paperwork from 2/28/22 til 4/10/22 for the $1200.00 shop card from Costco that I should of had in 7 days after install. DO NOT USE COOL TODAY if you want decent customer service.

After a lot of research, crunching numbers, and talking to our neighbor we decided to combine our electrical, plumbing, and air conditioning preventative maintenance programs by selecting one company that provides all three services. That company has three entities under one roof.
Our first visit by the electrical side of the organization was today with Mr. Kevin L. coming to the house. Mr. L. is the consummate professional coupled with a very friendly demeanor and stayed on task until his work was completed. Mr. L. also briefed me on the current code for fire alarm systems emphasizing the type that have the 10-year batteries. For this initial visit we only had one problem A/C outlet and Mr. L. was able to fix the issue.
Bottom line, based on the visit from the electrical side of this organization we are very pleased we elected to put our home electrical-plumbing-A/C preventative maintenance program under the care of one company.

I located this company online after searching for A/C repair with free estimates. My husband called at 11:30 am, the service tech was here by 2 pm and my unit was working again at 2:45 pm. The price charged was fair and the tech offered to schedule a free sales service estimate for a future new unit. Also, we are currently in the midst of a pandemic which adds an extra layer of difficulty since I am immune-compromised. The tech was very reassuring, he wore a mask, gloves and even wiped his shoes with alcohol wipes (he had just run out of foot covers). I felt very comfortable letting him enter the home. The service was quick, efficient, and professional. I work in the construction field and have heard many horror stories from homeowners, I am so happy I can now share a great experience and recommend this company to my family and friends.

He has great long-term plumbing experience, in-depth technical plumbing knowledge, and he was very competent, kind, and patient. We have found CoolToday to be an outstanding company. They are very responsive, well-trained, friendly, and competent professionals who arrive on-time. We have had the CoolToday Total Care Plan (Air Conditioning, Plumbing, Electrical) for the past 4 years. They have supplied, installed, repaired, and maintained things like our Lennox HVAC system, Water Softener System, Hot Water Heater, kitchen faucet, bathroom faucets and toilets, electrical outlets, etc. Also, they have responded on the same day, within 4 hours, to any emergency situation that we have reported to them. He explained every thing in detail and let me choose the HVAC unit I wanted. I purchased another RUUD 2.5 ton system to replace my old RUUD system. I ask three local well respected companies for bids. One company only offered Carrier and Daikin systems. The other company only carried Carrier and Trane. Cool Today let me choose the unit I wanted, not just one from column A or one from column B. While Phil was here, he placed a call to his warehouse to see if the unit I wanted was in stock. It was and Phil said he could have it installed the next day. After receiving my last quote, I choose the the offer from Cool Today. The sales price was $7212 and was the lowest bid. The installers showed up at 9:00 AM and had the job completed by 3 PM. Nothing less than total customer satisfaction with Cool Today. I would highly recommend Cool Today to any of my friends or family if they need their HVAC repaired or replaced.

I got three estimates to replace my system since it was 14 years old and I didn't want to pay the high cost of a repair. I went through COSTCO who arranged for COOL TODAY to come by with an estimate. I was so impressed with the time Chris S took with me to explain everything and all my options. I felt no pressure whatsoever and he was able to answer all my questions concerning the right unit for my second floor condo. I was so happy that they were able to install the very next day a complete new top of the line system for a very reasonable price. They even offered me 18 months of financing at 0% and no money down. They even gave me the usual 10 year warranty on parts, but also gave me 3 years warranty on labor. Who does that anymore? It went great. When my HVAC system broke down, I called Cool Today; I was not yet a customer.They came recommended by multiple neighbors in my subdivision. They had a salesman out to my house within hours. I knew I needed a new HVAC system as mine was VERY OLD. The salesman was professional and not pushy as some tend to be. I made the purchase and the new system was installed and running GREAT within 4 days. Also, what was a great blessing was that the salesman offered to have a portable A/C machine delivered to my house that day in order to provide some cool air for the long weekend (80-90 degree heat). The portable A/C arrived within hours and it did keep about 200 sq ft of the house very cool and comfortable. The technicians who installed the new HVAC system a few days later were outstanding. They worked steadily and diligently for 11 hours so I could have A/C before the day was out. Literally, they labored from 8:30 a.m. till 7:00 p.m. Doesn't get any better than that. I also appreciate that every time I call Cool Today with a question, a person actually answers the phone and is polite and helpful. Quite remarkable in this day and age of long phone queues and poor customer service. I plan on using Cool Today for my electrical needs.

Zac is also the type of person that is not personally satisfied until he can find the cause of a plumbing problem and very carefully and completely fix it. CoolToday is a great company. Their Plumbers, Electricians, and HVAC Technicians are well-trained, background checked annually, friendly, respectful, and highly competent professionals, who arrive on the job on-time and always strive to do a job right the first time. We have had the CoolToday Total Care Plan for our Plumbing, Electrical, and HVAC system for the past 4 years, and we have always been very pleased and very appreciative of everything they have always done to responsively help us. For any emergency situation that we have reported to CoolToday, they have always responded on the same day within 4 hours regardless of weather conditions. We called Cool Today as they were recommended by good friends of ours. They showed up right away to fix an air conditioning problem on a 9 year old Trane unit. The tech informed us that the system had no pressure and that we probably needed a whole new system because there was a leak somewhere. He gave us his best guess to fix it, which was $3,000. I scheduled a sales call, which happened that same evening. I did call the tech back to ask why he did not do a leak/dye test so we could learn where the leak was. The tech became very agitated and kept repeating over and over that it was probably one of two coils or a pump and any of those things would cost $3,000. I pointed out that he really did not know what was wrong because he did not investigate. He said I could fix it and have another $3,000 problem in six months and I would still not have a new unit. He said that it was my money, and if I wanted to throw it away, that was my business. I told him I felt like I was being pressured to buy a new unit. He agreed to come the next day to do a leak test. Well, I ended up cancelling his visit for the following day and got a second opinion. The second company did a system check and found that a $.25 cent valve had a huge leak in it. The air conditioner was fixed within an hour and it cost me around $600. I saved thousands of dollars just by having a second opinion.

The repair for the HVAC was to the point that it made sense to price out a new unit. The service tech said that if we purchased a new unit from them the $89 service fee would be refunded. The sales person cam out and priced out the new system. We wanted some things changed but all that was included in the bid they provided. I asked the sales person about the refund of the service fee and he seemed confused after we had agreed to purchase the system. The work started on the 6th sort of. The installation people spent the first half of the day arguing about where the unit was getting installed (we were moving the air handler from the garage to up in the attic. Pressing for us to just install it where the old unit was installed. Finally after 12:00 they started working on the install. The install went into a second day and thankfully they sent different people to the house and truly got to work. At the end of the second day, when they were asking for paperwork to be signed, I identified that they pad for the compressor wasn't installed plus the duct sanitizing wasn't completed. I was told they would adjust the bill since the pad wasn't used and that they would be out in about 3 week to do the duct sanitizing. I have yet to be contacted about the duct sanitation. I have reached out 4 times to them about cost of the hurricane pad and the supposed refund of the initial service fee. 2 times emails were completely ignored and the 2 times I called, I was told they would call me back and still nothing. I even engaged their chat function on their web site and was told again that someone would reach out to me. If you are in the market for an new HVAC, I would consider a different company as their customer service after the sale is horrible.

I have never felt more blessed than I have after yesterday evening. I lost my husband to lung disease that was magnified by covid over a month and a half ago & my life has been in complete disarray since ... He handled everything trade wise in our home as I am completely clueless! Yesterday my air conditioning unit stopped working my home temperature registered over 80 degrees & continued to climb, my funds are limited so calling any local contractors was out of the question. I sucked it up & plugged in as many fans as I could until I would be able to pay someone to assist me. I was leaving Publix on Toledo blade & as I attempted to close my trunk after filling it with food it just wouldn't close ! I lost it ! I had the worst day & now my trunk won't close so my food purchase would be secure... I was a blubbering mess & all of the sudden a woman tapped me on the shoulder & politely asked " ma'am are you ok ?! " I spilled my guts to this poor lady I told her my life in the past couple months & how I was ready to give up. She told me she worked for cool today & asked me to please let her try & help me she used a cord to secure my trunk to my bumper & followed me to my home. She shut my unit off at the panel & then switched it back on ! No luck unit still was not working! She then checked my thermostat which was operational she changed the batteries & still nothing! She said Paula I am going to give it one last shot & check your drain line if that doesn't work I'll call someone from my company out here, I told her no ! I can't afford it ! She said Paula I work for a man who has made it his life mission to take care of people .., His name is Jamie Didomenicco if you think i am kidding you google him ! She told me she will fix this herself or have someone there ! Please please just try and calm down. She checked the drain line pulled some dirt & mulch out of it peeked inside and saw there was some debris in there ! Asked me if I had a shop vac she could use to remove the debris & that's what she did ! And low & behold my system began to work ! I have never in my 66 years of life felt relief or blessed the way I was with this woman as I did on 7/14. What an outstanding employee & person. She told me we help people like this the all the time because being nice is free & during times like these she thinks everyone can be a bit nicer. I do know your employees name but I promised her I would keep it private as she believes good deeds don't need to be public or glorified. So this is my review this is my story. The technician first sold me a capacitor because it was "getting close to need to be replaced" Then told my that my whole system needed to be replaced.
I was charged for a capacitor I did not need, company will not accept a return
In addition they broke my irrigation hose promise to replace it and never did.
I presented my claim to the company but no one provided a satisfactory response.
Desired outcome: Replace irrigation hose and refund my money for the capacitor.
We had a technician come by our house and tell us he could fix our AC
We had a technician come by our house and tell us he could fix our AC. Named Edward S. We trusted his expert opinion on fixing it. So we paid a total of $1,841.05 with our stimulus money. However just after a few days the AC did not work. So they had another Technician from Cool today show us another underlying problem that the first technician did not tell us about. That would cost us $900 to fix. If we knew about the underlining problem. We wouldn't have invested our stimulus money on it in the first place. We asked for a refund and they told us they would get back to us but never did. I would Just like a settlement for the expenses paid.

On Saturday February 5, 2022 I received an invoice from Cool Today in the amount of $1,456.00 for service on 12/09. I have never heard of these people. They did not perform any service at my residence. I believe this is a SCAM. Why would I call a plumber or HVAC service from Sarasota...many miles from where I live. I am contacting the Seminole County Sheriffs Office and the Florida Dep(artment of Agriculture, Division of Consumer Affairs with this complaint as well as Complaintsboard.com. This is WRONG.
I purchased an AC unit for my townhome on April 2
I purchased an AC unit for my townhome on April 2. It was installed the next day. I had the unit for 5 weeks and it stopped cooling completely. I called Cool today and they sent out a serviceman. He was here for 3 hours. He had gauges and tools etc. He then proceeded to use a blowtorch inside of the unit outside. He said it sprung a leak. I asked him if the unit was defective. He replied I have no idea. After he did whatever with the blowtorch he put the unit back together and now it still isn't cooling properly and it sounds like a jet engine. I called and left messages at least 15 times. I still have no resolution and I haven't even made my first payment. If this issue is not resolved ASAP I will be contacting my attorney.

Cool Today cashed my $189.00 check for an annual maintenance plan for all 2019. I never had any maintenance calls and they have not refunded me. Jan 21,2019 I wrote N&M Cool Today a check for $189.00 for a 2-service call Maintenance Plan 22 for the upcoming year. I had been their customer for 29 years ! Cool Today cashed the check on Jan 29, 2019. I never received any service call in 2019 and in fact , in April, I purchased a new A/C unit from another company who were more price competitive. I called Cool Today several times for a refund and was told I was going to get one, but never did. I wrote them an e-mail and attached the check posting copies from the bank, but still no refund nor any response. They have just ignored me as if to punish me for buying from a competitor. So they did NOT FULFILL their plan, did NOT PERFORM any maintenance service, and JUST KEPT MY MONEY that I paid them IN GOOD FAITH.

I purchased a new complete unit June 19 for $6200.00. I have had numerous repairs in the last 3 years. Although it was covered under the warranty it very inconvenient and frustrating. This month after a service call my unit started making a noise when it would kick on, a rattling noise. I made another call to have another service call (upwards of ten service calls in the last 3 years). They came out and said it was a "pump". The pump was not replaced when a new unit was installed. They would be able to repair by ordering a new pump for $625.00 plus labor. I have called and asked why this was not replaced when I purchased a new unit. They simply said they did not know. I feel as if I am an older person living alone and and being taken advantage of. When purchasing a new unit all should be new. I have contacted another HVAC repair center and they said there was no such thing as a "pump". I have tried calling Cool Today for try to resolve to no avail.

Purchased new air conditioning unit 2.5 Lennox split system for $9,481.00 on 07/26 system then failed and was replaced. Now thermostat system is not working correctly and technician wouldn't replace thermostat or even look at it. The thermostat is stuck at 73 degrees. The technician would not provide their name or give us the telephone number of their supervisor. Extremely poor customer service with this emergency 27/7 Cool Today technician! The technician left the job incompleted and didn't care to help us at all! Date of service 8pm 05/08.

We had an appointment to look at a contactor switch in our external condenser unit. The technician arrived early and only my wife was home, who did not understand the AC problem fully. The technician diagnosed a faulty blower motor. The blower was working fine that morning but he said it was somehow 'seized' in his inspection. Based off the technician's false information alone, my wife agreed to replace the fan for $800 The technician said he also 'hot wired' the unit so that the blower fan ran constantly. He claimed there was a control board issue that would cost more money to fix, so he bypassed it. We since had another AC company rewire this correctly and now the indoor fan works. In my opinion this was an attempted scam, to take our money for a blower motor as well as attempt to charge us for a new control board, neither of which were necessary. It would seem that the technician wired the blower motor to run constantly as a pressure sales tactic to get us to buy a new unit.

The system required duct work which was agreed to and completed by Florida Cool prior to installation. This energy efficient system has had many issues one of which is chronic leaking from the pan overfilling. FC technicians were at my home 5x within a two week period (May '21) and ultimately came to the decision that our issue was not equipment malfunction but duct work issues (after recommending $3,000 worth of improvements). Mon, 5.24.21, techs said IAQ would be at our house Wednesday; assumed Wed, 5.26.21 only to wait and find it was Wed, June 2; not acceptable. Customer service rescheduled to 6.1.21 (STILL WAITING). Repeated calls to FC and their president were not returned... but he was sure to leave me a recorded voicemail advising our warranty was about to expire and we need to extend annual coverage. BAIT & SWITCH

Our system could not stay cool
Our system could not stay cool. We paid to have the fan removed from the system and cleaned. It still couldnt keep our less than 1000 sqft home cool. We called again and were told we need to replace all of the AC ducts. We paid over 5k to replace those and had to chase them up to pay the bill. Our AC unit still couldnt keep the house cool. We called again, they said our fan was still dirty and the evaporator coil was clogged and they wanted 3k to replace because the warranty expired. We called a different ac company for a second opinion. Because our system is 5 years old and has a tone of problems. The evaporator coil was not clogged, the fan was still extremely dirty and the coils needed to be cleaned. Cool today over charged and did not fix the issues. Our ducts have been replaced and now our brand new ceilings have water damage from condensation. Cool today said they don't know what else to do but say sorry. I asked for supervisor to contact me and never received a call or email.

I hired this company to do a Tune up maintenance on my A/C unit at my home and they came in on Saturday September 18.The person came in and spent several hours and at the end told me that everything was looking great, but I needed a part called "Capacitor" and also that he saw dirt and some build up bacteria on the fan and recommended cleaning, he told me the cost was 300 for the part and 400 for the cleaning if doing on a different day, but if I did both the same day it was one price of 365. So i told him to do it, on his way out he came back and told me that he was taking some freon from my unit because it had too much and to observe the a/c in the next couple days and call him if any difference so he can put back. On Tuesday Sept 21 after noon the a/c stop working and nobody is taking responsability, 3 techs so far keep coming and giving different stories now, and wanting me to pay for something else they say is the problem, but i am w/o AC and no help. they are not helping .

Purchased a new AC unit from Heinz AC & Heating in 03/19. The unit ($12,058) came with several Warranties. In 11/19, the unit leaked fluid into my daughter's room and caved in the ceiling and damaged the carpet. I contacted Heinz, they informed me that CoolToday had bought the company and they would work together to fix the Unit and damage to the room, as this was considered an INSTALLATION issue. Jennifer L. was my POC. After approx 90 days, the work was completed. On 9/5, I experienced the SAME ISSUE/DAMAGE, to which a Tech assessed and told me it would cost $2,500 to fix the SAME INSTALLATION ISSUE, that was repaired for free in 03/19. I asked to speak with a manager for the explanation of the charges however, as of 9/8, I have NOT heard from a manager, and are leaving messages at a rate of 5/day. I have also emailed multiple team members from CoolToday (Jennifer L., Marci H., and Preston S.) and no one has responded. My next steps are to contact the media and retain a lawyer

Cool Today damaged our GE dryer and bent the door during a dryer vent cleaning on July 20. We are a customer of over 8 years with a service warranty contract that equates to over $3,000 with additional fees for dryer vent cleaning. Telephone calls, follow-ups, and a Fed Ex Registered Letter sent to Cool Today and delivered on 3-4-2022 have yielded nothing. When originally brought to their attention, Cool Today assigned a claim number of ***. No return telephone calls and no response have been received from Cool Today since then. GE Certified Repair individuals (with documents) recommend the dryer should be replaced. We cannot get a response from Cool Today. Detailed documents are attached for your review including a log of all events that transpired, names of Cool Today Representatives that broke the dryer, Cool Today employees that never followed up, and the documents that show the GE Repair statement. We even included the cost of a dryer we found to purchase. My husband works from home. He has lost valuable time from work in addition to this.

Cool Today installed a home air conditioning & heating system in our residence on November 4th. We purchased this unit because Costco was offering a promotion where they would issue a Costco Shop Card valued at 20% of the purchase price. Cool Today was the contractor they were using. During the initial sales consultation the sales rep stated that Cool Today would handle all of the necessary paperwork & that it would take between 4 to 6 weeks from the installation date to receive the card. He added that the average wait time was 3 weeks. It has been over 6 weeks & we still haven't received the card. After numerous calls to Costco we were told that Cool Today didn't forward the paperwork until December 3rd & that we'd have to wait an additional month for the card. I asked the sales rep Phil S. why Cool Today waited a month before submitting the paperwork. He replied that he turned the paperwork into his off before the installation was even completed and that he would "look into" what went wrong. I never heard back from him. I called the Cool Today sales office and was promised that the woman who handled the paperwork processing was on another call and would call me as soon as she was finished. That was 2 days ago & I never heard back from her. It is obvious that no one from Cool Today wants to address what happened.

All aspects of new a/c system install have been faulty. Electrical inside and out failed county inspection (supposedly corrected). thermostat did not work, new one hung completely crooked on wall (partially corrected, still crooked, and now lights up bright red with an alert to connect to WiFi, which I stated I did NOT want). Less than two weeks after install. Air handler began making sounds like a trumpet at start up and power down, They sent a hearing impaired tech to diagnose the sound. After he worked on it, it now sounds like a trumpet throughout entire cycle. Next tech found rouge screws at the bottom of the air handler, agreed it must have been damaged during install and wanted to use replacement parts. I requested new air handler as I paid cash for new, working equipment. Refused. They've been to my home so often, my neighbor wants to call a TV consumer advocate. 3 of 6 techs that have been here have been rude, and made me feel uncomfortable in my own home. I am a single, female senior, and I do not want them in my home again except to remove their equipment. My verbal request to take advantage of their contracted 100% satisfaction guarantee was refused- ("IF, FOR ANY REASON YOU ARE NOT SATISFIED WE WILL MAKE IT RIGHT OR CHEERFULLY REFUND 100% OF YOUR MONY PLUS PAY YOU $250 FOR YOUR INCONVENIENCE".) They have had 3 opportunities to do this job correctly and did not succeed. Sent letter to corp office in sarasota - USPS initially denied access to deliver. once delivered, no response from cool today. I request you do the right thing, come get your equipment, issue an immediate and full refund, and let me forget I ever had to deal with your techs. I will hire an attorney if you refuse to honor your agreement.

I was due for a routine maintenance on my AC from cool today. I purchased a plan that for 1 year cool today would come out every 6 months to tune up my ac. The AC unit is about 3 years old. They came they told me it's in great shape everything is cleaned and all is good to go. 6 months later they come back for my scheduled maintenance. My ac is working fine. Nothing is wrong with it but I paid for a second tune up so I figured I paid for it might as well do it. The technician comes and tells me that.. My coils are dirty and they need to be cleaned. I reluctantly say okay I guess I gotta do what I gotta do. That was a $300 charge. The technician then tells me my capacitor is okay but I'm going to need one soon. Living in Florida capacitor goes your dying in this heat. So I let the technician know yeah since your here might as well do it. That's about $290. Technician changes the parts and leaves. Ac breaks in 2 days. I call Cool today. They send someone out. They tell be it's a contactor . They change the contacor. It works for about 20 minutes then goes out again. Call cool today again. Another tech comes. Tech says I need a new blower and drip pan. I tell them my system was working fine when they came originally. So far they already got over $500 out of me. So, I call the office. They tell me someone will call me back. Nobody calls me back. Then I call again and they said they will send a tech out to verify the parts. Tech #4 comes out. Tech says I need a $900 blower. So now all this from a routine maintenance on a system that was fine that they broke! I'm starting to think I didn't need a capacitor or a coil cleaning. They upsold me parts that broke my perfectly running machine and now they want me to pay for the parts they lied about needing and they broke. I need AC so I have no choice but to say ok? This is unbelievable. Is this fraud? Bad business? I honestly would just like to get refunded (they parts I didn't need) fixed and never use this company again.

HVAC unit originally purchased in 2018 from Easy A/C of Tampa has proven to be defective and repair costs being charged to consumer. In Aug 2018 my wife and I purchased a new HVAC from Easy A/C of Tampa. During the installation of the $9K+ unit, the "new" motherboard was found to be defective and had to be replaced before the unit worked properly. In July the unit malfunctioned and technicians found the motherboard was again damaged along with a another part which were both replaced under warranty. With the unit being installed in the middle of summer and a household that suffers from allergies of prolonged furnace usage in winter months, the furnace was never tested or attempted to be used until Jan 2021. The furnace failed to activate and we contacted the company who sent a technician out. We have since been told that the motherboard is again defective on the heating side and that there is also a potential problem with a gas valve. After a 2mth wait, we followed up with the company as they said they had to order the motherboard and when we made contact, they informed us that coincidentally the item had arrived the day before and that they now wanted to schedule repairs but needed to inform us that the labor cost of $291 to install the motherboard is our responsibility and only after it's installed will they know if the gas valve needs replacement at a cost of an additional $800+ which again would be our expense. While we are fully aware that the 1yr warranty (remember the original motherboard was replaced just shy of a year) had expired, had the problem been for example with the cooling system which we have utilized yearlong, we would have had no issues with paying the cost of repairs understanding well how warranties work. The issue we have, is that we are being asked to pay for a service we never had for a minute and have no clue if they even tested it at installation or service which were all done in summer months. We are totally opposed to paying any of the costs because clearly the furnace must have been a "lemon" and as such the company should not be going by the warranty as it's not all black or white. We work in corporate with contracts and warranties on a daily basis and know that there are extenuating circumstances that often have to be looked at when certain issues arise and this is the point we have tried to raise with the company. Having spoken with a manager he has informed us that the best he can do is credit the $291 towards the gas valve cost if it's found that replacement of the latter is also needed but all in all it is a closed deal. I then asked if there was anyone else to whom we could speak to before deciding on our next move and was informed that a District Manager (I believe) was our only other option but that he would likely be telling us the same thing. We asked for him to call nonetheless, but to date we have received no calls.

Fraudulent/Deceptive Business Practices, Breech of Contract, and Preying on Female Customers This is what I sent the Cool Today President via LinkedIn on 2/16: On 9/4 I purchased my new home in St. Pete. On the afternoon of 9/5, I heard a dripping sound in my attic. I googled & called Cool Today to check to see if my 5yo ac was leaking. Manny came out to assess the situation. He scratched his head went in & out, had a call with someone, made fun of me hanging blinds with my black & decker drill/driver & then told me I was low on refrigerant & my coil had likely froze. On 9/6 Mike F. came out to estimate a new system, which I was honestly reluctant to purchase. However, he reiterated that the dripping sound was the coil defrosting & I should likely not run the ac to prevent damage to my ceilings - Goodman's are notorious for bad coils. Not being the expert in HVAC, I assumed that I was being given valid info. I expressed to Mike that I wanted/needed a quiet system. He sold me a 1.5t Ruud Seer 14 - he said it's a quiet unit. I spent the first weekend in my new home hot & disheartened. Since I had just dropped $ for my down payment & had not expected to need a new ac - since the one that just came with my house was just 5yo & was inspected 2x by 2 different inspectors & cleared/fully functional. The EZ AC/Cool Today installers arrived on 9/8 & installed the unit. After installation - the dripping sound continued. Broken hearted realizing that I just had a perfectly working unit replaced to fix a leak that wasn't even a leak. Two more guys came out & couldn't figure out the problem. Then comes Robert, he found that it was negative pressure affecting the bathroom exhaust vent. Fast forward this extremely loud 78db Ruud unit was not installed properly. The installers connected the heat to emergency heat. Then when the heat would go off I'd intermittently have knocking noises. Robert advised that it was likely the regulator valve & there wasn't anything he could do. So it seems that I spent over $6k for a brand new ac - when I didn't need one & they said there nothing that could be done - beyond perplexing. I had asked repeatedly for the supervisor Tom H to call me to discuss the issues. In 4 months Tom never called me once. On 1/13 I tried one more time to get some help. I spoke to Tiffany & she elevated this issue to Danny & Ben...with no response on 1/19 I decided that I had enough. I reviewed our contract & decided to look at other companies to do business with instead of your organization, as it was abundantly clear to me that Cool Today did not care about me. On 1/22 I called Tiffany back & advised I was executing the clause in the contract for you to remove the unit, refund my $6,146.70 & the $250 inconvenience fee (which mind you really doesn't cover the large amount of inconvenience I experienced). Tiffany transferred me to *** & I advised that I needed to be put on the calendar for the current unit to be removed on 2/2 & that I was executing the contract clause & would like to have the refund for $6,396.70 promptly refunded after the unit was removed. He advised it should only take a week or so to process. Fast forward, two guys arrived on 2/2 & removed they Ruud system. The situation was belabored when one of the guys lost his work phone - he was in & out about 5 times searching & searching all through tons of insulation in my attic on one of the coldest days of the year when I wouldn't have heat overnight. Needless to say it was a cold night in the house. On 2/3 I had a new system installed, in which the company actually identified the root cause of the knocking noise - the problem was that the outside copper pipe was the wrong size for the RUUD it was one size inside & a smaller size outside. So, we are now at 2/16, I've called Charles three times to check the status of the refund (2/8, 2/12 & 2/16) & I have not received a call with information. I think I've been extremely patient & extremely fair through this whole situation

I was forced to purchase Plumbing service agreement as a condition for keeping my AC service agreement and warranty at current benefits level. Cool Today (CT) forced me to purchase Plumbing service agreement as a condition for keeping my current level of TCT AC service agreement and extended warranty for my 8 year old AC system installed by CT on jan 24 2012. My system has almost 4 years of 100% labor and parts extended warranty (12yrs total) remaining (expires on 1/24/2024), my system also have a long history (over 100 service calls in 8 years) of under performing, breakdowns and system failure but CT elect to fix and service my system at great cost to them and myself instead of taking it out, many of the issues were direct result of over-selling the wrong system, poor service from uninformed and untrained technicians and luck of control and follow up by managers and back office support resulting in multiple visits, calls, reminders and in some cases a complaint letter to resolve each issue, As a matter of fact, as an example, on recent service visit (3/4) the system's air filter door's plastic latch got broken after the filter was changed at the visit but the tech did not mentioned it or fix it, he black-taped it, the tech and i actually had a conversation about self-changing the filter every 3 month, i found it out few days later since the door was hanging on one side, the tape did not work, i called to report the issue and the next day the tech came to "inspect" saying it was not broken when he left but he order the part (he said), few weeks past and i still don't have the part, i called CT on 3/29 to remind and was told they will contact the tech and let me know, it's been over a week since and i still heard nothing back, it's been 30 days now*. This experience repeated itself in most or all past service issues, large or small i had with CT since the system was installed. Not wanting to have a lag in the agreements I paid for the Plumbing and AC maintenance combo agreement $299, an equal, stand alone AC maintenance agreement is worth $189 per company's literature, see doc attached. TCT's (TOTAL CARE TODAY service agreement) most important feature for me is the guarantee service call in 4 hours. Since my system's poor record and its age i fully expect that i will need system failure service and i would not want to wait for service if possible and i am willing to pay for it, the normal service agreement cost $129 and has NO Guarantee response time, CT claim that they trying to answer all calls ASAP but my past experience with TCT or the Basic agreement suggest that its not the case even with TCT. I asked CT to let me purchase the stand alone agreement TCT AC for $189 but was refused on the following grounds: No such agreement is offered to any customer CT only offer TCT as a package of all 3 services: AC, Electric & Plumbing CT will not tailor an agreement for me since they went out of their way in the past to satisfy me. I disagree with CT reasons on the following ground: Company literature specifically indicate that the AC only TCT service is selling for $189 After numerous calls that escalated to higher level (president) CT offered and sold me TCT agreement for 2 services only after saying such agreement does not exist CT offer to tailor a 2 service agreement of my choice (AC + plumbing OR electric) after saying that they do not tailor agreement to individual customers In the past, CT did NOT go out of their way to satisfy me, on the contrary, there were a variety of past issues that were a result of company reps over-selling and poor service quality that caused me hardship and added costs and CT resolved many such issues by offering new and extended services past initial commitments. *I followed up on the service issue from 3/4 and called CT 4/6, the CS said its in the system but he need to contact the tech and will let me know, i got a call back 2 hours later saying that the have the part and i should call them and let them know when is a good time to bring it, i called back to schedule a drop off on 4/7
