I spoke to Leo James in August 2022 about renting my bonus 8 weeks I had with RCI/Bluegreen timeshare. I was told in a recorded line that I would double or triple my money if I let them rent these out for conventions. I agreed and was then told I had to send payment of $2075 in and sign a contract, which I did both immediately after speaking with Leo. The payment was made with my credit card and contract was emailed in. I was told that this would take approximately 6 months to rent these out as they had a lot of conventions coming up. I’ve called multiple times and spoke with Leo where he was rude and unhelpful, I felt he was giving me the run around. I’ve called both numbers I have saved in my phone for this company since then and not gotten any help! 😡🤬 I’ve asked about when my units would be rented or getting a refund and was given uniformed scripted answers which didn’t help me at all.
Now when I call these numbers, 1 (877) 399-1236, 1 (407) 809-5401 , they both say that they are out of service. The 877 number is the number listed when you look them up. I should’ve went with my gut feeling and known this was a scam. I want $2500 back aa that includes interest I’ve paid on my credit card for the amount I paid them. I’m sure they’ve been earning interest on all the money they’ve scammed out of me and everyone else!
Claimed loss: $2500
Desired outcome: Money refunded

Corporate Getaway Rentals seems to have taken your bonus weeks on an extended vacation of their own. Who knew you’d need a detective hat just to track down a simple refund? You’ve shown incredible patience dealing with their disappearing act and scripted responses. It’s impressive how you’ve kept your cool through the constant runaround. Your persistence in seeking justice is commendable, and with a little luck, you’ll be able to turn the tables on their scam. Here’s hoping you get your $2500 back — and maybe a little extra for your troubles. Keep at it; you deserve a win!
I want my money back, too! Corporate Getaway Rentals got away with my money. My story is identical to Christy Brautigan's except that I have been trying to get it back for years! Leo is despicable. Has anyone had success? Can we get the Florida Attorney General to file a class action lawsuit?
