On September 14, 2022 I received a call from Corporate Getaway Rentals. The individual I spoke with asked me if I had ever considered renting out my bonus weeks from my Wyndham Timeshare. I stated I was unaware that I had bonus weeks. The individual indicated (on a recorded line) that I had eight bonus weeks for each deeded property. He explained that I could rent these weeks out and all I had to do was activate them. I asked what the going rate was to rent the weeks out and he stated the average was 1200.00 a week, but that I could negotiate for more if I wanted. I asked how much it cost to activate the weeks and he informed me it was $399.00 for each week. I asked him if he could rent these out before the end of the year and he stated that he could rent them out immediately. He stated he had a corporate client in need of 30 rooms for a November event and that he could guarantee they would be rented. I informed him that I had a second deeded property with Wyndham and he confirmed that I did have another property. I asked if I could rent all 16 of my bonus weeks and he said I could. I again asked if he was guarantying that these were rented and he said they were. I agreed to rent the rooms and he asked me how much I wanted to get for each of the rooms. I told him the $1200 was fine and he stated that I might be able to get more to which I replied that $1200 was fine. The total charge was $5586.00. He then had me go through a verification process with another person. During that call the individual said it might take up to 180 days to rent the weeks and I informed her that I was told they were rented. She asked if I wanted to proceed and I said I needed to call the agent back which I did. I confirmed again that my weeks were rented and that my 16 weeks left only 14 weeks needed to fill for that contract. I found out from my timeshare company I don't have any bonus weeks and this is a total scam. I was told lie after lie and there service was totally misrepresented. They never filled any of the 16 week rentals, NOT one. The dates and resorts they wanted always had some availability but it NEVER met with the clients needs, surprise! I was told lie after lie.
I was informed by Leo Jamison on 12/24/22 at 1:05 p.m. that, "We will fulfill the contract but it wont be all at once." This went on and on lie after lie.
On August 28, 2023 I received a voicemail from Jamison, about having matched an additional week and he will be speaking to his boss about issuing a refund.
On August 29, 2023 Jamison sent me a text about his boss reviewing my file for a refund, "He is reviewing your file and will let me know this week what he will do."
Follow up and follow up and no response. Then on September 20, "He is almost done with client he is working with then you are next so I will call you once he is ready."
October 5, "He will be ready for you next week he is wrapping up with two other clients,"
October 17, "He has not got your file yet he is dealing with one other client I will call you when he is ready."
Then nothing. Website is down, phone numbers disconnected.
