I ordered 3 different colors of Paternayan Wool Yarn from the large selection they show on their website on June 7, 2011. I am still waiting for the last item to be sent almost one year later. They DO NOT answer emails. They DO NOT answer their phone. They DO NOT EVEN RESPOND TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. I have asked for a refund. NO RESPONSE. They have basically stolen my money and apparently can get away with doing so.
WARNING: DO NOT SHOP AT THIS COMPANY.
Here is a current phone number and Karen Murphy's (owner of Crafter's Market), home address: 947 Unicorn Trail, Chesapeake VA 23322. Phone [protected] or [protected]. I would advise making a police report to Chesapeake police. This is a common scam for her. The report can be done online.
I Will call them as well to make saure the phone number is valid.
i ordered 8 patches from this site, all in stock according to site. A week later a package arrives with only 2 in it, the rest said to be sent in 1-2 weeks. Ofcourse as you can guess, nothing. I have called, no answering machine available to leave message, no way to contact them via their web site. And of course she has charged my credit card the full amount.
Business takes orderscharges your credit card, then doesnt fill them. Then she will not return phonecalls, emails etc. when i calld her home, no answer ofcourse, and when i was leaving a message making her aware that i wasnt just gonna go away, someone stopped the recording and hung up the line, another example of them not only having no intention of filling the order, but stealing the money for a product shedidnt send. i to am contacting the chesapeake, va police depy and filing a complaint as well as sueing in small claims court if need be, i encourage all that have been scammedby her to join the cause.
I ordered an ASU Scrapbook kit for my son when he graduated from Arizona State University in May. By June 3, I had not received a single acknowledgement of my order, but money was taken from my checking account by Crafter's Market in the amount of $16.94. In early June, I sent them an email and they did respond, telling me that my order would ship in 1-2 weeks. Well, here it is on July 22, and I have not received the product I was charged for, I can no longer get anyone at :Crafter's Market to answer their phone or respond to my emails. Seeing numerous complaints from other consumers makes me wonder how this business is allowed to continue operation. I am going to dispute the charges with my bank and report "Crapper's Market" to the Better Business Bureau.
Last year I ordered yarn from Crafters' Market and was pleased with the order. So when I needed more yarn (needlepoint yarn is getting scarce in my area) I went back to them. Nothing in one month, and as others have reported, no reply, no one at the phone number, nothing but my "thank you for your order" email and a debit to my checking account. I am contacting my bank to see if I can get my money back, and will also try the phone number supplied by another complainant. Wish I had checked here first! Amazon has some wool listed, what I ordered came in 3 days!
I checked with my bank and they are going to refund the money Crafter's Market charged my debit card. Check with your bank--my claim is just a month old.
I'm in agreement with the above and having my own issue with Crafters Market. No response from emails or phone calls. I received half my order back in mid-August and now nothing and it's mid-October. They stated the remainder would be back ordered 1-2 weeks but it's been about 10 wks since they collected their money from my paypal acct. I too wish I had checked their reviews before ordering. I'm hesitant to order from somebody else because some complaints in the BBB read that they did eventually send the product. I don't want to end up w/ double the yarn. How disappointing that a company so close, in VA and in the USA, is treating consumers this way. I like supporting small business but will stick with Amazon and the bigger companies when ordering on-line in the future.
See if PayPal can refund your balance--I suspect that having some major banks and payment services investigating complaints will do more to correct this poor service/ripoff than BBB!
It hasn't arrived yet, but just got a communication from Crafter's Market that my wool has been shipped. Bank of America must have done something! I'll post if it actually arrives!
Yes, please post. I've put in a complaint w/ BBB. Told paypal they need to investigate immediately and get the paypal icon off their site. Paypal is a service for good services. I was on the phone for 1/2 an hour w/ paypal insisting they look at all the complaints w/ the BBB and online about the horrible service of Crafters Market. I have contacted all my knitting friends all over the US to be sure they don't order fr them. What a headache! And all i want to do is knit a scarf :-)
I know how you feel--my order was for a wedding present and a baby pillow, so both had deadlines! Crafter's Market also has a Facebook page which i tried to post to, but they seem to have one that only they can post upon. I certainly wasn't going to 'like' them to see if I could post a complaint. However, there may be a way to let Facebook know about the terrible service they provide!
VICTORY! Bank of American submitted a complaint to Crafter's bank, and all of a sudden I got an email saying Crafter's had shipped. It took a week to get here, but I now have my wool. I will never attempt to do business with them again, but pass this story on in the hopes that some other customers can get their money or their merchandise.
Do NOT buy from crafters market, Poor communication skills, my items were on back order I was not notified until two weeks out. After I email 3 times, and faxed her twice. I cancelled my order and asked for a refund as I needed the items for an event and would not get it in time. My refund was not made and I was just notified the order was then shipped out anyway. Horrible merchant!
Placed order Oct. 6th. They sent two of the eight wool yarns that I ordered promising the other 6 "one or two weeks later". Have seen or heard nothing for 5 weeks. No way to comment on their facebook page, a phone that has a recording but no way to leave a message. I believe this ### has been working a system on innocent consumers for some time. They have not heard the last from me. My complaints will be spread far and wide about this rip-off scam she has been running for years. Pissy Cheating Bugger!
I ordered 10 sheets of Ohio State paper on January 17th and tried to contact them today and could not reach abperson. Voice mmail said to email. I did that and email came back said could not deliver. What am I supposed to do? It was onkt $17, thank goodness, but she stold from me obviously. I wish I would have read this post before I ordered
My advice again--call your bank, ask that they refund your money. Bank of America did so for me and then went after Crafter's Bank for the funds and Crafter's suddenly came to life and shipped my wool. As the saying goes, "Follow the Money"!
YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE SHE STOLE FROM ---- Unfortunately she got A LOT MORE OF MY $$$$ from me
WARNING! Do not give anybody associated with this your $$$$ if you do you might as well kiss them goodbye! Be forewarned!
