railroad crossing @ main st & ford ave, 32218
The crossing at Main St & Ford Ave in North Jacksonville 32218, is very bad .
The railroad ties/wood is completely gone, it has caused damage to my car which I feel that is your responsibility . I drive a 2015 Dodge Challenger, that now has a tire system failure because of the holes in the damaged crossing.
Please repair the both of the damages mentioned
maintenance of our boundary fence. the law places the responsibility of both

RE: Need Immediate Assistance HOA and CSX- Shared Fencing
See Pictures below
Thank you for your phone call in response to my email on Friday, May 4, 2018 in regard to our HOA requesting assistance in the removal of vegetation from our border fence and the removal of garbage along the CSX tracks that borders our complex.
Please share this information and photos with the parties responsible so that we can continue with our Spring projects. The fencing is our KEY project, and the garbage along the CSX tracks (Blue Island, Il 60406...between south 123rd street, north to 119th street), has been neglected for over 15 years. Immediate garbage is a must. Rodents and the unsanitary conditions prevent safe passage to school for our children.
If CSX Railroad can remove the vegetation, tree limbs, etc. and garbage from the east side of our border fence, we will be responsible for the West side. Your partnership and understanding with this project will be greatly appreciated. We await your reply. We ask that CSX focus on our needs, it has been 15 + years.

train noise
I live in a small community west of Cincinnati, Sayler Park. Although I fully understand the safety concerns about trains approaching crossings, I think that more consideration could and should be given to where, when, and how long a horn should be sounded. We have to crossings that are in question. One is at Wilkens Short and River Road (State Route 50). This crossing has been barricaded on both sides of the crossing for several years now, so I don't understand why the horn would be sounded on that approach. The other crossing is 1/2 mile away at Thornton and Rt50, this one is active but it has gates on both sides of the track.
In the evenings of course it is especially noticeable as the conductors traveling westbound begin sounding their horn well before the closed crossing and continue through the second one which is 1/2 mile away. We've been told that in that area the max travel speed is supposed to be 25mph. With that in mind, it would take approximately a minute and a half to travel that distance.
I am requesting that consideration be given to stop the alert to a blocked off, inaccessible crossing and to abide by the 15 to 20 second warning at the other.
I would prefer not to approach this as a "Quiet Zone" petition as I fully appreciate the safety considerations at stake here. I also am not trying to prevent any from doing their job and earning a living. I am merely asking that what sound like anger issues at 2:00am be taken out in a different manner. Thanks
trash and homeless people
The property CSX owns beside my house is not taken care of and it attracts homeless people and trash. I am tired of having homeless people's foot traffic through my residence because it's convenient for them because CSX does not manager or maintain the property and it makes our neighborhood look run down because of all the trash and trees and weeds that the homeless can hide in. Also high school student come and hang out and leave trash on CSX property because no one is monitoring it and by the time I call police they are gone. Maybe cleaning out the brush and trees may help clean up the area and get rid of loitering by the homeless and high school students on CSX property!
Who can see this sign when it faces the wrong way for the citizens to see it and still trespass and loiter and trash the area because no one cares about it! Well just like residents that get fined for having trash in their yard CSX should get fined for homeless people and trash in their "yard"! If you can put the sign up to claim the property then TAKE CARE OF IT!
CSX has no solid contact information for their responsibility for maintaining their property. You have to
jump through hoops to get things done in a timely manner. At this time, I am waiting for some action in
regard to garbage and vegetation removal in Blue Island, Il.

rr crossing
I work on Pickettville Road on the westside of Jax, and there is a CSX RR crossing in real need of repair, last time it was repaired was back in 2011, and it is now due for repair once again, there are hundreds of tractor trailers that cross these tracks daily, it's a very busy area due to all the trucking companies on this stretch of Pickettville.
Location Information:
1800 Block of Pickettville Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32220
Near the International Truck Dealer
RR Crossing ID # 621251J
The poor condition of this crossing is not good for anyone's vehicles suspension be it a automobile or tractor trailer.
The last time we requested repairs for this crossing was 2009 and it took years to get it done, our many request seemed to fall on deaf ears at CSX, until finally I was able to contact the CSX CEO and I received a call back from a CSX employee that same day responding to our concerns and the crossing was fixed,
I certainly hope we can get this crossing fixed with out having to go that far this time.
trains stopping in tracks
It is 734 am and people are going through work and this train is stalled across the tracks again at st rd 109 and mounds rd would be the next intersection! I have been on the road for 15 hour and am around the corner from my [censor] house and I have to go back to work in 10 god dam hours and you need to do something about these things simply putting up a sign telling us there will be longer trains etc is not enough! That's just saying we have no choice or say! This is no longer a shipping place for General Motors ! I don't know why they are stopping on these tracks but my daughter was coming to my game a few days ago and the same thing!

trains
The trains are sitting idling in front of our house for 2 at for gods sake 2 in the morning and no one is doing anything about it renters don't tell people this and im sorry if this offends but ignorant hillbillies and corrupt politicians are a deadly combination. Whatever is going on with the devil CSX and terre haute is disgusting the town obviously doesn't have enough sense to make you have some respect for our lives and this has been going on since cowboys and Indians so know you both have enough money to fix it or are so horribly bad you blew it all either way please take into consideration we the people got none of it please stop your train assaults on us were helpless
noise pollution
Hello CSX
I live in Franklin, TN. We purchased a small (11 acre) property back in August. We knew that we were near the train tracks but could not get a good idea of the train noise prior to moving. We came multiple times to the property specifically to listen for it and never heard the train…
However, as it turns out, much to our dismay, the train runs all the time, every hour, and ruins what would have been an idyllic horse hobby farm for my family. The train is very LOUD and very frequent. Yes, I know that this isn't the company's fault that I bought a property without all the information I needed and why would a big company who has been around a long time care that I did that…? I will not be surprised if I do not hear back.
I just don't know what else to so I'm trying something…I'm writing in hopes that you could tell me that one day, the trains will be quieter, or one day they will not run on weekends, or one day they will only run during business hours, or one day CSX will try to limit the noise pollution and plant something along the line to buffer it. Anything like this would be good news because living next to this train is pretty terrible. ..I feel duped…we thought we were buying pristine farmland…but we just bought a whole bunch of noise pollution instead…it scares my horses sometimes when it is so loud even thought they hear it every day...all. day. long.
I'm considering putting this beautiful piece of property up for sale and would likely lose a lot of money because of the awful noise. Please respond.
thanks
relentless ear piercing noise from repetitive prolonged horn blasts
On march 02, 2018 at approximately 0350 hours and continuously thereafter csx transportation is absolutely responsible for relentless pain and suffering caused to individuals near and far, as a result of harmful noise resulting from the operation of its services. Passing trains with prolonged, deafening horn blasts and screeching rail squeal day and night. The noise is most unbearable during normal nighttime sleeping hours. The noise instantaneously awakens me from my sleep, causing me anxiety and inability to fall asleep again. This matter should be a very serious concern to our national, federal, state governments and local community leaders, because of the injurious nature of the damage caused to humans alike, of all ages. This matter certainly is cause for decline in an individual's health and well being, regardless of age. I sincerely believe that csx transportation executives either do not care or just aren't doing what is necessary to right the devastating wrong it poses upon the public. I am one of many persons affected. I would like for csx to take this matter very seriously and to take immediate action concerning this matter affecting zip codes 30310, *30311, 30314, 30315, and neighboring areas.

unnecessary blowing of horn!
I do not see the reason for blowing... Or shld I say laying on the horn at 4am! There's no crossing nothing no reason for that horn to sound! This is a residential area! It wakes up babies.. Well it wakes everyone! And god forbid that horn give anyone a heart attack! Stop the unnecessary horn noise during 12am -6am please! Have some common sense and respect for others lives... Csx is soo about safety issues.. Well this is a safety issue! Human health! Hello! Run your trains quietly through the night simple!
What about people who work all hours of the night? Just because you get to sleep at night, doesn't mean other's aren't out and having to sit at a railroad crossing. I mean what was there first, the railroad crossing or your house? They have a job to do just like anyone else that works!
csx trains idling in residential area
The noise of trains passing through the intersections in Tucker, GA, or using horns does not bother me. However, recently trains have started parking and idling not even 1/16th mile from our residential neighborhood near the corner of Lawrenceville Hwy and Brockett Road. The low bass, low frequency noise from the engines cannot be blocked, canceled, or masked. It prevents me from sleeping in my own home, and I can't even imagine how loud it is for the houses that are even closer. I have used CSX's complaint for twice, now, once about a month ago and once about two weeks ago.No one has replied. Again, this is a new issue, and I'm not sure why CSX would choose to park and idle engines within sight of homes. It's constant, and quite frankly, it's affecting my health in serious ways.

railroad track on county road 329 anthony fl
The rail road track on county road 329 in Anthony fl has gaps in it Also boards are loose. My car is shaking and vibrating it shakes when I am driving and I vibrates when I am sitting in park. I have to go across the railroad tracks everyday to get home. And my car is only getting worse and something needs to be done about my car shaking and vibrating because the railroad tracks caused it.
train blocking tracks up to 45 min at a time everyday
We have a business operating truckloads and employees with tracks in front of our facility and the trains block out entrance daily from 8a-6p m-f and we call daily to complain and nothing changes. We have more than 75 people working here at two facilities and if there was an emergency there wouldn't be anyway possible for EMS or firefighters to gain access to us. Plenty of us have complained and it's changed nothing even gotten worse to be honest.
blocking roads
11/29/17 I exited I85 south at Palmetto GA, Weldon road at approx 3:45pm. It has become an almost weekly ordeal, but a train is usually blocking the intersection at US highway 29/ Weldon road. Yesterday in particular, I waited 30 minutes before I found an alternate route home (1 hour with extreme traffic). While I waited, the local High School had several buses blocked from getting to the school, I also observed an Ambulance who appeared to be blocked. It looked like they got direction from their radio and u-turned and speed off. I sure hope the patient survived. Out of curiosity, after my extra hour added to getting home, the train was still blocking that intersection.
Is it possible not to have trains to block intersections that are on expressway exits? Especially during the start of rush hour?
driver of truck number 9122
On Tuesday, November 21st between the hours of 8 and 9am, the driver of a white Toyota 4 runner could have caused a major accident on 1-24e. The driver of a tractor was forced to drive on the shoulder of the interstate because your driver would not allow him to merge from the truck lane back into regular traffic. I was able to capture the truck number which was 98122. The driver of the tractor trailer had to force himself in front of your driver.
train blocking the track
On Tuesday November 14, 2017 at 8:00 pm, the CSX train at Woodbourne Road, Langhorne, PA was blocking the road for more then 30 minutes. I had to turn around and find another was because I was already sitting for 30 minutes. The train was moving slowly then not moving at all. Is this allowed? I will also be contacting the township for information. I would like an answer. This has been happening more frequently and should NOT BE ALLOWED. PLEASE RESPOND.
loud air pollution and gaseous fumes
November 4, 2017 I am in Plant City, Fl. Calhoun St. and Palmer St. witnessing for the past 48 hours a transportation train carrying 5000 gallons of diesel along with two tanks of flame retardant foam. The noise is incredibly loud and the fumes are heavy. Why is CSX allowed to conducts repairs or tests in a residential neighborhood? I was told that they would be done with work over 24 hours from now, time being 8:49 pm. I am furious that this is considered without informing residents. I've put up with the inconsistent blowing of horns ( I've looked up the code for this infraction) for way too long now. I'm forming a petition to thwart any and all further interruption in my residential neighborhood. I will also be attending a town meeting to bring this matter to the city council. We, at the very least should be informed of the ongoing work that is to be completed by CSX. Please prepare to address my complaint immediately. [protected]@gmail.com
needless noise
Hi I am a resident of Weldon, Nc 27890 and the trains have as of late gotten out of hand. They come through our area blasting the horn and I mean really laying on the horn. Lately they seem to stop and there is continuous banging and vibrating. It is very loud and disruptive. Even during the night time hours we have to listen to this and feel the constant rattle of our windows. Something Has to be done. Isn't there a quieter way?
Your trains lay on their horns constantly while going thru. I live in portage indiana off of dombey and plaza avenue. This goes on late at night when trying to get to sleep.
