early closing
Hello,
On June 13, 2018 around 8:45pm at the Dairy Queen in West Edmonton Mall, Edmonton AB in Phase 1 food court, we wanted to order a mini banana split blizzard. We were told specifically by the lady working the till that "That's too much work, we don't make that in a mini. Order a medium or a large for us to make that for you" ... Of course we decided not to order one since all I wanted was a mini.
As my friend and myself were leaving, an elderly gentleman who'd been waiting patiently behind us while we ordered, wanted to order a burger. He was told "Can't you see the kitchen is closed? No burgers. Order an ice-cream" The elderly gentlemen, as courteous as he was just simply shook his head and walked away.
I understand that it was near to closing time, but I don't understand why a banana split blizzard is too much work. Or how the kitchen could already be completely shut and wiped clean.
I have ordered plenty of mini banana split blizzards before from other locations so I am confused. As a desirable resolution, I would love to go back to this location someday at 8:45pm in the evening to order a burger and order a mini blizzard.
Thanks for reading. I know you have plenty of other complaints to go through.
ice-cream cake and service
Hello,
Today, June 12, I picked up a 10 inch cake. From Chestermere Alberta location
Cake design # DP21751-PC Strips-Thomas- All aboard
I ordered online on Saturday June 9 - order # 9332111
The manager was rude when I pointed out the the spacing around the cake and he said thats what I asked for. (Pictured attached) It was smaller then any other cake I bought from a dairy queen before. I paid $43 for candles and a cake that just looks awful. The manager/owner has had awful reviews around town but we still supported as my husband and children love their product... After today we won't be. When he said "Well thats what you ordered" i was so disappointed. This is for my sons 3rd birthday and all he wanted was thomas balloons and a thomas cake. i ordered the thomas cake thinking it would look nice like it did online. Please note the thickness of cake is thinner then even a sheet cake.
Pictures attached are of the size of cake next to a deck of cards as well as the awful spacing around the cake
We are just looking for a full refund and hope that the restaurant will be notified of how disappointed people are of their service and it would be so appreciated if it improved. We are a small city and this is the only ice-cream place and their prices are extremely high compared to others and service is disappointing.
awful service
I was overcharged.
On May 31 I went into the store at Maryland and Clarence in St Paul. I ordered treats for my 2 grandsons-a caramel funnel cake and a small chocolate mint blizzard. The woman who served me rang up the order. When it came out of the register she pulled it off and tore it up. she did not ask if I wanted my copy. I checked my credit card statement and I was charged $12.24. It should have been around $8.
manager
I would like to make a huge complaint avout the manager at the 810 2nd ave s onalaska, wi location. She is very mean to put it nicely. I have witnessed her arguing with customers yelling at he staff in front of customers. I have seen customers say things to her and she is rude back. There have been many complaints put in about her. The problem is is that when you turn in a complaint it goes to the manager and she is the manager so the complaint card gets thrown away. My daughter recently started working there and has actually gotten scared when she yells at staff. My daughter is also scared that she is going to get yelled at like that. My daughter is only 14 and this manager is not making a very good impression on my daughter or any other staff she hires. They have a very high turnover rate it appears. There are new staff everytime I would go in there. I beleive something needs to be done. I actually think she should be fired since her behavior has been going on for quite some time. I have heard srveral customers make comments about her.
management at dq
Last night went to Dairy Queen in Owensboro, Ky on Old Hartford Road. Management was terrible, got our order wrong 6 times. Took 7 employees to find the brownie for my dessert. Heard several of them say that they were about ready to walk out. Ending up getting home and realized that the chicken strips were honey bbq instead of the honey hot I ordered. Went back to the DQ and they told me that they no longer had the honey hot anymore. So I got my money back. I went to another DQ in Owensboro, they did have the honey hot. It's confusing when one store says they no longer carry an item and then you go to the other DQ right up the road and they do have it. The first DQ I went to was a total mess, hope they get new management.
buster bars
Just wanted to let you know the quality of your Buster Bars has gone down.
We have gotten them at least 3 times in last 5 months. All the same, a very little bit of fudge in the bar. I mean VERY LITTLE.
Use to be you had layer in the middle and bottom.
Why? You charge more and cut back on fudge. Ruins what it is suppose to be.
Please let me know why you have cut out the fudge.
gift cards
I already filled this out twice. Are they lost in cyber space?
#6128-3567-4535-0874. $15.
#612w|1912|6987|9943 $25.
#6087-2168-2237-6400 $14.38
Keep getting declined
I can't believe that you want me to type 350 characters! What is up with that?
We are very unhappy with dq @ 218 e elkhorn-estes park, co

I can't think of anything
Dairy Queen in Estes Park declines my 3 gift cards 2 years in a row!
I sub, itted another!
We have 3 gift cards totaling short of $55.00 and the cashiers always decline the cards. This is 2 years in a row. They DO NOT have an expiration date.
service
Today Friday, Jun 8 I was running from my son's soccer field to get the 2 large Oreo Cakes for my big party tomorrow. This was last minute order as the cake we got 2 days ago my husband put in the fridge and it all melted since its icecream.
I got to the New Westminster DQ location at 9:59 pm which is 1 min before closing. The girls that were working there locked the door. I said thru the door I am not buying anything that you have to make just 2 cakes from the freezer but they didn't want to help out. I was very disappointed with their service. I understand they want to go home and its closing time but really it would take them 2 min to complete my transaction.
I am very disappointed as a customer.
Thank you for listening
1. Ice cream melts if it's not put in the freezer
2. Don't wait till closing to try to make purchases from a store
poor service rude and wrong food
We visited DQ in Sturgis south dakota and we waited 5 minuets to even get anyone to come to the counter to take our order just to let u know we were the only ones there t the time and there was no one at the drive up so when we finally got to order I ordered a cheeseburger fries combo my husband the same but no lettuce again we waited for our meal by the time the realised we were still waiting they finly brought it out well let me tell u our fries were cold and slightly burnt my husband got his cheeseburger along with a heaping mound of lettuce and I got some kind of BBQ sandwich we took it back and told them what they did wrong so they took the lettuce off his sandwich and I got the right sandwich with cold fries we were a little no alot upset with the store
blizzards
My favourite blizzard is crispy crunch, for some reason, it is no longer available!😡😡 I was able to get it all last year in Neepawa, MB. I stood in line at the Brandon, MB Dairy Queen for 10 minutes last month only to be told, sorry we don't have crispy crunch, seriously? I was so angry and disappointed I said never mind then and left to find another ice cream shop that did! They used to be so good!😢
milkshakes
My mother and I went to Dairy Queen. I looked at the milkshakes and decided to get the peanut butter milkshake, and my mother got a strawberry one. I always thought there was no way to mess up a peanut butter milkshake, it's literally peanut butter, milk, and ice-cream. Anyway, we had to wait forever because they basically forgot about the man in front of us. Finally, they got his food, now it was our turn. We got to the window, she handed us napkins and two straws. Then she came back with our milkshakes, "Here's your strawberry and pineapple." What? Pineapple was not even a choice, and we clearly said peanut butter. I tasted it and it was in fact peanut butter. I laughed and said it was peanut butter, but then I took another drink. There were chunks of pineapple in the milkshake. And let me tell you, its not a good combination. Then, I tasted my mother's, it was so artificial it was not funny. There were also so many chunks of strawberry, at least the right fruit, but it was almost all chunks.
closing early and denying a paying customer service.
On 6-5-18, on my way home I decided to stop into the Dairy Queen on Cape Arago Hwy for a dessert. It was 9:56pm, lights were on, Open sign lit up, customers in lobby and cars still waiting in drive thru. Female worker on head set informs me that they are closed. I said to her but your open sign is still on. She replies that I pulled up right on the dot of them closing and she was sorry and would turn off the sign. I said it's 9:56 and she replied the same thing. Very polite but I didn't realize that she made so much money working there that she could decide to close the store down early. The sign said the store closed at 10:00pm. Now I'm having to travel 15 minutes back into town to give my money to McDonald's for a dessert I didn't want from their business. I think I will also post this on yelp And the Facebook page that advertises crappy service from local Business's in Coos county. I could understand if I pulled up at 10pm or even 10:01, but to turn a customer away before the actual closing time is bad business sense to me. So what is Dairy Queen going to do for me to compensate the embarrassment of being turned away while others were still Being waited on, expense of gas to get to another business, and my valuable time.? Thank you and I look forward to hearing back from someone.

6 pack of dilly bars
We paid for 6 bars but when we got them home there were only 3 in the box (Sun. June 3, 2018) As we live out of town, I did not get back there until today (June 5). I took the empty box with me and explained to the girl (manager?) what had happened. She said unfortunately there is nothing I can do about it. She would have had to be notified the day it happened. My word was not good enough (I am 75 yrs. old). It was like maybe I was lying/scamming. A replacement for the ice cream was not that important to me. I wanted them to know this had happened. I guess my advice to others is open the box, empty it in front of them and count them. I will not do business with this one again.
Typo in the complaint. Should be 4 dilly bars not 3.
Why didn't you check the box before leaving Dairy Queen if you live so far away. And yes, you should have let them know right away if you were missing items. They have no way of telling who is lying and who is not. I'm sure people try to scam them all the time.
regular fries
I went thru their drive thru and ordered a regular fries, and recieved a regular fry box with not even half full of fries. Came back and the girl told me they cant make anymore fries as they are closing in 15 minutes. I called and talked to the manager and his name is Veeru to let him know what happened, and the manager did not handle the situation properly, did not apologize nor work it out with me. Was very unproffesional and very not manager-like. I, myself work at a fast food restaurant as an HR person and deal with costumer's complain every single day, and After this incident I could definitely say that not every fast food restaurant managers knows how to deal with costumers properly. Here are the pictures i got.
clothing/cleaning equipment
First off I want to remain anonymous but my daughter works at the store located in Crawfordsville Ind and I want to know why these girls are only given one shirt for there uniform? The store just got new ones but none of the girls working there got any the new ones are given out to the new people that start there. Some times my daughter works four nights in a row and has to constantly wash her shirt or wear it in dirty! I don't get it! NOW for the big complaint! They were cleaning one evening on the drink dispensers and the knobs and in side the containers had mold in them they are lucky no one got sick! I think some one needs to do a surprise visit to our Dairy Queen and set some things straight with the managers etc...
free dilly bar survey
I purchased 2 large ice cream cones. on the receipt, it said you could take the survey and get a dilly bar. the receipt said to enter the phone number [protected] as the code. I went to the fan survey and entered the phone number and the survey kicked me out and said i did not have the right code.
I eat at DQ on a regular basis. each of the receipts says to fill in the survey and get a dilly bar. If i eat there 3 days apart, the survey says to come back after a certain period of time to take the survey again. is there a time frame between taking the survey. If so, they should state it on the receipt what the requirements are. It makes it sounds like you can get a dilly bar each time you visit and fill out the survey.
thanks
terminated of not securing assets, but had no proof I was the one at fault.
I was employed at Dairy Queen in Russell Springs, Ky. Hired on February 5, 2018. At first I started off on night then moved to days, learn front line then moved on to drive through to have the opportunity to go full time. So after 3 months I got full-time. Going into my 4th month, on Friday May 22nd after I clocked in I was asked to go to the office. The shift leader Coty Hills and another shift Leader Chantel Hoyt. I was told I was being terminated for money coming up short on my register. Was told they didn't say I took the cash that was missing neither did cameras show I took anything. But since my name was used more than anyone else fingers got pointed at me. I was in total shock. I was speechless. A note was posted about a week earlier that if your register was short you was responsible for the money to pay it back or get wrote up. Even though I didn't take the money I offered to pay it back, that option didn't apply to me. I was wrote up 5 different times that week and was never told about the first write up. I was given all 5 write ups at once. So still in shock I'm like what just happened. I asked like how much was I short for the week. Was told around $80.00. I honestly do believe their in the wrong. I've asked to talk to them about the situation and no one will talk. I believe I was set up. I wasn't the only one using that register. Yes most of the day but when I was on a break then a manager would take over. I was wrongfully terminated and I want answers or my job back...
dirty and tired restaurant and very poor service
I had lunch at the Dairy Queen on Stony Plain Road and approx 180 Street in Edmonton this past Monday (May 28, 2018). I realize that not all DQ's have been renovated but this location should be closed down. I ordered from someone who felt it was my honor to be served by her..including no smile...no thank you. Very poor service. I then sat down and realized how old and dirty the restaurant was. I took pictures to show the floor including the laminate dance floor in the middle of the 1980's tile. Also, you may notice the black on the bottom of the tables and chairs. That is dirt and grease...It is absolutely disgusting and I am surprised that City of Edmonton has not shut down this restaurant. I spent $13.00 on lunch. I would like a gift card with at least the refund of my lunch. Please contact me at: kent.[protected]@gmail.com
Thanks,
Kent Olinyk
blizzard
I ordered a few blizzards through the drive through window and both of the cups had damage on the sides causing a large mess in my car. It was very noticibly spilling out of the sides I am not sure how it was unnoticed before handing me the cups I also work in the food industry and I know it's an easy fix. I am a frequent customer and would appreciate it if every experience was pleasent.
food
So i went to the dairy Queen/ orange Julius in Mayfield heights... First off the establishment smelt like rotten cheese.. the girl working the register was nice but didn't know what she was doing and i didn't get a receipt which i thought about later, but most cashier's are supposed to ask always. I asked for a chocolate brownie blizzard at first it didn't seem like she knew what that was but then found it on her screen.. And she said ohh chocolate like that's not what i said.. so 2 minutes later the other girl behind the counter served my blizzard upsidedown like expected then me and my friend left. I proceed to eat my blizzard only to find a thick straight black hair in my cup. So i thru my blizzard out the window in anger and disgust. I would like to be reimbursed for my purchase ASAP.
